Really, I'm giving this hotel 3 1/2 stars. We spent 5 days at this Double Tree and I have to say the room was very nice. They have a whole floor set aside for HHonors members (nice touch) - we had a king suite and it far exceeded our expectations. The room included a microwave, fridge and appeared clean. If I were rating the room alone I'd give 5 stars (at this price range it may deserve higher). Service was also good - no complaints. The only area I'd mark down is the food - we visited the onsite restaurant several times during our visit for breakfast only. Three times we got the buffet, three times the food was "warm" or maybe a step under warm. We ordered room service twice and twice the food was cold. That's my impression of the food - my wife thought the breakfast was fine and gave a thumbs up to the waffles and grits. If you like Waffle House, there is one right across the parking lot (easy walking distance), a Wendy's across the street, a diner and a Denny's all within walking distance. If you crave "fine dinning" you may find the pickings in the area slim. Bottom line, we'll use this hotel whenever we're in the area.

I wish I could give 4.5 stars. Emily and Nathan understand what customer service means. Nathan is both professional as a manager should be and very personable to every customer. Emily works the restaurant/bar area and makes sure you are taken care of. She also brightens up a room with her smile. Reggie will also go out of his way to ensure that you are treated like royalty. Let's not forget Chuck and Trina when you get thirsty after work. They will treat you right as well. The rooms are clean and beds quite comfortable. This place is definitely worth the visit.

Swanky! Love this hotel, it's the Hilton's version of the Aloft.........very nice rooms with flat screens, cabana's by the pool, nice gym, etc. This hotel seems to fit better near the outlet mall but that's just my opinion......Northwoods Mall is right across the street but other than that the area is just meh. They offer breakfast for a fee but my favorite part of this hotel are the yummy warm cookies:-)

Nice room, nice staff, good hotel bar, and good breakfast. We also hosted an all day event and had no problems and fair price. I'd recommend it to any other meeting planner or someone needing a place to stay in North Charleston. Oh and the Doubletree cookies are that good!

Nice hotel! The sliding door in the bathroom was a little awkward since it only had a handle on one side. The lady at the bar was very nice, and the shrimp was good, but the nachos were disappointing, as the cheese was thick and not really melted. We didn't eat the free, hot cookies because they weren't done in the middle! BUT, I have to give them only 3 stars due to someone on the staff not being honest! It was recommended that we stay here for a modeling event my 12 yr old daughter was invited to...well, we left 3 new dresses hanging in the closet, and I've had to call several times trying to locate them. One person hung up on me when I called, before telling me he only answers the phones and couldn't really help me! Ebony promised she'd call me back the same day I spoke with her (over a week ago), yet, I never heard back! Finally, today I spoke with Lisa, who was very courteous, yet, informed me that no one has seen any dresses! I just left a message with Jim Keeley (G.M.) but, sadly it looks like we're going to have to call it a loss!!! Needless to say, I'd never stay here again, nor recommend it to anyone!!!! But, to be fair, it was clean, and nice! Just don't leave anything behind....you'll never see it again!!!!

This place has a lock on the cross between industrial architecture and hypermodern design. The furniture and room setup is beautiful, but I was scratching my head for a minute while I figured out how to turn the shower on. I'd pick this place for a romantic weekend but not if you have small children. It's a little nerve-wracking with little kids and the rooms floor-to-ceiling window. The breakfast bar is well-rounded but is sadly not included. It has things you'd expect: scrambled eggs, great muffins, pulpy (possibly tasted fresh) orange juice, bacon, sausage, etc. I was impressed being able to create oatmeal with granola and dried raisins and cranberries at a simple breakfast bar. I wasn't really happy with the location. It's right on I-26 which makes it easy to get to the airport, but you are distant from the good restaurants downtown and in Mt. Pleasant. Otherwise, this place well represents the Hilton name.

Warm chocolate chip cookies were just a hint of the great service we were to receive. Great hosting of an icebreaker that we had the night before the conference, Great breakfast (though not included in the price) and nice bar for the evenings. Our room was beautiful but with a bit of a highway within reach just ourside our thankfully soundproof windows. Special kudos to Dina Laquanya at the desk, Ramon who took our luggage in the shuttle so we could get in an afternoon in Charleston before our flight, and Emishia who brought us coffee and eggs.

Great hotel and friendly staff. The lobby is gorgeous, new , and very inviting. What I love about this hotel is that you get a warm walnut and chocolate chip cookie when you first check in! How's that for service?? I loved the king suite I stayed in for 2 nights. It had two rooms; a bedroom with a connecting bathroom and then a sitting area. Each room has a flat screen HDTV so you're set if you and your significant other can't agree on what to watch! There's also a sofa with a full size sleeper if you need additional bedding. I was also pleased to find out that they provide 2 complimentary water bottles for you on top of the dry bar. I greatly appreciated that Doubletree had a 24/7 gym on the second floor so you could work out whenever you wanted to. Inside the gym they have a water cooler and towels for you to use which is awesome. I didn't have a chance to check out the pool but I'm sure it was nice. The only part of my stay here that I was disappointed with was the shower. The bathroom itself was beautiful with lots of glass and dark wood. On the other hand, the shower was tiled, looked like it belonged in a motel, and had no physical door.. only a measly curtain. I eneded up spraying half the bathroom with water since the water pooled on the shower floor and then spread everywhere outside of it. The bathroom was like a slip n slide once I got out. I seriously don't understand why anyone would ever design a shower without a door..unless the shower was on a decline or had some sort of barrier to stop water from getting onto the bathroom floor. Anywho, overall I had a great experience and would definitely return if I visited Charleston again. Take note however that Charleston is very spread out geographically so if you want to go to downtown Charleston, it's like a 10 minute drive from here.

Wonderful property that is true to Doubletree standards. Everything was clean and modern. Rooms are immaculate, with LG TVs and DirecTV. What really pushed this 4 star review to a 5 though was the super friendly and helpful Talonda at the check in desk. Would definitely stay again if in the area.

The hotel was very clean, new, and spacious. We thought we were getting a basic room for the already inexpensive price, but it was a suite with two 50" Samsung tvs and a very nice bathroom. The lobby was very nice with friendly staff that will also leave you be if you prefer. It is slightly difficult to find the hotel from the road as it's hidden behind other businesses. It seems somewhat uninviting on the outside bordering the highway, but we were not disappointed.

I have been staying here for a long time, probably 100 times total and have seen the level of staff and service decline. There seems to be a lot of turnover at the front desk and they are not as professional as when they first opened. I hope this is not a trend because there is a lot of competition in the region.
