    Amazing food at lunch. I look forward to trying their dinner entrees. The orders were mixed up a bit when they delivered the food, but they were jovial & apologetic about it all. The spicy fries were HOT! Do not order of you don't like burning tonsils. I prefere the Persian sauce, my wife likes the cucumber sauce.

    Kabob Int'l is a wonderful place to experiment with the Persian menu. The owners and their new, enlarged staff are very helpful in explaining the subtle variances of their homemade sauces. You'll enjoy any of the kabobs or gyros but once you find just the right combo - you're hooked! Don't forget the baklava - it's very good too.

    When you are at Kebob, you are family. I love this place and although I am not a hummus fan their soups are amazing as are the dolma. The gyros are phenomenal and the yellow Persian sauce blew my mind. Go there and be blown away (try the lamb it's awesome)

    Was looking for something different while in town. The smells when I walked in were fabulous. The staff were very nice and helpful. I had the combo kabob plate. The amount of food was just right & the flavor was great. I'll come back next time I'm in town.

    Terrible service. Food was blah. When we told the waitress that our order was wrong the owner came flying on her broom to the table. She refused to admit the order was wrong and stated that we misunderstood her very vague menu description. We tried to explain that we would pay for a different dish and she asked us to leave and told us that her food is not Arabic food and that it is Persian. Whatever the hell she meant by that. The owner was a racist crazy yelling person. Even the waitress came back to apologize to us. Explaining they had to deal with her mood swings all the time. We left our food on the table and paid the full bill and left a tip out of politeness to the waitress. We won't be coming back.

    I ordered the Chicken Shwarma. The last time I had one was at a Donnar Kebob stand in Italy. It was the highlight of my trip which says a lot because I was in Rome, a food mecca. To say I was disappointed at Kabob International is an understatement. My chicken was so dry I could barely eat it. I think it needed a lot more sauce and vegetables. If I remember in Italy mine had some great red sauce on it. I gave it two stars only because the owners were nice, even though I had to go up to the register to pay the bill because no one brought me mine.

I was trying to find a good place close to home and after reading the reviews decided to try them out. Im glad I did. My biggest applause is the friendliness of the staff. Also,they have a great variety of Gyro flavors I want to try.

    The staff here is *so* nice. It is a family operated business, and they love their product. They are eager and more than willing to describe any dish to you and it's just an all around great atmosphere. This is a deli-type place. You order at the counter and they bring you your food. The Greek gyros are very good. The tzatziki sauce is fresh and has a slight lemony taste to it. They have okay hummus (a little garlicky, but I'm not a fan of lots of garlic) and their baklava is yummy! Take a look at their website; they have their full menu on it.

    Wow!!! Talk about a happy accident, we stumbled upon this place and my wife wanted to go but I didn't. I'm not familiar with mediterranean cuisine so it took me a while to decide what to try. I went out of my comfort zone and got the Arabic gyro with lamb. I have never had meat so tender. The sauces were delicious and the pita fresh. To play it safe i also got an order of cheese fries, which also had a unique blend of seasoning. My kid had the chicken kabob and it was awesome. The customer service was TOP notch. The dining room was immaculate. I don't think I've been to a cleaner restaurant. It was very affordable. If your not willing to try new things this place is definitely not for you. If I could complain about one thing, it would be that the tea is Earl Grey (states it clearly on the menu) and I learned that I don't like cold unsweetened Earl Grey, but they promptly replaced it with a diet coke.

    Kabob International is going to have to step their game up now that Casablanca opened a second location across the street. This was a seriously disappointing experience for me. I had heard rave reviews about this spot, and I love me some Greek and Mediterranean food. I was even more excited when I saw it was a little dive in a strip mall- I've found some of my favorite foods in dive-y strip malls. This spot, sadly is not one of them. I got my order to go- a sampler which consists of grape leaves, tabbouleh, hummus and baba ganoush and a combo kabob special plate which was lamb, chicken and beef on basmati rice. You can't have Greek without partaking in some baklava, so I added that as well. The total on this was $33 dollars, so one would assume it would be more than enough to share. It was meant to be dinner for my husband and I, but when we opened the containers at home we were sorely disappointed. The $8.99 sampler platter consisted of 2 grape leaves, 3 tablespoons each of hummus and baba ganoush and the saddest looking tabbouleh salad I'd ever laid eyes on. The hummus and baba ganoush were swimming in oil- literally. There was a layer of it on top. I didn't even touch it. I very rarely refuse to even try food, but this was disgusting. The combo platter was one piece each of lamb, chicken and beef- all extremely dry and on top of some very dry rice. The baklava was the only saving grace of the meal, but again it was cut so small it was only a bite. I feel like I have to cut them some slack because I did take the order to go. I hate doing that because I feel as a restaurant owner, if your food doesn't travel well you shouldn't offer to-go as an option. I also know that taking these items to-go wasn't what made them so bad. It was horribly overpriced for the portion sizes and the food was pretty awful. My advice? Skip this place all together and go to Casablanca. Their food is amazing and puts this joint to shame.

    Yum! Everything here is homemade and fresh. They have lots to choose from (lots of kabobs and gyros along with other dishes like souvlaki) but I always get a gyro. Beware, when you first get one you may think it's not enough food. I guarantee though you'll be struggling to finish it! I can only eat the regular sized gyro; I can't imagine attempting the mega size (9") unless I wasn't getting fries with it or was sharing with someone. Their tzatziki sauce is delicious, though if you're not sure about trying it you can get a slightly less authentic gyro with barbecue sauce, ranch dressing, or other sauces. Be warned though, their tea (either iced or hot) is Earl Grey, so it's not what you'd get elsewhere. It's the only downside for me as I hate Earl Grey tea, but it's a small concession to make since the food is so delicious. The service is incredibly friendly, and if you're a newbie to Mediterranean cuisine (as some of my buddies going with me have been), they graciously explain what goes in any dish or what something is.

    I LOVE this place! The owner is such a sweetheart and has served me every time I've gone. She really takes care of her customers and is hilarious! We brought our service animal in with us and after getting past the language barrier, she was very kind and even took our dog's order: "Spicy fries and a hot tea? Coming right up." The atmosphere is very nice with mood lighting and lovely decor. There's even a stage and nice leather couches as you walk in, though I've never had to wait on them. They have wonderful lunch specials, and buffet on Weds. and Friday. Delicious food with lots of options, vegetarian friendly, and spicy or not!

    If you're going to eat at a restaurant called Kabob International, you should probably order a kabob, even if the gyros sound really good. The owners must believe in their kabobs, because they didn't name the restaurant Gyro International. There are a few different kabob combos available, but I went with the first one (partially because the restaurant review that's printed on the menu said it was good): chicken and Skokie beef, available in kabob, pita or plate format. I went with the plate, which meant that the meat was served stick-less on a bed of aromatic rice. Grilled chicken seems like it should be an easy thing to get right, but that's not true. Too many times, grilled chicken comes out dry and sad. Not so at Kabob International. The chicken was moist and tender, but with just a tiny bit of grilled crunch on the edges. This is easily the best grilled chicken I've had since Stickem Truck. The beef was ground beef, shaped into a log. Like the chicken, it was juicy and fall-apart tender. The meat, and thus, the rice underneath it, came topped with a mustard-based sauce. None of the food was spicy, but it is very well seasoned, so if that's not your thing, you might want to skip Kabob International. Wash it down with: the sweet iced Earl Grey tea. Imagine if your super southern grandma (you know, the one who puts a whole cup of sugar into her pots of tea) was from the Middle East. That's what this tastes like. Be sure to say hi to: the very friendly staff, including the owner, who came over and chatted with me when she saw that I was getting a to-go box. (I think she was worried that I didn't get enough to eat. Not the case, as the portions are generous, I just wanted some for later.)

The waitstaff are on top of their game and very friendly especially the owners! Not sure what the female owners name is but she is very very sweet and always exceptionally friendly!!!!     Located in a strip mall in Cordova, directly off of Germantown Parkway, which is very easy to get to. The owner just upgraded her location by probably tripling the size of her restaurant and has applied for her license to serve wine and beer. I love Mediterranean food and I have always been pleased with this restaurant. The meals consist of lean cuts of lamb and chicken that are often drizzled with very flavorful garlic, mustard, and tzatziki sauces. One of my favorites is the Mediterranean salad with lamb gyro and chicken kabob. It is the perfect combination of meat, vegetables, feta cheese, and garlic sauce! Also you can never go wrong with the Dolma (stuffed grape leaves)! Give this place a try...you and the owner will be happy.

    I'm a terrible decision maker. I can never figure out what I want to do. In fact, I decided where to go to college by flipping a coin. And to this day, that is the preferred method of decision making for me. Usually, the coin flip works out for me. In this particular circumstance, it didn't. My girlfriend and I were in the Cordova area, and had a hankering for Mexican food. I was looking for La Hacienda, but ended up turning the wrong way on Dexter. We stumbled upon Kabob International, and since my mom had spoken so highly of it, and the coin confirmed, we decided to give it a try. The shop is located in the strip mall at Dexter and Germantown and is maybe one of the cleanest restaurants I have been in. There is no flair on the walls, the floors are polished wood, and everything is clean and sanitary. We were seated and had a waitress at our table almost immediately. We ordered the appetizer sampler, and when the food arrived, any idea we had of having a delicious meal was shattered. The food was served on a plastic plate, which seems confusing since most of the restaurant was exuding a classier vibe. That wasn't the most disappointing part. The sampler they served was awful. It came with (forgive my spelling) baba ganosh, humus, and doma. The baba ganosh was tasty, but the hummus was runny and about as oily as a 14-year-old's forehead. I couldn't even finish the doma. The only good part of the appetizer was the pita bread (which you only get one piece, quartered). Worst of all, none of the staff seemed to be willing to explain the dishes or the customary way to eat them. When they cleared away that train wreck, I was ready for a gyro. I asked the spaced-out looking waitress if the the gyro plat came with fries, since on the menu, there is a giant picture of a gyro on a plate with fries above the words "gyro plate." The waitress stuttered her way through the explanation that it came with rice and a salad. You can imagine my surprise when the waitress dropped off my plate with four slices of lamb over some rice. I wanted to scream. I wanted to shout. I wanted to shake the waitress until her eyes focused and her mouth closed and she resembled a regular person as opposed to a drug addict watching the Big Lebowski. I didn't do any of that. Instead, I gamely swallowed the woefully inadequate portion ( for 9.99 i was expecting more than 3 lettuce leaves, a scoop of rice and a couple of skewers of lamb). The only redeeming part of the meal, the pita bread, wasn't even included!! The waitress, probably rushing into the back to get her next fix, dropped off our check and never returned. After 15 minutes elapsed we finally realized that no one was coming to collect the check and decided to go up front to pay. The owner was at the register and bombarded us with so many questions, that I didn't even realize i left a 30 percent tip on a bill that was almost thirty dollars until it was too late. I think I'll take a note from our waitress and never return.

