Very slow. Told 20 min wait. 40 min later still no table and told 2 more in front of me. UNACCEPTABLE. I would not have stayed if I had known this up front. Manager didn't seem to care. Well your food is not worth a 40 min wait, 20 yes, 40 no. I would have gone somewhere else had they been up front. Were doing this to everyone.

Good food but get there before church is out, otherwise your 20 min. Wait is more 45. Great coffee tho.

Not the place to go if you are looking for standard breakfast fare...lots of interesting items on the menu. I had pancakes that were good. Hubby had an egg breakfast plate of some sort, I don't remember the exact items on his combo. The service the day we were there was not great, but I did point it out to the manager and she was receptive to my comments. I think this would be a fun place to go for a Girls Day out or brunch with friends. Probably wouldn't take out of town visitors there for breakfast, but we may try it for lunch someday.

Last week before driving north for a day hike, my son and I stopped by First Watch for breakfast. We didn't quite know what to expect, but we're certainly glad we stopped there for breakfast. The business is fairly new to this area, but every time I drive by, there seems to be a fair share of cars congregated around the end of the strip mall it anchors. We were greeted and seated immediately. The interior is open, bright and clean. The tables are hardwood and each customer who orders coffee, gets their own pot on the table. The menu is fairly extensive and is FILLED with healthy choices. Lots of fresh fruits and vegetables and nowhere did I see or find anything deep fat fried. (Kind of unusual for East Tennessee ;-)). The menu was so fresh and healthy that it reminded me of many a restaurant in the San Francisco Bay area from whence I hail. I had the Acapulco Express™, made with chorizo sausage, avocado, green chilies, and house-roasted onions with Cheddar and Monterey Jack. Topped with sour cream and served with a side of housemade salsa. I had fresh squeezed orange juice which was so very tasty. My son had the Chickichanga®, made with whipped eggs with spicy all-natural white-meat chicken, chorizo sausage, green chilies, Cheddar and Monterey Jack, onions and avocado rolled in a flour tortilla. Topped with Vera Cruz sauce and sour cream. Served with fresh fruit and fresh, season potatoes. The plates are not excessively huge, but definitely enough to satisfy the palate. They are open every day from 7:00 am to 2:30 pm, serving breakfast, brunch and lunch. They also have an intimate outdoor patio seating area that looks very inviting, weather permitting.

These folks have it going on. What a great way to eat a little healthier. They have several of these locations throughout the U.S. And I make them my first choice for breakfast. These folks are trained well and consistently deliver great service. The ingredients are fresh and portions are plentiful. You won't be disappointed.

First time here! The place is very nice and has a cafeteria fast dinning look to it. They have a very nice patio that I will be trying out next! The menu has good lower calorie heathy choices. I had coffee which was nice and fresh, egg white omelet with spinach, feta and turkey, tasty. One multi grain pancake with blue berries, the blue berries I did not like they whew too saggy , but the pancake itself was nice tasting. Then I had a kale Juice with other fruits, I think it was 3.99 which seem like a good prices but when it arrived it was about a 10oz glass filled with iced so not much juice. The juice was good. My brother had a turkey sandwich and a chocolate chip multi grain pancakes and that was much better. Overall the services was fast and friendly, nothing special but effective.

My mom was a big fan of a First Watch location in St. Louis, so visiting a local one was a must. We visited on a Sunday, at about 11:30am. There was a 10-15 minute wait to get in the door, and unfortunately due to all of the busyness there was also a very long wait for our food to arrive. (Over 20 minutes between placing an order and receiving our food) But, when it did finally arrive, the dishes we ordered were tasty and cooked to perfection. I ordered their Breakfast Tacos, which were perfectly seasoned and absolutely scrumptious; my mother ordered one of their omelets and was equally impressed. A lot of omelets in restaurants are dry or overcooked, but this one was really great. The fruit cup she ordered was minuscule, though, and for $4 felt like a bit of a ripoff. I wasn't as impressed with their freshly juiced Pineapple Cooler--to me, it was a little too much orange juice and I couldn't taste the other juices very well. (However, I think this is due to personal taste and not due to quality.) I was also disappointed that the Cooler arrived after my food did, and not before. We also ordered a pot of their coffee, and it was *excellent*. Smooth and not bitter at all, even though it was a dark roast. They also had a very nice selection of creamers and even organic sugar available for sweetener. Someone on here also said their water tastes foul? I don't know what was up with that review but their water is fine. It tastes like water, and they give you your own bottle so you pretty much never run out, which is fantastic in my opinion. Overall, I recommend this location and I will be going back soon!

