Absolutely exceptional. Was In the mood for BBQ and Little Pigs delivered big time. Only complaint was I feel I didn't pay enough! Our 2 year old ate free. We will surely be back next time we are in Columbia!

If anyone ever tells you "barbeque is barbeque," slap that northerner right in his mouth. Anyone from the south will tell you, Carolina is different from Florida is different from Texas is different from [insert favorite local place]. So, with my first attempt at Carolina Q, I yelped my goofy face right into this one-room delicious-smelling shack. Right on the door, the apology of "we had to raise our prices to $8.47 per person" greeted me. YES. $8.47 per person, for all you can eat barbeque. I was wearing my fat shorts, we were in business. I think I went up 5 or 6 times, and tried everything, and the prognosis is that Carolina Q is WAYYY different from anything I've ever had. Instead of Florida rubs or Texas' JUST COOK THE MEAT ideas, Carolina seems to cook everything in the sauce. My wife called it "crock pot style," which seems about right. The meat is never dry - always dripping in its own stuff. The mustard pork was tasty, and really unusual for me. The vinegar pork, to my delicate Florida senses, was too much - but these locals were putting it away, so more power to them. The ribs were, again, seemingly crock pot style. Not really for me, but an interesting experiment. Hush puppies were great, and most of the sides were tasty. The "hash" was weird, until I saw someone put it on their rice - which made way more sense then dorky ol' me, slurping it up with a spoon (I'm very new to Carolina barbeque). So locals, please don't take the 3 stars as an insult. It's for out-of-towners who aren't well-versed in your meat creations. I'm glad I tried it, and the price was unbelievable. But I know now that I don't need to try it again.

Top notch. Best food I've had in a while. If you don't stop in, you're missing out big time!! So much variety and the people are beyond friendly. Such a great, small-town atmosphere when you are in this place. When I come back to Columbia I will definitely be returning. Great pricing too.

Lunch was $9 all you can eat, incl. a drink. Cole slaw was Ok, potato salad was good, BBQ beans were good, but who cares-the meat. THE MEAT! The fried chicken was very moist, they had ribs, pulled pork simmered in mustard and vinegar sauce. All great. The best part was the smoked pork on the bone. There is a serving station set up so you pull off the meat you want and add your own sauce. Very moist, great flavor by itself, but with the mustard sauce-perfection. Oh, and BEDT HUSH PUPPIES EVER. This is the place to visit in Columbia.

This place is so good!! I tried the mustard based BBQ and it was some of the best I've had. The buffet has a huge variety, including mustard, tomato, and vinegar based sauces to appease all barbecue lovers. They also have fried chicken, pork chops, ribs, roasted pig for pickin', and fish. Great place for down home country cookin'! That chocolate delight dessert is sooooo yum! I'll be going back!

This is an amazing BBQ Buffet restaurant. Lots of home cooking food that you can feast on all night! Be careful, it's way too easy to over eat here!!!!!!

My husband and I have been in the Columbia area for 30 years. Everyone has told us we need to go to Little Pig for the best BBQ. Today around 1:00 P.M. Sunday Sept. 6, 2015 we went to the buffet. Was very excited since there were so many people. AND, were we disappointed. The collards had so much sugar, I almost had to spit them out. The chicken was as dry as a bone. The mashed potatoes were from a box and so thick it was like eating glue. The rice...down right horrible not to mention the gravy. The ribs were as tough as leather and the sauces one could get better ones in a bottle. All the sides were so salted. It was as though you were eating pure brine. Will not mention the broccoli salad (if you can call it that)...and the potato salad...UGH ! ! The mac and cheese... maybe baked 4 days ago and reheated..Yikes !! The desserts were a chocolate pudding with peanut butter...are you kidding me ?? and banana pudding.....all tasted chemical as though they were from a box. The only saving grace was the ice tea and hush puppies. Other than those two items, this is the worse meal, I believe I have ever had. Have traveled and lived in many cities, New Orleans, San Francisco, Atlanta, Tampa, New York, Boston, Chicago, Houston, Seattle and many others. This restaurant tops the chart for the worst. After reading all the reviews, I can believe this place got such rave reviews??????