    You absolutely must come and receive the Kabob international experience. The service here phenomenal. Our waiter was the actual owner and the cook is her husband. This is the true definition of a mom-and-pop place however the food was spectacular. I had the New Zealand lamb over Basmati rice. The lamb was so tender you could cut it with a fork. Everything was seasoned to perfection and there was so much that i took quite a bit home and ate the next day. I highly recommend coming here for an international food tasting experience.

    Living in Memphis, there are plenty of other places to get Mediterranean food and from now on, I will go somewhere else. We were seated and then the local deputies came in and the woman hostess, I guess owner tells them she was sorry she gave us "their table. Needless to say, it made us feel awkward. Should we get up? They had a lunch board but it was covered up. I asked if they had any lunch specials and the waiter acted annoyed he had to go uncover the board. I still could only see one thing when there was more on there so we just ordered the gyro lunch plate. The Gyro was rather small compared to other places but it was not expensive. Getting drink refills seemed like a bother to our server and we honestly felt not welcome. It is too bad as I love Gyros and Mediterranean food and its right down the street from me.

    This place is conveniently placed near the Cordova Kroger and behind the Burger King. I was greeted kindly by ta woman and told she would clean the table for me. The buffet seemed nice but could use some more meats on the buffet line. I would say this place is worth trying if you have a urge for decent good lunch.it can be pricey for a appetizer and entree but it's worth it for the most part.

    Automatically fell in love with this place. The great customer service starts immediately as soon as you walk in. The staff is friendly and very helpful. The food is authentic Mediterranean cuisine and it is very delicious. They even have a select few American cuisine items that are tasty. The gyros are huge and filled with flavor and meat. I'd recommend coming during happy hour. They serve special plates with your choice of beer to drink. Awesome environment definitely will come again.

    I have started to dislike this place. I always order the Mexican gyro with pico, avocado and onion. It doesn't come with lettuce, pickle or banana peppers but unless I tell them DONT put it then they will. I called the owner to voice my concern and upset feelings. Instead of apologizing and/or offering to make up for it, she goes into all these lame excuses. She goes on to tell me that I have to tell them not to put it because they don't know what customers want because each customer wants something different. Well IF YOU TELL ME THAT THESE ITEMS DONT COME ON then why in the heck do I have to tell you not to put items on it that shouldn't be. She would barely let me speak, speaking over me. Just a disaster. I love the food but doubt I'll be eating there again. Guess it's time to find a new spot. Long story short, customer service sucks. Don't expect them to own up to their mistakes or apologize.

After making sure they weren't about to close, I sat down to some really good Mediterranean food! Also, they have a space for live music, which sounds awesome!     I too have been a victim of the "space out waitress" mentioned by another reviewer. Thankfully, she was not our primary server! My wife and I had the sampler plate. I did not enjoy it, though I might have if the server had explained it to us more. I also made the mistake of getting the platter instead of just a plain Gyro. It was ok, but I wish I would have just gotten a Gyro, as they just dump meat on top of lackluster rice with the platter. My wife said the food was better before the remodeling this business recently performed. If I were to give a tip, it would be to really, really beg the waitress to explain what you're ordering.

    Let me preface this by saying this was our first time here, and D has already decided it's one of his favorite restaurants in the city. There were so many good things about this spot. First, the owner waited on us, and was wonderful. Genuinely nice, and she seemed to care about her customers and how they were liking their food. We started with tabouli salad, which was served with fresh-baked pita bread. (The bread alone is worth a star in this review!) D had a gyro, which he loved, and I had mixed kabobs which chicken souvlaki (SO GOOD) and another beef kabob that was kind of like hamburger. Mine was served over rice, that was a little bland, but a nice contrast against the spices on the meat, and a small salad with an amazing dressing in it. We got more fresh bread and the best tzatziki sauce I've ever had. I rounded out my meal with a piece of pistachio baklava. It was also delicious! We've already planned to take some friends there next week, so I might get a chance to update my review!

    Very good food, fresh ingredients. I tried the lamb shank which is amazing, the meet is tender and filled with flavor. The dill rice is excellent. I've tried the lamb trio which was very good. I've been there for three times now and each visit was pleasant. The owner comes to each customer and check if they are satisfied with the food and the service. I wish that they have the traditional Persian stews otherwise it's one of my favorite places to eat. I highly recommend this place.

    Hands down the best restaurant I've been to in a long time, and I travel to different cities every week! A friend brought me here, said it was his favorite place and I'm so glad I trusted him! This will now be one of my go to places! He ordered us the hummus, which was perfect, and the lamb plate which was delicious! Spiced and cooked expertly. Service was on point, and the owner checked in with us several times. We sat on the patio which was lovely. You would be doing yourself a disservice if you don't try this place out!

    Great Gyros Having Lunch with Family from Virginia, every one Had Great time, enjoyed the Hot fries, Gyro Pita, can't have the 6 inches, gotta have 9 inch, Pita is freshly made daily, The Persian tea was great, had Hot Tea, cucumber sauce is great with the side dish of pita slice breads.     It's tough having them so close to Casablanca. Both are excellent. I really enjoy the Persian flair to Kabob and their good has always been excellent.     This restaurant is located in a strip center on the Northeast corner of Dexter Rd. and Gemantown Pkwy. We arrived and were seated quickly. Our server took a drink orders and brought them promptly. She then wanted to help us order. I didn't really want help, but played along. It turns out out server was the owner. She was really helpful and everything sounded good. Being a Chicagoan from the Greek town area, I went with the Gyro plate. I was not disappointed! We started with a Humus and Pita chip appetizer and the humus was some of the best I have ever tasted. The sandwich was delicious. The lamb was crispy and seasoned perfectly. The sauce was creamy and good. I would have preferred it a bit thicker but the flavor was huge! The fries it came with were good. We ordered 1 baklava to split because I had to know if it was good. It was. The pistachio version that I favor versus the walnut kind. It was gooey and flaky and just downright old country. The restaurant itself is cute. For whatever reason, it has a light decorated tree in the middle of it. There is also a very cool outdoor patio. They have live music on the weekends. We spoke with the owner for a bit after we ate and found out all her dishes and sauces are made by her from scratch. Even the yogurt. Was this the best Greek food I had ever had? No but it was the best in Memphis, and we tried many places. They serve a full bar. Bottom Line: Great Service Great Food Good Prices Good Portions

    Alright, so I wanted to wait a while before I write a review just to see if the impression fades....it did not! The place is out a ways for me, but we were out here and I'd already heard good things about this place from my fellows. The owners are part-Persian and did a great job covering cuisines from most Middle Eastern countries. The Kabobs are divine...any and all of them!!! They have several Gyro (pronounced yee-roo) styles to suit most palates and the portions are varied from small to ginormous (yes, I did just write ginormous). The taste is great: perfectly seasoned, cooked and prepared (as in, they didn't screw it up by adding the wrong ingredients). Everything we tried on the menu, and we tried so much, was great. My only complaint is maybe that it's a bit pricey but honestly it's worth it. The service there is fantastic and the owner is adorable! She kept on sneaking up on us to check that everything was up to par! Definitely going back!

    This place is really nice. We had three employees checking on us the entire time. They make you seem right at home. No wait on seating and the food took only 10-15 minutes. I had a duet with chicken and beef served over rice. It was very tasty. Definitely recommend it!

    I went here quite sometime back with a friend. The place is fine - clean, neat - and we were greeted at the door by a lady who identified herself as the owner, was very cordial and took our order. Seemed like a good start. I ordered a small beef gyro, she ordered a small beef kabob, and we got hummus with pita bread. The total for those 3 items plus 2 drinks was a little less than $18.00 on the menu. She brought us the hummus and pita bread, which was runny and stale, respectively, so we ate very little. When we finally got our food 45 minutes later (it was us and one other table in the restaurant), I was served a small lamb gyro and she a large beef gyro. When I pointed out the error to the server/purported owner, she became angry and told us we had told her wrong, showing us an illegible ticket as purported proof. My friend decided she did not want to argue the matter so I dropped it. The server never returned to the table. My lamb gyro was pretty good actually, but my friend's beef was so overdone and rubbery she couldn't chew it. I couldn't get fork tongs to penetrate the exterior to even attempt to cut it. Against my friend's protestations, I pointed this out to the purported owner, at which point she told me that's how Mediterranean beef is made and if we didn't know we shouldn't have ordered that. I've been eating gyros for 20 years, so I definitely know better. I was furious at this point, but I calmly asked for at least a refill on our drinks. She shook her head, walked away into a back room and didn't come back for several minutes. I told my friend we should just go. So I went to the counter to pay and at first she was very apologetic that we hadn't eaten it all and offered to 'give us' a couple of baklava as a way to make up for it. I accepted and she rang it up - the total came to $35! I asked her why - she had charged us 50 cents for every triangle of pita bread, plus charged for a 'jumbo' gyro that my friend couldn't eat, plus charged for the baklava she had said she would 'give us'. I told her that I didn't want them then and she made a huge deal about taking them off the total, yelling in another language. It still came out to $30. I didn't tip and she asked me why. Seriously? I'll never be back and I warn anyone who asks about this place. Maybe the person working that day was just having a bad day, but that's one of the worst dining experiences I've had.

