We just got back from a wonderful stay in the beautiful Yellow Farmhouse Inn in the adorable town of Waitsfield, VT, in the Mad River Valley. Everything was absolutely perfect! We stayed in the Caroline Room, and it was very comfortable (especially the pillow-topped bed!). There was plenty of room for our luggage, thanks to the long bench along the wall, and the bathroom was beautifully updated with a Jacuzzi. Mike and Sandra are skilled innkeepers and the perfect hosts. They made us perfectly comfortable around there gorgeous property, and offered delicious treats such as fresh-baked cookies every afternoon when we arrived back from our day. There is a refrigerator available for use in the common area, as well as everything a person could need - Mike and Sandra even loaned us a backpack when we decided to go on an unplanned hike up Mt. Abraham! Lovely dining area, and comfortable and beautifully decorated common room. The breakfasts were something to rave about! Sandra is a marvelous cook, and each day began with a gourmet-quality two-course meal, along with plenty of hot, fresh coffee. Mike anticipates every need, and dietary restrictions/allergies are thoughtfully observed. I dream of those pumpkin pancakes we were served on our first morning! We couldn't have been more pleased with our stay at the Yellow Farmhouse, and we hope to be back very soon. You will be extremely satisfied if you choose this B&B when visiting the Mad River Valley.

Very happy we found the Yellow Farmhouse Inn for our recent 5 night stay. The location is perfect, easy to walk to main street (VT 100) and yet set back from the main road and separated from it by large green fields, so very quiet. The grounds are beautiful with rock gardens of flowers, big trees with shade, and nice green grass. A huge covered porch, with a swing is great to relax and listen to the birds singing. Sandra and Mike are great hosts! Very friendly, polite, down to earth, and great cooks. The rooms are great, very clean, and great views. We stayed in the Jacqueline Room. Dolly, a beautiful and super friendly dog was fun to spend some time with as she rested in the shade on the grounds. We will definitely be back to visit the beautiful Mad River Valley again, and stay at this beautiful inn.

We had never been to Waitsfield but after doing some research we decided to stay at the Yellow Farmhouse Inn for our trip. I am BEYOND happy we made this decision. The Inn is beautiful, the rooms are very comfortable, the living area is spacious, and they have an amazing yard with a deck and some benches - a perfect place to relax and enjoy the view. Mike and Sandra are also such welcoming hosts, it really feels like you are being welcomed into their home. The breakfast was delicious and basically a 4 star meal to start the day. They also think of things their guest need like a small guest refrigerator (perfect to put beer and wine purchases in) glasses for said drinks next to the fridge, a social area, fresh cookies baked daily, and a very nice selection of tea for throughout your stay. I would highly recommend this place to couples looking for a romantic getaway or even just families. It is the perfect place for anyone or group!

Just got back from a weekend long wedding (Thursday to Sunday). Had a great stay with Mike and Sandra. Breakfast each morning was great. The inn is situated just a short trip from the village where there is equipment rentals, swimming, food and supplies. Yellow farm has a great front and side porch to sit and relax. Out back are a few horses who enjoy a small snack once and a while. Would for sure go back.

My wife and I recently spent couple of nights here and we couldn't have had a better time. Mike and Sandra were incredibly welcoming and made our stay truly memorable. The inn is beautiful and the perfect place to relax. Waitsfield is a cute town and just a minute from the inn. We cannot wait to come back!

The Yellow Farmhouse Inn is not only the best rated B&B in the area according to Tripadvisor.com , it is the best rated by me. This very comfortable home has very large rooms with private baths and wonderful hosts. The breakfast each morning is made with love and is truely amazing. If you are ever in Vermont or near this Inn you need to spend a few nights.

We stayed here for four nights over the New Year period. As we had expected, given the very positive reviews, it was absolutely excellent. Mike and Sandra were incredibly welcoming and looked after us very well - including with truly amazing breakfasts and snacks. The room was excellent, including a great Jacuzzi, pleasant country views, and very nice decorations. We will definitely be returning here when we come back to Vermont.
