I love Thai Kitchen. Their food is excellent and the service is great. When you come here, I highly recommend their "Bangkok Chicken". It's golden-fried, garlicy yumminess.

OK, it's in a strip mall among all the car dealerships in beautiful bucolic Kirkland. But this place surpasses expectations, delivering excellent Thai cuisine in an attractive and colorful environment. There's an excellent lunch special menu that is reasonably priced too, with daily specials. I have had a chicken in green curry lunch special that was just right, and have ordered their satays and enormous takeout tom yum goong.

There are a lot of places called Thai Kitchen but this one is better than most. Its clean - great service - and the food is tasty. There is always plenty of room even for bigger groups. Its a great place for a lunch away from cube-land. I recommend the highly addictive yellow chicken curry!

Thai Iced Tea here is really good.

This is one of my favorite Thai restaurants - even though I rarely go to sit-down Thai places. The food is excellent. While of course I love the American standard chicken Phad Thai, my favorite dish is the garlic green beans. They are amazing. The Thai Rama is also very good. If you're looking for good Thai food, definitely check this place out.

Sticky rice with mango and coconut cream. One of the many reasons to come to Thai Kitchen. Pad Thai was fresh. Great seasoning. Ambiance was nice.

Wow, this was literally the worst Thai food I've ever tasted. I went in on a weekday afternoon. I ordered the chicken pad kee mao (drunken noodles) to go. I went straight home, maybe a five minute drive. As another reviewer complained, the wide noodles were stuck together in big gooey masses. On the drive home, I kept wondering what the funky smell was - I was convinced it couldn't be my food. Uh yes, I opened the container and all I could see was a huge pool of oil. The food smelled, looked and tasted terrible - sweet, oily and none of the flavorful chili basil flavor you usually get with this dish. I threw it all down the garbage disposal.

Blah! The best part of this place was the nice employees (would of given one star if it weren't for our server). Out of the 4 dishes we ordered we had maybe 3 bites of chicken and I hate to say but it honestly tasted like the noodles were steamed in toilet water :(. Won't be back.

This place was ok and comparable to other Thai restaurant till recently. Not sure if the chef leveled up, brought in someone new, etc.. But the quality of their food today was phenomenal. It reminded me of the Thai kitchen I fell in love with 10years ago in Bellevue. (Sadly the Bellevue restaurants quality fell quite a bit since then). Intense flavor, with depth, and fresh ingredients. When they do well like they did today, there is no comparison, they're the best Thai restaurant in the state.

I had the deep fried honey bananas because I was feeling like dessert. And they were amazing!!!! Everyone else had the classic pad Thai and said it was pretty damn good! I should have tried a bite because it looked good but I plan on going back to try it myself and I will update when I do!!

If your vegetarian don't go here. They cook your food with old meat dishes I had beef in my tofu dish. Not only were the woman there laughing at me and unapologeticall but made me save the dish, because they didn't believe me so I could get a credit when my to go order was over 50$ I will never go here again. The food is not that great and absolutely no customer service from the staff. Wish I could give 0 stars for this one. Nappako is worth the extra little mile from my house from now on out.

Ahhh this is my favorite thai place to go! Delicious and affordable. I get the Thai Rama (Swimming Rama w/ wide noodles) and Thai Iced Tea! So delicious! The coconut stick rice pudding is delicious too.

My introduction to this restaurant goes back to 1997 when I was a student at LWTC. I remembered it was awesome food and have wanted to go back but never did until recently when some friends brought me there for dinner. I love Thai food and eat it often. I love my spice and spice racks. I tried the Phad Kee Mao, 3 stars, with Beef and when it came out it was like a ZERO star. I asked for the spice rack and out came (Soy sauce, salt, pepper, and only two kinds of traditional spices...a mild wet and a hot dry). I've never seen a spice rack like that before and thought that was interesting and Americanized. I didn't get sick from the food, the service was very friendly, the restaurant was very nice inside, there was plenty of parking. But the whole reason we were there was to eat and I have to say it was not the best Phad Kee Mao I've ever had. It just wasn't good. My dish came out lukewarm and I prefer my food hot when it is served to me. There wasn't a lot of beef in it like at other places I go. My two dining companions really loved their food. I was sitting there comparing my dish to my top favorite Thai restaurants in Seattle like Krua Thai Family Kitchen, Thai VP in Bellevue, Noodle Land in Redmond or even Tommy Thai in Kirkland. For all the other elements that were good...four stars.