    I LOVE coming here. The staff is extremely welcoming every time and the food is EPIC! The first time I came here, I got the lamb shank. Can you say fall off the bone tender? The gyros are stellar!!! Wednesdays and Fridays they have a lunch buffet. Can't go wrong with that. Well priced, too. Their bread pudding is thebomb.com/awesome ! And I've had both kinds of baklava. You'll be happy with either. I don't think there's anything you wouldn't be happy about getting.

    My wife and I have been enjoying Kabob International (aka Little Persian) for years. If only there were a six-star rating! These delicious and authentic meals can't be found anywhere else in the area - we've tried other places! The recipes for the sauces and meats are exactly like the owner's mother used to make. The chefs are so flexible that they can even customize these incredibly appetizing plates to your tastes - I love the tzatziki sauce, but my wife prefers to replace it with their secret-recipe yellow sauce. Both are intensely flavorful. I'm looking forward to their move to the larger place next door in the next couple of weeks; it'll give me more room to bring my friends to this friendly, scrumptious restaurant. Cordova is blessed that these folks have chosen to share their culinary heritage with us.

    Great food! Great owner! I don't know why other people are saying it was super expensive. Four person meal for us was very reasonable. I would just suggest asking for them to cook you whatever they think is best. Also, added bonus got to see Grizzlies player Hammed Haddadi.

    A coworker of mine highly recommended this place for Greek food. So this past Saturday I checked it out along with my brother. We asked at the front counter if their will be a someone to serve us? The lady at the counter responds "we are too busy to take your orders from the tables". As if though the place was full. Keep in mind the tables are less than 5 steps from the counter. The menu can be misleading and puzzling, e.g., I ordered the gyro value meal but the only thing that comes with this "value" meal is the gyro it self. Fries and a drink are separate. We sat in the corner and waited approximately 25 minutes for our food to finally arrive. The food is ok, nothing spectacular. I'm use to gyro's made with piles of lamb meat falling off the pita bread, kind of stingy with the meat if you ask me. I paid for my brother who ate the same thing, the bill came out to $24.05 (2 gyro's, 2 fries and 2 soft drinks). Overall I'm not impressed and will not be a returning customer. Stick a fork in it.

    I first discovered Kabob International about four years ago when I moved to an apartment complex nearby. I was hooked at first bite. The food is fresh, the service is friendly, and though the prices are a bit steep compared to other Mediterranean restaurants, it was always worth it to me. Then I...stopped going. I discovered the (now sadly closed) Mount Olive nearby and started going there. The prices were a lot better, and I developed a real rapport with that owner. After Mount Olive closed, I wasn't living nearby anymore, so I switched my loyalties to the (once great and now icky) Zaytoon. See my Zaytoon review for more information. Anyway, fast forward some time and one night, husband and I were jonesing for some Mediterranean food. With Mount Olive gone and Zaytoon a shell of itself, we were trying to think of where to go. Kabob International popped into my head. So we called, placed our order (chicken kabob for him, Mediterranean appetizer sampler for me)...and very quickly we were eating VERY delicious food. My husband raves about the chicken kabob plate -- marinated chicken served on top of rice with a small salad. My Mediterranean appetizer sampler is packed full of hummus, baba ghanoush, tabbouleh and stuffed grape leaves. All fresh and delightful. It's a small place, but cozy and nicely decorated. The service is always friendly. They CAN get a bit backed up on take-out orders, especially during peak times, but nothing too terrible and they're very good about letting you know over the phone when they're really busy. The prices still are a bit expensive, compared to the portions, but the food is so fresh and wonderful that it's a great trade-off. Their take-out orders are well packaged (though all styrofoam, if that bothers you). An excellent place. Give it a try!

    I've only been here once, when I was running errands and wanted something other than fast food. While I am *not* a fan of lamb (seriously, eating baby animals, what?), I do love grilled veggies and was pleased with a grilled Armenian veggie kabob, with zucchini, grilled peppers, mushrooms, and onions.     We started with the hummus, I ordered the chicken gyro, which was dry, bland and unappealing and my sister had the beef and chicken platter, that looked good and the flavor was okay. The hummus and tzatziki was so runny. I'm from Michigan, and the majority if not all, the population in Dearborn and surrounding areas are from the middle east, so there are great restaurants, so I've tried awesome Mediterranean food and this was sadly not one of them. We were told that the hummus came with two pitas, when we got our bill we were charged for the two pitas, when I asked the waitress about it, she said that the hummus is eaten by itself... I've always been served a basket of pita at other places. Very disappointing, however the owner couldn't have been any sweeter. I had high hopes because of the reviews, I won't be returning.

    This establishment is a cafeteria. It is clean. Service is friendly. The food is just all right. The following was ordered: Appetiser sampler platter was so so. I do not like cold stuffed grape leaves. Lemony hummus lacked nutty taste of chickpeas and creaminess of tahini paste. Baba Ganoush was a bit lumpy for my liking. A pronounced bitterness from aubergines was not balanced by lemons, salt or tahini paste. Tzatzki was watery. Hot Chicken Kabob was mediocre, to say the least. Boneless chicken breast used was dry and thready. Pita bread was not warm and pliable, but rather stale. 3 orphaned pieces of grilled vegetables were great though. Combo Kabob Special was nice. Lamb Kabobs were soft. Rice was perfectly cooked. 2 Kid's Chicken Kabob on a Stick were all right. I am going to reserve my judgement on Kabob Int'l this time. In future, I am planning to try dishes with rice.

    I went here a few months back on a recommendation. Glad I did. It is a small mom-n-pop deli type place. The atmosphere is calm and cozy. The owners treat you like family. I got a traditional gyro and was so impressed I took one home for my wife and she loved it too(she won't eat lamb so I got her beef). We went back and I got the 9 inch and it seemed to lose some personality. I'll stick with the regular, the hummus was great, I love garlic. Baklava was not my favorite but that is because of my taste prefence, it was made very well. The flavors of the gyro blend well together and the lamb is so friggin good. The kid had chicken wrapped in pita and she gobbled it up. It is, in my experience, the best gyro I have had. Will post more as I try other things.

    I was surprised by this place. When I first saw this place from the outside I figured it was going to be more of a diner with gyros and not much else. Boy was I wrong. It's a very nice and clean place. The atmosphere is also very pleasant. I had no problems with my waitress who was very nice and understanding about my crying baby and allowed us to switch from sit down to carry out with no complaints. The food was pretty good too. The lamb was tender and very tasty. I do wish that there was a bit more to the platter than just rice and small salad, but it was still very good. I intend to go back sometime very soon.

    Hands down the best restaurant I've been to in a long time, and I travel to different cities every week! A friend brought me here, said it was his favorite place and I'm so glad I trusted him!     Very good food, fresh ingredients. I tried the lamb shank which is amazing, the meet is tender and filled with flavor. The dill rice is excellent. I've tried the lamb trio which was very good. I've been there for three times now and each visit was pleasant. The owner comes to each customer and check if they are satisfied with the food and the service.     This restaurant is located in a strip center on the Northeast corner of Dexter Rd. and Gemantown Pkwy. We arrived and were seated quickly. Our server took a drink orders and brought them promptly. She then wanted to help us order. I didn't really want help, but played along. It turns out out server was the owner. She was really helpful and everything sounded good. Being a Chicagoan from the Greek town area, I went with the Gyro plate. I was not disappointed! We started with a Humus and Pita chip appetizer and the humus was some of the best I have ever tasted. The sandwich was delicious. The lamb was crispy and seasoned perfectly. The sauce was creamy and good. I would have preferred it a bit thicker but the flavor was huge! The fries it came with were good. We ordered 1 baklava to split because I had to know if it was good. It was. The pistachio version that I favor versus the walnut kind. It was gooey and flaky and just downright old country. The restaurant itself is cute. For whatever reason, it has a light decorated tree in the middle of it. There is also a very cool outdoor patio. They have live music on the weekends. We spoke with the owner for a bit after we ate and found out all her dishes and sauces are made by her from scratch. Even the yogurt. Was this the best Greek food I had ever had? No but it was the best in Memphis, and we tried many places. They serve a full bar. Bottom Line: Great Service Great Food Good Prices Good Portions

    Automatically fell in love with this place. The great customer service starts immediately as soon as you walk in. The staff is friendly and very helpful.     This place is conveniently placed near the Cordova Kroger and behind the Burger King. I was greeted kindly by ta woman and told she would clean the table for me. The buffet seemed nice but could use some more meats on the buffet line.     I LOVE this place! The owner is such a sweetheart and has served me every time I've gone. She really takes care of her customers and is hilarious! We brought our service animal in with us and after getting past the language barrier, she was very kind and even took our dog's order: "Spicy fries and a hot tea? Coming right up." The atmosphere is very nice with mood lighting and lovely decor. There's even a stage and nice leather couches as you walk in, though I've never had to wait on them. They have wonderful lunch specials, and buffet on Weds. and Friday. Delicious food with lots of options, vegetarian friendly, and spicy or not!

    You absolutely must come and receive the Kabob international experience. The service here phenomenal. Our waiter was the actual owner and the cook is her husband. This is the true definition of a mom-and-pop place however the food was spectacular. I had the New Zealand lamb over Basmati rice. The lamb was so tender you could cut it with a fork. Everything was seasoned to perfection and there was so much that i took quite a bit home and ate the next day. I highly recommend coming here for an international food tasting experience.