Okay at best. I don't know what everybody on Yelp is talking about. The food here is straight out the can! Yams weren't even idible. The mac and cheese needed salt AND pepper. My okra was burnt. The green beans were good, so was the hush puppies and sweet tea. Most everything tasted normal, nothing lip smacking. I won't be going out of my way to have a basic meal, but if you're from out of town and you want to try southern food-go ahead. It'll only run you $8.45 for lunch.

The best BBQ in Columbia! Everything they put out is delicious. I always stop by when i'm in the capital city.

We were driving through Columbia and read the reviews for this place. It was excellent. Inexpensive, friendly staff, great food. It was great, authentic South Carolina BBQ. We highly recommend it. Be sure to try all the veggies and the meats. I walked away stuffed.

Took me a year and a half to get back to Little Pigs after my last visit. Arrived right when they opened for lunch- a number of items on the buffet were not warm yet. Cold barbecue is not very appealing. Will be a long time before I go back, maybe never. Too many better barbecue places to eat.

Read reviews for this place and drove ((slightly) out of our way to come here. So glad we did. Couldn't believe the price $31 for 2 adults and 2 children (ages 12 and 10). And that included drinks for all. !!! The food was so authentic, delicious and the very definition of BBQ. The atmosphere was very "local" and casual. I loved everything about it. Kudos to the restaurant and it's super friendly staff. The pulled pork, Mac and cheese and the hush puppies were especially yummy.

We stopped by on our way through Columbia from Myrtle Beach, SC to Myrtle Beach, SC on a Sunday in August. We were looking for a place with the local feel and a break from the driving. Throw in the good food and it was a perfect opportunity. We pulled up shortly after 11 and there were just a few cars in the lot, although the tables filled up quick enough. There was no line and we walked right up to pay. Under $18 for myself and two kids (6 and 4). Grab a Styrofoam plate (or a small bowl) and start filling up. Soft drink or iced tea is included. I wouldn't call myself an expert on BBQ, but I grew up in Texas and have had my fair share. This felt very authentic to the region. I will miss a bit, but I'll try to run through some of the foods at the buffet. Cold salads (cole slaw, potato salad, pasta salad, broccoli salad). Sides (collards, green beans, dirty rice, white rice, mac and cheese, hush puppies, tomato pie?). BBQ (3 kinds of pulled pork, fried chicken, ribs, hash, fried gizzards, fried liver). Desserts (banana pudding, chocolate delight, sliced peaches). There was also another table. I'm not positive what part of the pig, but it just pulled apart with a pair of tongs and melted so deliciously. Everything was delicious. The people were friendly. It was a great stop and break for us. I don't know when I'll be by again, but if I'm close, I'll stop.

Its ok. The BBQ was not bad, not great. Tables were sticky, paper plates. But they must be doing something right, it was packed.

Pretty good place for some Q been coming here since I was a wee lad of five. Try the buffet they have tons of stuff to choose from.

I've been coming here since I was tee-niny little girl and it is as good today as ever. This is the best example of SC BBQ you will ever find. They have EVERYTHING a proper southerner craves: saucy pulled pork, delicious skins, fried chicken, hash, mac n cheese, fried everything, smoked sausage, even brisket for the TX folks who mosey through. And it's CHEAP! Less than $9! Go eat, wear your fat pants!

I've been to a lot of different BBQ places all over the great state of South Carolina and Little Pigs BBQ is unique. Not necessarily unique in the atmosphere or selection of southern favorites but unique in the flavoring of their food. Their mustard base BBQ along with their Spare Ribs (both of which delicious) have a very sweet finish too them much unlike the typical tangy or tart finish of other mustard bases you would find in SC. Their fried chicken was especially juicy and tender with a great crunch factor that just makes it fun to eat. All the fixin's you would expect were there, cole slaw, potato salad, baked beans, mac n' cheese, hush puppies, and a lot more. Quite a variety. The only negative thing I have to say about Little Pigs BBQ and the reason they didn't receive a higher rating is that the dessert selection was fairly poor. I know people don't come here for the dessert but with so many great southern classics to choose from it was a let down to see a disheveled tub of banana pudding that just tasted kind of "blah" to finish off an otherwise excellent meal. All that being said, still a great place to eat. Give it a try!

