A very warm (good) stay. Not your typical B and B. what Really makes this place is that it is a D & B & B. D means dinner. Take the opportunity to have Lisa and Mike cook a dinner. I will be tasting the venison chops for a long time. Cooked perfectly. The room was very clean and very quiet. If u are looking for a traditional Vermont farmhouse textbook B & B, you won't find it here; but if you want something that can't be duplicated, don't pass by. Reasonably priced.

Mike & Lisa.. you guys are amazing! This was our first stay at an Inn.. and prior to arriving we had stayed in NY in a horrible room. The pictures just don't do this place justice. Once you arrive.. you'll find that it's a quaint place, parking was good and the front door was very close. You'll find that there are three floors, the bottom most are the quarters for Mike & Lisa.. and also the hot tub which we have access to after skiing or boarding all day :). The rooms really made you feel like home. Decorated, well taken care of, the beds made you feel like you could sleep in them all day! 2nd floor has I believe 5 rooms.. and the dining area is on the same floor. 3rd floor has 5 more rooms and also and area with a TV and a cozy fireplace. 4th floor is the game room.. Pool table.. foosball.. plenty of board games.. even darts. In the morning they have a lovely breakfast menu.. with french toast.. and many other available options. Mike & Lisa run the show so they freshly prepare this meal for you! (dinner is available too, you must provide prior notice for them in the morning time though so they can prepare accordingly) I was hesitant to write the review because well.. It would suck if next time they were soo busy I couldn't book a room LOL. This place pretty much MADE our experience in Vermont.. they were very kind to us.. and even shared tons of stories about their travels and foods they enjoyed. You'll find several travel guides for places which they've explored.. be sure to ask them about their experiences! We'll be back.. heck we were practically planning our next trip when we first arrived lol.

I stayed at Weathertop several years ago, and the experience was so good that I promised Mike & Lisa I would return the next time I was in Vermont. That happened to be last week, and as promised, my wife and I came back for another two nights at Weathertop. What can I say. Mike & Lisa exceeded our expectations yet again, with carefully prepared and delicious dinners, wonderful wine selections, and great conversation. This time we had a lot more free time to hang out in the great room, which was super relaxing with the snow falling outside, the fire burning inside and the soothing chillout music in the background. This was a much, much needed two days of relaxation for us and we couldn't imagine spending it anywhere else in the Mad River area. Highly recommended!

We booked last minute over the holiday week and felt so lucky to get a nice room here. We loved the themed rooms - ours was Robert Frost and had his famous poem on the door. The whole house is super clean, extra warm and comfy (mmm 2 fireplaces and a beautiful great room and game room). It's great they provide robes, a fridge, and delicious local bath amenities. Unfortunately no conditioner though, and my hair was a huge tangled mess. Such a nice bonus to have a hot tub and sauna! We loved how they were located in their own tiny room so it was nice and private. Breakfast was totally amazing. So deluxe that they cook it to order, plus we saw the local egg delivery! I would only suggest that they put out some continental breakfast items early in the morning. They didn't start serving til 7:30 (early for ski season, but not early enough), so we were unable to enjoy it and also make it to the mountain for fresh tracks. I was sooo sad to leave before trying the french toast this morning!
