Mexican Cuisine
If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.
Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.
Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.

This is by far the best Mexican food in middle Tennessee. The fajitas are magical. Whatever seasoning and oil they use keeps me coming back for more. Not to mention the salsa especial that you have to ask for by name along with some queso con jalapeño! If I could rate things separately I would give the service a 4. Although they are friendly and do pretty well there are moments where we wait for awhile to see our server again because they are so busy. We usually just have to stop someone and ask for what we need no matter who it is.

Love it, very fresh and plenty to eat. Good margarita's too! Great service. Busy, which means people like it. That's what I look for!
(5)Greg H.
First time eating here after being recommended by a friend! Had the shredded chicken tacos, beef enchilada & some guacamole. I'll be back!
(5)Neil G.
I wish I could give 6 stars because this place is fantastic. Lots of flavor, seemed authentic, very kid friendly...overall my experience was a great one and will be heading back again.

Viva Pueblo Real! Sure. Go ahead and stick to the normal combos and the food is a good step ahead than the normal fare (Las Palmas, Mazatlan, Cinco de Mayo). But where Pueblo Real really shines is their Pollo Verde. The chicken is grilled well and accented by a wonderful poblanos, cilantro, and cheese sauce. The dish garnished well with avocado, pico de gallo, and comes with rice and beans. It's the best dish. The Fajitas are ok, but still don't compare to the mastery of Casa Fiesta on Bell Road. Go with the Pollo Verde. You'll love it. The servers are all fun, sarcastic, and make for a great time. Don't forget to say "Hola" to Jesus. He's the fun manager. You'll never lack for chips, dips, and drinks...they hustle.

Ugh wish I could give no stars! Terrible food. My chicken was like the old processed chicken "breast" strips they use to serve at fast food joints in the 90's and my Marg was so bad I had to send it back and get wine. I truly feel sympathy for those of you that think this is good Mexican. I'd much rather make the 50 mile trek to Hendersonville to eat at Casa Vieja then ever return here!

We just moved here from AZ and I'll admit our expectations were low for Mexican food in TN. We arrived during the dinner rush so we had to wait a good 20-30 minutes. Once we were seated our server came right away. I wanted tacos but couldn't make the decision on exactly what to order so I told our server to "surprise me." He brought a ground beef with a hard corn shell and a grilled chicken with soft flour (tacos). They were both excellent! We will definitely go back and I'll have to have my same order before I move onto something else. :)
(5)Teresa L.
This is some of the best Mexican food I've had in a very long time. I had the vegetarian no. 7, which included a chili relleno, bean burrito, beans and rice. I could only eat about a quarter of my food, since the plate was overflowing with food. The chili relleno was awesome. The rice and beans were perfectly cooked. Service was good, up until it was time to get our check. It took way too long to find someone to bring our check..

If you aren't familiar with The Royal House, aka "Pueblo Real," you are behind the game. I might be too, considering I toon five years of Spanish and am only partially sure I got that previous translation right. My statement still stands; on a Thursday evening, this place is chaos, with some control. Packed with a 20-30 minute wait, just be ready to wait for a table in the evening. Parking is also a bit tricky in the busier hours. Very loud, vibrant, with standard backtracks of flamenco guitar fill the air. A couple standing by me already ordered margaritas while they wait for a table with their kids. I get the impression that, with this image combined with wait staff zooming by without hesitation or break of sweat, these guys are hustling well. It shows. We get our table and chips and drinks and orders are in within ten minutes. Impressive! Chips are nice and warm, salsa is perfect, and queso is good, though a bit too runny; man what a messy table! The menu proves daunting, with many choices and tons of descriptive subtext, but the icon "new" next to an entree makes the choice for me: the south west quesadilla. It has a chipotle tortilla, cilantro, grilled chicken, and the usual stuff in a quesadilla. It also comes with fries and "special sauce." Sure, whatever that means! The sauce isn't terribly special, and the fries are pretty standard. But this is a Mexican restaurant for goodness sakes, how was the dang quesadilla?! I didn't finish it. It was so big and greasy that I was filled 3/4 of the way. Not bad though! Kinda hard to eat because it was so messy, falling apart at every bite. But not bad! It's not a food style I particularly enjoy, but these guys do it well. Heck, I might tell the waiter it's my mom's birthday so they can come over with a dessert and sing some ridiculous song. ;)

