4 of us tried all 5 of the available desserts. WOW! Beautiful presentation and tasted as good as they looked! Definitely coming back for dinner.

This place is quite great. The staff was great and the food was truly amazing. I could go on and on about the sweet skillet corn, the beef medallion and the homemade steak sauce. I hope to return when I'm in the area again.

Had occasion to stop here on the way from Nashville to Atlanta. The slight detour was well worth it! It is rare, almost unheard of to find a menu in which I would want to try every single thing on it. The only difficult part of my experience was deciding what to pick! I started with a great version of a Moscow Mule and stuffed jalapeños wrapped in bacon. Bacon! I moved on to a well manicured salad and the pork loin. (about as big and thick as a chop) with a great red wine that unfortunately I can't remember the name. Everything was local fresh, and prepared with obvious care. The staff couldn't have been more welcoming and attentive. Fine dining with local authenticity. This little gem is worth seeking out.

I had the pleasure of having dinner here on a Saturday night and Easter Sunday Brunch as well. I was NOT disappointed on either occasion! In fact, my expectations were exceeded in every single aspect. The staff was more than friendly and was very helpful and knowledgeable about the menu. Nick and Justin behind the bar did a great job of engaging their guests. I always find this important when dining at the bar. I can't stand it when bartenders don't continually engage their guests while continuing to do their job of making drinks. It is a valued skill that these guys have mastered! I have traveled the world and eaten at some of the finest restaurants in existence. It is not possible that food gets much better than the product being produced at Terra Mae. The food here rivals even the best found in much larger culinary markets like LA, NYC, Chicago and even San Francisco. It is worth a special trip to this charming southern city just to dine at this gem and a few others I encountered during my weekend. I will definitely be back soon and recommend others as well!

Fantastic restaurant located in downtown Chattanooga, attached to the Stonefort Inn. I dined at Terra Mae with a friend and had a wonderful experience. The waiter was very knowledgeable, providing excellent recommendations from the drinks to the dinner and dessert. The cocktail menu is extremely unique, specially designed by the restaurant's bartender. Both of the cocktails I tried were eclectic and delicious! I started off with the fantastic New Ambrosia Salad, topped with fresh fruit, goat cheese and a to-die-for brown butter pecan vinaigrette. For my entree I had the halibut, which was perfectly cooked in a light cream sauce with seasonal vegetables. We ended the meal perfectly with a decadent, crispy bread pudding. Overall, the experience at Terra Mae was fantastic and one to be repeated in the near future!

Just had cocktails and a bar snack. My husband had an old fashioned and he said it was one of the best he's ever had. I had a vodka martini and it was good as well. We had the kettle corn and nuts (spicy peanuts and a smoky diced walnut). We'll definitely be back and try their dinner menu next time.

We went here for Sunday brunch while visiting from out of town. We made a reservation just in case but there was no wait. We ordered the donuts with dipping sauce as a starter (the caramel was delicious). The shrimp and grits and osso bucco were wonderful. They also offer $ 10 bottomless mimosas. Definitely recommend Terra Mae.

by far my favorite dining experience in chattanooga. when i know we're visiting, i immediately make a reservation at terra mae. the staff is easily the best in town, the ambiance is spot-on for an uppier-scalier (technical term) southern restaurant, and the food and drinks are always, always on point. it's relaxed, fancy, sophisticated, rustic-ish, modern, and never trying-to-hard all at once. they cracked the exact right code for just a nice restaurant experience. the best.

You cannot find a finer spot in Chattanooga. The restaurant is housed within a 100 plus year old inn. It's beautiful. The food is amazing. Chef Shelley has created a fine dining experience that rivals big cities. The cocktails are so delish too. Great hand-crafted cocktails. The rooms are so inviting you just want to curl up on the couches and enjoy the fireplace. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place to anyone.