I'm a total west coaster. I love salads, authentic Mexican food and guacamole. I've lived in SoCal and Southern Idaho. I flew out to North Carolina for business. I played hooky on the last day and my wife and I drove down to South Carolina to see what's up. We stumbled upon Little Pigs BBQ. How do you describe the most invigorating, lively, best tasting food ever? I don't know. I really don't. I could have cried while I ate I was enjoying the food so much. The mustard BBQ was a religious experience. The hush puppies at this establishment are worthy enough to feed a god. The fried chicken.... ::trying not to cry:: was so astronomically fantastic that I could have solved all the world's problems right then and there. I intentionally stuffed myself. I couldn't help it.

This place was outstanding. On our way down to Florida, we were hungry and since we were in South Carolina we thought: barbecue. Quick yelp search, and this place comes up. THANK YOU YELP! 10 bucks per person for all you can eat GOOD barbecue, a drink, and dessert. We found ourselves wondering how the place makes any money with all the food they offered. The sides were all good-the mac and cheese, greens, rib rice, fried okra and hush puppies stuck out, in that regard. Seriously the hush puppies were amazing. There was an older gentleman there, dressed in a very nice suit, and as I was at the buffet, he was waiting for them to bring out a fresh batch of hush puppies. The man had the biggest smile on his face as he filled his entire plate with fresh hush puppies. I thought it a little strange but endearing. Then I tried a hush puppy, and completely understood. The fried chicken was moist and delicious, the mustard pulled pork, excellent, the ribs amazing. I mean there was literally so much delicious food there that I couldn't possibly think of even sampling all of it. I tried a little scoop of the banana pudding and would highly recommend it to anyone. It's a very casual place, cafeteria style. It was pretty crowded when we were there, but we were still able to find a table. We were thinking of driving a little further after dinner, but after that dinner, we decided to stay in Columbia for the night. I highly recommend this place. It is a great deal and excellent food.

Came here for their Sunday lunch buffet. Can't believe how cheap it was for all that tasty food. This place had a continuous long line of people, which was a very good sign of what was to come. Loved the mustard pulled pork, the vinegar pulled pork, collard greens, coleslaw, mac and cheese, creamed broccoli, BBQ chicken, ribs, beef brisket, fried fish, hash, beans, and the chocolate delight for dessert. My belly was so full, it hurt to walk out of there. I was definitely a happy camper. Going back as soon as I can.

I could give 4 stars based on the overall quality and variety of offerings on the buffet. However, I suppose I'm kind of a BBQ snob and whenever I review a BBQ place I'm reviewing just the meat on the on the bone and not the whole hog. Sorry, the BBQ here is apparently cooked on gas and, if the pig isn't smoked, I won't rate it higher than three. The meat is available in five ways; mustard, tomato, vinegar, and 'straight off the grill'. They also offered ribs and brisket. Other available meats were smoked sausage, fried pork chops, chicken liver & gizzards, fried chicken, chicken pot pie and fried fish. Sides included collards, green beans, sweet potatoes, Mac & cheese, two kinds of rice, and some variation of BBQ hash. Also, potato salad, coleslaw, corn on the cob and hush puppies. Nothing was really bad, but nothing was really great. Still, lunch was good, the staff were friendly, the restaurant was packed, and the price was reasonable. I would return, but only because I was hungry for a home-style buffet and not the BBQ.

Most favorite place to eat!!! Wanted to get them to cater my wedding. Food is the best southern food around! Doesn't get any better than this!

Delicious real scratch cooking - wide selection, amazing baked mac & cheese, crazy good hushpuppies, yummy bbq & pulled pork. Buffet or table service. Will definitely go back when I am in the area, beats all bbq in Texas. The only downside is the self-serve beverage bar is a nightmare and the seating area is like a frenetic school cafeteria but the food makes up for the surroundings because I would have taken a star off if I hadn't enjoyed the food so much.

This place should be on Diners Drive Ins and Dives! For $10 you can choose from a wide selection of tasty food on the buffet. The Mac and cheese and mashed potatoes and gravy are to die for! If you are close this place is worth a visit.

Great food, the best I've had in years. The folks working there need to go back to southern hospitality school. Pretty rude and even when being nice to them they couldn't help but be even ruder. Go for the food not the folks that work there!!

