Super friendly and love having such a cute and sweet place in Richmond! Their coconut cupcakes.. Well actually all of their cupcakes are super yummy. Molasses cookies are my other love there. It's a cute place inside, about 7 tables to sit at. Want to try their shakes and ice cream on our next visit.

This little bakery offers a pretty sizable selection of sweets and bagels etc. I have been here a handful of times and the items are average to above average in taste and price. Good coffee and they also have an assortment of other Italian style caffeinated drinks. There are a couple of things I just don't understand though. Every time I've been here my experience at the counter has been different. I have been explained the same items in different ways, asked random questions, given instructions on how to add milk or creamer to my coffee in vastly different locations and ways, and been given wrong information on items. Every single time this happens, it's comical. I will chalk it up to new hired help. Also why do you not toast the bagels? The breakfast sandwiches are also cold. I can't think of any reason to serve these items cold. It's not overly difficult to toast a bagel or heat a breakfest sandwhich. The owner must know more about serving her items than I do. This place and the new Parkside Kitchen are fine establishments but ultimately they leave me missing the closed On the Rise Bakery. Overall though i would reccomend stopping in, especially on a cold winter day.

Stopped in recently and fell in love with the cozy interior and delicious treats. My one comment is I wish that they regularly had lunch items. Even a small selection of soups / sandwiches on house made bread would be wonderful. I was in over lunchtime and specifically hoping for something lunch-ish but ended up with a latte and scone. I inquired with the girl working the counter but was told what they had was what was available. Both really, REALLY good but a wider range of food options, regularly offered, would be a great improvement. No doubt I'll be in again, though - really tasty!

I was curious about this bakery, which opened a couple weeks ago. On my way back from skiing at Bolton, I stopped by to give some pastries a try and sit for a caffeinated beverage. The shop has a friendly open atmosphere with 7 tables for casual seating. The bakery cases had some great choices of pastries, cookies, and scones including a gluten free option. I enjoyed my cafe mocha with a chocolate croissant. The croissant had a wonderful crust and soft texture of the inside along with a wonderful semi-sweet chocolate on the inside and drizzled on the outside. The mocha was a nice warm treat to compliment the croissant. Children gravitate to the pastry cases as it the assortment is tantalizing. I happen to be around to see a couple have a wedding cake tasting. They had three cakes (3 inch round mini cake versions) that looked great and friends, who happen to know the couple, got to taste these treats which they said were a delight. I could not help bringing home a sampling of scones (one sweet, one savory), a tart, and a New York style crumb cake. This bakery is welcome addition and draw to Richmond.

Is it just me or do all the pastries need a touch more salt? I've tried various muffins and cakes and cookies, but nothing is good enough to make me crave it later. Nice place to grab coffee in the morning though, so that's good.

Great new addition to Richmond! Delicious treats, iced coffee and cake. Coconut cake is a must try.

What makes Richmond, Vermont such a magnet for a bakery? I really don't know but this bakery, Sweet Simon's is good and resoable. The pieces of pastry are generous I could not finish my NY style crumb cake...the bakery is open and airy, with an open kitchen. The only caveat is that some heavy duty renovations are going on almost next door, lots of dust and workers throwing stuff down from the top floor.