    Living in Memphis, there are plenty of other places to get Mediterranean food and from now on, I will go somewhere else. We were seated and then the local deputies came in and the woman hostess, I guess owner tells them she was sorry she gave us "their table. Needless to say, it made us feel awkward. Should we get up? They had a lunch board but it was covered up. I asked if they had any lunch specials and the waiter acted annoyed he had to go uncover the board. I still could only see one thing when there was more on there so we just ordered the gyro lunch plate. The Gyro was rather small compared to other places but it was not expensive. Getting drink refills seemed like a bother to our server and we honestly felt not welcome. It is too bad as I love Gyros and Mediterranean food and its right down the street from me.

    I have started to dislike this place. I always order the Mexican gyro with pico, avocado and onion. It doesn't come with lettuce, pickle or banana peppers but unless I tell them DONT put it then they will. I called the owner to voice my concern and upset feelings. Instead of apologizing and/or offering to make up for it, she goes into all these lame excuses. She goes on to tell me that I have to tell them not to put it because they don't know what customers want because each customer wants something different. Well IF YOU TELL ME THAT THESE ITEMS DONT COME ON then why in the heck do I have to tell you not to put items on it that shouldn't be. She would barely let me speak, speaking over me. Just a disaster. I love the food but doubt I'll be eating there again. Guess it's time to find a new spot. Long story short, customer service sucks. Don't expect them to own up to their mistakes or apologize.

    Let me preface this by saying this was our first time here, and D has already decided it's one of his favorite restaurants in the city. There were so many good things about this spot. First, the owner waited on us, and was wonderful. Genuinely nice, and she seemed to care about her customers and how they were liking their food. We started with tabouli salad, which was served with fresh-baked pita bread. (The bread alone is worth a star in this review!) D had a gyro, which he loved, and I had mixed kabobs which chicken souvlaki (SO GOOD) and another beef kabob that was kind of like hamburger. Mine was served over rice, that was a little bland, but a nice contrast against the spices on the meat, and a small salad with an amazing dressing in it. We got more fresh bread and the best tzatziki sauce I've ever had. I rounded out my meal with a piece of pistachio baklava. It was also delicious! We've already planned to take some friends there next week, so I might get a chance to update my review!

    Alright, so I wanted to wait a while before I write a review just to see if the impression fades....it did not! The place is out a ways for me, but we were out here and I'd already heard good things about this place from my fellows. The owners are part-Persian and did a great job covering cuisines from most Middle Eastern countries. The Kabobs are divine...any and all of them!!! They have several Gyro (pronounced yee-roo) styles to suit most palates and the portions are varied from small to ginormous (yes, I did just write ginormous). The taste is great: perfectly seasoned, cooked and prepared (as in, they didn't screw it up by adding the wrong ingredients). Everything we tried on the menu, and we tried so much, was great. My only complaint is maybe that it's a bit pricey but honestly it's worth it. The service there is fantastic and the owner is adorable! She kept on sneaking up on us to check that everything was up to par! Definitely going back!

    This place is really nice. We had three employees checking on us the entire time. They make you seem right at home. No wait on seating and the food took only 10-15 minutes. I had a duet with chicken and beef served over rice. It was very tasty. Definitely recommend it!

    I too have been a victim of the "space out waitress" mentioned by another reviewer. Thankfully, she was not our primary server! My wife and I had the sampler plate. I did not enjoy it, though I might have if the server had explained it to us more. I also made the mistake of getting the platter instead of just a plain Gyro. It was ok, but I wish I would have just gotten a Gyro, as they just dump meat on top of lackluster rice with the platter. My wife said the food was better before the remodeling this business recently performed. If I were to give a tip, it would be to really, really beg the waitress to explain what you're ordering.

    I went here quite sometime back with a friend. The place is fine - clean, neat - and we were greeted at the door by a lady who identified herself as the owner, was very cordial and took our order. Seemed like a good start. I ordered a small beef gyro, she ordered a small beef kabob, and we got hummus with pita bread. The total for those 3 items plus 2 drinks was a little less than $18.00 on the menu. She brought us the hummus and pita bread, which was runny and stale, respectively, so we ate very little. When we finally got our food 45 minutes later (it was us and one other table in the restaurant), I was served a small lamb gyro and she a large beef gyro. When I pointed out the error to the server/purported owner, she became angry and told us we had told her wrong, showing us an illegible ticket as purported proof. My friend decided she did not want to argue the matter so I dropped it. The server never returned to the table. My lamb gyro was pretty good actually, but my friend's beef was so overdone and rubbery she couldn't chew it. I couldn't get fork tongs to penetrate the exterior to even attempt to cut it. Against my friend's protestations, I pointed this out to the purported owner, at which point she told me that's how Mediterranean beef is made and if we didn't know we shouldn't have ordered that.     Terrible service. Food was blah. When we told the waitress that our order was wrong the owner came flying on her broom to the table. She refused to admit the order was wrong and stated that we misunderstood her very vague menu description. We tried to explain that we would pay for a different dish and she asked us to leave and told us that her food is not Arabic food and that it is Persian. Whatever the hell she meant by that. The owner was a racist crazy yelling person. Even the waitress came back to apologize to us. Explaining they had to deal with her mood swings all the time. We left our food on the table and paid the full bill and left a tip out of politeness to the waitress. We won't be coming back.

    I ordered the Chicken Shwarma. The last time I had one was at a Donnar Kebob stand in Italy. It was the highlight of my trip which says a lot because I was in Rome, a food mecca. To say I was disappointed at Kabob International is an understatement. My chicken was so dry I could barely eat it. I think it needed a lot more sauce and vegetables. If I remember in Italy mine had some great red sauce on it. I gave it two stars only because the owners were nice, even though I had to go up to the register to pay the bill because no one brought me mine.

    Amazing food at lunch. I look forward to trying their dinner entrees. The orders were mixed up a bit when they delivered the food, but they were jovial & apologetic about it all. The spicy fries were HOT! Do not order of you don't like burning tonsils. I prefere the Persian sauce, my wife likes the cucumber sauce.

    Kabob Int'l is a wonderful place to experiment with the Persian menu. The owners and their new, enlarged staff are very helpful in explaining the subtle variances of their homemade sauces. You'll enjoy any of the kabobs or gyros but once you find just the right combo - you're hooked! Don't forget the baklava - it's very good too.

    Kabob International is going to have to step their game up now that Casablanca opened a second location across the street. This was a seriously disappointing experience for me. I had heard rave reviews about this spot, and I love me some Greek and Mediterranean food. I was even more excited when I saw it was a little dive in a strip mall- I've found some of my favorite foods in dive-y strip malls. This spot, sadly is not one of them. I got my order to go- a sampler which consists of grape leaves, tabbouleh, hummus and baba ganoush and a combo kabob special plate which was lamb, chicken and beef on basmati rice. You can't have Greek without partaking in some baklava, so I added that as well. The total on this was $33 dollars, so one would assume it would be more than enough to share. It was meant to be dinner for my husband and I, but when we opened the containers at home we were sorely disappointed. The $8.99 sampler platter consisted of 2 grape leaves, 3 tablespoons each of hummus and baba ganoush and the saddest looking tabbouleh salad I'd ever laid eyes on. The hummus and baba ganoush were swimming in oil- literally. There was a layer of it on top. I didn't even touch it. I very rarely refuse to even try food, but this was disgusting. The combo platter was one piece each of lamb, chicken and beef- all extremely dry and on top of some very dry rice. The baklava was the only saving grace of the meal, but again it was cut so small it was only a bite. I feel like I have to cut them some slack because I did take the order to go. I hate doing that because I feel as a restaurant owner, if your food doesn't travel well you shouldn't offer to-go as an option. I also know that taking these items to-go wasn't what made them so bad. It was horribly overpriced for the portion sizes and the food was pretty awful. My advice? Skip this place all together and go to Casablanca. Their food is amazing and puts this joint to shame.

    Yum! Everything here is homemade and fresh. They have lots to choose from (lots of kabobs and gyros along with other dishes like souvlaki) but I always get a gyro. Beware, when you first get one you may think it's not enough food. I guarantee though you'll be struggling to finish it! I can only eat the regular sized gyro; I can't imagine attempting the mega size (9") unless I wasn't getting fries with it or was sharing with someone. Their tzatziki sauce is delicious, though if you're not sure about trying it you can get a slightly less authentic gyro with barbecue sauce, ranch dressing, or other sauces. Be warned though, their tea (either iced or hot) is Earl Grey, so it's not what you'd get elsewhere. It's the only downside for me as I hate Earl Grey tea, but it's a small concession to make since the food is so delicious. The service is incredibly friendly, and if you're a newbie to Mediterranean cuisine (as some of my buddies going with me have been), they graciously explain what goes in any dish or what something is.

    the food is always fresh! interesting things you won't find other places in memphis - homemade souvlaki sauce, fresh gyros. lamb shanks, chicken every day.....fresh bread...tea with interesting flavor!! i can count on the great consistency and flavor - never has disappointed and always something interesting on the menu. the owners are open and friendly and aim to please fresh dessert every day!! baclava!! go and you won't be disappointed - they are soon to move to a new larger place!!

    If you're going to eat at a restaurant called Kabob International, you should probably order a kabob, even if the gyros sound really good. The owners must believe in their kabobs, because they didn't name the restaurant Gyro International. There are a few different kabob combos available, but I went with the first one (partially because the restaurant review that's printed on the menu said it was good): chicken and Skokie beef, available in kabob, pita or plate format. I went with the plate, which meant that the meat was served stick-less on a bed of aromatic rice. Grilled chicken seems like it should be an easy thing to get right, but that's not true. Too many times, grilled chicken comes out dry and sad. Not so at Kabob International. The chicken was moist and tender, but with just a tiny bit of grilled crunch on the edges. This is easily the best grilled chicken I've had since Stickem Truck. The beef was ground beef, shaped into a log. Like the chicken, it was juicy and fall-apart tender. The meat, and thus, the rice underneath it, came topped with a mustard-based sauce. None of the food was spicy, but it is very well seasoned, so if that's not your thing, you might want to skip Kabob International. Wash it down with: the sweet iced Earl Grey tea. Imagine if your super southern grandma (you know, the one who puts a whole cup of sugar into her pots of tea) was from the Middle East. That's what this tastes like. Be sure to say hi to: the very friendly staff, including the owner, who came over and chatted with me when she saw that I was getting a to-go box. (I think she was worried that I didn't get enough to eat. Not the case, as the portions are generous, I just wanted some for later.)