My wife and I stumbled upon this place. It is super clean, the staff are all super nice and the food is amazing. We will be coming back here. It's a kid friendly place as well. The server was very thoughtful in bringing out our children's food before ours so we could get theirs cut up and cooled. If you're looking for breakfast. Come here. I cannot speak for lunch or dinner but I'm sure it's just as good and we cannot wait to try.

I recently went for the first time for lunch. The service was great and the food tasted even better. I had the pesto Quinoa salad and was very impressed. I don't typically eat Quinoa, but decided to try it out. Would highly recommend going and sitting outside if the weather allows.......
(5)Sarah C.
Quinoa bowls are extra good. Heard first watch was like a health IHOP. Agreed! Yummy brunch food that's good for you.
(5)Grace B.
I love this place!!! I've had the hash bowls, the omeletts, the granola and fruit, the yogurts, and for lunch- the chicken quinoa pesto bowl and the 1/2 salad 1/2 sandwich combo! (Working my way through the menu haha) I've got to say, my favorite dish is the Acapulco Express. Great selection of food with healthy options and very nice servers :) definitely love catching up with my friends here after morning runs or brunch-y meetings.

First Watch is an aptly named cafe that serves breakfast and lunch only. Normally, this is a mistake for the Knoxville market, but they seem to have nailed it so well that it's working out for them. As I walked in, my first impression is that the place has a welcoming warmth that immediately put me in a good mood for a delicious breakfast. The atmosphere is open and friendly and the staff is cheerful and attentive without being invasive. The decor is what I would call "modern country kitchen". The menu has many choices ranging from eggs (many ways), pancakes, Belgium waffles, and several sandwich choices. For the first-timer, the menu has highlighted best-sellers to guide you to "national favorites". I opted for the Bacado omelette and boy, that was a good choice! The presentation was neat with the plate filled edge to edge. The omelette was PERFECTLY prepared and fully and properly stuffed from edge to edge with avocado, bacon, jack cheese, and served with a side of their homemade salsa which was fresh and mild; a perfect accouterment. The muffin was nicely toasted and the potatoes were tasty and well cooked, but I like them a little crispier, so if that's your thing, you may want to ask for them to cook them a little more. They also included a bit of strawberry jam (my favorite). The meal was delicious and filling, in fact, I couldn't finish. So you can expect to be satisfied if you have a good appetite. One of the stars of the meal was the coffee. It's a dark roast but doesn't taste burnt at all. It's definitely going to get you going. They have half and half, French vanilla, and hazelnut on the tables along with raw sugar. The food deserved nearly 5 stars but I still held back a star because I don't like the only open for breakfast business model. Breakfast for dinner is a thing in Knoxville and they would do well to capitalize on that and provide their delicious food to the night crowd. As it stands now though, I will definitely be back, with my family, and can recommend this place to anyone that wants a quality meal at a similar price to the national chain breakfast places.

I have to say I was a little disappointed with this place. It wasn't terrible by any means but there was reason to love it either. I will say the server was great and even though she was a little overwhelmed she still managed to be very friendly. I tried several types of the eggs benedict and was just left underwhelmed. The eggs were overcooked and the hollandaise sauce was very bland. I think if I go back I would get the French toast or pumpkin pancakes. Both of which looked way better than what I had. The atmosphere was pleasant and if I was already in Turkey creek Hell I might stop again.

Upon walking in, we were greeted in a very professional manner by a real nice gentleman..we was seated right away and the waitress was right there as we were seated... We was very impressed with the outside patio options and the establishments decor, really nice soothing music, perfect level, not to low or to loud. Their water comes to the table in a carafe glass bottle, their water has a foul taste to it.. Looking over the menu, they have lots of healthy and yummy options...I ordered the eggs benedict/ham hold the tomato...comes with seasoned potatoes and fresh fruit... This is our first time visiting a "First Watch" the eggs came to me very lightly cooked. I like my eggs done medium not over very easy.. They took it back..to remake it. Next time I will specify that the eggs to please be more on the medium side. They Looked delicious ...Came out rather quickly!! But again very soft eggs, very very undercooked runny eggs. If you dont like very runny eggs, specify. The potatoes came back to me burnt when they brought out my "new" order of eggs benedict which the eggs were alittle better.. The potatoes on round 2 were good. The fruit was the best part of this meal..very fresh and tasted really good. I think I'll try the pancakes when I come back. Im alittle disappointed in such high ratings and get undercooked eggs and burnt potatoes. I noticed a sign up front as we were leaving saying they needed cooks and servers. I think I know why. The server was awesome. She did a great job. So, to be fair...I gave 3 stars for service, the attempt to get it right the second time and the fruit. Will update this review when we decide to come back to this establishment. I will give them another chance.