I fell for one of the oldest tricks in the book: Calling something a bistro so that you can charge three times as much for the food as you normally would. Don't get me wrong: The venue was beautiful. The wine rack was beautiful. The food was beautiful. Individuals with an overdeveloped sense of sight and no real taste differentiation should absolutely consider this as a hot spot. However, as someone who was hoping for more of a culinary than a visual feast, I was rather disappointed. It is my understanding that $36 bacon-wrapped scallops should feature sizzling, perfectly-crispy bacon wrapped around fresh, lightly seasoned scallops. However, Terramae's understanding seemed to be that at least three quarters of that $36 should go towards purchasing salt for the dish, which seemed to be designed to cover up the fishy taste of the scallops (and not the good kind of fishy, where fish tastes like delicious cold-water fish, but rather the kind where it tastes as though the fish has been raised off the shores of New Jersey and too frequently visits the underwater radioactive tanning bed). My mother's steak was also buried under a mound of salt sufficient to de-ice the streets of Nashville during this current winter blizzard. The food was not horrible--it was fine. However, for the price it cost, I expected a whole lot more than a pretty environment and some salt.

Another case where a 4.5 would have been granted if Yelp would improve what is otherwise a great app by allowing for ratings by the 1/2 star. It is better than a 4. I had the surf and swine...superb, a great mix of textures and rich flavors. I had the lamb and paired with a Merlot. The coctails were great. well crafted, good ingredients, subtle. The decor is modern but uses classic materials, so it gets this kind of rustic art deco look if that makes any sense.

Omg! That's all I could say the food at this place was amazing. The drinks were good crafted and good price. But what I remember is my scallops the were amazing along with the fried bread pudding it was out of this world. However, that day they had a big party and not enough help on the floor but at any moment we felt neglected the server just looked rushed but he made sure he was always attentive and we appreciated he told us the big party had booked at 5 pm and it was 18 of them so we understood. Place is chic and very pretty with a southern flair.

Beautiful space. Delicious brunch! The chicken and waffles are to die for. The scallop dish, hash and omelette special were also devine. Did I mention $10 bottomless Mimosas?! And our waiter Nicholas was a attentive and energetic. The only con was the coffee was weak, which is unexpected for a brunch place and the shrimp and grits were cryptic on the menu. Overall awesome experience!!

This was an delicious Easter brunch. We enjoyed the biscuits and cornbread, followed by dill deviled eggs. My third course was a delicious blue crab bisque. my main course included top sirloin that was really good, but it seemed more like a slice of roast beef. It was finished with a strawberry shortcake that was made out of a nice sweet biscuit like cake. I would like to try this place for dinner to get a better feel of there food. The brunch was very good and the service was good, not amazing. The service made me subtract a star on the rating. I thought our server could have been more attentive and a bit more engaging. A friend did warn me that they call this place "terriblemae" due to the service. Terra Mae is a nice fine dining experience and I would suggest this for a romantic dinner or special occasion.

The challenge with being single is that often, I never make it past the bar in a place like this because it has everything a single guy could want - quick service (bartender is right there), immediate access to a convivial beverage of one's choice and yep, you can eat right at the bar. Someday I hope to see the rest of the bistro but for this first visit, I was more than happy to hang out in the spirits soaked access point to the rest of the establishment. I specifically came here to to try the Appalachian sampler platter, which had everything needed to set a Southern boy's heart aflutter, even one that has not lived anywhere close to the South for some time - rosemary country biscuits, slices of salty Southern ham, pickled shrimp, deviled eggs, homemade pimento cheese (nice and spicy) and just because it's a Southern sampler, some thick sliced bacon, dusted with brown sugar and sesame seed and cooked into slices of sweet, salty, smokey pork heaven - mmmm, good! In addition, had a local cocktail, the Red Butler - a nice "Gone with the Wind" homage, and a second one I shouldn't have had, and it was also good - about the time I was leaving the regular Sunday brunch bar crowd was coming in and talking about having the boat fueled up for later and for better or worse, I knew I was in a little bit of Southern heaven. if you are coming to Chattanooga for the first time - put this place on your must eat at list, definitely worth it.

