The service is fast the buffets are clean and my Chinese says that this location is closest to what she are in China. My coworker brought me here to have the best "Chinese food in this area". The buffet area is very clean and always nicely stocked. The seating is big enough for the crowds not to ruin the experience. Today I saw a group of 30 people get served in a seperate room from the main dining area(thanks for that) keeping the awards show or whatever lunch function with hand clapping off to them selves. The price is good the food is good and if you need to eat with great variety eat at great china buffet...did I just give them a commercial?

If you get it when it's first cooked, it's good but they don't put a lot out and it sets out too long. I have had some fried items that appeared to have been reheated up from previous nite. They don't keep the desserts covered and they are usually hard or stale. If you want crab legs or shrimp then that is usually good but I cannot recommend the rest of the buffet items.

Went in for dinner. Went to get food and it was cold. Drinks were just served and I wanted to talk to the manager about the cold food. His response was "Don't you see, there are no people in here; just pay for your drinks and get out I don't want to see your face anymore. Go somewhere else." Sad, because the company I work for goes there at least once a week for lunch. Guess we won't be going there anymore

I came here for lunch which costs less than $8. Military gets 10% discount for lunch only. The variety of the food is decent for the price. The food is pretty average and they also have a "hibachi" which is more like Mongolian style on a hibachi grill. For less than $8, I don't think you can really ask for much more, especially when you can consume as much food as me (4-5 plates plus dessert).

It was a choice between here or Applebee's one Tuesday evening. Ugh, what a tough choice. Not because both are so good, but because both are so bad. In the end, I probably would have chosen the Chinese buffet anyway, but that doesn't mean I'm happy with my visit here. Dinners here on Mondays through Thursdays from 4:00 to 9:30 PM are $10.99, which honestly isn't that cheap. Don't get the crab legs; that'll just add another $3.99 to your bill and you'll probably be killing the whole appeal of having a buffet if you take it to that level. They also charged me $1.49 for a drink even though I asked for water. Lame. The food here is just your average greasy junk food. Some of it is Americanized Chinese cuisine; some of it isn't anything and is just generic food placed out there for the sake of filling your stomach so that you can't get to the better items. You really don't need to load up your plate with fries and chicken nuggets. I mean come on. Instead, some of the better options are things like fried rice, fried noodles, and seafood. Definitely avoid the uncooked ones, though. They've been sitting out there for god knows how long, and most likely they're not completely sanitary. Don't blame me if you get sick for eating the sushi. The desserts, also... don't waste your time with the desserts. I did get a bowl of ice cream from the ice cream machine because I've always thought those were cool. They also had sprinkles, chopped peanuts, and shredded coconut available as toppings. But it's just plain soft serve. If you're going to come here at all, get some of the better items and ignore everything else. Also, I would advise very carefully examining everything you eat; foodborne sickness is a very common problem among buffets, and I unfortunately don't see many steps being taken against that at this restaurant.

This was our first and last visit to this restaurant. The food was old and took forever to get fresh food brought out. This is dinner time and the food should be fresh and the place should be full. There is hardly any customers, that should have been our first clue. They have a lot of food choices but who wants to eat crunchy noodles or chicken you can't cut because it's so old. The ice cream tasted like jack Daniels. Maybe I mis read the flavor. I know these places are not known for dessert but at least have something that doesn't taste like alcohol or something that you can actually eat. So my advice is don't eat here, there has to be something better somewhere.

This place had some of the worst food that I have ever put into my mouth. Some of it was noticeably undercooked, they continuously forgot to fill up the empty buffet food trays, and the service was awful. There are TONS of fantastic restaurants around the area. Save your money for one of them.

The lunch special is definitely worth the money. Especially if you show up right when it starts because everything is fresh. The dinner buffet is $3 more for essentially the same food but it may have been sitting out for a while depending on when you show up.

Terrible! Don't even waste your time trying this place! They do not replenish their food, the food was Luke warm at best and the fried rice was a pile of yellow mush! Decided to get ice cream for dessert, it comes out of a machine so you cant really mess that up, or so I thought! It was melting coming out of the machine! I had a pile of milk in my bowl! I DO NOT recommend this place to anyone!

I've written several reviews for this buffet before. The food is acceptable and service excellent. I've got no complaints.

Maybe it was an off night for the cook - but my experience was not good. Much of the food had absolutely no taste. The crab legs had no seasoning at all - it may have well as been cardboard. I thought I could rescue them with the melted butter, but apparently they used the no-salt butter for it too, had absolutely no taste! What a disappointment. The sushi was dry and old (crunchy rice...), the egg drop soup was very bland, and even egg rolls seemed to be tasteless, with an overly thick wrapper (that was partially raw). Some of the "saucy" dishes (beef with broccoli, Gen. Tsao chicken, etc.) was sweet - perhaps too sweet for my liking, but at least it had some taste. Even the ice cream was not quite right - not creamy, but icy. We visited around 7 pm on a Tuesday night, so it wasn't an off hour - but it just wasn't good food. The bathrooms left a lot to be desired as well - dirty counters, sticky surfaces - yuck! And the final insult was the bill - it seemed pretty steep for what was delivered (especially given the additional charge for the awful crab legs). The next time I pass through the area, I will stay away!

Not good. They do not replenish their food in a timely manner. They wait for the food to either be completely gone or dried up. I was asked if I was going to eat crab legs as I entered the restaurant. Come to find out they add an extra charge to my buffet total. I've never seen anyone do that. Usually it's just one set price for the buffet. I am not from the area, but if I was, I still would not return. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. Save your money. Go elsewhere!

I had exam in Richmond at 8:30am with nothing in my stomach. By the time I was done it was close to 11:00am. I was so glad that I picked this place to eat for lunch. There were tons of military guys when I was there. I guess there a military base near there or something... hey.. I'm not complaining :D Oh... the decors are very modern. simple yet elegance. they have tons of sea food, everything was fresh, season just perfect, sweet tea was refreshing and there were a lot of seats that could probably fits over 200 or more.

I've been to many different buffets all over the US, this by far is the worst place I have been to. The food was just horrible! The sesame balls were so hard, you couldn't bite through them. The soups were very bland, the fried shrimp had a dry crust and tasted awful, the pot stickers seemed raw on the inside, the plates were dirty, and it was just gross. I barely ate a plate and got up and left still hungry and disappointed.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