Texas Chimichanga is delicious! The Texas chimichanga is a large chipotle tortilla with shredded chicken, pico de gallo, black beans, shredded cheese, and lettuce. It is served with lettuce, tomato, guacamole and tito sauce. I am always stuffed when I order this but it is so good I have to treat myself to it every now and then. We come here a lot for lunch. I have also had many of the lunch specials and and several menu entrees and have never been disappointed. I love the salsa they bring out with the chips. It is a lot different than other restaurant salsa. The staff is always very friendly and the food comes out quick. They must work very hard in that kitchen because I've never waited very long for my food. I haven't been for dinner yet so I haven't had the opportunity to sample their margarita. That definitely goes on my to do list.
(4)Jenn S.
Great food...chips and salsa good and fresh....margaritas excellent...service excellent love this place and in my opinion the best Mexican in Nashville
(5)Jenny P.
If I want Mexican, this is where I go. My husband hates Mexican food but loves pueblo. It's amazing. The food is so good. Anytime we have family or friends visiting from out of town, we take them here. It's loud, it's fun, and they're always busy. Every waiter we've ever had has been super attentive, and happy and always refills our chips up without even having to ask. (that's a plus in my book) Sometime's there's a wait, but it's well worth it. I always get their enchiladas. I've never had a bad experience here. Their salsa is fresh, and the tomato base doesn't taste like it's from a can like some Mexican restaurants. The chips always arrive to the table hot. And it's like 7-9 bucks a person. Love it!
(5)Angeline L.
Our family loves Pueblo Real! The guacamole is AWESOME!! It's a bit on the spicy side (FYI). I love anything chicken, our sons love the Colorado Burrito, my husband LOVES the fajitas, and cannot speak more highly of how tasty they are. He stated that the Colorado is just a bit too spicy for him. The only caveat we have ever run into was on our 16th wedding anniversary (this had nothing to do with Pueblo Real): A group of drinkers grew louder and louder. Eventually the silliness turned to yells of foul language. To which I had to yell over the din, "There are children over here!" They did immediately yelled back, "We're sorry!" I remember being single, being silly drunk, and acting like Charlie Sheen in public. It's all good. Just keep the language on the down low when you take yourself out in public! Thank you!

Upon first entering this establishment I was greeted by typical Mexican restaurant decor. The hosts was quick to say hello and seat myself and a friend at a table. It took our server quite some time to come by. During the 5 minutes of pondering I noticed how small the table was. There was barely enough room for myself and my dining companion to sit across from one another. While having drinks delivered we also received our chips, salsa and queso. Salsa was bland - not enough cilantro. Queso was blah as well. I ordered an al a carte burrito. I can not eat a lot so I prefer to stick with the option. It was nasty. Red sauce on top tasted like thick salt water and the chicken inside was tough. Maybe some of their main entrees are better. But I will likely not return to find out.