So disappointing! We went there this past week to celebrate a couple friends birthdays and everyone wanted to try this place. Service was very slow. The menu is very small with only five items. It appears to change often but in this night four out of five items were fish and then a filet. If you don't like fish don't go. Two of us ordered the salmon stressing several times that we wanted it cooked through. Of course it came raw. So the two of us waited while everyone else ate and our fish was zapped in the microwave I think. The prices are OUTRAGEOUS for what u get. Nothing was offered for the mistake...thought maybe they would give us a cookie with a candle for the Birthdays or something!! Will not return and we are five couples who eat out often and don't mind paying for a great meal when we get it!!

Great food, staff, and atmosphere. We dined here for a graduation dinner and everyone had the best time. I ordered the salmon, a favorite of mine, and it was beyond anything I expected it to be. Cooked to perfection on a bed on mustard seed asparagus. Our server was very knowledgable of the food and details and very personable with his guests. The ambiance of the bar and private dining rooms makes you feel right at home. Be sure to get the appetizer- though it is not enough to feed more than 5-6 people. Call ahead for reservations. I cannot wait to go back!

I liked the decor and the staff were friendly. Our waiter was a bit surly but not rude. But that gave this place a weird vibe for me. The food was good but didn't knock my socks off. I got the risotto balls and the pulled pork appetizer as my meal. My friend got the Appalachian lunchable and the potato soup. Everything was good although the risotto was kind of boring and bland and my friend said that the bacon served with the lunchable was way too sweet. As far as fancy restaurants go, this place was just okay for me.

Do yourself a favor and be sure to make a reservation. The food is creative, original, excellent. The waiters are very nice and knowledgeable. The portions are on the larger side, so it's nice to get a salad and a main course and split if you don't want leftovers.

Beef Wellington was the special today. Best brunch in Chattanooga. Bottomless Mimosas and excellent service. Best bang for your buck assuming you appreciate quality and service. Cheers! Menu changes so much everything is special.. but I almost always get the daily special (off menu).

Celebrated our one year anniversary there. Beautiful restaurant. They had a great vegetarian dish for me, and what my husband has named "the best steak he's ever had." Our server was kind and helpful. For me, I feel that I run into pretentious servers a lot at upscale places like this (or maybe because I feel out of place in general.) This wasn't the case here. They were friendly and welcoming. I ordered their version of the Moscow Mule. It was delicious for sipping through dinner. The Vegetarian Plate had tofu, fried green tomatoes, cauliflower, and mixed vegetables all cooked and seasoned to perfection. It came with a bean and corn salad of some kind. Even the stranger sounded things tasted wonderful. I don't see how you could go wrong. Make a reservation. There was a wait when we went to leave. I wouldn't recommend arriving starved. The food is beautifully put together, and it takes time after you order it. Just sit back and enjoy the atmosphere. Upon leaving, I spotted something about their brunch. It looks like that would be the best thing to try next. I doubt they would do anything less than fabulously.
Amazing desserts . My husband and I were craving something sweet and were staying at the hotel above so stopped by on our way to our room. It was pretty late and there was hardly anyone in there, but the wait staff was courteous abd prompt and the dessert made US very happy that we chose to stop by. Sooo good

Excellent service and outstanding food! My husband and I stayed at the Stonefort Inn which is upstairs from Terra Mae. Our breakfast each morning was included and taken within Terra Mae. However we decided to try out dinner one of the evenings of our stay. We managed to reserve a table through Open Table the same day. Our server was great with his recommendations and I just can't stress enough how enjoyable our food was. Next time we come to Chattanooga, we will be not only stay at the Stonefort Inn again but also dining at Terra Mae as well!

My favorite restaurant in Chattanooga! Much of the staff is from Oregon (hence why it is so good and unique). I have been staying at the Stonefort Inn, attached to the restaurant, for several weeks and the decor of the restaurant was enough to make me want to eat there. We quickly found out, once having been seated, that everything was made in the house and they had an excellent variety of seafood. I ordered the softshell crab, which was divine, a berry salad (pretty sure there was brown butter in the dressing but so good), rosemary biscuits and we shared the bread pudding. It was all so good - service, food, cocktails, top notch.
I hope for the owners sake that my dining experience last night was an exception. The service was very poor - we waited 45 minutes for our food, bread was not brought out despite several request until the meals arrived, and I had to send back my dish as both the vegetables and grit cake were ice cold. My husband and I spent over $100 to be seated in the "over flow" dining area, receive poor service and eat mediocre food - again, hopefully not the norm!