The waitstaff are on top of their game and very friendly especially the owners! Not sure what the female owners name is but she is very very sweet and always exceptionally friendly!!!!     Located in a strip mall in Cordova, directly off of Germantown Parkway, which is very easy to get to. The owner just upgraded her location by probably tripling the size of her restaurant and has applied for her license to serve wine and beer. I love Mediterranean food and I have always been pleased with this restaurant. The meals consist of lean cuts of lamb and chicken that are often drizzled with very flavorful garlic, mustard, and tzatziki sauces. One of my favorites is the Mediterranean salad with lamb gyro and chicken kabob. It is the perfect combination of meat, vegetables, feta cheese, and garlic sauce! Also you can never go wrong with the Dolma (stuffed grape leaves)! Give this place a try...you and the owner will be happy.

    I'm a terrible decision maker. I can never figure out what I want to do. In fact, I decided where to go to college by flipping a coin. And to this day, that is the preferred method of decision making for me. Usually, the coin flip works out for me. In this particular circumstance, it didn't. My girlfriend and I were in the Cordova area, and had a hankering for Mexican food. I was looking for La Hacienda, but ended up turning the wrong way on Dexter. We stumbled upon Kabob International, and since my mom had spoken so highly of it, and the coin confirmed, we decided to give it a try. The shop is located in the strip mall at Dexter and Germantown and is maybe one of the cleanest restaurants I have been in. There is no flair on the walls, the floors are polished wood, and everything is clean and sanitary. We were seated and had a waitress at our table almost immediately. We ordered the appetizer sampler, and when the food arrived, any idea we had of having a delicious meal was shattered. The food was served on a plastic plate, which seems confusing since most of the restaurant was exuding a classier vibe. That wasn't the most disappointing part. The sampler they served was awful. It came with (forgive my spelling) baba ganosh, humus, and doma. The baba ganosh was tasty, but the hummus was runny and about as oily as a 14-year-old's forehead. I couldn't even finish the doma. The only good part of the appetizer was the pita bread (which you only get one piece, quartered). Worst of all, none of the staff seemed to be willing to explain the dishes or the customary way to eat them. When they cleared away that train wreck, I was ready for a gyro. I asked the spaced-out looking waitress if the the gyro plat came with fries, since on the menu, there is a giant picture of a gyro on a plate with fries above the words "gyro plate." The waitress stuttered her way through the explanation that it came with rice and a salad. You can imagine my surprise when the waitress dropped off my plate with four slices of lamb over some rice. I wanted to scream. I wanted to shout. I wanted to shake the waitress until her eyes focused and her mouth closed and she resembled a regular person as opposed to a drug addict watching the Big Lebowski. I didn't do any of that. Instead, I gamely swallowed the woefully inadequate portion ( for 9.99 i was expecting more than 3 lettuce leaves, a scoop of rice and a couple of skewers of lamb). The only redeeming part of the meal, the pita bread, wasn't even included!! The waitress, probably rushing into the back to get her next fix, dropped off our check and never returned. After 15 minutes elapsed we finally realized that no one was coming to collect the check and decided to go up front to pay. The owner was at the register and bombarded us with so many questions, that I didn't even realize i left a 30 percent tip on a bill that was almost thirty dollars until it was too late. I think I'll take a note from our waitress and never return.

    It's tough having them so close to Casablanca. Both are excellent. I really enjoy the Persian flair to Kabob and their good has always been excellent.     I've only been here once, when I was running errands and wanted something other than fast food. While I am *not* a fan of lamb (seriously, eating baby animals, what?), I do love grilled veggies and was pleased with a grilled Armenian veggie kabob, with zucchini, grilled peppers, mushrooms, and onions. Overall, pretty good.

    A coworker of mine highly recommended this place for Greek food. So this past Saturday I checked it out along with my brother. We asked at the front counter if their will be a someone to serve us? The lady at the counter responds "we are too busy to take your orders from the tables". As if though the place was full. Keep in mind the tables are less than 5 steps from the counter. The menu can be misleading and puzzling, e.g., I ordered the gyro value meal but the only thing that comes with this "value" meal is the gyro it self. Fries and a drink are separate. We sat in the corner and waited approximately 25 minutes for our food to finally arrive. The food is ok, nothing spectacular. I'm use to gyro's made with piles of lamb meat falling off the pita bread, kind of stingy with the meat if you ask me. I paid for my brother who ate the same thing, the bill came out to $24.05 (2 gyro's, 2 fries and 2 soft drinks). Overall I'm not impressed and will not be a returning customer. Stick a fork in it.

    Best gyros/kebabs in Memphis. Get the mega, it's worth it! A family restaurant that offers great service, great dolmas, and fresh ingredients. It's in Cordova so it's a bit of a drive but more than worth it for great kebabs at a great price.

    I went here a few months back on a recommendation. Glad I did. It is a small mom-n-pop deli type place. The atmosphere is calm and cozy. The owners treat you like family. I got a traditional gyro and was so impressed I took one home for my wife and she loved it too(she won't eat lamb so I got her beef). We went back and I got the 9 inch and it seemed to lose some personality. I'll stick with the regular, the hummus was great, I love garlic. Baklava was not my favorite but that is because of my taste prefence, it was made very well. The flavors of the gyro blend well together and the lamb is so friggin good. The kid had chicken wrapped in pita and she gobbled it up. It is, in my experience, the best gyro I have had. Will post more as I try other things.

    I first discovered Kabob International about four years ago when I moved to an apartment complex nearby. I was hooked at first bite. The food is fresh, the service is friendly, and though the prices are a bit steep compared to other Mediterranean restaurants, it was always worth it to me. Then I...stopped going. I discovered the (now sadly closed) Mount Olive nearby and started going there. The prices were a lot better, and I developed a real rapport with that owner. After Mount Olive closed, I wasn't living nearby anymore, so I switched my loyalties to the (once great and now icky) Zaytoon. See my Zaytoon review for more information. Anyway, fast forward some time and one night, husband and I were jonesing for some Mediterranean food. With Mount Olive gone and Zaytoon a shell of itself, we were trying to think of where to go. Kabob International popped into my head. So we called, placed our order (chicken kabob for him, Mediterranean appetizer sampler for me)...and very quickly we were eating VERY delicious food. My husband raves about the chicken kabob plate -- marinated chicken served on top of rice with a small salad. My Mediterranean appetizer sampler is packed full of hummus, baba ghanoush, tabbouleh and stuffed grape leaves. All fresh and delightful. It's a small place, but cozy and nicely decorated. The service is always friendly. They CAN get a bit backed up on take-out orders, especially during peak times, but nothing too terrible and they're very good about letting you know over the phone when they're really busy. The prices still are a bit expensive, compared to the portions, but the food is so fresh and wonderful that it's a great trade-off. Their take-out orders are well packaged (though all styrofoam, if that bothers you). An excellent place. Give it a try!

    We started with the hummus, I ordered the chicken gyro, which was dry, bland and unappealing and my sister had the beef and chicken platter, that looked good and the flavor was okay. The hummus and tzatziki was so runny. I'm from Michigan, and the majority if not all, the population in Dearborn and surrounding areas are from the middle east, so there are great restaurants, so I've tried awesome Mediterranean food and this was sadly not one of them. We were told that the hummus came with two pitas, when we got our bill we were charged for the two pitas, when I asked the waitress about it, she said that the hummus is eaten by itself... I've always been served a basket of pita at other places. Very disappointing, however the owner couldn't have been any sweeter. I had high hopes because of the reviews, I won't be returning.

    This establishment is a cafeteria. It is clean. Service is friendly. The food is just all right. The following was ordered: Appetiser sampler platter was so so. I do not like cold stuffed grape leaves. Lemony hummus lacked nutty taste of chickpeas and creaminess of tahini paste. Baba Ganoush was a bit lumpy for my liking. A pronounced bitterness from aubergines was not balanced by lemons, salt or tahini paste. Tzatzki was watery. Hot Chicken Kabob was mediocre, to say the least. Boneless chicken breast used was dry and thready. Pita bread was not warm and pliable, but rather stale. 3 orphaned pieces of grilled vegetables were great though. Combo Kabob Special was nice. Lamb Kabobs were soft. Rice was perfectly cooked. 2 Kid's Chicken Kabob on a Stick were all right. I am going to reserve my judgement on Kabob Int'l this time. In future, I am planning to try dishes with rice.

    I was surprised by this place. When I first saw this place from the outside I figured it was going to be more of a diner with gyros and not much else. Boy was I wrong. It's a very nice and clean place. The atmosphere is also very pleasant. I had no problems with my waitress who was very nice and understanding about my crying baby and allowed us to switch from sit down to carry out with no complaints. The food was pretty good too. The lamb was tender and very tasty. I do wish that there was a bit more to the platter than just rice and small salad, but it was still very good. I intend to go back sometime very soon.

    The staff here is *so* nice. It is a family operated business, and they love their product. They are eager and more than willing to describe any dish to you and it's just an all around great atmosphere. This is a deli-type place. You order at the counter and they bring you your food. The Greek gyros are very good. The tzatziki sauce is fresh and has a slight lemony taste to it. They have okay hummus (a little garlicky, but I'm not a fan of lots of garlic) and their baklava is yummy! Take a look at their website; they have their full menu on it.

