The Prime Steer Supper Club is a classic Wisconsin supper club. It looks a little plain from the outside and the area is a little industrial. It lacks the rustic charm of some other supper clubs I have been to but this recently renovated club is clean, warm and inviting. We sat at the bar and listened to the staff greet many of the customers by name. There was some friendly banter going on and a feeling of family was in the air. The salad bar was simple but with a few surprises that made it interesting; potato salad, cole slaw, chopped liver and peas in sour cream, for example. A few more salad ingredients would have been nice. Our steaks arrived sizzling on a platter. My tenderloin was delicious and perfectly medium rare, my husband's t-bone was tender, cooked perfectly but could have used a touch more seasoning but hey, it's a Wisconsin supper club - basic good food is what you expect. We had many choices of potato and no one forced me to have any asparagus or other "crap" on my meal, per another reviewer's complaint.

We went early on a Saturday. One other couple was seated, it was not busy. We had no time to eat our salad before our food came. My husbands ribeye was blah- no seasoning whatsoever. My prime rib was very salty and not moist at all. The prime rib plate should be full of juices- plate was dry too. The twice baked potatoes were gross. Salad bar was ok. The only good thing was my sons cheeseburger. Will never go back.

Have to say it was somewhat blah. Old fashioned was marginal. Salad bar was ok. Tenderloin was tough. T bone had no tenderloin side at all. That couple of bites makes a lot of difference to me. It was also not to temperature. My sons baked seafood with lobster was best item on table. Saved it from one star.

Salad bar is great, pike was good. Their twice-baked potato is not as good as some.

I've been here plenty of times and get some sort of fish which is pretty good, if a little bland. My husband has ordered the prime rib a few times. The first time it wasn't good but thought he'd give it another try. That was a mistake. Still not good. Waitresses are friendly and salad bar is decent. Just the main course needs work.

First of all I didn't want asparagus and other crap on my meat, they said no you have to have it on there. The coke had an odd taste like they need to change a filter, water tasted fine. The bathroom was remodeled and yet had only cold water out of the faucet like a ghetto gas station. The food was above average but so was the price, overall not a good experience!

Get there early for the prime rib, it's one of the best in the area. It's a classic northern wi supper club, complete with a salad bar and cheese spread. I've also had the tenderloin, but it doesn't even compare to the prime rib.