Beautiful restaurant and the food is some of the best in Chattanooga, probably top 3. We've found the service to be a bit off, it's a little too casual for what you expect. I don't know if that's staff, culture, or just the speed of things, but that's where they can stand to improve. I will say that the floor manager we met with one night when they ran out of an item we had ordered was lovely, so it's not "bad" per se, just needs to be classed up a bit for the place. Menu is limited in a good way, doesn't overwhelm you with too many options, it feels well curated, fresh, and thoughtful. Not one things has been below par here, the food is excellent. Bar is good and well-stocked. Overall, if you're below 8th street and don't want to make the walk to Easy (which is better IMO), then Terra Mae is the best dining you'll find in downtown Chattanooga.

This place was great. For us, it was a stop for lunch on a Sunday drive from Atlanta to Nashville. With few options available on a Sunday, TerraMae's really hit it out of the park. Being from Seattle area, we wanted to try some authentic flavors of the South, and yet appreciated the fresh, local and intentional sourcing of ingredients. The Sweet Tea brined Chicken + Waffles were stunning. Our server and service was great.

Had dinner here on a fast overnight trip from the ATL. We had hit a Hotwire home run with a great room for only $55 at the Sheraton Read House and then read up a bit and decided to try this gem of a restaurant. Great service, great food, great atmosphere. My sweetie was thoroughly tickled with her red snapper and I plowed my way through a delicious plate of beef cheek. Wonderful cocktails, too.

Classic. Andrea Costa paintings on the walls. We have one of hers hanging over our fireplace. That impressed me on walking in. Great service. Excellent and creative menu. We both has scallops wrapped in country ham. With grits. Sounds southern but was a bit more than that. As good as it gets.

Went for lunch with a friend. He had the BLT and I had a harvest salad. Both were excellent. Total bill for 2 was around $20 which is very reasonable. Want to take my wife there for dinner sometime soon. Prices are much higher, but the fare looked good. If dinner exceeds lunch, then this place is a keeper. UPDATE: I have been back for lunch since my last review and I have to say this might be among the best places that no one knows about. They have a Sunday brunch which a group of friends are looking forward to. And of course dinner there with my wife. Seriously. You have to go.
was very impressed with the food and service here, ordered chicken pot pie which was extremely delicious will definitely visit again!

My wife and I went to Terra Mae last week for her 40th birthday on 9/13. We were only spending one night in Chattanooga, and she had chosen this place for her birthday dinner. She made the right choice, and our experience was nothing short of outstanding. We came in around 5 without a reservation and found that the restaurant was surprisingly empty. We decided to sit and have a drink in the bar area before dinner. I had an Ancient Mariner, and my wife had a Scarlett O'Hara. Both drinks were amazing, and we were assisted with a table even before we asked for one. During dinner, I tried the BIg Kid Root Beer, and once again was very pleased with it. For an appetizer, I had the bison short ribs, which were perfectly cooked and just plain delicious. My wife had the Soup of the Day, a butternut squash soup that looked as good as it tasted. I loved being able to look into the open kitchen to see food being prepared as well. We both had the same entree: The scallops wrapped in bacon. I've seen smaller scallops in seaside towns. They were enormous and perfectly cooked. The grit cake it is served on is also delectable. The service was excellent. From the bartender to our server, everyone was warm, pleasant and welcoming. The biggest disappointment of the evening was that we didn't have room for dessert! We had already eaten too much. I wished I lived closer to Chattanooga, because I'd be eating here often. My bank account is glad, however, that we live quite a ways away. We were in an area hotel and took the free electric shuttle to the restaurant, so we didn't have to worry about parking. I recommend doing the same if you're staying in the downtown. If you have a hole in your schedule one night for dinner in Chattanooga, I highly recommend Terra Mae.