We discovered this place in the advertisements on local eatery directories. Not knowing what to expect and seeing the line out the door kind of tells you it is good food, a local favorite. Buffet is served using plastic silverware and plates which is fine by me but if you're not from the area I didn't expect it. A lot of variety in the barbecue and three flavors to choose from, I enjoyed each the same. Being from Buffalo, NY I only thought there was only one barbecue flavor. Meat was tender the potatoes mac & cheese were very good. Fried Okra was delicious. Huge variety on this buffet. You definitely will not leave here hungry.

It's so not fair. Totally not fair. I had eaten a massively delicious burger last night for dinner in Five Points (Pawley's, will be reviewed later) and promised myself that I would make better choices. And then I'm here at what I was told is some of the best barbecue to be had in South Carolina. Yep, they were not kidding and Yelp hits it right on the head. I tried to make better choices. I had little bits of everything. I got a little bit of the green beans. A little bit of the collard greens. A little bit of baked beans. A little bit of the dirty rice. A little bit of the sweet corn. A little bit of mac & cheese. A couple fried okra. A small bit of potato salad. A scoop of mustard shredded barbecue. A scoop of vinegar shredded barbecue. A scoop of tomato shredded barbecue. Two ribs. One chicken wing. A little bit of the brisket. It took two plates to try everything. And I only had little bits. For dessert, I took a small bowl and it had a small scoop of banana pudding and a small scoop of chocolate delight. Just a little bit of each! Everything was excellent. Absolutely excellent. OMG, my tummy hurts. So much food. It's not fair that it was so flipping good. I wish that I could have eaten more and more and MORE! Community seating (I sat with an insurance salesman who was back from a tennis tournament) and plastic plates and cutlery and styrofoam cups. It's part of the charm. A real find for number 1700!

This place might be the best deal of food that I've ever had in my life. $10 for an extremely delicious buffet. My favorites were the Mac n cheese, fried gizzards (soooo good), fried liver, fried chicken, ribs rice, and vinegar pulled pork. The ribs , pulled pork, chicken wings were good but don't expect the best bbq ever. The value along with the consistency of so many good dishes is what makes this place great. Everything is good and one has so many choices to find something they like. If I'm ever back in columbia, sc, this is a must stop.

Great find about a mile off I-77 at exit 15. We were dying for BBQ and Yelp led us here. As with most BBQ joints in the South, the shadier it looks...the better the food. Ambience is just what you'd expect...loud, full parking lot, popcorn ceiling in what almost looks like a double wide trailer. $11 for the dinner buffet. Loved the mustard-based pulled pork, mac & cheese and hush puppies. Everything was great and value was right up my alley.

Great BBQ, great sides, and only $10 a plate. If anything ever made me decide to move to this god forsaken state, it would be this joint. I would have diabetes within my first year as a South Carolinian, all from eating at Little Pigs. YUM!!!

Misses one star simply because the lines can get long and it can be so crowded that if someone were to fart everyone would know. I guess you sorta expect this type of eating in the south: Huge family like gatherings in small or average spaces. The selection of food is extensive and I must say their different types of BBQ are nice. I haven't tried the vinegar, but the mustard type is quite the treat. The prices are also decent and well spent. I will say, however, that if it's your first time walking in you will be lost. I know I quite was. Basically you go up to the counter, pay, and wait. You literally wait right there even if there is a line behind you because the food line is right next to the cashier. Quite the oddity. You're also waiting for a table to open up, but the lady will yell at you to come when it's time because she cleans the tables. All in all a decent place. Would return.

Place was unbelievable. I am not a big fan of BBQ, but realize now that that reason is because I have never been to a good BBQ place. This atmosphere was nice the food options were all so very good. Evert bite of food was delicious. The price is so worth it and the line goes by fast. The selection is nice because I can try different types of cooking styles and tastes. I willrecommend this place to everybody, and will be back for sure. Alberto

Buffet at dinner prices on Sunday! Closes at 3 - come before the crowd eats up all the vinegar, mustard, tomato pork bbq, or the pulled pork or the sweet ham or the fried chicken, fried okra, fried pork skins... Ok, there is plenty to go around, but I don't want to share. Don't let the cafeteria setting or off-the-grid location turn you off; in fact, those two characteristics just mean this place is legit. Southern BBQ to a T, you will find something for everyone AND their cousin. The mac and cheese, the rib rice (rice with delicious morsels of rib peppered throughout), greens, beans, and everything in betweens (I had to do it). They spared no expense and left no Southern BBQ staple stone unturned. There was sweet tea, lemonade, soda pop, banana pudding and chocolate pudding - if you have a craving for a taste of the South, get your fix at the Little Pigs. And if you don't want any witnesses to your gorging, they do to-gos!!!! (get the ribs, they're succelent and filling!)

