Thought is was pricey for the food you get. Frozen burger pattys... For what I spend on burger, drink and fries I can go to poor boys and get a burger from fresh ground meat...fries drink and it comes with a salad.

I love Shifters because they still have the famous Rex's In an Out Pizza Burger.

This place desperately needs a good review, and I am here to provide. I had good memories of this drive-in from the last time we were in Casper, and this trip they did not disappoint, either. I think they have completed a remodel and perhaps even a change of ownership since some of the last bad reviews were posted. Our food came quickly and was hot, fresh, and tasty. The menu is extensive in that they have every kind of fried food, burger, or blended drink you can think of. Service was friendly, too. They were not terribly busy so I cannot say whether this holds up under pressure, but it seems promising. We ate inside and the decor was clean, if a bit too cutesy - no complaints, though; they definitely put some work into it. The bathrooms seem to have some custom fiberglass work, even. I love, love, love the burger toppings bar. Pretty much the only thing that costs extra on your burger is cheese or bacon. The salad bar across from it was not bad, either. All in all, not a bad value for the money. Lunch cost us about $30 for two people with two drinks and tip. Locals seem reluctant to give this place another chance based on past mistakes, but I would eat here often if I lived in Casper. Local places offering this kind of menu are a dying breed all over the country, so please support this concept if you agree. Dare I say, they would be right home on the "Triple D," though I think they are much better off without Mr. Fieri's attention for the moment...

This place is horrible! We waited 45 mins for our food and then when it came it didn't taste good at all. The waitress spoke so quietly that we couldn't understand her and she acted like she was scared of people. I only gave them a star because the root beer was good otherwise they would of gotten zero.

My first dining experience at Shifters EBT (Extreme Burger Technology). This former A & W Drive-In has a few things going for it: + Johnny-on-the-spot wait staff and hostess seating. We were very warmly greeted and the waitress visited our table probably four or five times in all. We certainly didn't want for attention. Service was above and beyond. + Clean! Even though our roll of utensils arrived in a garage shop rag (in keeping with the automotive theme) I really appreciated the overall attention to cleanliness, a BIG plus for me. We were there after lunch but even so there was no spilled food or empty straw tubes on the floor. A nice environment in which to eat. + Cute decor, loved the pedal cars, gas pumps and signage. + While not off the hook awesome the pricing was nice. No $12 burgers here. - Meh's: -The food was so-so. My husband had salad bar and a hamburger with fries. I ordered a fish sandwich and onion rings. Both were totally adequate but nothing outstanding. His hamburger patty had the taste of Burger King grilled meat. Not bad or good, just okay. My fish sandwich had a lot of plain tasting mayo (when I would have expected a zippy tartar or even a remoulade sauce). Sides were okay. - My cola arrived in a mug that was so cold, the cola froze in an iceball on the bottom. Naturally when it defrosted the soda was completely flat. Not a really good idea for it to be served that way. Recommendations: Grab your doll in the Poodle Skirt, slick back your D.A. and head on down for a nice family lunch or take advantage of the old fashioned car hop service in the summertime. Like Yelp's 3/5 rating... it's A-OK.

It's an A&W franchise without the A&W franchise. I AM DISAPPOINT.