I've been known to bitch and moan at substandard service, cool food, and general misses in what could have otherwise been sublime dining experiences...but tonight I have to give major kudos to the staff at Terra Mae...spot on all around from the Sazeracs to the lamb biscuits to the fried oysters with BBQ sauce...I could write a book on the walnut pie! Can you say "hitting on all cylinders"?

Sunday brunch with the most interesting and adventurous menu I have encountered (but I don't go out for brunch that often, so could be me). Three diners, all very happy with our choices, a turkey omelet, a version of eggs benedict with halibut instead of Canadian bacon, and duck eggs and sausage. We didn't ask for the display, but another table was treated to a waiter with an egg carton carrying all the different kinds of eggs available. Good spicy bloody mary to start. Very handsome room and terrific service. I would go back to Terra Mae any time.

I wasn't expecting much from this place (after my dining partner's previous visit here and talking to some fellow foodie friends) but decided to give it a chance with a LivingSocial deal. Actually, I was pleasantly surprised. Stopped by for brunch after church, place was pretty empty on arrival though filled up by the time we left. The brunch menu was limited, but had enough to cover the range of regular breakfast-y and lunch-y stuff-- pancakes, skillet/bakes, salads, sandwiches and their version of steak & eggs. Everything looked tasty, though admittedly a bit pricey (even for things on the "small plates" portion of the menu.) I decided on the Short Rib Short Stack, which was braised short ribs served with marrow brioche, a berry jam and a fried egg on top. Food was hot, jam was packed with fresh berries and the egg was perfect... which though a small victory, it still made an impression as I confess I've sent back many an egg dish with overcooked yolks at restaurant brunches. My dining partner had a fried soft shell crab over grits-- also piping hot, well seasoned and enjoyable. (She had eaten at Terramae previously for a dinner party and was not super impressed-- She did, however, give breakfast a thumbs up. Perhaps brunch or lunch are better bets?) Our server was very kind, no complaints. Kept our water glasses & coffee cups filled and was super attentive. We did have a bit of a misunderstanding about the LivingSocial deal, but all was rectified after a quick talk with the manager. Was a great deal with the 50% off I had... I'm looking forward to my next visit to see if I'm still as impressed paying full price.

I made reservations at Terra Mae because of the stellar reviews it has received on yelp, and I have to say that it still exceeded my expectations. It's located in an historic downtown building, and the interiors are very well done. I was honestly surprised to see such a beautiful space in this relatively small city. Aside from looks, everything about the meal was fantastic. The service was attentive and knowledgeable, the cocktails were complex and delicious, and the food was outstanding. My partner and I had a really nice time, and I look forward to going back next time we're in town.

Yes, it is challenging to secure parking. But at 5-ish, not so bad. However, I was approached by a person wanting "money to feed her family" as I was trying to find a place to park. I parked on the street that is parallel to the back of the restaurant, so I entered through the back door. No greeting. As I walked through the restaurant and went to the bar area, still no acknowledgement. It felt a little awkward. Finally, someone acknowledged my presence. I told this person that I was waiting for friends and asked if I could sit at a high-top table in the bar area. Fine. Still, no offer of drinks, etc. while I was waiting until I asked. Strange! Last time I checked, servers were commissioned sales people. I ordered the soup of the day (a wild mushroom) which was flavorful, but lukewarm bordering on cold. Would have been great if served hot. I had a sense that it sat a bit too long before the server picked it up and served it. Mind you, the place was not busy at the time. My duck confit with dumplings was delightful and delicious with multiple layers of texture and taste. Very satisfying. I think this place could be far better and has much to offer. It's pricey and I left with much less than an "OMG" experience. PS: The gal who needed money to feed her family waited for me to come out. I had told her when I arrived that I had no change, but might after I finished dining. Two hours later, there she was! Now that's patience! I had to reward that!