Friday late afternoon, wife calls and asks what I want for dinner in Franklin. "Not sure," I say, "but I need something comfortable and filling. I'm not in the mood for plastic chairs and bright lights." She thinks for a minute and says, "We'll meet you at Pueblo Real." "Perfect," I say. That's my 4 star review of Pueblo Real.
(4)Neil G.
I wish I could give 6 stars because this place is fantastic. Lots of flavor, seemed authentic, very kid friendly...overall my experience was a great one and will be heading back again.
(5)Ginny L.
How anyone could NOT give this place 5 stars is beyond me. This is the best mexican in all of Nashville. The staff couldn't be any friendlier and the food is legit. CHORI-FREAKING-QUESO. Also, their fajitas are insanely good. I'm not sure exactly what makes them taste so amazing but they are by far the best fajitas I've ever had anywhere.
(5)Craig L.
Still got great food but do not expect your order to be correct. We've been going to Pueblo for ten years since they opened. Every order eating in or to go has to be sent back because it's wrong or missing something. Pueblo has outpaced their capacity!!!
(2)Nicole E.
Went here with my boyfriend while on a time constraint due to an appointment up in Nashville. Despite this, we made it on time thanks to the quick and friendly service. Food was wonderful.
(4)Kasi Z.
This is my favorite Mexican food restaurant in the area. Whenever we are craving delicious fajitas we always go there. The portions are very large, perfect to split between two people and still have some leftovers. Tuesdays are a good day to go because you get half price margaritas which are pretty tasty! Best value for the price by far.
(5)Anna H.
This is my favorite Mexican restaurant by far. The staff is always welcoming, attentive, quick, and they genuinely care about providing great service. Now the food, it is always quick and delicious, one of my favorite items being the Pollo Verde. It's a generous piece of tender chicken thats been cooked in a house made verde sauce, poblano peppers and onions, topped with queso and then surrounded by sliced avocado. Freakin yum! They serve it with warm tortillas, rice and beans which are all scrumptious. I have had many other menu items over the past few years and I can honestly say that I have never left feeling disappointed or hungry. Pueblo Real is the standard by which I compare other Mexican restaurants too, and it usually wins.
(5)Liz J.
BEST Mexican in Franklin! Worth the wait! Try the enchiladas suizas!
(5)Josh W.
Took the advice of locals on here and tried Pueblo Real.. I'm from out of town, so it took me a bit to find it but glad I did! Ordered the Pollo Verde, it was excellent! Salsa was pretty good, not very spicy so those with a low tolerance should be fine.. House margaritas were the drink special and they were better than most. Staff was very friendly, especially Allan at the bar! I travel quite a bit for work, and this is one of the best Mexican spots I've visited! Was packed on a Tuesday night!
(5)Natalie C.
Great service! Our waitress was very friendly. The food was authentic. Very good variety of food and drinks to choose from. Better than your average mexican restaurant. Would defiantly go back. Try this place out! You won't regret it.
(5)Stephen C.
First timers. Love the atmosphere and food. Would definitely make this place a regular on the list.
(5)jason b.
Fantastic! It is usually packed, so be prepared to wait. Every dish I've ordered has been some of the best Mexican food I've had. Best Mexican in Franklin hands down!
(5)David S.
Best Mexican food in Franklin. Been here no less than 50 times. Very reasonable prices on food and drinks.
(5)Tim G.
One of the best Mexican restaurants in Franklin. Excellent food and great service.
(5)Steven W.
Our family's favorite Mexican hands down. Family owned always packed and there is always someone we know waiting also. Spinach enchiladas are good and the blackberry margarita is a winner. My only issue is that there is not more outdoor seating.
(5)Melissa L.
I had gotten food to go from here a long time ago and I didn't remember it being anything special but everyone kept raving about it and several friends that know their food said that this was their favorite Mexican place. We tried several times to get in and it always had long lines and waits which we passed on. However last night we got there fairly early and the wait was only 10 minutes so we decided to wait. It was 10 minutes or less when our pager went off and we were escorted to a table back near the bar. I don't know when I have seen a place that had the tables crammed in as much as Pueblo Real. I even noticed as we left they had pulled a table from somewhere and put it against the low wall where our table was - I had wondered how that one spot had been left unoccupied. The food was nothing special. No better than almost every other local Mexican joint. The place was noisy, crowded and bustling. I will say that despite the crowd, the service was probably a little better than some. The servings were pretty generous and prices about the same as other places. It was an okay experience but I see no need to drive down to Franklin for it nor put up with the wait or the noise level.
(3)Lynne M.
The best Mexican restaurant in Franklin by far. I have been coming here for many years and will continue doing so. It's usually loud and there's usually a wait, but it's so worth it. The pollo verde and enchiladas suizas are my favorite dishes. Their salsa is just amazing. My husband and I usually go through at least a bowl or 3 of it. The staff is always pleasant; though, if they are super busy, they might not be as attentive as you wish they would be. Coming here with a large group can be tricky as the hosts just push some tables together, usually making the seats very crowded for the guests. Trivia night is so much fun, but make sure to arrive about 30 minutes early to get a table. All in all, this is one of my favorite restaurants in Franklin.