Love First Watch and this franchise is no exception. Fast service, good food. Really love the omelets and they are gluten free! Hubby gets the gigantic pancakes. He can get them custom made with nuts and dried cranberries. Be forewarned, they are really HUGE. Always very busy on weekends and lesser holidays, so get there early to avoid a wait. But really, it's worth the wait.

Our family has been to FirstWatch several times and consistently find it to be a great experience. The "old standard" breakfast items like eggs, bacon, and pancakes are great - but the seasonal specials are where this restaurant really shines. The pumpkin pancakes are scrumptious. The "Resolution Hash" currently on the menu is made of diced potatoes, cremini mushrooms, etc. covered with a sunny side up egg - but this dish goes from good to great with the addition of goat cheese and chopped herbs. We consistently find the waitstaff to be friendly, courteous, and quick. The servers go out of their way to treat our children well (they're 7 and 10). Free wifi and newspapers are available. DH's favorite perk is the pitcher of water left on the table while we eat - no waiting for a refill.

we were a party of 4, seated in 10 mins. staff was lovely. we ordered 3 hashes and one creppe-omelet thing. everything was well cooked, tasty, and exactly as described on the menu. we split the bill, and it came out to 33.00 per couple including a 20% tip. great breakfast food.
(4)Scott P.
The menu was quite diverse and the food was excellent. Service was excellent and timely. I would recommend this place to others.

Our first visit was this morning during the after church crowd. Everything was perfectly prepared and delicious , ordered and served by a very friendly and helpful waitress. Not a bad wait either. My very picky husband even said "we'll be back".
(5)Sarah M.
Service was horrible. Elizabeth waited on our table and was rude to us and our children. She didn't greet our table for over 10 minutes after sitting down, and the wanted to take all of the creamers/jelly packets off our table so our kids wouldn't touch them. She made us feel unwelcome and like she didn't want to wait on us. If you want good service, then I recommend you not allowing Elizabeth to wait on you. Also, if you have kids, definitely don't let Elizabeth wait on your table.
(1)Theresa C.
That's actually good to know. We had stopped going after the first few visits but sounds like you are taking steps towards where I would like to eat. I want healthier than most I realize. ;)

I was invited to meet another realtor for lunch in Turkey Creek and she suggested this place. I always thought it was a security firm or a place for bird watchers to buy things - but it's a restaurant! One I hadn't tried, so that always gets me going. You walk in and everything is neat and very clean. Each table has two coffee mugs just waiting for you and a basket of assorted flavored creamers! I'm pretty much a coffee addict, so I was already excited!!! Service was slow. Coffee was hot and really good!!! Once the server showed up, I asked her what her favorite thing on the menu and I ordered that. A bacon crumbled, Avacado filled, egg omlet. It came quickly, and filled the whole plate!!! It was thick and perfectly cooked, came with salsa and a sliced English muffin. My colleague ordered the French toast. I ate a slice of that myself. Fluffy. Yummy. The blackberry syrup was a little bitter and her bacon was undercooked, but all in all a very good meal. I'll be going back!

Can you give a place a zero? This place deserves new management. The is the third try (this time reluctantly) only not to be surprised, again. The first two times I order oatmeal. How hard is that? Both time cold when served, English muffin cold not toasted and the waitress seemed to not care, either. This time their Hash with Soft poached eggs. Eggs hard as a rock, toast not toasted and cold plus the replacement eggs nearly as bad. Also we were charged for coffee we never order; the second time this has happened. My rating is ZERO but Yelp does not have that option.

