When you're visiting Vermont, you want a good Vermont-y breakfast. If you're around Quechee/Woodstock, Dana's is where you get it. I went there for breakfast Labor Day weekend ('08) and had a lovely meal with my family. It's a family-owned place that seems to be a favorite among locals as well as visitors, a place to be a regular. It's friendly, sunny, hearty (not at all heavy or greasy), comfortable and family-friendly. And I love the little quotes they have painted on the sugar boxes on the tables.

Two stars for the sweetness of the customers. This place is far overpriced for the quality and quantity. Their signature burger looked like something from a random cook out in a back yard than a restaurant and for 12.50 I'd expect better. A McDonald's burger has more oomph than this had. In addition, it came out and I had to look for the additional things on it beyond cheese because it wasn't even noticeable and was actually missing the bacon. We had to repeatedly ask for more water and given how hot it was out, that was not a pleasant experience. Would not recommend this place at all.

Good but just.....good! Nothing special except the service. Great server! Food was basic breakfast items. We came for breakfast and it was good but not spectacular. Clean and pleasant. Bright sunny decor. A little over priced for portion size and amount.

Stopped here today (9/23/2015) for a quick breakfast before heading to VINS. I ordered the farmers breakfast. I was asked if I wanted hash browns, but wasn't told there would be an additional charge of $2.50. My quick, supposedly inexpensive breakfast wasn't worth it at all. Do not recommend.

Nice little place "near the Gorge." Nothing overly special, but nice and casual with seating that is bright from all the windows.

(see explanation of ratings below) 3 of 4 stars (good, casual dining). Breakfast and lunch only. Nothing fancy, but reliable. Ask to sit on the porch to the right. About $10 per person for lunch, before tip, no dessert. Allow thirty minutes. About my ratings: Only high-priced dining establishments can garner five stars. Until yelp realizes that a fast food joint cannot possibly be ranked equally with a $100 per person place, I need to draw the line somewhere. If we were only talking about the quality and presentation of the food, it would be a different story. But, as we know, yelp's rankings take into account the entire dining experience. Therefore, I divide restaurants into three categories (and I wish yelp would do the same): 1) fast food and "fast-casual", low-priced (no table service). 2) casual, mid-priced dining (table service, average entrée price: $10-$20). 3) fine, high-priced dining (linen napkins, no plastic cups, no TV's in dining room, average entrée priced at more than $20, can vary depending on the city). High-priced dining can earn a max of five stars. Mid-priced dining can earn a max of four stars. Fast food can earn a max of three stars.

We stopped here to lunch prior to a wedding at the Quechee Club. I ordered a chicken and asparagus wrap that had some type of caesar/parmesan dressing in it. It was actually very tasty and filling. Prices were good and food was good, so you can't ask for much else. Also - this restaurant is right by the gorge, so try to walk over to check it out after you eat!

Not too shabby. The food was really fresh tasting. Just passing through and happen to stop here. Glad we did.

Dana's is a longstanding favorite with my family; our most recent visit included incredibly delicious multigrain and pumpkin pancakes served by an always friendly and gracious staff. Dana's is always running fresh specials, and perfected their staple-dishes, resulting in consistently enjoyable meals. A wonderfully Vermonty place to enjoy breakfast or lunch!

Eh, ya know, its ok. Decent coffee and "homeade" blueberry coffee cake. Hit it or skip it, i guess im neutral on it. The girl working, Sara, was quite friendly though!

Have been going to Quechee Gorge for a long time and finally stopped in. 12:30 on the Saturday of Columbus weekend and they were not full. I got their chicken salad sandwich, which was fine - with cashews, as advertised. Menu is very standard, with not many options for vegans/vegetarians.

Went to Dana's this morning. It was 11:35 a.m. Wanted breakfast. Was told it ended @ 11:30. Thinking that lunch would be great. Guess what! High School Cafeteria food. Veggie burger right out of a frozen package...Deluxe Turkey Sandwich served on something that resembled Wonder Bread....Cole Slaw and 2 iced teas. $24.00. Terrible...Re-think your stop at this road side spot. Very clean and appealing. But...Time to kick up the food about 100 notches!

If it werent for the great pancakes, I would give this place a bad rating. The place has been here since I was kid and has jacked it's prices up so much it was a shock to see the bill for a few pancakes and a soggy egg white omlette that was a mess. The place sits in the tourist trap known as the Quechee Gorge and caters to the passer byers that want to grab a quick bite for breakfast or lunch. It has an outdoor porch ad an inside dining room that looks like the living room of someone's house. The staff is okay, a bit scattered but quick. The menu is a collection of local favorites and regular items. Why they have liquor in this place snce it does not serve dinnr is beyond me. The food was okay. The pancakes are the best and you can get a sampler of blueberry or chocolate chip and apple cinnamon. The ham and bacon are okay, a bit thin. My wife got an awfull mess of an omlette that was soupy cheddar with ham and it was so thin and fell apart it was a simple disaster. The worst part was the bill, when it came we almost fell off our chair. I would skip this place as it is not worth the price and is not great food except for the pancakes. But even that was not worth what we paid.
