I've been here several times and I gave it a 3 Star for a few reasons. I've had a great lunch, walleye sandwich and good atmosphere. I had the same for dinner tonight and it was "fishy", two bites and I threw it in the garbage. I've had their Irish nachos, which are not good for you, but taste like a college kid put them together after the night at the bar. The atmosphere is a nice small Irish pub and it seems like a cook locals kind of hang out. Their food could use some attention and fine tuning. Not bad, not great. They should take a few pages out of the Irish pubs in Minneapolis. I'm just saying.

McNallys Irish pub is a place that has always had great food. Because they allowed smoking all over the restaurant we were only able to go in the summer when the patio was open. Since SD enacted a smoking ban, we were able to dine inside on our last visit. I was not disappointed. My favorite is the Walleye. It is by far the best in town. Served with mashed potatoes and vegetables it is quality throughout. The servers have always been exceptionally efficient and friendly. Great place.

Excellent friendly efficient staff. Dublin cheese steak was good for the hubby who also enjoyed the champs. I had the Guinness sliders which was just perfect for my smaller appetite. Of course having a Guinness with our meal was a great accompaniment. We brought dessert back to our hotel. The Irish cheesecake & Jamison tart that we enjoyed later was a perfect ending. Next visit to Sioux Falls we'll visit again.

On a busy Friday night the service was outstanding. For that and a nice variety of whisky, they get three stars. Unfortunately, it was so loud we couldn't have a conversation, and this wasn't due to a live band, as there was none. I didn't know they were actually playing Irish music until I went the restroom and could hear it in there. The food left a lot to be desired; the meat loaf gravy was extremely salty, the green beans were cold, and the bread pudding was not sweet, neither was the Shamrock cake (even the cream cheese frosting was not sweet at all). My husband's top sirloin was mediocre, however, the Jamison sauce was tasty. Maybe if you were going with a group of friends and can out-yell the other patrons, and not order food, but just drinks, this would be the place. I do like that their Over 21 rule.

What a fun pub! We sat out on the patio. It was very busy when we went. There was live music, a new beer being advertised (with free t-shirts),and a boisterous crowd. Yes it's loud. Yes there was a wait on the food. If you're in a hurry or looking for somewhere quiet go somewhere else. The food was SUPERB. We had the bruschetta as appetizers (very good). He had a burger- something along the line of 'the pub burger' which was quite good. I had the cheese steal sandwich. Side salads were fantastic- and I'm a bit of a salad snob! Don't ask for oil and vinegar- they give you straight white picking vinegar! The balsamic dressing was good. Dinner was great. Drink selection was ok for a pub- but we still found drinks we enjoyed. A very fun, kick back and bring the friends for a drink, atmosphere. We'll be back. The nachos were huge and smelled delicious whenever they went by....

Great spot for passing through Sioux Falls. Stopped there on a roadtrip with my GF. Service and outdoor space/ambience were excellent. Crazy Irish whiskey selection - I can honestly say I've never seen better in the US. Beer selection dull. Walleye sandwich was good - well done but a tiny but fishy. Turkey club was well above average. Sides were great, prices fair.

Had the summer steak and it was good. Came with pineapple tomato salsa and pita bread wedges. It was perfect for a smaller dinner. I asked for a steak with just a little pink in the middle and that is exactly how it came. Waitress Amanda was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. I had the pistachio wee bite for dessert and it was also good. I recommend the skinny ginger for a drink.

Great service even when a big wedding party came in. Perfectly poured Guinness and good food

Nice staff, nice staff, but the food was really, really, really mediocre. Really just bar food. Nothing particularly Irish to be found.

I have always been a fan of McNally's. I've been there many times and have never been disappointed. My two go to's are the bangers and mashed and the patty melt. I really enjoy that it is a 21 and up place to be with amazing food and plenty of drinks. It's nice to be in a place without a screaming baby or an annoying child! The staff are friendly and I always receive my food quick. Even during busy times. Tonight I went with the patty melt and the Apple and celery soup! I liked both and took half the patty melt home for a nice lunch tomorrow. I highly recommend visiting this charming restaurant. Sit on the patio during the nice weather for an enhanced experience. You won't go wrong with the quality offered here!

The food was really great! I especially recommend the corned beef. It is so much better than the last irish pub I've tried. It was a legit irish pub and i was very impressed.