Should be called Lazy Kitchen. Worst wide noodles I've ever had. Noodles were stuck together in layers of five making a gross chewy mess. Poo line in the shrimp. Five prawns for $11.50 and they don't bother to clean them. I ordered the red curry at one star but it was FIVE star HOT. When I complained, I was laughed at and told that the red curry was the hottest curry and could not be made one star...well that would have been nice to know when I ordered! Seriously...she laughed out loud. Worst customer service ever.

I have been going here since it opened so obviously I like the food. I go there almost once a week for lunch and order out regularly for dinner. Sadly, management is not willing to correct mistakes. I ordered all of my food 2 star and it came back zero star. Super bland and not even good. It was through Dinner Delivery. When I complained and asked for a correction or my money back, the manager said flat out NO. We were entertaining relatives and I bragged about how good their food is and nobody liked it. It was tasteless. Oh well, I will never go back again and will be spreading the word. A little customer service would go a long way.

The worst Thai food ever! We ordered fresh spring rolls, pineapple curry, and some sort of horrible soup. First the fresh rolls were wrapped in wok ton wrapper and microwaved. Second the soup was flavorless and had only mushrooms and seafood. Plus the staff is oblivious to the fact that we told them that the food was not good. Anyways, don't eat at this restaurant! It's not good at all!

If the weather gets above 90 in Seattle you start thinking crazy or that you need to get air conditioning but i was hungry & why don't Seattle people get ac in their homes? So I made a trade, a couple cold drinks delivered to my table & all the ac I can eat... oh yeah they threw in dinner. Thai Kitchen usually has good food but I usually get their Pad Thai because its close to my office & the parking is easy.

Food is brilliant I've spent a month in Thailand and this food is legit. $7.50 for lunch special yellow curry and rice. Can't beat that!

  • Emma I.

This place has the best coconut soup! I get it almost every time I come here. Great potstickers, as well. The only reason they're not getting 5 stars is because they tend to oversauce their noodles and the last time my friends and I were here we were given dirty cups. However, those things aside, the food is delicious! I've ordered their Phad Woon Sen (vermicelli noodles and veggies) before too, and it's a great option if you're looking for a simple noodle dish with no extra sauce.

I actually thought I already did an updated review for Thai Kitchen but it has mysteriously vanished. It's been some time since my last visit (probably a few months), but felt I needed to provide an update. This restaurant used to be really good. The last few times we visited, the food was really substandard. The service is usually very good (except don't go on Valentine's day. Just don't). Sadly, I don't think we will go back. I had the absolute worst Phad Thai ever last time we visited. Even though it was months ago, I still remember how awful it was, especially when we were used to getting quite decent food at this establishment. It really does make me sad. Sorry Thai Kitchen. I hope you can turn this around, but from the other reviews it seems like they have consistently performed badly in recent months.

Honestly, this has been one of my least favorite thai restaurants in the area. The food really isn't worth the price you pay here. My food lacked any hint of spice despite me asking for medium spice. The tofu was a big blob of mush, it was a fried pocket full of air and chewy pieces of tofu. And the sauces just were just watery and drenched the entire dishes making them soggy. Not to mention the salt and sweetness of the sauces were just completely off. I'm giving this place 2 stars because it's cute, cozy, and the service staff was incredibly friendly. But I definitely won't be eating here again.

I've been going here for almost 15 years, but unfortunately my recent visits have increasingly gone downhill to the point this place is off my list. My most recent visit encountered a waitress who was so confused over their menu and couldn't grasp the concept that you need two orders of a combination dinner (listed clearly as per person) to feed two people. We ended up with service for one, and slow service at that. It apparently hadn't been a good evening for them as another couple final got up and left after they said they'd been waiting more than an hour for their food. I'd chalk it up to a bad night, but my two prior visits also were met with sub-par service. The food is OK, but if I'm going to dine in, I expect better service.

  • Sarah M.

The servers remember my family and the typical order, which is fantastic on the customer service scale. I enjoy the curries and appetizer sampler. They are very popular for to-go orders, and sometimes when we've had to wait our Thai iced teas are complimentary.

Best Thai restaurant in Kirkland. "sure". We came here about 5 for some good Thai food, boy we were wrong. Foods were cold. Thai kitchen exclusive "bangkok chicken" came out cold dry and tasteless. 4 Shrimps Tom kha cost 14$. Hey good thing their Thai tea is good.

