Celsius is one of my new favorite spots in the East End, and for good reason! The menu is wonderful. I've had both the spicy border flatbread and the filet pappadeau sliders. Both were excellent. Be warned though...when it says it's spicy, it's spicy (that chipotle cremea is no joke)! Their drink menu is also creative and fun. They've got something for everyone. The mixed drinks selection is awesome, and the draft selection is stocked with beers that are lesser known but packed with dynamite flavor. My personal favorite is Dirty Little Freak from DuClaw Brewery. It's literally just like dunking a Samoa into a stout. The sangria is not to be missed either. The vibe is A++, and the happy hour specials are much appreciated as well (have I mentioned their garlic parmesan truffle oil fries?!? )!

We enjoyed the atmosphere, the food was great this time around with Filet Tenderloins each with different toppings, Rissoto Balls with cheese and garlic deep fried served in Marinara and Dry rubbed "Moroccan Wings", served with Spicy Barbecue. Well priced and well worth it!

Enjoyed their Bloody Maria burger; a bit messy but good. Enjoyed tasting 2 recommended wines first ordered his recommendation! Nice place!

I have eaten here twice. I am giving it two stars because food is good. The problem is the service. The first time we went it was busy during restaurant week but it took 3 hours to get our meal. I thought I would give it another try and again tonight the service was awful. There is not enough staff if the restaurant is busy. I spent 30 minutes without a drink until my husband finally went up to the bar and bought our drinks. I ordered a burger which was tasty but it was delivered by kitchen staff and I then spent 20 minutes trying to get ketchup (again I got it from bartender) no waitress in sight. If you eat here I would put drinks in your purse and prepare to spend the night.

I love this location and wish desperately all my experiences here (about 5) warranted a decent review, but sadly I can't find anything good to say at this point. Last night sealed the deal and a group of us gave up on it for good. Here's what went down on the final straw: My first round of wine was old and almost undrinkable. However, after trying to wave at our waitress a few times, standing at the bar with nobody paying attention for a few minutes and blatantly being ignored by the owner who looked dead at the three of us waving and didn't bother to send someone (in fact he was talking to our waitress), I drank some anyway. All of our drinks were empty (except what I couldn't drink of the old stuff) for quite a while before the waitress ever bothered coming back to check. This was the theme of the night...drop food or drinks and never return. There were maybe 10 people in there, including us, and two waitstaff on the floor plus bartender so why we had to wait so long for everything was beyond me. When the waitress finally came back I told her how old and awful that wine was. She even agreed it was a funny color. Nobody seemed to care though. The food was terrible as well. The fried pickle app was overdone to the point it didn't even taste like a pickle anymore. I asked for the "creamy blue cheese" on the wedge to please be on the side. First round, wedge comes out smothered in what looked like a whole bottle of the creamy junk and blue cheese crumbles on the side. Really? The second wedge came out half the size, yellow and brown, wilted and not crunchy and was sour tasting. Again, no waitress to be found for a while. The owner was talking to some people at the bar so I walked up with my salad in hand and patiently waited for him to acknowledge me. He did not. In fact, he completely ignored me standing less than two feet away and never broke his story even when those he was talking to kept looking at me. Wow! I left that pile of rot on the bar. Still no waitress until everyone was done eating their meal. She then had the audacity to ask me if I wanted another. Ha! At this point I'm pissed and let her know how pathetic it was that the owner had yet to even try to say anything or help. She quickly went over to him and relayed. About 10 minutes later while I'm speaking to my friends the owner finally comes over and taps me on the shoulder to interrupt. Um, no. I broke bad on him because you will not ignore me when I need assistance and then come over at the end of a disaster and touch me or interrupt. Sir, you have zero business in the restaurant business. Oh, the bill came and guess what? Old mis-colored wine was on it. Ha! I refused. We had just dropped around $150 in there last week. Not about to give another penny on rotten old food and drink with the worst service ever. To the waitress: I'm sorry. I like you, you're a sweet girl. However, your service was incredibly horrible. Your owner is even worse so I don't blame you...entirely. Every one of us tried to flag you down at some point with no luck multiple times and our drinks sat empty almost all evening so when you saw the pathetic 10-15% tips know that in fact, we are usually huge tippers, but it was what you truly earned that evening.

I could give this place three stars but I'll let it go away with four. The food is just OK. They never seem to have any options that I like except for the sweet potato fries. Everything is overpriced I'm just OK. It's just offer the lounge he atmosphere her place like Charleston. However I'm not very impressed.

Given the mixed reviews Celsius is obviously inconsistent with service and food quality. Celsius is the best candidate for Bar Rescue that I've ever seen in Charleston. I have a feeling once The Block opens Celsius will be forced to close their doors for good. I've visited twice and this place is a laughing joke for a wine bar. The wine selection is TERRIBLE and the food down right sucks. I think people in Charleston get so excited when a new place opens that it clouds their judgement. I will give Celsius this, it has the nicest ambiance of any restaurant in Charleston. When it comes to building a luxurious accommodating atmosphere the owners of Celsius nailed it, the place is gorgeous. But you can't polish a turd and their wine menu and food quality is terrible. Just a couple low quality Cab's, a couple Blancs that will offend your pallet, and the food? I'd rather microwave a Hot Pocket than ever pay for another meal here. The flatbread isn't a flatbread at all, it's a pizza crust, the one we were served had MAYBE 4 tiny slices of meat on it. If you closed your eyes you would have thought you were eating Little Cesar's, it's that terrible. Three stars for atmosphere, but food and wine don't even deserve one star.