    Wow!!! Talk about a happy accident, we stumbled upon this place and my wife wanted to go but I didn't. I'm not familiar with mediterranean cuisine so it took me a while to decide what to try. I went out of my comfort zone and got the Arabic gyro with lamb. I have never had meat so tender. The sauces were delicious and the pita fresh. To play it safe i also got an order of cheese fries, which also had a unique blend of seasoning. My kid had the chicken kabob and it was awesome. The customer service was TOP notch. The dining room was immaculate. I don't think I've been to a cleaner restaurant. It was very affordable. If your not willing to try new things this place is definitely not for you. If I could complain about one thing, it would be that the tea is Earl Grey (states it clearly on the menu) and I learned that I don't like cold unsweetened Earl Grey, but they promptly replaced it with a diet coke.

    This place is conveniently placed near the Cordova Kroger and behind the Burger King. I was greeted kindly by ta woman and told she would clean the table for me. The buffet seemed nice but could use some more meats on the buffet line. I would say this place is worth trying if you have a urge for decent good lunch.it can be pricey for a appetizer and entree but it's worth it for the most part.

    Automatically fell in love with this place. The great customer service starts immediately as soon as you walk in. The staff is friendly and very helpful. The food is authentic Mediterranean cuisine and it is very delicious. They even have a select few American cuisine items that are tasty. The gyros are huge and filled with flavor and meat.     Terrible service. Food was blah. When we told the waitress that our order was wrong the owner came flying on her broom to the table. She refused to admit the order was wrong and stated that we misunderstood her very vague menu description. We tried to explain that we would pay for a different dish and she asked us to leave and told us that her food is not Arabic food and that it is Persian. Whatever the hell she meant by that. The owner was a racist crazy yelling person. Even the waitress came back to apologize to us. Explaining they had to deal with her mood swings all the time. We left our food on the table and paid the full bill and left a tip out of politeness to the waitress. We won't be coming back.

    Very good food, fresh ingredients. I tried the lamb shank which is amazing, the meet is tender and filled with flavor. The dill rice is excellent. I've tried the lamb trio which was very good. I've been there for three times now and each visit was pleasant. The owner comes to each customer and check if they are satisfied with the food and the service. I wish that they have the traditional Persian stews otherwise it's one of my favorite places to eat. I highly recommend this place.

    I LOVE this place! The owner is such a sweetheart and has served me every time I've gone. She really takes care of her customers and is hilarious! We brought our service animal in with us and after getting past the language barrier, she was very kind and even took our dog's order: "Spicy fries and a hot tea? Coming right up." The atmosphere is very nice with mood lighting and lovely decor. There's even a stage and nice leather couches as you walk in, though I've never had to wait on them. They have wonderful lunch specials, and buffet on Weds. and Friday. Delicious food with lots of options, vegetarian friendly, and spicy or not!

    You absolutely must come and receive the Kabob international experience. The service here phenomenal. Our waiter was the actual owner and the cook is her husband. This is the true definition of a mom-and-pop place however the food was spectacular. I had the New Zealand lamb over Basmati rice. The lamb was so tender you could cut it with a fork. Everything was seasoned to perfection and there was so much that i took quite a bit home and ate the next day. I highly recommend coming here for an international food tasting experience.

    Let me preface this by saying this was our first time here, and D has already decided it's one of his favorite restaurants in the city. There were so many good things about this spot. First, the owner waited on us, and was wonderful. Genuinely nice, and she seemed to care about her customers and how they were liking their food. We started with tabouli salad, which was served with fresh-baked pita bread. (The bread alone is worth a star in this review!) D had a gyro, which he loved, and I had mixed kabobs which chicken souvlaki (SO GOOD) and another beef kabob that was kind of like hamburger. Mine was served over rice, that was a little bland, but a nice contrast against the spices on the meat, and a small salad with an amazing dressing in it. We got more fresh bread and the best tzatziki sauce I've ever had. I rounded out my meal with a piece of pistachio baklava. It was also delicious! We've already planned to take some friends there next week, so I might get a chance to update my review!

    Alright, so I wanted to wait a while before I write a review just to see if the impression fades....it did not! The place is out a ways for me, but we were out here and I'd already heard good things about this place from my fellows. The owners are part-Persian and did a great job covering cuisines from most Middle Eastern countries. The Kabobs are divine...any and all of them!!! They have several Gyro (pronounced yee-roo) styles to suit most palates and the portions are varied from small to ginormous (yes, I did just write ginormous). The taste is great: perfectly seasoned, cooked and prepared (as in, they didn't screw it up by adding the wrong ingredients). Everything we tried on the menu, and we tried so much, was great. My only complaint is maybe that it's a bit pricey but honestly it's worth it. The service there is fantastic and the owner is adorable! She kept on sneaking up on us to check that everything was up to par! Definitely going back!

    This place is really nice. We had three employees checking on us the entire time. They make you seem right at home. No wait on seating and the food took only 10-15 minutes. I had a duet with chicken and beef served over rice. It was very tasty. Definitely recommend it!

    I ordered the Chicken Shwarma. The last time I had one was at a Donnar Kebob stand in Italy. It was the highlight of my trip which says a lot because I was in Rome, a food mecca. To say I was disappointed at Kabob International is an understatement. My chicken was so dry I could barely eat it. I think it needed a lot more sauce and vegetables. If I remember in Italy mine had some great red sauce on it. I gave it two stars only because the owners were nice, even though I had to go up to the register to pay the bill because no one brought me mine.

    This review is based on my first visit here. I definitely will return. I had a traditional Gyro and it was one of the best Ive had in town. I was trying to find a good place close to home and after reading the reviews decided to try them out. Im glad I did. My biggest applause is the friendliness of the staff. Also,they have a great variety of Gyro flavors I want to try.

    This restaurant is located in a strip center on the Northeast corner of Dexter Rd. and Gemantown Pkwy. We arrived and were seated quickly. Our server took a drink orders and brought them promptly. She then wanted to help us order. I didn't really want help, but played along. It turns out out server was the owner. She was really helpful and everything sounded good. Being a Chicagoan from the Greek town area, I went with the Gyro plate. I was not disappointed! We started with a Humus and Pita chip appetizer and the humus was some of the best I have ever tasted. The sandwich was delicious. The lamb was crispy and seasoned perfectly. The sauce was creamy and good. I would have preferred it a bit thicker but the flavor was huge! The fries it came with were good. We ordered 1 baklava to split because I had to know if it was good. It was. The pistachio version that I favor versus the walnut kind. It was gooey and flaky and just downright old country. The restaurant itself is cute. For whatever reason, it has a light decorated tree in the middle of it. There is also a very cool outdoor patio. They have live music on the weekends. We spoke with the owner for a bit after we ate and found out all her dishes and sauces are made by her from scratch. Even the yogurt. Was this the best Greek food I had ever had? No but it was the best in Memphis, and we tried many places. They serve a full bar. Bottom Line: Great Service Great Food Good Prices Good Portions

    Living in Memphis, there are plenty of other places to get Mediterranean food and from now on, I will go somewhere else. We were seated and then the local deputies came in and the woman hostess, I guess owner tells them she was sorry she gave us "their table. Needless to say, it made us feel awkward. Should we get up? They had a lunch board but it was covered up. I asked if they had any lunch specials and the waiter acted annoyed he had to go uncover the board. I still could only see one thing when there was more on there so we just ordered the gyro lunch plate. The Gyro was rather small compared to other places but it was not expensive. Getting drink refills seemed like a bother to our server and we honestly felt not welcome. It is too bad as I love Gyros and Mediterranean food and its right down the street from me.

    I have started to dislike this place. I always order the Mexican gyro with pico, avocado and onion. It doesn't come with lettuce, pickle or banana peppers but unless I tell them DONT put it then they will. I called the owner to voice my concern and upset feelings. Instead of apologizing and/or offering to make up for it, she goes into all these lame excuses. She goes on to tell me that I have to tell them not to put it because they don't know what customers want because each customer wants something different. Well IF YOU TELL ME THAT THESE ITEMS DONT COME ON then why in the heck do I have to tell you not to put items on it that shouldn't be. She would barely let me speak, speaking over me. Just a disaster. I love the food but doubt I'll be eating there again. Guess it's time to find a new spot. Long story short, customer service sucks. Don't expect them to own up to their mistakes or apologize.

    This little gem of a restaurant is one you have to visit! The lamb is as tender as you could ask for. All ingredients are super fresh with a wide variety of sandwiches, dinners and fresh-baked baklava. The owners are always present and personally greet everyone as family.

    I somehow managed to make my visit to Kabob International when there were no other customers there, which made the night a little more interesting! After making sure they weren't about to close, I sat down to some really good Mediterranean food! Also, they have a space for live music, which sounds awesome!     Great Gyros Having Lunch with Family from Virginia, every one Had Great time, enjoyed the Hot fries, Gyro Pita, can't have the 6 inches, gotta have 9 inch, Pita is freshly made daily, The Persian tea was great, had Hot Tea, cucumber sauce is great with the side dish of pita slice breads. Owners are Service minded, servers we're very attentive, Atmosphere Casual. Will definitely go back!!!!

