I don't set the bar too high when I visit IHOP to begin with, but I do expect to receive decent service and warm food that comes out in a timely manner. After one bad service experience, chalk it up to a bad day. After a second bad service experience, perhaps a trend is developing? After a third bad service experience, there is obviously an issue with the management here. Unacceptable wait times between placing an order and receiving the food, inattentive wait staff, and cold food seem to be the norm. I've had enough of this place.

By far the worst service I have ever had in my entire life. We waited an hour for our food, our waitress never checked on us, people who were seated after us received their food before us. I was absolutely disgusted. The manager gave us only a 20% discount off of our food when it should have been free. Stay far away from this location!

I wasn't really expecting much based on the previous reviews. Thankfully, I was wrong. FACILITIES: Even on a Sunday after church there was plenty of parking in the lot and seating in the restaurant. The place was cleaner than I usually expect from IHOP. The men's bathroom was good but not spotless. SERVICE: The service was prompt and attentive. The waitress was friendly and offered several helpful suggestions for ordering my kids' meals. We never ran out of drink and didn't have to ask for anything; one exception being the kids wanted sausage instead of bacon and when she delivered the food, low & behold, there was bacon but no sausage. I pointed this out and she immediately returned to the kitchen with their food and quite promptly returned with sausage. I have no complaints about the service. It was what I wanted from IHOP. FOOD: timely, warm, tasty. It was fresh and didn't languish under a heat lamp. It was the quality I wanted from IHOP. Again, no complaints about the food. Good value for what we got; definitely not overpriced. Overall, I liked it and we'll definitely be back.

Well, when I saw two stars for an ihop, I really questioned the reviews. Sitting here now waiting for my food for what seems forever, I understand why it is rated two stars.

Decided to give this IHOP another chance, which was a mistake. After being seated by the hostess I sat at the table for10-minutes without ever being acknowledged. Servers walked by me 3 separate time and never said a word. Ended up leaving without ordering. Won't be back.

the absolute worse ihop ever!!!! stay away far away..... We waited for an hour still did not get our order right/complete. We came in after a VA Tech vs UVA game ended around 12:30 am on Friday...our waitress kept bringing fruit, hot chocolate and glasses of water..and repeated the phrase your "food is coming" she was really wired!!! If there is was a manager on shift they never cane to the table to aplogize for the terrible service and inconvenience When it was all said and done the waitress said "I saved YOU a lot of money by not charging YOU for drinks...WTF did she say that for??? My response....For the WAIT and TERRIBLE service this SH$T should be FREEE!!! At this point she scurried back to the kitchen and bought the manager out "THERE'S A MANAGER??WHERE THE HELL HAVE YOU BEEN ALL THIS TIME? The MGR then apologize to me and comp all the food. I told the manager she was not finished yet because there was at least four other big parties with the same experience as ours!!! #NOLOVEFORIHOP

At IHOP again. Friday morning, about 10:40. They are busy, which is a plus. Last time we were here there were only half a dozen tables sat. Waitress is friendly. Ordered drinks; mine came with something extra -lipstick stain on the rim. Yuck! Needless to say I got a fresh drink in a clean glass. Food has been ordered. Nervous is how I feel, considering the condition of my drink glass. Food arrived at 11:04. Biscuits & Gravy meal was ordered by myself & the Breakfast Sampler by my husband. Mine was all right. Gravy is apparently prepackaged -just add water, was bland & not hot temp wise. Biscuits were very thin & too dry. Sausage links were the star of the meal. Hashbrowns & eggs were tasty. Hubby's meal, he said, was satisfactory, his only complaint was his pancakes were cold by the time he got around to eating them. Other than a few bumps, the experience was all right.

Normally your average IHOP would get an average review. Three stars, tops. The food is average, as are the prices. What earned this particular IHOP an extra star, however, was the service we received this morning. I don't know if the folks eating with me would agree with this (she was a little slow with their coffee refill) but for me it really made my morning when I mentioned that I'm eating low carb and she pointed out that instead of having the regular Colorado omelette I could have it with fresh eggs: I had completely forgotten that their fluffy omelettes are fluffy because of the pancake batter they put into the mix! If it weren't for her I'd have gone over my carb limit for the day during breakfast and never even realized it! She also got me broccoli as a side instead of toast or fruit without giving me much of an odd look. She was super helpful and friendly. For now the local IHOP gets my four stars. It may not always and this could change next time I go but for now that one server made this better than just A-OK and I thought they deserved a good review among the myriad of bad ones on here.

Truthfully, the appearance of staff and management tells me all I need to know. Cover some tattoos and put employees with bad teeth out of sight and in the kitchen. I feel like I'm being served by addicts. Just, stay away.

It's IHOP clearly it's not a 5 star rated place. Let me begin with I have worked in restaurants as a server for the past 5 years. Usually people should check up on how the food is. Never checked up on us. My fruit bowl had a stain on it. It took the waitress till she asked if I wanted a box to ask for it. She did then notify the manager and took off our drinks but still.

Last time I went, we had a party of four. None of our orders came out correct and after having to send them back a few times we left. I don't know if it was the kitchen or our waitress but it was disappointmenting.

Came in at 7am on Sunday after the Bristol Night race. We were one of 3 customers. Service was adequate but friendliness not apparent. The thing that got me was the cleanliness. My coffee cup had a lipstick smudge on it. The coffee was cold and stale. Then to top it off my water had a fly in it. And I was honestly too afraid to point it out in fears that someone would spit in my food. Never ever again.

Used to love IHOP but the food really wasn't great the last time I went here. Maybe I've just become accustomed to better cuisine. I've kinda been spoiling myself with that Country Boy Breakfast at Cracker Barrel.