First time writing a review but my experience with Asian food is excellent (I'm Asian..that's why). I've been to Thai kitchen a few times. This food is quite expensive (especially shrimp and seafood), but comparing to the quality and great service, it's worth to pay! I went there on Monday and ordered Panang Curry with chicken. I had it 1 star since my fiancée could take much spice. It was just perfect level of spice (the waiter said even though I ordered no spice, it would still be a little spicy because it's curry) Also we enjoyed their Crispy Chicken with fried basil. Pretty much like Chinese salt and pepper chicken but way better. Overall we love this place so much because of their superb service and delicious food.

Love the Thai kitchen in Kirkland. Green Curry is awesome but no need to add *'s as it's plenty hot. We love all the curry, tom kha gai (coconut soup) and our boys love the authentic pad thai (no ketchup). Wish there was a Thai Kitchen in our new area (Snoqualmie). I know there is one in Bellevue which is good but prefer friendly staff in Kirkland. Had bad luck with Thai in Issaquah area but there is a Thai restaurant I'll give a try here on Snoqualmie Ridge soon. I'll always drive to Kirkland to get my fav's at Thai Kitchen in Kirkland occasionally.

I've been eating at Thai Kitchen since 2008. This place feels like a well kept secret, nestled in a little strip mall tucked in the back, unless you know this place is there, it's doubtful you'd ever just stumble upon it. Best yellow chicken curry and chicken gang keow (green curry) i've ever had. I've also had their beef Phad see-iw. The food is hot and fresh, the curry is very flavorful, and the kitchen is always willing to adjust the dish to your tasting (remove this, add that...) Ordering to-go? Awesome food to eat home or the office. Have time to eat in? Also a good choice, the ambiance is nice and calm... but beware that this place gets packed at lunch!

Tried the pineapple curry fried rice...bad preparation. Tofu were stale and the curried rice felt dry.

I am quite shocked at the mixed reviews of this place. I ate there late on a Saturday and had a great dinner. The waiter warned us about their two pad thai choices; 'classic' which is more americaized and what we are most likely used to and the 'traditional' which she described as more sour and tangy. I was willing to get a little adventurous and good thing because the traditional pad thai was amazing. I also ordered the pineapple curry which I drank straight from the bowl. The sweetness of the pineapple mixed with the spicy curry was to die for. The chicken in both dishes was cooked perfect. I would definitely eat here again. We left with no leftovers! Which was a bummer.

I dislike writing bad reviews but after eating in this establishment, i felt the urge to rescue future patrons from having to eat the worst Thai food EVER! Papaya Salad was bland and was drenched from excess water given by the patty sized sliced tomatoes and leafy ice berg lettuce. It had zero heat and only a strange sour taste. The Phad Kee Mao was overdone as the noodles were soggy and the meat was tough as beef jerky. The Panang Curry was the only dish that was decent but still I've had better. It had good curry flavor but the chicken was chewy. Although food was nasty, the restaurant was clean and the ambiance was nice. Too bad their food does not match up to their interior decor.

Went with friends on their recommendation that the restaurant was their favorite Thai food place... Nope. I had the phad Thai, red curry and some fried rice. The phad Thai was close to flavorless along with the utter lack of spice when 3 stars were asked for. My curry was average but lacked the proper amount of rice for the serving I had. Ran out quickly and paid another $3 for another small bowl of rice. Finally I had the fried rice, which was disappointing to say the least. Not a restaurant I'll be returning to.

  • Elizabeth M.

I love the curry at this place. The red curry with avocado is one of my favorites, and it goes well with the sticky rice. Pumpkin curry is also good. They also have a delicious peanut sauce. Unfortunately the desserts are somewhat lacking, but every entree I've ever had was delicious. It's a nice atmosphere as well with friendly staff.

Forgive me Yelpers, I read your reviews but didn't heed your advice. My husband and I have always liked the Bellevue Thai Kitchen and now that we moved to Kirkland, we thought we'd give it a try. Bad decision. The first clue was when we walked in and the large clean restaurant was empty--very bad sign. We ordered four dishes (all vegetarian) and none of them were great. It's frustrating when the waitstaff asks how many stars you'd like and then the kitchen ignores it. We asked for 3 stars and got 0. Whatever.... The green beans with garlic were cooked and flavored well but were sitting in a pool of oil. The Phad Kee Mao was off (just like the Yelper said) and had no flavor AND also was incredibly oily. The fried tofu used were all tough and oily. They clearly refried the premade tofu and didn't make them fresh. (I am a chef and know these things!) The veggie fried brown rice was full of veggies (nice) but ALSO very greasy. Fried rice should be very dry. We hadn't even left the restaurant and both of us felt queasy from all the oil we had ingested. WE GO TO THAI FOOD SO WE DON'T HAVE TO ENDURE THE CHINESE FOOD OIL SLICKS! I honestly thought that I was getting food poisoning as for the remainder of the evening, my stomach was bloated and I was just not myself. We are not going to return to Thai Kitchen in Kirkland ever again. Moral of the story: Trust what you read on Yelp!