    I went here quite sometime back with a friend. The place is fine - clean, neat - and we were greeted at the door by a lady who identified herself as the owner, was very cordial and took our order. Seemed like a good start. I ordered a small beef gyro, she ordered a small beef kabob, and we got hummus with pita bread. The total for those 3 items plus 2 drinks was a little less than $18.00 on the menu. She brought us the hummus and pita bread, which was runny and stale, respectively, so we ate very little. When we finally got our food 45 minutes later (it was us and one other table in the restaurant), I was served a small lamb gyro and she a large beef gyro. When I pointed out the error to the server/purported owner, she became angry and told us we had told her wrong, showing us an illegible ticket as purported proof. My friend decided she did not want to argue the matter so I dropped it. The server never returned to the table. My lamb gyro was pretty good actually, but my friend's beef was so overdone and rubbery she couldn't chew it. I couldn't get fork tongs to penetrate the exterior to even attempt to cut it. Against my friend's protestations, I pointed this out to the purported owner, at which point she told me that's how Mediterranean beef is made and if we didn't know we shouldn't have ordered that. I've been eating gyros for 20 years, so I definitely know better. I was furious at this point, but I calmly asked for at least a refill on our drinks. She shook her head, walked away into a back room and didn't come back for several minutes. I told my friend we should just go. So I went to the counter to pay and at first she was very apologetic that we hadn't eaten it all and offered to 'give us' a couple of baklava as a way to make up for it. I accepted and she rang it up - the total came to $35! I asked her why - she had charged us 50 cents for every triangle of pita bread, plus charged for a 'jumbo' gyro that my friend couldn't eat, plus charged for the baklava she had said she would 'give us'. I told her that I didn't want them then and she made a huge deal about taking them off the total, yelling in another language. It still came out to $30. I didn't tip and she asked me why. Seriously? I'll never be back and I warn anyone who asks about this place. Maybe the person working that day was just having a bad day, but that's one of the worst dining experiences I've had.

    What a pleasant surprise! I enjoyed the Kabob Duet 2 on a bed of rice. Everything was seasoned beautifully! I ordered take out but next time I will definitely eat in. Nicely decorated, relaxing, and quiet during Monday lunch time.

    I LOVE coming here. The staff is extremely welcoming every time and the food is EPIC! The first time I came here, I got the lamb shank. Can you say fall off the bone tender? The gyros are stellar!!! Wednesdays and Fridays they have a lunch buffet. Can't go wrong with that. Well priced, too. Their bread pudding is thebomb.com/awesome ! And I've had both kinds of baklava. You'll be happy with either. I don't think there's anything you wouldn't be happy about getting.

    Kabob International is going to have to step their game up now that Casablanca opened a second location across the street. This was a seriously disappointing experience for me. I had heard rave reviews about this spot, and I love me some Greek and Mediterranean food. I was even more excited when I saw it was a little dive in a strip mall- I've found some of my favorite foods in dive-y strip malls. This spot, sadly is not one of them. I got my order to go- a sampler which consists of grape leaves, tabbouleh, hummus and baba ganoush and a combo kabob special plate which was lamb, chicken and beef on basmati rice. You can't have Greek without partaking in some baklava, so I added that as well. The total on this was $33 dollars, so one would assume it would be more than enough to share. It was meant to be dinner for my husband and I, but when we opened the containers at home we were sorely disappointed. The $8.99 sampler platter consisted of 2 grape leaves, 3 tablespoons each of hummus and baba ganoush and the saddest looking tabbouleh salad I'd ever laid eyes on. The hummus and baba ganoush were swimming in oil- literally. There was a layer of it on top. I didn't even touch it. I very rarely refuse to even try food, but this was disgusting. The combo platter was one piece each of lamb, chicken and beef- all extremely dry and on top of some very dry rice. The baklava was the only saving grace of the meal, but again it was cut so small it was only a bite. I feel like I have to cut them some slack because I did take the order to go. I hate doing that because I feel as a restaurant owner, if your food doesn't travel well you shouldn't offer to-go as an option. I also know that taking these items to-go wasn't what made them so bad. It was horribly overpriced for the portion sizes and the food was pretty awful. My advice? Skip this place all together and go to Casablanca. Their food is amazing and puts this joint to shame.

    Yum! Everything here is homemade and fresh. They have lots to choose from (lots of kabobs and gyros along with other dishes like souvlaki) but I always get a gyro. Beware, when you first get one you may think it's not enough food. I guarantee though you'll be struggling to finish it! I can only eat the regular sized gyro; I can't imagine attempting the mega size (9") unless I wasn't getting fries with it or was sharing with someone. Their tzatziki sauce is delicious, though if you're not sure about trying it you can get a slightly less authentic gyro with barbecue sauce, ranch dressing, or other sauces. Be warned though, their tea (either iced or hot) is Earl Grey, so it's not what you'd get elsewhere. It's the only downside for me as I hate Earl Grey tea, but it's a small concession to make since the food is so delicious. The service is incredibly friendly, and if you're a newbie to Mediterranean cuisine (as some of my buddies going with me have been), they graciously explain what goes in any dish or what something is.

    If you're going to eat at a restaurant called Kabob International, you should probably order a kabob, even if the gyros sound really good. The owners must believe in their kabobs, because they didn't name the restaurant Gyro International. There are a few different kabob combos available, but I went with the first one (partially because the restaurant review that's printed on the menu said it was good): chicken and Skokie beef, available in kabob, pita or plate format. I went with the plate, which meant that the meat was served stick-less on a bed of aromatic rice. Grilled chicken seems like it should be an easy thing to get right, but that's not true. Too many times, grilled chicken comes out dry and sad. Not so at Kabob International. The chicken was moist and tender, but with just a tiny bit of grilled crunch on the edges. This is easily the best grilled chicken I've had since Stickem Truck. The beef was ground beef, shaped into a log. Like the chicken, it was juicy and fall-apart tender. The meat, and thus, the rice underneath it, came topped with a mustard-based sauce. None of the food was spicy, but it is very well seasoned, so if that's not your thing, you might want to skip Kabob International. Wash it down with: the sweet iced Earl Grey tea. Imagine if your super southern grandma (you know, the one who puts a whole cup of sugar into her pots of tea) was from the Middle East. That's what this tastes like. Be sure to say hi to: the very friendly staff, including the owner, who came over and chatted with me when she saw that I was getting a to-go box. (I think she was worried that I didn't get enough to eat. Not the case, as the portions are generous, I just wanted some for later.)

The waitstaff are on top of their game and very friendly especially the owners! Not sure what the female owners name is but she is very very sweet and always exceptionally friendly!!!!     Located in a strip mall in Cordova, directly off of Germantown Parkway, which is very easy to get to. The owner just upgraded her location by probably tripling the size of her restaurant and has applied for her license to serve wine and beer. I love Mediterranean food and I have always been pleased with this restaurant. The meals consist of lean cuts of lamb and chicken that are often drizzled with very flavorful garlic, mustard, and tzatziki sauces. One of my favorites is the Mediterranean salad with lamb gyro and chicken kabob. It is the perfect combination of meat, vegetables, feta cheese, and garlic sauce! Also you can never go wrong with the Dolma (stuffed grape leaves)! Give this place a try...you and the owner will be happy.

    I had the lamb shank with dill rice. Excellent dinner. For lunch I would suggest their gyros which possibly are the best in memphis! I also had the opportunity to taste their chicken kabobs and they were excellent as well, although I'm personally more of a lamb person.

    I too have been a victim of the "space out waitress" mentioned by another reviewer. Thankfully, she was not our primary server! My wife and I had the sampler plate. I did not enjoy it, though I might have if the server had explained it to us more. I also made the mistake of getting the platter instead of just a plain Gyro. It was ok, but I wish I would have just gotten a Gyro, as they just dump meat on top of lackluster rice with the platter. My wife said the food was better before the remodeling this business recently performed. If I were to give a tip, it would be to really, really beg the waitress to explain what you're ordering.

    I was surprised by this place. When I first saw this place from the outside I figured it was going to be more of a diner with gyros and not much else. Boy was I wrong. It's a very nice and clean place. The atmosphere is also very pleasant. I had no problems with my waitress who was very nice and understanding about my crying baby and allowed us to switch from sit down to carry out with no complaints. The food was pretty good too. The lamb was tender and very tasty. I do wish that there was a bit more to the platter than just rice and small salad, but it was still very good. I intend to go back sometime very soon.

    I'm a terrible decision maker. I can never figure out what I want to do. In fact, I decided where to go to college by flipping a coin. And to this day, that is the preferred method of decision making for me. Usually, the coin flip works out for me. In this particular circumstance, it didn't. My girlfriend and I were in the Cordova area, and had a hankering for Mexican food. I was looking for La Hacienda, but ended up turning the wrong way on Dexter. We stumbled upon Kabob International, and since my mom had spoken so highly of it, and the coin confirmed, we decided to give it a try. The shop is located in the strip mall at Dexter and Germantown and is maybe one of the cleanest restaurants I have been in. There is no flair on the walls, the floors are polished wood, and everything is clean and sanitary. We were seated and had a waitress at our table almost immediately. We ordered the appetizer sampler, and when the food arrived, any idea we had of having a delicious meal was shattered. The food was served on a plastic plate, which seems confusing since most of the restaurant was exuding a classier vibe. That wasn't the most disappointing part. The sampler they served was awful. It came with (forgive my spelling) baba ganosh, humus, and doma. The baba ganosh was tasty, but the hummus was runny and about as oily as a 14-year-old's forehead. I couldn't even finish the doma. The only good part of the appetizer was the pita bread (which you only get one piece, quartered). Worst of all, none of the staff seemed to be willing to explain the dishes or the customary way to eat them. When they cleared away that train wreck, I was ready for a gyro. I asked the spaced-out looking waitress if the the gyro plat came with fries, since on the menu, there is a giant picture of a gyro on a plate with fries above the words "gyro plate." The waitress stuttered her way through the explanation that it came with rice and a salad. You can imagine my surprise when the waitress dropped off my plate with four slices of lamb over some rice. I wanted to scream. I wanted to shout. I wanted to shake the waitress until her eyes focused and her mouth closed and she resembled a regular person as opposed to a drug addict watching the Big Lebowski. I didn't do any of that. Instead, I gamely swallowed the woefully inadequate portion ( for 9.99 i was expecting more than 3 lettuce leaves, a scoop of rice and a couple of skewers of lamb). The only redeeming part of the meal, the pita bread, wasn't even included!! The waitress, probably rushing into the back to get her next fix, dropped off our check and never returned. After 15 minutes elapsed we finally realized that no one was coming to collect the check and decided to go up front to pay. The owner was at the register and bombarded us with so many questions, that I didn't even realize i left a 30 percent tip on a bill that was almost thirty dollars until it was too late. I think I'll take a note from our waitress and never return.

