My boyfriend and I, in from New York City and accustomed to 24-hour anything-you-want, arrived at this little restaurant around 8:55 p.m.--five minutes before their closing time. The waitress was welcoming and invited us to come in and eat. She didn't make us feel rushed or like we were imposing by coming in so late (obviously, we're used to another NYC phenomenon--everyone's an asshole). We sat down in a clean, traditionally-decorated space and the waitress promptly served us water and delicious hot green tea. While waiting for our order of beef broccoli and black pepper chicken, we perused the photographs and memorabilia of Hong Kong that lined the walls and sipped on some yummy egg drop soup. Our food arrived in about 15 minutes, steamy and smelling delicious. Having had a late lunch, both of us agreed we weren't too hungry, but as soon as we started in on our dishes we couldn't stop. The black pepper chicken was the perfect amount of spiciness and the vegetables were crisp and flavorful. The sauce on the broccoli beef was savory and not-too-salty, and didn't have that strange syrupy consistency that characterizes so many bad Chinese dishes. We ate absolutely everything, and were so enjoying our time in this little gem of a restaurant that we even ordered dessert (a simple chocolate pudding--a wonderful, light $2 treat). After enjoying all our food, we were pleased to find that the bill for two people was under $25. Overall, I was incredibly impressed with this place--not just for its welcoming and prompt service but more for its incredible food. I normally shy away from Chinese in favor of Japanese or Thai because I've always found Chinese food to be too heavy and greasy. Perhaps because they put more of a Hong Kong twist on their cuisine, I found the food here to be fresh, satisfying, and healthy. When my boyfriend and I went bowling afterward, I didn't get that bloatedness and heaviness that usually follows Chinese food. Definitely make a stop here if you live in Casper or are passing through. Among the numerous burger joints, steakhouses, and breweries, this place will not make you feel guilty about what you're eating and is easy on the wallet to boot.

There was another Asian restaurant my family would visit while in Casper and it was not as good as it used to be. Asking around I was told I had to try Ming House. I'm glad we did. I was told this going in....if you have a large party it could take a while....while it might be annoying, but not without reason. He makes EVERYTHING from scratch and for your order. So whatever you get is FRESH and good. My son is a picky eater and just dove in without question. The hot and sour soup had to have been the best I have ever had at any restaurant. I had the black bean sauce with chicken and it was amazing. The owner is usually the only one working in both the front and back of the house. A very nice guy. This is going to be a regular stop when we are in town.

Wow, this is not your same as everywhere Chinese food. This is well crafted, authentic and very delicious. The chef is from Hong Kong and came out to talk about his food and his life. The egg drop soup which comes with the entrées was very different than normal and so much better. The meals themselves were great. The Mongolian beef was the best I can remember ever having and beef fabulous.

After a week of traveling Wy/SD and eating a lot of redmeat we decided to try our luck with chinese in Caspar, WY. Went into Ming's on a Friday night about 8pm and only one patron inside. So we were a little skeptical. The chef/owner Ming was the only staff member at that time but since no other customers we got great service. Potsticker appetizers were great and so were the entrees. As we ate Ming came out from kitchen to check on us and we had a great chat for about an hour. Was kind of cool hearing how he came to U.S. and to Caspar, Wy via China then S.F. Added to the local charm. Would go again.

Very cute, lovely service and decent food. Nice to go more for the atmosphere and something different rather than an amazing cuisine.

Their gyoza was ok. The server tried really hard. Just... Typical Americanized chinese food... Not my thing...

I strolled into town from Denver and wanted to get food in East Casper by the mall, but my ride kept going on 2nd street towards downtown. Stopped by Ming House cuz it looked busy and craved Chinese food. To my surprise, the food is delicious but the order took time. Went back again a few days later and my favorites are Kung Pao King, Sweet Sour Chicken, and Chicken in Black Pepper Sauce. Try this joint if you're not in a hurry. Place was not busy but I still had to wait for good food.

Love this place. Everything is made when you order it and is delicious. The pot stickers are homemade and very delicious. The service is great and the food is better!

Best Chinese food in Casper. Good selection, decent portions, & reasonable prices. Only drawback is they are only open at night.

Never got to eat. Walked in and the waitress said even if we ordered right then the food would not be ready for an hour. I guess the cook had to leave during business hours not sure as she was unable to communitcate in english very well.

Popped in before going to a movie on a Sunday evening. I was the only customer. Therefore, service was exceptional. It took them like 7 minutes or so to bring my food to the table. The food was awesome. I liked it a lot. Nothing unique about it though. It's a typical Chinese Restaurant and typical Chinese cuisine. I will revisit, and update this review accordingly.

I was in town from Colorado and was in the mood for some quality Chinese food. Only a few reviews out there for Chinese restaurants in Casper so I went with Ming House based on the two other reviews posted on yelp. All I can say is what where you people thinking? This was some of the worst Chinese food I have ever had! I ordered hot and sour soup that tasted like vinegar and the beef with broccoli had a ton of canned mushrooms, nasty! To top it off this cost me $17!

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