I dont think that anyone writing reviews here has ever been to this restaurant. Salt and sugar covers up all flavors. Sauce is nasty . Ribs fatty . Cole slaw bought pre-made . Chicken gizzards tasted raw or spoiled. First and last time. Still not a decent BBQ place in Cola,SC.

I was amazed at how much great food was on the lunch buffet. The cost was very inexpensive for what you got. The catfish needed a few more minutes in the fryer but pulled pork was excellent. Duck master

so i often think about going back to south carolina just to eat at this place. it's an all-you-can-eat southern buffet - their specialty being all different kinds of pulled pork (mustard based which is south carolina style, vinegar-based, which is north carolina style, and tomato based-memphis style). They also had the most amazing fried chicken, mac & cheese, greens, biscuits & gravy, banana pudding and the most amazing hush puppies ever and so much more. now, me and my husband had our fair share of bbq, but this place had, HANDS DOWN, the best pulled pork ever. all three flavors were amazing. but i think mustard style was my least favorite. vinegar style was weird at first, but i'm now a huge fan of it. make sure you get the fried chicken - it was the best fried chicken we've ever eaten too. also. hush puppies.....mmmm... if only it wasn't so far.

Little pigs is a throw back to simple homestyle dining. The food is made with care and it tastes great to boot. I've been 3 times and each time it was delicious and the service was great as well. If you want good BBQ in a comfortable environment... Little pigs is a must!

Awesome selection of chicken and pork BBQ and sides on the buffet. I found the meat to be dry. It's a great place to take a group and for the price you will be satisfied and not leave hungry, but it also won't be the best BBQ you ever tasted. Don't come here if you are counting calories.

You'd really have to get here a few times to decide what you like best, as the selection is tremendous. I was passing through on my way back to New Jersey, but I've had BBQ all over the country and compete as well. In my short experience here I'd give top billing to the hush puppies, vinegar pork, rib rice, and the roast hog station. The hog was a little light in spice for my taste but the house BBQ sauce made it a knock out. Honorable mention for the mac and cheese and brisket (which would have been better cut more across the grain. It was sliced bias and as a result a little chewier than it should have been). The potatoes were powdered, and the ribs were dry. Overall, I'd eat here again and again because there was more than enough really good options, and what really sets this place apart (other than the BBQ sauce that I would have quickly purchased to take with me. Hint hint! Put it by the register!!) was the very reasonable $10.50 which included soda fountain, coffee, and desert. You're not beating that anywhere, so check your fancy hat at the door because you're eating on plastic with plastic ware, but you'll get every penny's worth.

Off the beaten path, but some very good food. I very much enjoyed the vinegar bbq, and my husband loved the mustard based. All of the sides we tried had great flavor. They are lacking in some dessert options.

Super yummy!! The Sunday buffet is any BBQ lovers dream! You can't help but go back for seconds (or thirds); we needed to be rolled out. The banana pudding is a must have to round out the meal; make room, trust me! We will be coming back on our next trip through SC.

Ahhhh. Still remember the great food. I found this place on a simple Google search and read the great reviews. My family and I were visiting the area for basic graduation on Fort Jackson and were tired of the Wendy's and fast food. We immediately headed there and I was hesitant at first since it was a local joint but my father said "You get the best food from the local places". Once we got in, the decor was sweet. Basic furniture, little pig statues everywhere, very homey. We were greeted by the cashier who was very nice and could tell we weren't sure how it worked. Find that it's a buffet style place which was exciting because the total price for the family was lovely. I went straight for the vinegar based pulled pork, so yummy collards, chicken, mac and cheese, etc. I actually got to try both the tomato base and vinegar based pork and both were tasty. I went back for plates and my family was pleased with the meat selection. Even my picky niece liked the food. I've never been to a buffet with such great homestyle cooked food. We left bloated and satisfied which calls for a great review!