    It's tough having them so close to Casablanca. Both are excellent. I really enjoy the Persian flair to Kabob and their good has always been excellent. The owner has always made it a point to say hello and make sure everything was good whenever I've been in there which I greatly appreciate. I really like their gyro, worth a trip and a try!

    My wife and I have been enjoying Kabob International (aka Little Persian) for years. If only there were a six-star rating! These delicious and authentic meals can't be found anywhere else in the area - we've tried other places! The recipes for the sauces and meats are exactly like the owner's mother used to make. The chefs are so flexible that they can even customize these incredibly appetizing plates to your tastes - I love the tzatziki sauce, but my wife prefers to replace it with their secret-recipe yellow sauce. Both are intensely flavorful. I'm looking forward to their move to the larger place next door in the next couple of weeks; it'll give me more room to bring my friends to this friendly, scrumptious restaurant. Cordova is blessed that these folks have chosen to share their culinary heritage with us.

    Sunday buffet is wayyyyy overpriced at $14 per person for lunch- thin & runny hummus and tzadziki (sp?) sauce - dry store bought pitas - petrified french fries...rice and cous-cous were good....chicken and gyro meat ok....salad not "greek" enough (no feta) but fresh.

    Great food! Great owner! I don't know why other people are saying it was super expensive. Four person meal for us was very reasonable. I would just suggest asking for them to cook you whatever they think is best. Also, added bonus got to see Grizzlies player Hammed Haddadi.

The manager is very warm and inviting. She even remembers me every time I come in to eat. I like the new location too. Highly recommend this place.

    the food is always fresh! interesting things you won't find other places in memphis - homemade souvlaki sauce, fresh gyros. lamb shanks, chicken every day.....fresh bread...tea with interesting flavor!! i can count on the great consistency and flavor - never has disappointed and always something interesting on the menu. the owners are open and friendly and aim to please fresh dessert every day!! baclava!! go and you won't be disappointed - they are soon to move to a new larger place!!

    I've only been here once, when I was running errands and wanted something other than fast food. While I am *not* a fan of lamb (seriously, eating baby animals, what?), I do love grilled veggies and was pleased with a grilled Armenian veggie kabob, with zucchini, grilled peppers, mushrooms, and onions. Overall, pretty good.

    A coworker of mine highly recommended this place for Greek food. So this past Saturday I checked it out along with my brother. We asked at the front counter if their will be a someone to serve us? The lady at the counter responds "we are too busy to take your orders from the tables". As if though the place was full. Keep in mind the tables are less than 5 steps from the counter. The menu can be misleading and puzzling, e.g., I ordered the gyro value meal but the only thing that comes with this "value" meal is the gyro it self. Fries and a drink are separate. We sat in the corner and waited approximately 25 minutes for our food to finally arrive. The food is ok, nothing spectacular. I'm use to gyro's made with piles of lamb meat falling off the pita bread, kind of stingy with the meat if you ask me. I paid for my brother who ate the same thing, the bill came out to $24.05 (2 gyro's, 2 fries and 2 soft drinks). Overall I'm not impressed and will not be a returning customer. Stick a fork in it.

    I first discovered Kabob International about four years ago when I moved to an apartment complex nearby. I was hooked at first bite. The food is fresh, the service is friendly, and though the prices are a bit steep compared to other Mediterranean restaurants, it was always worth it to me. Then I...stopped going. I discovered the (now sadly closed) Mount Olive nearby and started going there. The prices were a lot better, and I developed a real rapport with that owner. After Mount Olive closed, I wasn't living nearby anymore, so I switched my loyalties to the (once great and now icky) Zaytoon. See my Zaytoon review for more information. Anyway, fast forward some time and one night, husband and I were jonesing for some Mediterranean food. With Mount Olive gone and Zaytoon a shell of itself, we were trying to think of where to go. Kabob International popped into my head. So we called, placed our order (chicken kabob for him, Mediterranean appetizer sampler for me)...and very quickly we were eating VERY delicious food. My husband raves about the chicken kabob plate -- marinated chicken served on top of rice with a small salad. My Mediterranean appetizer sampler is packed full of hummus, baba ghanoush, tabbouleh and stuffed grape leaves. All fresh and delightful. It's a small place, but cozy and nicely decorated. The service is always friendly. They CAN get a bit backed up on take-out orders, especially during peak times, but nothing too terrible and they're very good about letting you know over the phone when they're really busy. The prices still are a bit expensive, compared to the portions, but the food is so fresh and wonderful that it's a great trade-off. Their take-out orders are well packaged (though all styrofoam, if that bothers you). An excellent place. Give it a try!

    We started with the hummus, I ordered the chicken gyro, which was dry, bland and unappealing and my sister had the beef and chicken platter, that looked good and the flavor was okay. The hummus and tzatziki was so runny. I'm from Michigan, and the majority if not all, the population in Dearborn and surrounding areas are from the middle east, so there are great restaurants, so I've tried awesome Mediterranean food and this was sadly not one of them. We were told that the hummus came with two pitas, when we got our bill we were charged for the two pitas, when I asked the waitress about it, she said that the hummus is eaten by itself... I've always been served a basket of pita at other places. Very disappointing, however the owner couldn't have been any sweeter. I had high hopes because of the reviews, I won't be returning.

    This establishment is a cafeteria. It is clean. Service is friendly. The food is just all right. The following was ordered: Appetiser sampler platter was so so. I do not like cold stuffed grape leaves. Lemony hummus lacked nutty taste of chickpeas and creaminess of tahini paste. Baba Ganoush was a bit lumpy for my liking. A pronounced bitterness from aubergines was not balanced by lemons, salt or tahini paste. Tzatzki was watery. Hot Chicken Kabob was mediocre, to say the least. Boneless chicken breast used was dry and thready. Pita bread was not warm and pliable, but rather stale. 3 orphaned pieces of grilled vegetables were great though. Combo Kabob Special was nice. Lamb Kabobs were soft. Rice was perfectly cooked. 2 Kid's Chicken Kabob on a Stick were all right. I am going to reserve my judgement on Kabob Int'l this time. In future, I am planning to try dishes with rice.

    Best gyros/kebabs in Memphis. Get the mega, it's worth it! A family restaurant that offers great service, great dolmas, and fresh ingredients. It's in Cordova so it's a bit of a drive but more than worth it for great kebabs at a great price.

    I went here a few months back on a recommendation. Glad I did. It is a small mom-n-pop deli type place. The atmosphere is calm and cozy. The owners treat you like family. I got a traditional gyro and was so impressed I took one home for my wife and she loved it too(she won't eat lamb so I got her beef). We went back and I got the 9 inch and it seemed to lose some personality. I'll stick with the regular, the hummus was great, I love garlic. Baklava was not my favorite but that is because of my taste prefence, it was made very well. The flavors of the gyro blend well together and the lamb is so friggin good. The kid had chicken wrapped in pita and she gobbled it up. It is, in my experience, the best gyro I have had. Will post more as I try other things.

    Fantastic place. The owner always greets us with a smile and is prompt with her service. The food is great, a little expensive but I tend to think it's worth it. Don't miss the spicy fries, Euro Gryo, and what may be the best sweet tea on the planet. I go at least once a week.

    The staff here is *so* nice. It is a family operated business, and they love their product. They are eager and more than willing to describe any dish to you and it's just an all around great atmosphere. This is a deli-type place. You order at the counter and they bring you your food. The Greek gyros are very good. The tzatziki sauce is fresh and has a slight lemony taste to it. They have okay hummus (a little garlicky, but I'm not a fan of lots of garlic) and their baklava is yummy! Take a look at their website; they have their full menu on it.

    Wow!!! Talk about a happy accident, we stumbled upon this place and my wife wanted to go but I didn't. I'm not familiar with mediterranean cuisine so it took me a while to decide what to try. I went out of my comfort zone and got the Arabic gyro with lamb. I have never had meat so tender. The sauces were delicious and the pita fresh. To play it safe i also got an order of cheese fries, which also had a unique blend of seasoning. My kid had the chicken kabob and it was awesome. The customer service was TOP notch. The dining room was immaculate. I don't think I've been to a cleaner restaurant. It was very affordable. If your not willing to try new things this place is definitely not for you. If I could complain about one thing, it would be that the tea is Earl Grey (states it clearly on the menu) and I learned that I don't like cold unsweetened Earl Grey, but they promptly replaced it with a diet coke.

    This restaurant is clean, reasonably priced, has friendly and helpful service, along with great food. I don't visit Memphis very often, but I would probably visit this restaurant again when I do. The lamb and beef gyros are very good.

    Amazing food at lunch. I look forward to trying their dinner entrees. The orders were mixed up a bit when they delivered the food, but they were jovial & apologetic about it all. The spicy fries were HOT! Do not order of you don't like burning tonsils. I prefere the Persian sauce, my wife likes the cucumber sauce.

    Kabob Int'l is a wonderful place to experiment with the Persian menu. The owners and their new, enlarged staff are very helpful in explaining the subtle variances of their homemade sauces. You'll enjoy any of the kabobs or gyros but once you find just the right combo - you're hooked! Don't forget the baklava - it's very good too.

    When you are at Kebob, you are family. I love this place and although I am not a hummus fan their soups are amazing as are the dolma. The gyros are phenomenal and the yellow Persian sauce blew my mind. Go there and be blown away (try the lamb it's awesome)

    Was looking for something different while in town. The smells when I walked in were fabulous. The staff were very nice and helpful. I had the combo kabob plate. The amount of food was just right & the flavor was great. I'll come back next time I'm in town.