I went to lunch here today and ordered one of the daily specials; it was a good deal and tasted good, but... I told the male waiter that I wanted 5 stars spiciness and that I wanted the Thai 5 stars; I explained how most restaurants will not bring me a real 5-star dish and that was what I wanted. This guy flat refused to give me 5 stars! He brought me a 2-star dish at best. If I hadn't of been with a friend I would have told him to take it back, but I only complained. He said, "Next time I'll bring you 5 stars." Well, there will probably be no next time. Just do your job and bring the customer what they ask for. Don't assume you know what I like, I've been eating for over 50 years and know myself pretty well by now.

  • Jenn L.

I've eaten here twice, and as of today, have very mixed feelings about this place. The first time I went I was afraid that my pad thai would be ketchup-y so I ordered Pad See Ew, which was spicy as I like it, and quite good. However, today I went in and ordered a 5-star traditional pad thai, and it was exceptionally below par. It was rather flavorless, seeing as the lime I squeezed was the most dominant flavor... Definitely not spicy either. Hmmph. Probably won't return, it's not worth the $13 with tip.

  • Sameer K.

Not the best, not the worst. We have only tried one thing here (fried rice), but I wouldn't judge it on that alone. The curry fried rice was ok, something that grows on your taste buds as you eat it. I would definitely try some of the noodle and curry dishes here as I think they would be a hit. We took our food to go, but the ambiance seemed great. We will definitely eat in the next time.

  • Ashley S.

Ordered Panang Curry, Pad See Ew and Fried Rice. When it comes to Thai food, I'm not extremely picky and these are pretty safe dishes to order. The Fried Rice was exceptionally bland, lacked color, flavor, and any real ingredients- looked almost like white rice. I couldn't eat the Pad See Ew. It looked normal but didn't taste anything like it should. It was slimy and tasted like fish sauce was the only ingredient. Surprisingly the Curry was okay- the only thing I ate. If it wasn't for the curry, I would have given this restaurant one star.

  • Nanny T.

Two stars is a bit high. My o'my o'my ....warning, don't get the Phad Thai #62 either. Trust the reviewer's comments on the Phad Thai....was awful. I've got to admit, I am not easy to please but I will try to be as fair as I can in this review. This restaurant looked quite clean and the food was served hot, but the service and the food was unsatisfactory. I ordered the Phad Thai #62 with chicken. The chicken did not taste quite fresh and I had asked for #5 chili heat strength and there was hardly any detectable heat in it, and the sauce was very weird tasting...sweet and tangy. Had to flag-down the waiter to get some condiments including salt which should have been set on the table previously so I didn't have to ask for it. Nah, will not be going back to this restaurant to try anything else. Wasted money.

EWWWWW. Hands down the worst Phad Thai I have ever had in my entire existence! I hope there aren't worse restaurants out there than this, it would be very, very sad. My cousin and I got our haircuts around this area and it was lunchtime and we were pretty hungry. We both were in the mood for Thai, so I searched on my GPS and found this. I walked and thought their ambience and dim lighting was suitable for a nice dinner date....HOWEVER after tasting their disgusting phad thai, NEVER EVER COMING BACK. Their phad thai right off the bat looked too orangey. My first bite, it was very sour and didn't taste like phad thai. The taste was wayyy too citrusy and sour. I ordered a three star, and it was not spicey whatsoever! The phad thai is also heavily loaded with bean sprouts and strips of ONION...?!?! I have never had phad thai with strips of onion before...Both the bean sprouts and clear onion mixed in with the VERY SPARSE noodles was SUCH A RIP OFF. Their prices are actually pretty expensive. They differentiated "Traditional Phad Thai" and "Phad Thai," which I found pretty interesting; basically, they charged you $1 extra to change up the meat.... MOST DISGUSTING MEAL EVER! can't believe it has such high reviews!

