I don't know what it is about Shoneys but growing up this place was amazing...I'm not sure if that's because I was a kid and didn't know what restaurant food was really like or if my taste buds just loved everything. Either way, this Shoneys is terrible. My husband, my daughter and I went after taking a trip to Columbia. They were having a seafood buffet. Since my husband eats a ton, we decided to get the buffet. It was so nasty. The fish was dry and cold and there was very little to choose from. My daughter even pushed the shrimp away and if she could eat shrimp every day of her life, she would. The waitress we had was nice but we had to tell her to refill our glasses and take our plates away. You could hear everyone in the back joking around and getting loud. The whole time we were there, I only saw someone bring out new food once and it wasn't even food that needed to be put out. It definitely wasn't a good experience and much like Quincys, I think Shoneys needs to close down.

I chose to eat at this Shonies because it was within walking distance from my hotel. From the very beginning I knew this visit would be disappointing. The hostess was too busy chatting with friends at the table near the door to seat me. When I went to seat myself, she realized she needed to do her job. The waitress was nice but forgot my drink until my meal came, no a big deal. The food was okay, despite the disfigured hamburger patty and small portion of fries. When I went to pay my bill, I waited at least 5 minutes, all the while employees passing by me. The manager finally checked me out and offered a half-hearted apology. I definitely won't be going back.

This review is based on two visits. One server was right on top of everything, and was very personable. This time, I had to correct the server on simple details, such as not charging for cheese that wasn't on a burger. The staff does seem to work hard and management is trying, so think it over. Just realize that there's more food a bit down 378 in either direction. There is a breakfast bar, and it is kept clean and stocked. The location is near several hotels and Captain D's.

A major part of any dining experience is the quality of service you receive and I think can speak for all of my family (we ate there recently) when I say the quality of service at this particular Shoney's was fantastic. The server was very friendly and waited patiently while we placed our orders and looked over the various menus. She even suggested various options for some of the items on the menu that we hadn't thought of before. The burgers we ordered were perfectly cooked and we all had a fantastic time. I'd definitely recommend this place if you're looking for a bite to eat or a place to relax and talk over a great dessert.

Gross cheap food. Cheap meaning quality. I don't know how this place stays in business. I was traveling for thanksgiving holiday and couldn't make turkey dinner. I went here to get my holiday dinner. I took it to go back to my hotel. The only thing that was even edible was the pie. Watse of $15.00.

General- We went here cause it was really close to our hotel!! It was very price friendly and so was the staff. It was fairly clean. Price-The bill for two came up to $20 dollars. Food- There was a wide range of food options. $7.99 all you can eat buffet: baked potato was great (had all the fixings) pistachio pudding was yummy. Food was a little salty, but I left completely full. Breakfast is served 24/7. My mom got an omelette for $6.99 which she claims was delicious. **I tried the Raspberry iced tea as mentioned on Yelp. It was really good! (Thank you).

Good breakfast/brunch for $6.99. Had fruit, eggs, bacon, sausage, spam, pancakes, French toast sticks, grits, hash browns and more! Easy to get to from the hotels in the vicinity.