(5)Kinah Lynn W.
Ok first off let me say that I have eaten at this place maybe 4 or 5 times and always get a lunch order to go. I remember ordering my usual fav Mexican dish a chicken chimichanga. It was ok... Definitely had better before. Then I ordered the chicken enchiladas which were a lot better. But the last two times the chips were stale and the food was bland. Staff was always friendly and my order was always ready in less than 10 min. I work in Franklin and I love Mexican but I will continue my search for a good Mexican place in the area. Btw if you are up for the drive Casa Fiesta on Bell Road remains my fav in Nashville/Antioch area if you like your Mexican full of flavor and spice! P.S. Found piece of hair in my food the last time I was at Pueblo... Didn't bother to call and let them know because Needless to say I will NOT be back!
(1)Justin M.
This place is a local staple. We always see some one we know and the staff treats us and anyone we bring in like their family. They have all of the standards but step out of your comfort zone and be surprised by ordering anything off the menu. Carnitas are the jam!
(5)Michele W.
Authentic Mexican food for a reasonable price. I LOVE their mango water! I have been here many times, and today's dish was the seafood enchiladas. They were sweet, creamy, and delicious! I haven't had a bad meal here. However, I do, on occasion, encounter a server who isn't very attentive. I'm not sure if it's their general nature or because I'm frequently a solo diner. I wish servers in general would not treat solo diners differently. As a former server myself, I've been known to tip above the price of my bill for exceptional service. If you're in Franklin or surrounding areas, give this place a try! It's definitely busy on Friday and Saturday nights, though.
(5)Nathan L.
My family's favorite / regular Mexican restaurant. Nothing fancy here. It's all about the food and the friendly service. Sure it can be loud. It's a family restaurant, they pack 'em in and everyone is typically in a mood to have a good time!
(5)Josh H.
Located in an older strip mall on West Main, Pueblo Real is nondescript and easy to miss, but you can't judge this book by its cover. Having been here many times, I can attest to its overall quality and dependability. In terms of food, they offer all of the usual suspects, but their preparation, seasoning, and sauces are a cut above most other places in the Nashville area. The house tomato salsa is above average, and they have a few off-the-menu salsas that you can ask for, of which, my favorite is their fiery habanero. Holy cow, this stuff is good, and highly addictive to the heat-seeking palate. Their red and green burrito sauces are also notably better than any I've had in town. A few menu items really stand out. My absolute favorite is their chile Colorado, probably my favorite Mexican entree in town. The beef tips are served in the most delicious spicy, tomatillo sauce. It's rich, smoky, savory, spicy, and tangy all at once. I would pay big bucks for the recipe. Another favorite of mine is their large Texas chimichanga, which I recommend with steak instead of the chicken listed on the menu. Speaking of Texas, my girlfriend hails from the Lone Star State, and for what it's worth, she considers Pueblo Real the most legit Mexican restaurant in the area. Her favorite dish is the enchiladas Suizas. Prices are generally on par with other Mexican restaurants, if not a tad cheaper, but food quality and portion size make Pueblo Real a better value and more desirable destination in my book. Oh, and their lunch menu prices are outstanding. The employees here are super friendly, including owners Jesus and José. The atmosphere is fun, and the noise level can be on the loud side during busier shifts, including 1/2 off margaritas night (Tuesday), trivia night (Wednesday), and weekends. The custom Pueblo Real seats and booths are visually a little much, and they really cram in as many seats as possible, at the slight expense of the customer's comfort. Minor criticisms aside, Pueblo Real is a reliable winner in my book. If you're in the Franklin area, try immediately. If you're in Nashville, seriously consider making the trip out here.
(4)Adam S.
Best Mexican place around. I read previous reviews and after one visit we became the regulars it seems. My wife and I split the Pollo Verde 99% of the time but I also like the steak and beef tacos.
(5)Alex K.
Good mexican food at a great price. The portions are huge. My fiancée and I come here regularly and split the fajitas. We each have three or four fajitas and still have enough left over to take some home. Tuesday's are half off margaritas!
(5)David A.
Best Mexican in Franklin if not the metro area. Food is always hot, fresh, authentic, and tasty. Jose and Jesus, the owners, are awesome and really know how to engage their customers. This place is located in a small strip mall in the West Main area of Franklin. Don't judge it from the outside, stop and and have a bite; you won't regret it. And after dinner, grab some ice cream around the corner at Paletos Tuscumba.
(5)Janice S.
This place is AWESOME. The service and food you get is great. Always so crowded you may want to call ahead. Just got to try.
(5)Tony C.
Great atmosphere - always make is feel welcome...and remember us from prior visits. Great place with the kids. Tries the chicken fajitas for he first time the other day - had enough good for the family to enjoy dinner the next night! Good value.

