I love this place! Their sandwiches are imaginative and flavorful, their soups are delicious and homemade, and their fresh cookies and squeezed lemonade is a nice touch! Plus smiling and friendly faces behind the counter. With this amazing food, they should invest in sea salt or something better than little iodized packets of salt. (Same with pepper - how about peppercorn grinders?!) Pros: Quick and delicious food, with a large selection of bulbs to buy for "dessert"! Cons: Little packets of iodized salt, ala McDonald's - come on, you can do better than that!!!

The atmosphere would be a five but the small salad with mostly greens, three mandarin orange slices (from a can) and half a handful of craisens averaged it out to a three....the maple vinaigrette gave it an extra star. I am gluten sensitive and the staff steered me away from the soups and they don't have a gluten free bread so the only option was the salad. The greens were fresh and tasty...just not much to the salad. My friend was not impressed with the gazpacho or the quiche. But boy, it is a beautiful spot to have a bite! We loved watching the activity around the pond and marveled at the beautiful flowers. There were plenty of kid friendly options that I might explore if I come back with my little one....will report back if I do. I won't go out of my way to eat here again but if I am hungry and at Gardeners Supply anyway I might give it another try. The staff was friendly and helpful....and the view, paired with a friend made it a lovely time.

I frequent this cafe tucked inside Gardener's Supply about every other week. The ambiance is wonderful and offers the choice of sitting on the patio in the summer or inside the tranquil greenhouse area all year long. The food is consistently good and the prices align with what one would expect to pay for lunch in this area. My favorites include the Russian sandwich (yum!) and the Cabot Cheddar Jalapeno Soup (spicy but delicious!). And be sure to get a Gardener's Supply card (free) for a slight meal discount!

We saw a sign for this place when we were putting gas in our rental car before heading to the Burlington airport. We didn't want yucky airport food, so we took a chance here and really enjoyed it! 3 of us had the Vermonter sandwich, which we loved. 1 of us had the Cuban sandwich, which was very different from the typical Cuban (we are from Florida so we can get Cubans any time of day) but we really enjoyed their spin on the sammich. Everything was very fresh all of us thoroughly enjoyed everything. Thanks for saving us from airport food!!!!

This place is terrific. The man and I were headed to Gardener Supply and my parents insisted we try the cafe, which we did. I forget what we had that first time, but we liked it and had been meaning to go back for a while. We finally got around to it today, but right before closing (we move slow sometimes.) The women working there were more than happy to take care of us even though they were winding down for the day, and even gave us a free thing of leftover soup that they didn't want to see go to waste. We split a veggie wrap, two of the tomato-based soups, some cookies and a cup of coleslaw. No complaints here! Everything was delicious. Also, big points for having such a cute name. I love puns.