I'm a newbie to the BBQ scene in the Carolinas but I already love it. Little Pigs is part of the reason why. Great selection of meats and sides for a reasonable price. My personal faves are the fried chicken, collard greens and sweet (is there any other kind, I don't think so) ice tea. I wished they had BBQ like this when I was growing up, where I was growing up. We take all of our visiting Yankee friends here and they love it. My only critique is the abundant use of styrofoam.

Growing up in the south, actually just a few miles down the road from this joint no less, you really get to appreciate BBQ and genuine soul food. I'd never eaten here in my prior 21 years living in SC, but my sister and brother-in-law wanted to try it so I we with my gf (who's from SF and this was only her 2nd trip to SC with me) since we were back here for Christmas. I have to say, I miss food like this so much. Everything is great...trust me, between the four of us, I think we had about 7 plates of everything. I mean, there's a reason this place is still around a booming in sort of an obscure area for a restaurant. The lunch buffet was less than $8 and you got your fill of brisket, ribs, fried chicken, fried fish, 3 different types of BBQ, pork shoulder, mashed potatoes, green beans, collared greens, yams, dirty rice, hush puppies!, sweet tea or soda, banana pudding...I mean the list just goes on. If you're a local, support this local business. You won't regret it (although your heart might!). If you're visiting the area, you've gotta try this food. It's southern done right.

The buffet is phenomenal. I was passing through on business from Atlanta and stopped in. The fried pork chops are amazing. The mac and cheese is delish. There were so many tasty items to choose from, I was overwhelmed.

My grandparent's loved Little Pig's Barbecue. My Momma loved Little Pig's. I love Little Pig's. They must be doing something right. Green beans, collards, rice n hash, and pulled pork (of course) are my favorite. Is it sacrilege if I put BOTH vinegar and mustard on my pork? Their mustard is on the sweet side. Tomato sauce is for scalawags (KIDDING!). BTW, it's a known fact; pulled pork tastes better on a paper plate. I also had to laugh at the reviewer leery of buffets. All the best BBQ places are buffet or steam tray style. Don't worry, if you are in the right place, the food goes quick. Hmm, I don't care what anybody says, banana pudding is gross, but not gross enough to eclipse the pork. Does anyone else remember the little outpost that was near the corner of Covenant and Two Notch, some 25 years ago? I wonder if I dreamed it.

After reading reviews, I knew I had to stop by this place. The only options are buffet or carry out. For a Thursday night, business was pretty brisk on both ends. When you order carry out, a server fills your box with your recommendations. I did the dinner buffet and it was $10, which includes drink and dessert. You start out with a plastic plate and begin on the sides: loved the cole slaw, mac and cheese. Some of the other sides did not look homemade: baked beans, potato salad, sweet corn. Plenty of sweet tea on hand and desserts were banana pudding and chocolate delight. The barbecue was great! You had choices of tomato / vinegar / mustard pulled pork, brisket, fried chicken, bbq chicken, dry ribs, wet ribs, livers, gizzards, and pork chops. I tried nearly everything but went back for the mustard pulled pork as did the customer in front of me. The staff was very cordial and kept the hall pretty clean. It's a simple setup inside with tables for 4 as well as tables for groups. The table next to me was a couple with their 2 young children while another table was an elderly couple. Being Asian, I still felt comfortable in this environment. It was just mentioned in Best of Columbia so next time I am in town, I'll definitely be back!

Wanted to have BBQ while stopping over night in Columbia on way to Charleston . Went off reviews great choice . Went on a Saturday for lunch buffet great price and almost everything I had was really good few miss items gizzards and livers very tough my thought on these do not make them unless they are going to be tender. Also mashed potatoes tasted very instant

For 8 bucks, you can't beat this all-you-can-eat BBQ. I used to come here and get mac n' cheese to go because there was no way I could cook it that good. Good southern cooking with three types of BBQ and huge onion rings to boot. There was nothing I tried there that I didn't like and I am not the biggest fan of BBQ. Little Pigs changed that for me. One thing you do need to be careful about is call ahead to see if they are open. If I recall, they are only open Wed - Sat., but I never really got it straight.