WAIT TIME - ALWAYS if youre prepared & expect it it enhances the experience, maybe eat some peanuts before coming on a friday/saturday evening :) WAIT TIME PAGERS!! they do not vibrate, so over all the noise you need to listen to yours closely or watch it (or both) MARGARITA on the rocks, bayybeee! unfortunately we went with the well/house/bottom shelf liquor and about 20mins after we left both our heads were pounding! QUESO DIP this is amazing, i actually even liked it more than the fajitas but thats just me :) leftover cheese dip can be taken home in styrofoam cup, SO GOOD the next day!! FAJITAS!! my husband and i shared one entree & it was definitely filling! these were yummy -- nothing too crazy to write home about... note: does NOT come with shredded cheese?!? CHIPS & SALSA these were really good!!! COMING BACK you ask? YES!!!
(4)Richard S.
Really more 4 and a half than 4, but Yelp hates halfs unless they give them. The salsa is some of the best I have had in the state and all the standard fare is as fresh as one rarely expects at family run Mexican joints. No shortcuts in ingredients at all...anywhere. Our local go to Mexican.
(4)Elliott W.
PR has all of the standard straight out of the Sysco can mexican food on the menu -- if that's your thing. They also have a few nice surprises. Among our friends, PR is the go-to Mexy place in town. We probably don't visit that we don't see someone we know. The kids like PR too, especially on trivia nights. Back to the surprises... The queso is good -- real cheese. Not some whipped oil or something. There's actual dairy in that cheeze. The Chori-Pollo is a favorite. Grilled chicken covered in Chorizo and onions. You'll thank me for that one. But you may be sleeping on the couch. Good desert specials and drinks. The friendly staff know the regulars by name and do a little something special on birthdays. Check em out.
(4)Payge W.
WOW! This place is amazing!! It's in a rough area, but the food is superb. There was a long wait when my friend and I went on a Saturday. But we didn't mind, we had time to waste. When we finally were seated we knew the wait had been well worth it! The menu looked great, everything sounded so yummy-and greatly priced too. We started to dig in to the complementary chips and salsa, and couldn't stop ourselves! When we finally ordered he got the Colorado burrito and I ordered the burritos deluxe. We were surprised at the amount of food when we got our plates. His burrito was STUFFED full of steak and I could hardly finish half of my plate. We will definitely be going there again if we go back to Tennessee. Job well done!
(5)Jonathan M.
Best Mexican food in town. Nicest staff. Jesus, apparently the manager, greeted me like he has always known me, within 3 minutes of my first visit. Dishes were a bit pricier than typical Mexican food ($7-9) but the flavor was incredible. Chips and salsa are incredible. Red Sauce was so tasty. Will go back again and again.
(5)Nancy P.
The food is fabulous. The house margaritas are really good. the beer is cold. the salsa is so good. The prices are right. The staff is fun and flirty with the ladies. I wish I could move it closer to my home.
(4)Franklin D.
Ok prices on the lunch menu... but I went with the "taquitos" (2 x beef and 2 x chicken). It doesn't come with much else (tiny bit of guac, cream, & lettuce) but I was pretty full after two diet cokes and two things of chips while we waited to order. Tried the rice & beans from someone else's dish.... not bad! Looks like this would be a fun place to hang out on "trivia night" =]
(3)Denise W.
Real authentic mexican food! Very tasty, like CA or TX. Great service, portions are large, very reasonably priced. Next time will try the margaritas! Ole to Pueblo Real! mergerplace.com 1000moneymakingideas.com