Our usual Thai restaurant (Tommy Thai) is closed on Sundays so we went on Yelp to find an alternative with equally positive reviews. Yelp dissapointed us in a big way since the average review of 4 stars would suggest this place is a winner. NOT EVEN CLOSE. We ordered the Bangkok Chicken that was overcooked, oversalted, and too heavy on the garlic. We also ordered Pad Thai w/ fresh tofu and it was the worst Pad Thai I have had in recent memory. It was bland and tasted like they added ketchup to the mix. The staff was pleasant and the only reason why I didn't give this place 1 star. We won't be going back.

I love this place! It's my go-to Thai restaurant. Everything I've ordered is good. The staff is very friendly and attentive without being overbearing. I have often ordered takeout as well and it's always hot and ready when I arrive. My fave is the crispy spicy prawns...so so good! I have been to Thailand so I know authentic Thai food and this is it!

I've definitely had better Thai food, for sure. Being relatively new to the area, I can only compare it to the other Thai establishments in the same neighborhood, and I must say that this place just isn't as good. The Tom Yum Gai soup was somewhat tasty because of the overabundance of coconut milk, but it certainly was lacking in terms of spiciness, presentation and creativity. There was no taste of lemongrass, and It was oversaturated with giant pieces of uncooked white mushrooms, giant sprigs of cilantro looming out of every direction of the bowl like a 50-foot squid on a row boat. The Pad Kee Mao was decent, again, I've had better and far more flavorful kinds. And lastly, the Ginger Lovers entree with chicken. It was probably my fave out of the bunch because I love ginger, and they definitely didn't skimp on the flavor, sauces and vegetable components. Will I return? Mmmmmm, perhaps if I am completely famished and too lazy to drive to one of my favorite Thai eateries.

Not sure why this place gets good reviews....either employee/owner 'plants' or you guys seriously need to try other thai places out of the burbs! Tried this place a while ago and was not impressed, but today was 2 years later, and maybe it had improved? WRONG! Very average food, screwed up the order, even my 5 year old turned her nose up at dish she loves at other thai joints. And this place is overpriced! Maybe if you tumble out of liquid lime and are sloshed, this place may get more stars...but if you are sober, try something else.

  • Bert H.

I enjoyed the thai food, but it wasn't anything remarkable. I had an issue with the staff though, which is why they didn't get a middle of the road three star review. I can't have dairy, so I've gotten pretty used to doing substitutions at places. At pretty much every thai place I go to they're more than happy to do a coconut milk thai ice tea. Some places even offer this on the menu. So when I asked for it, I didn't expect it to be a shocking request. The waitress looked at me like I was mad, then told me that it's normally done with milk, then when I insisted she told me she couldn't do it. Finally, I was able to talk her into bringing me a thai ice tea without milk and a side dish of coconut milk separate. Normally, having to work with staff on doing substitutions doesn't bother me, it's just a part of life now. But this was awkward, a bit challenging, and more of a pain in the ass than it needed to be for what I've come to expect as a pretty simple and straightforward deal. So overall the food was middle of the road, not bad but not great and the prices were balanced, but the service was...eh. The total experience was one that if I were craving thai and in the area, I might go here if I didn't stumble across a different place on my way. And that is the warmest recommendation I can give.

We came here when we were car shopping at Ford of Kirkland and decided to try it here since my husband isn't a fan of Pho (I like to go to Pho Express & Specialties on 124th). I've driven by this place hundreds of times and never stopped. It doesn't look like much from the street, but I wish I would have come here before. The decor is okay, and every time we have sat in the front which isn't quite as nice as the area in the back near the fish tank. There is an area that you will see if you go to the bathroom in the dining room where they are storing random dishes and kitchen gadgets I think because they ran out of space and I think it would serve them well to clean up that clutter. The food here so far has been excellent. I love the Avocado Curry (I think this is a seasonal special). It is the perfect combination of sweet, spicy and creamy. And, it has a lot of avocado chunks in it, so what's not to love? I get it with fried tofu. My husband always gets the Panang Curry and I've also had it and it's great! Some of the best that I've had. I really love that they use a lot of Thai Basil, which some people like my husband aren't a fan of, but I love. I explain to him that it really adds to the flavor. I eat it. He picks it out. I don't really like that you have to order rice separately. Remember this if you get take out because we forgot once and they didn't ask us if we wanted rice and we went home and that was a bummer. The veggie spring rolls are also very good. And the Thai iced coffee. Overall, I'm a fan.

