Their fish is fantastic and couldn't possibly get any fresher. I had the catfish nuggets and my boyfriend had the catfish and gator bites. We bought a jar of tartar sauce to go with it and our bill came out to $19.99. This is not a sit in dining restaurant but take out is wonderful to go home and watch a movie to!

I was visiting South Carolina from Houston and decided to check this place out. The fried shrimp, tilapia and the frog legs were delicious. The food was so good that we went two days in a row! The wait for the food was pretty long and the food could use a little bit more seasoning, but I'd recommend it nonetheless.

Took at least 40 minutes to get our food. Looked nothing like the pictures and the amount of food we got was not worth the price. Will not go back.

This place has absolutely no professionalism. I waited for over thirty minutes with a smile. I asked about my order and was told it was being fried. After mother 15 minutes I asked again, still with a smile. The lady gets upset and tells me there were a lot of people ahead of me (there was, but they had all left, even some people who ordered after me). I hear her behind the curtain berating me for asking for my food nicely! They really seem to have horrible attitudes, and an unprofessional mentality. The food did taste decent, on a positive note. This is why black ran businesses rarely grow outside of a select few people willing to deal with bad service. (And for the record I'm black).

Each plate is made fresh! The shrimp was EXCELLENT! As was the fish and sweet potato fries. The staff was extremely helpful, friendly and professional. I asked for help making choices...everything on the menu looked tasty! I couldn't wait to eat and forgot to take a picture.

What a great little place! We came here to buy raw fish (they were helpful, cut the amount of salmon we wanted - at such a fantastic price! - and descaled for us). The prices for fish here are really reasonable and there are lines of people here waiting for the fried takeout (Which smelled amazing). Great as a fishmarket. I'm also sure great as a takeout joint.

I have never gotten anything from their takeout menu but everything I have bought from their fish counter has been very fresh! Great place to go and get raw shrimp, scallops or salmon!

One of the best fish markets and owner that you will meet in SC. I've been coming to this market for years whether it's dinner or having events catered Palmetto Seafood's high quality has never changed. The batter is light but very tasty. Many variations of seafood and locally caught fredh water fish are in abundance. I highly reccomend this business for dinner or catered events. The owner Lucius has had this corner storefront for over 20 years. He is a great person and will do sound business.

Best/cheapest place to buy fresh seafood in Columbia. You'll leave smelling like you've been working at Captain D's, but its worth it for fresh, local, and cheap seafood! They'll cook it for you on site if you ask. They'll clean it for you for a little more too, you just have to ask.

Diner Drive Inns and Dives wanted to shoot a show here but they kinda said no thanks. This is a simple place nothing fancy and they wouldn't have a lot of footage. The owner Lucius is a retired fireman and very friendly person he has given me free batter on a number of occasions to fry my catch. I like how you can get gator nuggets here, there's not enough places serving gator what gives. But anyways you can pick out fresh fish here or they will cook it for for you. If your headed towards Gervais St. from Forest a Acres it will be on your left or about five minutes from the Vista. Parking can be tricky but I personally think its worth the trip.

If you want take out fried seafood that's not only fresh and really good, but also more reasonably priced than your typical seafood restaurant, this is the place for you! Not only that, you get a lot for your money, the staff is very friendly and they genuinely appreciate your business.

I found this place by mistake about two months ago and been going every since . I had fried GatorBites for the first time and that was interesting, lol. They are very chewy and I love chewy foods. Very good place for takeout seafood and more

This may be the most greasy, salty, and spicy fish I have ever had; but it is also the best fish I have ever had. I don't know what they are doin' back there, but they have some kind of mojo workin' on that fish! Every time I am in Columbia I go. And you should too.
