One word:Ew. Canned, bagged, frozen, nasty food. Guacamole was like Taco Bell guac paste. Carnitas was... I really don't know, cubed spam? Nasty. Atmosphere is silly, tries too hard like they are making up for the fact that they apparently don't know how to cook. Service, however, was excellent. The gal was a doll and I have no complaints there. It's not like she was cooking the muck in the back that they had the nerve to call Mexican food.

The food here will make every Mexican cook cringe in humiliation. Mexican food when created from fresh ingredients is among the best in the world. They don't use any fresh ingredients here. Appalling!!!!!

WORST American Mexican Food!?!? This just about sums this Crap hole up. If we wanted to eat CANNED crap we would have eaten at home and had our Pace picante sauce!! We waited and waited for the owner to take just our drink order but she was waayyy to busy hanging decorations up for St. Patrick's day!!! This is February and you still have a Christmas tree up. Will never waste our Money there again!!!

Premade burritos, caned EVERYTHING, nothing tastes or looks fresh and the restaurant itself is dingy, musty and not inviting at all. It's amazing to me that enough people like this places as It's been in cheyenne for so long. Out of all of the Mexican restaurants in town this is by far one of the worst. I don't understand the cult following. No bueno.

If I had read reviews before hand I would not have stopped. I am glad I did. First impression was the friendly lady who was my server. Next was the menu. It had reasonable options without being 8 pages long. It was also spotless. This is a telltale sign how clean a restaurant is. The bathrooms were also clean. That means the kitchen probably is too. I ordered the house specialty. While I waited I tried the salsa which was great. My entree was delicious. The fresh tortilla makes all the difference. I think some reviews may be a matter of taste. I have had something similar at Guadalajara. My plate is always swimming in sauce there. This was perfect. I lived in Southern California for a bit and learned what is authentic. This is pretty close. Try it and decide for yourself. I will be back.

This place was one of the worst restaurants I've ever visited. I went there on a Friday night and there were only 3 cars in the parking lot. (Red flag) It took 10 minutes for a hostess (the owner) to show up to seat us. It then took another 20 minutes for the waiter (same person, the owner) to show up to take our order. She didnt ask us what we wanted to drink she just said "what are you having"? We asked for drinks and chips/salsa. She said it'll cost you a dollar if you want chips/salsa. She then took another 10 minutes to bring drinks and chips out. 30 minutes later we got our order. Refried beans were canned and the rice did not even resemble rice. It was some kind of rice-mush material. I ordered fajitas and the meat was undercooked and tough. I got sick 30 minutes after I left the place and didnt recover until morning. This woman who served us was rude and acted like we were an inconvienence to her. I will never return there EVER!

I have been eating here since 1987. Good food, family owned. Great place for lunch or dinner with family, friends or takeout.

Great food, great service, great ambiance. Not sure what the problem was for others, but my wife and I really loved Estevan's, and we've eaten a LOT of Mexican food, all across this country AND in Mexico. Theirs is among the best we've had. We'll be back . . . often.

Have to agree with josh. Just not authentic Mexican food. Lived in phoenix 8 years, I know authentic Mexican food. This ain't it.

I walked in and saw the special was spaghetti; that should have given it away. The food was definitely NOT authentic Mexican (but not Tex-Mex either). I would call it American-wannabe-Mexican. My burrito was made with ground beef (not authentic), and the sauce on it tasted canned. I was served chips and salsa before my meal came out. The chips were from a bag and not fresh. The salsa was from a can or bottle. On the plus side, the restaurant was clean and had a nice, creative paint-job inside. Unfortunately, I don't go to restaurants for those reasons. This was definitely the worst "Mexican" restaurant I have ever been to, and I have been to many in Mexico, Arizona, California, and Texas (run by and patronized by Mexicans).

This place is fantastic. The food is authentic Mexican all hand made. The food is delicious and I would come back. The atmosphere is really nice. The food comes in huge portions so you will definitely get what you paid for. Overall if I am ever back in the Wyoming area I will be back (from Chicago).