My girlfriend and I ordered take out here the other night. I ordered our usual beef pad-se-ewe and chicken panang curry both with 2 stars. It definitely wasn't overly spicy. If was pretty good nothing special, standard thai food goodness.

People at work love to go to the Bellevue Thai Kitchen, and I've never really figured out what the big deal is. Sure, the yellow curry is pretty good, and I've decided that I really like their traditional pad thai, but I still don't love the place. I ate takeout that someone else brought from the Kirkland location and it was pretty good, so I decided to give it another shot with an order to go. Called in, starving, before leaving work. Me: I'd like the traditional pad thai with chicken, two stars. Woman: Pad thai? Me: Yes. I'll be there in 30 minutes. *secretly wondering if I should emphasize the word "traditional"* I arrive 30 minutes later. She rings me up, gives the order to someone who goes to the kitchen. So apparently they waited until I showed up to start cooking. I'm not a happy camper. And yeah, as I should have predicted, she didn't get the "traditional" part and instead gave me the normal pad thai. You'd think that "traditional" is a pretty long word to not hear, and it makes a difference -- I like my pad thai with tamarind, not bright red with ketchup, thank you very much. Gah, still bitter. I did like the traditional pad thai when I had it, though, so eventually I'll try this again and hope that I'll get a better experience the next time around.

I've been eating at Thai Kitchen since 2006. Best Cashew Chicken I've ever tasted would be from this place right here. I usually order togo, but a few times that I sit and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere its always nice. Their service is great, English may not be a first language for them, but they are just wonderful people. The food has the most perfect flavors & spices. Always hot & fresh, and always in a timely manor. Excellent restaurant! PS the sweet & sour sauce that comes with the BBQ half chicken is soo tasty, love to have with white rice!!

Old faithful in Kirkland.. for Thai food that is.. This is my preferred Thai eatery in Kirkland. The food is good, the restaurant is clean and nice. Food taste authentic enough. It's a bit watered down and "Americanized" but overall it still has a Thai style flair. The food is very consistent and always taste the same so you know you will be eating the same thing if you order the same thing again. The menu is large and very varied so there are plenty of choices to choose from. The prices have gone up over the years but it's still a fairly reasonable place to eat at. Then again, the price of everything has gone up.

I have only eaten here once, but I hope to come back lots since they have such a large menu! My boyfriend had the Yellow Chicken Curry. Quite simple, and he ate everything except his veggies (not a surprise there, though). I had the Yen Ta Fo, which is a soup with squid, prawns, and fish balls. Extremely yummy!! I feel like I should have gone up another star, but maybe another time. I liked the booths by the window for seating. The waitresses are friendly, repeating back your order so that you know you got the right thing. Not too many beer or wine selections, so you have to get your drink on elsewhere if you want a mixed drink or anything outside the 5 beers and 4 wines they have available. I will definitely be going back to have some curry and phad thai at some point.

Good phad thai, but need to go three stars to get a hint of spice. Also delicious pork dumpling soup.

We had a wonderful lunch there. Their food is good. We have ordered take-out and it was consistently good, too. I like that it is close to home and the prices aren't in the double digit :o).

You know if owned a restaurant I would try hard to make it look somewhat authentic. Cheesy music and hard to understand staff are mandatory. The interior of Thai kitchen reminds me of an enlarged doctor's waiting room, combined with a strip mall hardly leaves me feeling like I'm a having a sneaky red curry in the centre of bangkok. But the food here is hard to argue with. I had the green curry lunch special and polished it off in record time. Not the best but certainly far from the worst.

I enjoy their vegetarian vegetable medley with fried tofu! Not five star because of their customer service could be better.

This place isn't bad. Food isn't bad, it's a little formal. LARGE restaurant, nicely appointed but it always seems empty and a little on the pricey side. If I'm hungry for Thai I've got no qualms about stopping here... but it's nothing special.

One of my favorite "nice" thai restaurants. I've been going for years. Service is always very good. For a while I went so often- they started to recognize me. Food is always very good. Kind of a nicer place- a bit more expensive but good. I wish they were more generous with the rice.

A-OK is a perfect rating. I prefer Racha for Thai food, but this one isn't bad. I have always gotten my food to go. This one is closer to my house than Racha so if location and time are an issue I will go here.

