First time I ate here I was not impressed. Then about 2 weeks later I started craving it! I get the same thing everytime and love it- bowl of veggie soup, side of vinegar-based pasta salad and a raspberry sweet tea! Nom nom nom!

It was packed at lunch, however the food was almost instant as you go through a quick line. I got the turkey sandwich with fries. Great fries, decent sandwich. I heard they had the best Greek Salads and soups so I will try that next time. Note: does not take credit/debit cards but they have an atm inside.

This place is a little in the middle of nowhere, but it was worth the trip. The line is pretty long at lunch, but I still wasn't late returning. They serve the food very quickly, everything was fresh and homemade. A great deli is hard to find! It was also pretty inexpensive. Also very helpful and friendly employees considering how busy they were and how hard they were working.

Great deli! Reminds me of a cross between the Soup Nazi and my school cafeteria, with the exception that the food is great! I wasn't a fan of the chili, but the soups are great and the sandwiches won't let you down. Bring cash, they don't take card and the ATM will cost you $2.50.

I love getting lamb euros here, everything is made to order and cafeterias everywhere should take a leaf out of the owner's book. Remember to bring cash.

cash or check only!!!!!! Lunch was great! I had the bean and turkey soup with cornbread and the hubs had a philly cheese steak wrap. The atmosphere was really fun & the regulars were a great help! Def a "soup nazi" kind of place! Can't wait to go back!

I've never had anything except the Greek salad here...and why would I when the salad is big enough to feed 12...and tastes so incredibly good? No Name has always reminded me of the "Soup Nazi" Seinfeld episode...except they won't make you leave. No Name is packed during lunch though...so know what you want. If you talk to anybody that patrons No Name Delicatessen...they will surely tell you something else is the best. It seems that everything I've ever heard of that someone gets here is the best. If you live in COLA and haven't been here...I'd suggest putting it at the top of your list for a lunch spot. If you're an out of towner...use your GPS to find it...it's not exactly in the middle of anything. Also...bring cash...or get some at the ATM inside.

This review is from 10/5/09 - started it on my mobile app but never posted it!! They gave me free pasta salad because I had never been there before! The gentleman said it was what they were known for...i was taken aback by his generosity. He gave me two different kinds of pasta salad, a mayonnaise based and a vinegar based pasta salad -both were excellent. The sandwiches were excellent and the portions were huge. As you walk in, it almost feels like you are inside some kind of market since the hustle and bustle is palpable and the place was packed with people.

Dont let the exterior fool you, this is a diamond in the ruff! Best ruben ever! Only downfall: cash/check only!

Great food! The place is packed, but that's for a reason.

I was in Town for work and was told that this place was a great deli for sandwiches and lunch. We got there right at lunch time and place was packed. We placed our orders and the line sped along very quickly. I normally wait longer at McDonalds for food. The price of the food was very affordable, the quality of food was excellent and the service was excellent. I will definately go back here the next time I am in Town. The only down side is that they don't accept credit cards, but at their prices, it's not really a big deal.

Busy and cramped not a lot of time to peruse the menu. Food is mediocre but service was exemplary.

Thumbs Up Best Deli in Columbia. Great place to just sit and enjoy the good food, everthing is always fresh. Love the chicken salad and the fries. Love the scriptures on the napkin holders Always positive, and in everything giving God the Glory.......

I drive past this place every day but never stopped to try it until lunch today with a friend. If you haven't been there before it's a little confusing to know which way to go - straight or right - right is the way to go. Anyway, there are plenty of people that work during the lunch rush so you're quickly tended to. I ordered a hot pastrami and cheese - they have swiss, american and provalone with french fries as recommended to me by a friend. They were low on fries and had to cook another batch, but they went ahead and made my sandwich; by the time I received my tray of food I had piping hot fries and a room temperature pastrami. I'm sure it's not always like that, I just got unlucky. The place is way bigger than you would think and there's plenty of seating in back. There's a cool mural filled with important buildings in Columbia, No Name included; I like a bit of self confidence in a restaurant. One should note though, the geographical correctness of the map is horribly, horribly wrong; I'll get over it. The pastrami was okay - Hampton's Place still holds the title but No Name is second best. The french fries were excellent - crunchy, hot and not so salty which I like. The peach tea was sweet and peachy but a bit too sweet for this northerner - I mixed some nonsweetened tea in and it was just right; I also appreciated that they had fresh mint leaves out for the tea. A customer at the table next ordered what I believe to be the prime rib sandwich and I had immediate order envy. I look forward to trying this place again. I guess I should try their Greek salad too; afterall they did take one outside wall to tell Columbia it's the best in the Carolinas.

This is a Columbia institution. I've been here probably a dozen times, but I will warn you - it's a little intimidating at first. It's one of those assembly line ordering schemes, so after waiting for awhile you have to be READY to spout your order when they ask for it! Then you travel down the line to the wonderful cashier/owner (?) who will kindly accept your CASH OR CHECK ONLY. Don't forget that - you'll be kicking yourself for having gotten sooo close but yet so far from delicious food. So, what to order? THE REUBEN. Hands down. It is by far the best Reuben sandwich I have had in the Midlands. I pair it with french fries if I'm feeling slightly naughty and with a Greek salad if I'm trying to keep it trim. They have all kinds of sandwiches and pasta salad and such, but I can promise you that once you savor the Reuben, there's no turning back. There are signs that say not to tip, but I'd go ahead and slip a dollar or two to the sweet lady who buses tables. Last piece of advice: it gets suuuuper busy at lunchtime, so come early or come late. Come at 12:30 and you will stand in line for a solid half hour (...it'd still be worth it.)

No Name Deli is delicious!! Although its less than appealing from the outside, the crowd inside quickly shows you that it's something to enjoy! It's always packed but the line moves very quickly. My husband and I have tried the turkey Reuben and the cheeseburger and both were very good! And it was very inexpensive with large portions!

This place was recommended by many people, but I don't see why. The food was okay at best.