Great food! Fresh healthy menu that has a full range of items. I'm a picky eater and even my "OCD" wife couldn't find anything wrong here!! It's clean, casual, classy and everyone here is smiling!!
(5)Bryson M.
The prices are reasonable, service was good and the food was absolutely delicious. I suggest the sourdough French toast with kiwi and bananas.
(5)Toni F.
I absolutely love this place and wish they had one closer to my home. I've been to a First Watch in Wisconsin and had a great experience so when I saw on yelp that they had one in Knoxville - it made my day!! We had a breakfast meeting during my business trip to the area and First Watch was a perfect spot to spread out and work while having some delicious breakfast and coffee. The service was friendly and attentive too and the dining room is bright and cheerful. I really enjoy their omelettes and the fresh meusli with berries and other goodies is always a great choice.
(5)Jamie F.
Now this is what breakfast should be like. Ample seating, brightly lit, clean and organized. Friendly staff who knew the menu, got the order right, and refilled the drinks without being asked. Their eggs Benedict was perfectly prepared and their cheesy grits were just that- cheesy grits. The price was reasonable and I walked out with a full breakfast (including fruit) and a glass of OJ for $12. Bookmark this place friends, it's worth it!
(5)Jay B.
I am am avid first watch fan and this franchisee does not disappoint. The personnel were extremely friendly! We had the Alcupulco and the cickichanga (our usuals) and both were good; my only suggestion is more chorizo in the Alcupulco. I'd definitely come back.
(4)Jennifer M.
Fantastic food,,,,, wonderful service. Everyone that works here is happy and genuinely interested in the comfort of all of their customers. Beautiful decor, clean and very inviting. Go here for Breakfast and lunch!
(5)David C.
Excellent food, excellent service, wonderful light-filled ambience. Good coffee, but no espresso drinks. The pancakes are HUGE - I could only eat one. My girlfriend says it is "delightful". Free Wi-Fi. Outdoor tables.

Travelling, again, searching for my favorite meal of the week, Sunday Brunch, I found FirstWatch in a lukewarm Yelp review for another place. So glad I read the other reviews. Arrives at 11:30 am on a Sunday and was confused by facade because it looked like a small "big box" store from the parking lot. As I approached, I realized there were over a dozen people hanging around outside, drinking the free while-you-wait coffee. There was comfortable deck furniture to wait in. My 20-min estimated wait was pretty much spot-on. Service came quickly. Each person gets his/her own insulated carafe of (quite good) mcoffee and the freshly squeezed orange is amazing. I ordered then BLT/avocado Benedict. It was presented nicely and tasted great. It came with a bowl of fresh fruit. I will go back and take friends!!
(5)Ben B.
Great coffee. I had the Market Hash, which was pretty tasty. The wait time, however, was pretty long. Especially for an egg dish. And my girlfriend's meal was prepared incorrectly. Will try again in the future though.

I've been to the new First Watch in Farragut several times and each experience has been unique. It's odd, but Sunday afternoon when they are slammed is when they perform best. Early mornings during the week when the restaurant is slow is when I've had less than a five star experience. My first trip, I didn't get my water glass filled until I was 3/4 way done with ny meal. Not refilled, just filled for the first time. Additionally, I never did get the English muffin that came with my meal. Water was my only beverage. My most recent experience I ordered the Key West crepe eggs, something I've ordered before. The first time I ordered this meal, it came in the traditional crepe form. This time, it was just flopped over like an omelet. Overall the food is good, it would just be nice to have some consistency.
(2)Heather N.
Great breakfast & lunch place to come. Food is so fresh and not oily at all. Loved it!
(4)Hannah L.
Pretty average experience. Nothing terrible, but nothing great. Knoxville lacks a little in great, unique restaurants and seems to consistently provide a very average dining experience. I would go back if someone wanted to go, but I would not pick to eat here on my own.
(3)Laura P.
I have been to the Brentwood TN location twice for breakfast and it was really good. I was excited to learn Knoxville was getting one. Yesterday I had the two for you lunch with the veggie grill sandwich and the Santa Fe salad. It was one if the tastiest sandwiches I have ever had and now will find it hard to order anything else even though I want to try many more things on the menu. Can't wait to go back!
(5)Melissa C.
I'm not sure what the positive reviewers see in this place. It gets 2 stars for the service; the food was a solid 1 star. I had Eggs Benedict, which came with the strangest and most unappetizing-looking (congealed, dyspeptic, weirdly yellow) hollandaise sauce I've ever had -- at least I was prepared for the taste. The eggs were overcooked, and the potatoes it came with were undercooked (anemic, yet greasy). The place itself had no character. But the waitress was nice.
(2)Bill W.
Ok, but nothing to write home about. Had eggs Benedict and it was mediocre. Not worth the price.