OK... this was about the worst "Mexican" food I have ever had... next time you want BAD Mexican food try Taco Bell. The place was extreemly loud and they were having some sort of trivia game throughout the entire restaurant. Much more like a loud BAR than a civilized restaurant. The salsa was bland and their special (requested) 'hot" salsa was simply OK. The salad was served with a pre-packaged dressing in a pouch (what you'd expect from fast-food). Ingredients were appalling including GMOs (they don't even know what this is in TN)... including high-fructose corn syrup... I asked for something natural & they didn't know what to do except not charge for the uneaten salad. The taco, enchilada, & chilie relleno were really awefull. Really, this is BAD... but if you like taco bell or Las Palmas in TN... then this might be the place for you.
(1)Mack H.
The service is always good, prices are reasonable, drinks are cold, and love the Chili Relleno's..
(4)Dallas C.
Our family's favorite Mexican restaurant. It's crowded but the food is solid for the money.
(4)Karen D.
This place is always packed and for good reason. #1 the margaritas are GREAT and one night a week they're buy one get one free. They do NOT skimp on the alcohol. #2 the owner is always on the floor, very attentive and good natured... always making sure everyone is happy #3 The food is very good too and decently priced. We suggest the Pollo Verde with poblano peppers...it's a big plate and we often split it and it's plenty for two...chicken breasts with a great cheese sause...verde sauce and pico de gallo, avocados AND a huge order of beans and rice on a side plate. We ordered the enchiladas once and didn't care for the red sauce...tooo tomato tasting and not really a chile flavor or a regular enchilada sause. All in all a great place to eat and hang out - very comfortable - very friendly and tasty.