Why is this place so cold? I'm a top down in the winter kind of guy. My wife turns the heater on in the summer. But we both agree this place needs to turn the heat up. UPDATE: Thai Kitchen, although being too cold, gets a lot of our business in the form of take-out. That said, they've also instituted a minimum charge for credit card users, which gets them a place in my Convenience Fee Hall of Shame! PROS: Good Thai food, I guess CONS: You will freeze to death and pay a fee for the privilege.

Spiciest food I've ever eaten. They don't mess around when they make a 5 star. If it were any spicier the table would have caught on fire. It was pretty fresh and really good too! :q

Great Thai Food for great price for donning or take out. Have been there over 50 times in last 7 years and never disappointed

I needed quick Tai Food the other day, but it was about quarter to 9pm. This place was the only place open and willing to serve me at that hour so I rushed over and ordered some pad tai and some chicken of some sort. They were patient with me even though they were pretty much closed. The food was not the best I've ever had but it was good and not too spicy. I am most happy with the fact that they were willing to serve me so close to their closing time. I'd go there again for sure.

Just noticed this place existed while driving by (it's easy to miss), got home and realized we really wanted some Thai food, so placed a take out order. Waited for a bit in the restaurant, it seemed reasonable inside. Everyone was friendly, didn't have any issues at all communicating with anyone. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. Mine wasn't quite as spicy as I had hoped (ordered a 4), next time I'll bump it up to a 5, but that's pretty common it seems. There's a few things that I like that they don't seem to make, but all in all, this is a decent place to get Thai Food.

Was good before. Gave it a couple more chances after a few bad food experiences and disappointment every time now.

My husband and I keep coming back here. Their Panang Chicken curry is to die for! Also love their Bangkok chicken, Swimming Rama and Pad thai. When I want real thai, and great service this is where I go. I once called 5 mins before their closing time ( thought they closed later) they kept their doors and kitchen open for our order, and waited for us to get there. Who does that????? Love this place!

This is a very good Thai place in Kirkland. I am addicted to their Thai Rama noodles with Tofu. They have a vegetarian menu, but you can ask them to make any dish vegetarian. I give it 4 stars because their Pad Kee-Mao dish was very mediocre.

The worst food I have ever had. When we sent back our dish with meat that must have been boiled because it was unchewable, we were told "sorry you ate half". We showed them that half was still on my husband's plate. They did nothing! Even kept the bad food in the kitchen! I had to go seek out someone in the kitchen and finally said to come see what was on my husband's plate. After a lot of discussion, they took the $9.50 charge off. The dish with green beans was frozen beans with peanut sauce and a few pieces of chicken. The service was sub-par, the food was sub-sub-par and they claimed no one was around to make decisions or in charge. We will NEVER EVER go back. Hope this helps other people.

One of my favorite Thai places. The service is typically from non native enlish speakers so orders bay be semi difficult, but the food makes up for it. The quality of the ingredients is high and the flavors are great. My favority is the coconut chicken soup and the spicy beef salad.

Great Pad Thai, curries and rice dishes. You cannot go wrong here. Take out of quick, staff is friendly. A lunchtime favorite of mine.

There are a lot of good Thai places in our area, and this isn't one of them. Even the average ones are better than this. The "coriander beef" was tired strips of meat and peppers wok-fried in a soy sauce, without a hint of coriander to be found. The peanut sauce is passable, but bland. The Thai iced tea was watery. I am mystified as to how this place has been open as long as it has.

Thai Kitchen is awesome! I've eaten here 7-8 times now and they haven't disappointed me yet! The nice thing about this place is that they mix things up with what you'd normally find at a Thai restaurant. Try their Class Phad Thai, Phad See Ew, Salmon Red Curry, Pineapple Curry Fried Rice, or stir fried eggplant, they are all very delicious. I usually get tofu with my dishes, and they offer either fresh or fried tofu, yay :) Another plus about this restaurant is that their spicy level is very consistant (I usually get 3-star, and it's never too spicy or too mild). I usually dine-in but I have ordered to-go there before, and their service for that is very quick and they have your order ready to go usually before you get there (if you don't arrive TOO early). Their waiters are very friendly and always happy to answer any questions.