Was in town on business, read a couple of the Yelp posts and went for a solo lunch. I'll go back for a dinner soon. I like the space, the mostly open kitchen, and certainly the general level of quality. Opted for a salad, and thought I'd try the grilled cheese. The lunch salads are enormous. Very fresh seasonal items, greens, kale, asparagus, broccoli, carrots, parsnips, cauliflower, brussel sprouts, topped with black-eyed pea vinaigrette...anyway, fresh flavorful and a lot of food for the money...I would've preferred the brussels to have been shaved as they were raw. So I had little room for the grilled cheese and fries, but ate half. Three artisan cheeses, very tasty. Bread probably a bit too thick, but then if it was thinner it would support less cheese. Sure would've enjoyed a glass of wine but it was a workday. And the frites are fresh little fingerlings sliced in half...so not the mass-produced "crispy" fries, you actually taste potato. Bottom line: great potential, I want to go back and try a variety of dishes.

Had a great dinner here with a friend while traveling on business. My salmon was perfect! We also had the bento box as an appetizer and it was very interesting. The vidalia onion side dish was rich and decadent with a buttermilk pour over done at the table. The bread pudding for dessert was divine.

I started with a great version of a Moscow Mule and stuffed jalapeños wrapped in bacon. Bacon! I moved on to a well manicured salad and the pork loin.

The best Shrimp and Grits in the South bar none.
(5)Deb D.

Great food service was average at best. Wine list was more than acceptable. Great, unusual and delightful combinations of flavors in every bite. I will come back next time I am in town.

(5)Heather B.

Fantastic food sevice and charming little warm place in downtown Chattanooga and the rooms are super cute for a reasonable price.
(4)HOLLY M.
Do yourself a favor and be sure to make a reservation. The food is creative, original, excellent. The waiters are very nice and knowledgeable. The portions are on the larger side, so it's nice to get a salad and a main course and split if you don't want leftovers.
(5)Shon A.

First, I would like to say that these are my views and my statements. They are my observations and my opinions. Thus, nothing personal to anyone working at this establishment. The reservation was made for 6:45p. First, parking was a bit daunting. That could be a problem for them. The place is interesting in decor. I am not sure what to make of it nor the name of the establishment, at this particular time. For one Terra is (earth in Spanish) Mae is (rudimentary from the French name for baby girl) Appalachian I get is (pertaining to the demographics) and Bistro (that is where I am thrown off a little.. (A small tavern, pub or "unpretentious" restaurant's seems a little too much on the name to make of it, but the inside is interestingly enough. On one hand you have this great rustic look with the lighting and the walls painted a soft eggshell hue, the linen matches the trim and the walls very well. Yet the game mounted on the walls, throws the place into a time machine to the 80's steakhouse, we all once have seen on numerous TV shows and movies for that matter. The place was barely occupied, which I like. The server was pleasant. She told us what was not on the menu for the evening. Our first course. We opted for the truffle infused roasted baby beets.. These beets are sous vide which means (under vacuum in French). However, the truffle was not the prominent taste with the beets, but rather a heavy heaping spoon full of black pepper. It had too much of it. The feta cheese was supposed to be smoked. It was just regular feta and cold. Big chunks that took more space on the plate than that of the beets. The honey was sparingly, yet a savory first course. Our second course was a bit of a disappointed. We ordered the king fish. I asked if the server could tell me anything about it. She said that the chef puts squid ink on the skin of the king fish. I thought wow. Interesting?? Well, the presentation was beautiful, but the plate was cold (big kitchen snafu), the fish was cold. Bah! Need I say more? Three servers had walked past our table with a blank stare on their faces. I made eye contact with all three. Finally, the manager was walking by and I pulled him to the side. The dish got taken from the table and it came back completely different. We got the same fillet's of fish that had come out originally, nice and dried. The mushrooms were completely different than that of the first time. The menu read. Marinated roasted king fish with poached wild mushrooms, creamed spinach in a mussel cream red stripped sorrel. We got the reheated fish (probably microwaved) which was dry by this point. Their wild mushrooms were whole white button mushrooms sauteed with garlic and still had a crunch to them. Not the blanched kind, but the raw kind of crunch. The spinach was partially cooked and partially raw. More like partially wilted spinach. The cream sauce tasted like a regular cream sauce with tarragon, butter, garlic and hint of salt and pepper. Nothing of what was on their menu reflected what was on that dish. After that debacle. We were offered dessert on the house. Nice gesture, I guess? If it was me, I would have comped the fish and charged for dessert should the guest want that? The menu's were left on the table throughout our entire courses. I took the liberty of glancing at their desserts and saw a $13 flour-less chocolate cake!! They most be using cacao straight from a plant sent from Monaco or one laced with gold? Who knows! But that is almost double the price of a competitor restaurant in the same area. We opted to get the trio of creme brulee's. The brulee's were cold on the inside, not quite fresh..The texture had a gritty and porous feel to it. Not smooth and creamy. It seemed, like we got them at a time where things were being developed or still in the experimentation phases? The taste on their chocolate was an 8 out of 10 their vanilla was a 4 out of 10 and lastly, I do not think they knew what flavor the 3rd one was. The menu read espresso. The server told us it was mocha, but the flavor profile was very much a fruit? It was a berry of sorts flavored creme brûlée. Or at least that is all we tasted. They were all garnished with berries. But what bummed me out was the rim of dried up creme brûlée on each of the dishes. As if they were sitting in a walk-in fridge waiting to get seared. Not fresh and not impressed at all. I am one for giving them a second chance, but it will be some time before I do so. The bill was about one hundred for two people. FYI. Pricey. Overall the price does not match the food you get nor the level of service that it could potentially be at. Time will only tell and I hope that they really succeed! Chattanooga needs another fine dining establishment.