Great Mexican restaurant. Best chicken fajitas and chips and salsa
(5)Lauren A.
PR is one of Franklins gems. Once you have been there a couple times the staff knows you. Great food. Amazing salsa!
(5)Shelly S.
Best Mexican in Williamson co. Period. Staff is always wonderful and if you've ever been, you know Jesus the manager makes you feel right at home.
(5)Sarah B.
We have two favorite Mexican restaurants in Franklin, and this is one of them. Amazing fajita nachos, excellent cheese dip, and haven't had anything there we didn't love. It's always packed, and the tables are shallow so it's not the most comfortable place - but the food is worth it. If you can get there just before 6 pm on Friday night, you'll be seated and enjoying a margarita watching the crowds come in and have to wait in the tiny waiting area or outside.
(4)D C.
By far best Mexican around. The owner Jesus knows how to treat his customers to keep my wife and I coming back! Great priced margaritas, free chips and salsa and great food... This is always my go to place
(5)David P.
We've been in Franklin 10+ years and this is our favorite spot for "Mexican" (La Terrazza is a close second). This place is always packed. The owners/managers are always super friendly (note: I appreciate the gesture, but I don't care to shake your hand right before dining). My favorites are the Pollo Verde and the Pollo Santa Fe. Skip the standard salsa and ask for the tomatillo sauce for chip dipping - YUM!
(5)Alex S.
Not authentic Mexican. It's rehashed Mexican cuisine for the corn syrup clogged Americano's. I ordered Enchilada Suisa, guess what came on it? About a quarter of a can of diced canned pineapple, it was horrifying. I'll admit that I should have read the menu closer, but WTF! Who expects something that ridiculous on Enchilada's? YUCK YUCK YUCK.
(2)Sari H.
Cute and cozy. Pretty tasty food and friendly staff. Salsa was not my style -- thick but sweet and not enough cilantro or spice. We saw Mike from American Pickers there. Not much else to say on this one!
(3)Vanessa P.
Best cheap Mexican combo platter in the Nashville area. Fast, attentive service. Even with long lines, they manage to seat us quickly. Strong, cheap drinks. Lively atmosphere. Winner winner Mexican dinner.
(4)rob h.
Ellie likes their "pop's".
(4)Carrie W.
This is my favorite Mexican restaurant in the Nashville area. Located on West Main in the same strip as Lone Wolf Tattoo. You can easily eat for less than $10 (including tip), or you can order entrees and apps and desserts and margaritas, and of course, the price goes up. Pros: the FRIENDLIEST service ever. Great family feel. cheap Dos Equis Draft beers ($1.75) with bottle beer specials on Mon. and 2/1 margaritas on Tues. and now 2 for 1 draft on Thursdays! great appetizers interesting daily specials great salsas My faves - asada tacos that come with fresh cilantro, onion, and lime wedges, and a delicious and spicy tomatillo salsa Chile relleno Spinach enchiladas (fresh spinach) Pollo Verde - which my sister gets every time Cons- some of the food can be a bit greasy outdoor tables are on the sidewalk and feel a bit crowded Tips - Check the a la carte menu for great deals and interesting choices (most of the items I listed are from that section) Wednesday night is Trivia night. Plan on getting out of there before 7, unless you want to play (or sit outside). It gets RIDICULOUSLY loud, crowded and kid-filled - but can be fun if you are ready for it. You've been to La Ha, you've been to Pancho's... now please try Pueblo Real.
(5)Monica N.
This is our favorite Mexican restaurant. We enjoy the waiters, who are always friendly, even when they are busy. We try to go early before it gets too crowded. The restaurant space is small. The food is good and reasonably priced and we like the staff. Great for us!
(5)moore t.
The best authentic mexican in the franklin area. service is excellent and salsa is fantastic! i like the fact that you can order broccoli as a side dish. I usually order a cheese quesodia, broccoli and rice. many friends say their chili releno is the best in town. they also have a smashing margherita!
(4)Kimm H.
My husband and I love this place! If we ever want Mexican, I won't let him take me anyplace else. This is the ONLY pick for me. The food is delicious, the service is very fast and efficient, everyone is friendly, and the price can't be beat. I absolutely love seeing how busy they always are because it makes me happy that a local business is thriving the way they are. Just goes to show what all of the above qualities can do for your business. My favorite entree is the Vallarta Especial (a fajita burrito).
(5)Jennifer J.
Love! Great food, superior service. And they have real guacamole, not the guacamole sauce the other places have!! Yum, yum, yum.
(4)Jon P.
if you have ever been to Mexico and had shrimp ceviche, this is your place! I sometimes go twice a week just for this dish. The salsa is the best ever! Love tis place.