So I decided to venture outside of my normal Thai bubble and go to Thai Kitchen, which is also near me. (I normally go to Noppakao) Of course, I ordered the same thing I always do-- Fresh Tofu Phad Thai, No onion, three stars. And some green tea. What to say? The green tea was pretty good. I liked the cool little teapot they served it in, and it was plenty to keep me satisfied throughout the meal. They were great about refilling water too. The food was good as well. A little bit spicier than I would have expected for three stars, sort of left my mouth burning which I'm not a huge fan of. It was still good though, just a different type of spice than I'm used to with most of the Thai restaurants I've been to. Reminded me of Thai Tom in the U District, and just DIFFERENT than Noppakao, I could see myself craving each one separately. This Phad Thai was super spicy, Noppakao is a sweeter spice. Good portion, not ridiculous, and the service was good. I was satisfied, and I would come here again.

Not too bad for my 1st time. We tried the Phad Thai and the Panang Curry. The portions could have been better. My friend was surprised they actually charged for extra rice. The taste was decent to warrant a second try.

The food here is good but only come if you have several hours at your disposal...service is beyond slow!!! Happens every single time I come here. Called in for take out yesterday....was told it would be 15mins. I show up 25 mins after I place the order and I was told it would be 15 more mins...! And there was only 1 table occupied in the whole restaurant. I left with my food over 45 mins after I placed the order (which incidentally was only for 2 items). My time is worth more - I wont' be going back here!

Thai Kitchen is good, standard Thai food fare, slightly better than most of the Thai restaurants here, but not what I'd call "outstanding". Portions are generous, and everything I've tried has been good - from pad kee mao to yellow or massaman curry. They aren't afraid to actually spice dishes. I like my food hot, but as a white-bred customer, I find it's rare for Thai places to actually make a 5 star dish. Thai Kitchen *will*. So only order 5 stars if you really mean business. Contrary to a previous reviewer, I think their peanut sauce (non-satay) is decent. I have been known to imbibe some sticky rice and peanut sauce. They aren't the most accomodating staff. There have been times that my takeaway order was not correct. They don't seem interested or concerned about fixing that. Overall, though, I like and would recommend them for a quick Thai dinner.

Just had takeout from here as my first experience with this restaurant and it was SO yummy! I ordered Red Curry (w/ prawns), Larb Gai, and Fried Tofu Swimming Rama. All excellent (all 5* spicy)! Reviewers are right about ordering from the vegetarian menu specifically because the Swimming Rama was about $2 cheaper than on the regular menu (I'm also a big fan of the tofu discount). I'm a huge fan of Larb and this was one of the best I've ever had! Great food, friendly and ready exactly when I ordered it! If everything is this good the next time I go there I'll give them that 5th star!

Hmmm - where to review Thai Kitchen, Kirkland. There are 2 sets of reviews - the other with only one with 5 stars. I'll go here and give it a boost. We have come here off and on over the years. The last 2 trips, I finally got adventuresome with the menu choices, after trying things at several other Thai restaurants. Last trip was with my wife. Of course, we got her obligatory Chicken Satay with PEANUT sauce. The peanut sauce here is not as good as a few other places, but passable. The appitizer I used to like here was the Angel Wings, but this time they seemed a bit overcooked. We had the Coconut Chicken Soup (another must when I take my wife to Thai), very tasty. She ordered the Thai Rama - wide noodles with chicken, vegetables and MORE PEANUT sauce. (Do you see the peanut sauce theme here?) And we got the Massamun curry - it is Delish! In times past, we have gotten the Black Sticky Rice and Bananas Cooked in Coconut Milk for desserts, but were too stuffed this time. Plenty of leftovers for another meal. They would have gotten 4 stars, if it were not for the overcooked Angel Wings and the so-so Peanut Sauce for the Satay.

We live nearby and grab takeout from here quite often. It took us quite a while to find a Thai restaurant we like in Kirkland, but Thai Kitchen is quite good and consistent.

This place is ok. The portion is good but all veggies are over-cooked, and it's not very impressive for a Thai place... the service is ok. I think it's over-priced for what you are getting.

We were nearby and got take out. Pretty good all around but were disappointed they didn't have eggplant dishes on the menu. While in Thailand and China I ate eggplant dishes every night and have a hard time having thai food without my eggplant. With that said all the other dishes we ordered were yum

Some of the yummiest Thai food I have tasted. We had take out so I can't comment on the place it self but the food was very good. We had the following panang curry, phad Thai noodles, Fried Tofu and some additional assorted vegetable dishes. It was all very good. the vegetables were crisp and fresh. The Tofu was fried just right. And the peanut sauce was some of the best I have had. I could have kept eating on eating but I had to leave some for the rest of my coworkers. If you are looking for some good Thai the Thai Kitchen is one of the places to get our Thai fix in. I definite must go to the restaurant and try
