I ordered food from this place a few days ago and was not happy with the food or service. They were out of food in some areas of the menu and the communication between the server and cooks was horrible. It took them 10 mins to tell us that they were out of corn...and then a few mins later it was crawfish...then corn...then both. I would not have been so upset if my Low country boil did not have crawfish legs spread out through it. So they did have crawfish or they just did not use clean water to boil the low country boil. The shrimp was mushy, the sausage was low grade and mushy, too. The food was not cooked together because all the shrimp was on top. What I can assume is that they boiled the shrimp and cooked the sausage and potatoes in the oven. They had no corn and very little. Note: you will be paying for potatoes if you choose these meals. The next thing we ordered was flounder and you will be paying for grease and a tiny piece of fish in the middle of it if you can find it in the fry batter. The hash puppies were cooked too long and we paid for more potatoes again in another meal. The last meal was Jammin' Grits and it had the same problem with the shrimp that the low country boil had; mushy, pasty and tasteless. The sausage had the same problem as the low country. Come to think about it they may have just used the same food out of the low country when they cooked this meal. The grits needed a lot of work. It was all over priced food...potatoes. I will not be going back and I hope you stay away and save your money on better food. This place is like someone woke up in the morning and said I am going to open a restaurant today and I will learn how to cook along the way.

I have a feeling that if I wait 3 or 4 months this place will be vastly improved(decor wise). Just a quiet little place that is cute on the outside and kinda drab on the inside. However I think they're going to do some things to pick up ambiance to another level in the coming months so I'm looking forward to that! On to the food... I didn't have the highest of expectations after walking through the front door but wow was I in for a treat! Without a doubt the best seafood I've had in Columbia that wasn't just a special at a nice restaurant. Prices are super reasonable and the food was delicious. We had the hot crabby dip and shrimp cocktail, both were excellent and the shrimp was flawless! I had the crab cake and while it wasn't the meatiest one I've ever had it was probably the tastiest one I've ever had! I will definitely be back here soon and I suggest you try it too if you're in the mood for some delicious and reasonably priced seafood!

Excellent hush puppies and fried oysters. My husband ordered the Lowcountry boil and it too was excellent. Very good seafood and very reasonably priced.

No pictures this time but great shrimp & grits, good service, and resonable prices. For $30 for all you can eat crabs on Thursday night and they keep brining them out all night long it's a good deal - just can't eat that much any more. We all had a good time - just wish the chairs were a little more confortable.

A bit pricey for what you get. Fried shrimp was over cooked and the service was not very good! I definitely expect more food and better service for the price!

I wish I could say how the food was. We ordered our food and waited for 1 hour and 30 minutes. We never received our food. I asked to talk to the manager and was told he was to busy to talk to a dissatisfied customer. We paid for our drinks then left. I will put this on my "never come back here" list.

Went for Thusrday night All You Can Eat snow crab. Decor was basic and thrown together which I liked. Had to wait awhile to get a high chair for my child, but not a big deal. The she crab soup that came with the meal was okay, had good crab chunks but the base was really thick and seemed like it came from a can. The important thing was the crab. The crab was excellent, large clusters, spiced well, and cooked perfectly. They kept the crabs coming and showed no signs of being stingy. Great experience and we will do this again. Customer service was excellent as well.

This is some of the best seafood I have ever had and I've done plenty of traveling up and down the east coast as well as the gulf coast. Great service and atmosphere. This old reception hall is under a new owner and is a must stop if you are looking for a great family owned local restaurant. Lyles Pan Seared Clams and Shrimp Over Grits is a must order!

Still getting established at this location. Seafood is outstanding, with prompt, cheerful service. Los of room this afternoon between meal times. Lyle, the owner does the best crab legs in town. This afternoon we had streamed shrimp, only got 10, should have gone for 20. They still cannot take plastic, expect things to look up when they do and as more people rediscover them.