We enjoyed an early Valentines date night and once again, had a great meal and experience at Terra Mae. We noticed that there were lots more tables set up for a busy weekend, but we were not crowded at our table. Service was a tad slow but we were not in a hurry. After sharing the Ambrosia salad, my wife had the horseradish-crusted salmon and I had the beef short ribs. Both were excellent choices with lots of flavor. We shared the coffee creme brûlée for dessert which was great, but we did notice a considerably shorter dessert list than on our previous visit. Maybe it was limited for Valentines dinner but we will go back soon to check it out. TM is our favorite date night restaurant in Chattanooga. We recommend it to everyone and always look forward to returning. Please bring back the fabulous dessert choices!

(5)Madeline S.
(5)Jessica S.
Only been once, but this beautiful restaurant has the best filet I've ever tasted in my life! The mac and cheese is also amazing! The ambience is very romantic and the service is good. The only complain I have is with the dessert... we ordered the banana creme brûlée, which was around $10. It was very small and didn't have much of a caramelized crust, like we were expecting. Other than that, we had a wonderful experience.
(4)Denise W.
(2)Brad W.
(4)Joel V.

We went there to celebrate our anniversary. We had a wonderful meal! Though the menu is selective, we had a hard time choosing between 5 entrées. Our server offered solid advice, which we took. In the end, we ate too much! Ouph! We were truly impressed with the artistry of the meal. Every ingredient was thoughtfully selected to compliment the other ingredients. Purely delicious!

was very impressed with the food and service here, ordered chicken pot pie which was extremely delicious will definitely visit again!

(5)Jerry L.
(5)Thorns C.

This local fine dining is the best in the region. Beautiful surroundings, friendly server, and the food is mouth-watering divine.

We decided, Again, best meal of the year here! Such an amazingly fresh veggies and the ambience couldn't be better. Our server was awesome plus that place is consistently great! A fantastic experience and the menu selections were such a local and fresh treat!!!!! Love this place!

I went to this restaurant again twice and have loved it every time I have been back! This will count as one of my Chatt faves from now on. Everything I have eaten has been so wonderful! I try something new every time I come. Make sure you try a drink called a Rhett Butler! And have the Blackberry bread pudding!

I kept hesitating on going to Terra Mae for some reason. I wish I hadn't hesitated. My wife and I went for Valentines and were completely blown away by the overall experience. The staff was very attentive on a very busy evening and the meal and desserts were fabulous. Can't wait to go back.

Justin, the bar manager, has changed my mind. I was a firm believer in not ruining whisky by mixing it with anything. The innovative creations at the bar are beyond belief. Well done Sir,