I used to frequent Mcnally's 2-3 days a week after work for a delicious brew and to enjoy the atmosphere of the patio with a few buddies. I moved to Canada and was unable to make it down to Sioux Falls for 2 years, so I was very excited to come back last weekend to see my old friends. A large group of us wanted to get together for lunch, and the weather was beautiful, so the Patio at McNally's was my first choice. We came in shortly after noon and would have been the only people outside. My wife, myself, and our 2 month old daughter showed up, well-dressed, first with about 1/3rd of the rest of the group rolling in right behind. After a few hugs & welcomes were exchanged, an managerial-looking employee showed up, presumably to seat our group - & Denied us service. He said that we were not welcome to eat there with our daughter along with us. Apparently I am not able to have lunch dinner at McNally's for the next 21 years. It is okay though. Bracco's graciously accepted our party, and their staff even provided us with a car seat holder for our little girl. It is incredible how quickly my favorite restaurant in the city became my least favorite. Nice work Mcnally's.

I've been to Mcnally's a number of times and had good service and good food. Tonight the food was terrible. We ordered an appetizer and a meal to share and both were very bad. When I had the waiter take the plates he didn't bother to ask if anything was wrong even though both plates were still full. Won't be back for anything other than drinks!

I love this place! Live music on weekends. Great specialty drink menu (try the hard cider and Jameson or the Dirty Girl Scout). The decor is neat. And nice looking outdoor patio I'm excited to try once all the snow melts. Oh and the walleye sandwich is delicious, so good I actually had it for dinner two nights in a row. And if you like Guiness, they do a good pour. Not as good as what I had in Ireland (what is?) but better than every other one I've had in the U.S. and they will put a shamrock in the foam!

Great place. Beer selection is typical Irish but the whiskey selection is exceptional, including Green Spot and Red Breast pot still whiskeys. Turkey club hit the spot and service at the bar was good- just don't sit too close to the kitchen: sounded like kindergartners with tattoos in there. Great Irish atmosphere and decor.

Excellent service. Excellent atmosphere. Decent specials. Decent price point. When they do something right, they knock it out of the park - the roast duck, walleye, mussels, etc. Are all absolutely wonderful. But skip the bruchetta (note to self: do not get italian fare at an irish pub).

We love this place usually. However we arrived and sat next to the service area of the bar. The bartender was someone we had not seen before but we heard very loudly, he began to speak with his bar customers in a voice so loud you were hoping maybe he was speaking to someone with a hearing impediment, no that was not it. We received our drinks and waited for our food. We being in the service industry noticed our food coming to the window and there it sat. We were certain this was our order but looked around for a waitress (she was in another area). Finally a different staff member realized we were waiting and looking around. Some 8-10 minutes after the food had reached the window it was delivered. I commented on the food sitting there for awhile, and rather apologize for the mistake she gave an excuse for our waitress. Halfway through our meal our waitress finally showed up and asked if every thing was okay. She was awful and it upsets us that we will not go back for quite awhile. The manager on duty had no clue to what was going as she was on the phone for the majority of the time. The patty melt was no longer hot and the bread was dried from the heat lamp. Just bad!

Horribly slow service. I got the feeling the were delaying serving the food so they could sell more beer. Once the food arrived it was reasonably good, but the meal was constantly interrupted by the very loud drunks at the next table. Not a place to go as a place for dinner.

We absolutely LOVE McNally's. I highly recommend the Bangers and Mash. excellent. Price and atmosphere are great, although it does tend to get a bit loud sometimes. and unfortunately they do not allow kids (which I totally understand)

The food was perfect. Had the bone in Chicken breast with a Guinness. Phenomenal... A must do when in Sioux Falls

Best bar experience ever. My friend and I got to sit in one of their semi private rooms to do our girl talking. Our waitress and bartender was fun and very easy to talk to. She also suggested some really delicious drinks. Appetizers were drool worthy and the Baileys Cheesecake was orgasmic.

Been back and I have to say I can't forgive the food anymore. We ordered the Guiness cheese dip with pita, etc. It came with POTATO CHIPS. And was TASTELESS. We even tried to doctor it up with Husband's Guiness and salt and pepper, but it was still tasteless (like pure cream cheese). That being said, apparently you should come here for beer, booze, any kind of alcohol is okay. This place was meant for drinking, not eating, imho.

I love mcnally's. The selection of beer is amazing. The food, especially the sirloin tips, is delicious. Great atmosphere!

Cool bar with a great atmosphere. ...and the food-my god the food is impeccably delicious. Try their special. If I knew the place a bit better I'd feel perfectly comfortable just saying, I'll take whatever the chef serves me.