(4)John D.
After living in Franklin for over 12 years we were glad to find this gem. Certainly not Rose Peppers but we will never hit La Ha.. again w/ this available. Great service, friendly staff & I was served a fresh jalapeño, a good indication in my books.
(3)Caity S.
This is the place to go if you want traditional Mexican. Lunch specials are great, cheap, and fast. Their chicken is so delicious. I quit going to all the other traditional Mexican restaurants in Franklin once I found Pueblo. They have the friendliest wait staff there. If you have never been here, you should give it a try. It's crowded at night - so go earlier.
(5)Angela U.
This is a really great little restaurant. A neat place to visit with friends, no rush to finish your meal. The Two Tacos, One Enchilada & Chile Con Queso were awesome. Three people tried the the Chile Con Queso, and it was Hot!!! Bread pudding for dessert, a little too much chocolate, maybe they should serve the chocolate on the side.
(4)Brandon L.
Great food! Love this place!
(4)Otis R.
Best mexican food in nashville area. More mexican than Tex-Mex. Always crowded. Favorites are anything with chicken. They have a special spice that makes all of their chicken dishes awesome. My kids love the queso con chorizo. Had the Pollo Verde last night and it was the best mexican dish I have ever had. Love this place!
(5)Craig A.
Best Mexican food in Franklin!!!
(5)Christina E.
(4)Stephen P.
Heck, I might tell the waiter it's my mom's birthday so they can come over with a dessert and sing some ridiculous song. ;)
Love it!
(5)Jen L.
(4)Greg H.
First time eating here after being recommended by a friend! Had the shredded chicken tacos, beef enchilada & some guacamole. I'll be back!
(5)justine h.
(1)Josh H.
(5)Terri H.
(5)Daniel B.
(4)Stephen W.
(5)Dara P.
Love it, very fresh and plenty to eat. Good margarita's too! Great service. Busy, which means people like it. That's what I look for!
(5)Nicole E.
(5)Craig L.
Still got great food but do not expect your order to be correct. We've been going to Pueblo for ten years since they opened. Every order eating in or to go has to be sent back because it's wrong or missing something. Pueblo has outpaced their capacity!!!
(2)David A.
(5)David S.
Best Mexican food in Franklin. Been here no less than 50 times. Very reasonable prices on food and drinks.
(5)Tim G.
One of the best Mexican restaurants in Franklin. Excellent food and great service.
(5)jason b.
Fantastic! It is usually packed, so be prepared to wait. Every dish I've ordered has been some of the best Mexican food I've had. Best Mexican in Franklin hands down!
(5)Steven W.
Our family's favorite Mexican hands down. Family owned always packed and there is always someone we know waiting also. Spinach enchiladas are good and the blackberry margarita is a winner. My only issue is that there is not more outdoor seating.
(5)Tony C.
Great atmosphere - always make is feel welcome...and remember us from prior visits. Great place with the kids. Tries the chicken fajitas for he first time the other day - had enough good for the family to enjoy dinner the next night! Good value.
(4)Kinah Lynn W.
(1)Nathan L.
My family's favorite / regular Mexican restaurant. Nothing fancy here. It's all about the food and the friendly service. Sure it can be loud. It's a family restaurant, they pack 'em in and everyone is typically in a mood to have a good time!
(5)Elliott W.
(5)Justin M.
This place is a local staple. We always see some one we know and the staff treats us and anyone we bring in like their family. They have all of the standards but step out of your comfort zone and be surprised by ordering anything off the menu. Carnitas are the jam!
(5)Leif S.
Great Mexican restaurant. Best chicken fajitas and chips and salsa
(5)Nancy P.
The food is fabulous. The house margaritas are really good. the beer is cold. the salsa is so good. The prices are right. The staff is fun and flirty with the ladies. I wish I could move it closer to my home.
(4)Mack H.
The service is always good, prices are reasonable, drinks are cold, and love the Chili Relleno's..
(4)Dallas C.
Our family's favorite Mexican restaurant. It's crowded but the food is solid for the money.
(4)Lauren A.

(1)Karen D.

This is my favorite Mexican restaurant in the Nashville area. Located on West Main in the same strip as Lone Wolf Tattoo.

Love! Great food, superior service. And they have real guacamole, not the guacamole sauce the other places have!! Yum, yum, yum.

if you have ever been to Mexico and had shrimp ceviche, this is your place! I sometimes go twice a week just for this dish. The salsa is the best ever! Love tis place.

After living in Franklin for over 12 years we were glad to find this gem. Certainly not Rose Peppers but we will never hit La Ha.. again w/ this available. Great service, friendly staff & I was served a fresh jalapeño, a good indication in my books.