Little Pigs is your typical, buffet-style BBQ joint. However it stands out as one of the larger, and fresher restaurants of its kind. They have a really nice selection of meat - including BBQ 3 ways (ketchup, vinegar and mustard based). They even have a whole pig set out for a true "pig-picking" experience. For other meats, there is fried fish, pork chops, brisket, meatloaf, fried chicken and my favorite - chicken gizzards (something not commonly found). They have plenty of veggies to fill out the plate (although the collard greens were a bit sweeter than my preference). Finally, they have a small selection of desserts - the banana pudding was fine, but the chocolate delight (with peanut butter) was the real hit at our table. Speaking of tables - they have long tables that can accommodate larger groups, but they are close together. The room can get a little loud, so conversations can be hard to hear. Lastly, I wasn't crazy about the plastic utensils - it sort of cheapened the experience. However, as mentioned - the food is the star - and it shines.

ok. not all the food on the buffet is good, but the BBQ and Fried Chicken is great.

Little Pigs has three different kinds of barbecue and all of the vegetables that you expect to see served with a barbecue buffet. The food is excellent. I would have given this restaurant five stars except that the noise level at times is unbearable. I avoid the busiest times and eat here about every six weeks. I love them!

Great BBQ restaurant. It has everything that I look for in a BBQ joint: good sweet tea, lots of great country fixins, and banana pudding. They serve up two styles of BBQ, a mustard base and a tomato base. They even have a chopped BBQ chicken choice as well as whole chicken that you can sauce yourself. This a great place for a working man's lunch or an outing with the family. I am sure to stop back by next time I am passing through.

We love stopping here. Anytime we drive through South Carolina, we make our way over to Little Pigs Barbecue. All you can eat and boy it's mighty good food!

I travel the Carolinas and eat bbq usually once a week. My wife and I found this gem and I will be adding it to my regular stops. Vinegar bbq and hash were awesome. The hush puppies were addictive. The barbecue was truly pulled and still in larger pieces than you find at most bbq places. It was also much juicier than your typical NC vinegar style. Seasoning was about right. It was not too hot, but the pepper flavor definitely comes through. The buffet was loaded with sides. I had the candied yams and potato salad. There were many more to choose from. They all looked better than the canned varieties you find on many buffets. I will be back to try the other styles of bbq and other meats along with the other sides. There was so much to choose from - something for everyone! It all was good, hot, and fresh. They were so busy, all the food on the buffet saw regular turn over and did not get old on the buffet.

Yum yum yum. One for each pig. This place was great. For the price, I wasn't expecting much more than cafeteria style slop, dried out meat, and congealed mac & cheese. My preconceptions could not have been further off the mark. The buffet had a ridiculous amount of choices that were all solid. On my first go-round I picked out the rice with rib tips, collards, vinegar pulled pork, mustard pulled pork, tomato-based pulled pork, stewed tomatoes and okra, fried okra, and hush puppies. The hush puppies were a standout - sweet, moist, and not too greasy. All of the pork was tender and flavorful. The vinegar ended up winning in my book - just enough tang with barely any black pepper. Mustard was a close second. Collards were tasty and not overly salted or hammy. Okra was cooked perfectly - not mushy at all. My second fill up consisted of more pork and rice but this time topped off by some fried chicken. The chicken was crisp on the outside and moist on the inside but was just plain overshadowed by how good the pork was. I also love the chocolate pudding peanut butter cookie concoction - took me right back to my favorite elementary school lunch dessert. Lowlights for me were the pulled pork shoulder (dry, tough, and tasteless) and pickles (too sweet). The ambience and after church crowd made for some great people watching and the staff were cheerful and bussed our empty plates pretty quickly. I have to say though, I write this with a bit of a heavy heart (literally & figuratively). Going here was an in-your-face reminder of the state of the obesity epidemic in this country. I don't really want to enter into this debate (I'm a fan of everything in moderation and the occasional over-indulgence) but at least I feel a bit better better giving my dollars to small business instead of the chains.

We love little pigs!! The staff is friendly and the food is great. Its all you can eat and boy does my hubby take that seriously. Lines can be out the door so get there early!

Little Pigs is a strange but wonderful place. The food is outrageous and the prices are so good as to be funny. However, the seating is all folding chairs at folding tables, so it's not exactly a comfy place to sit and enjoy your delicious meal. Plus, there are no small tables or places to sit with just your friends/family. Seats are first come, first serve so you better like your neighbors. Despite all that, we go there pretty often because the food is worth the less than stellar setting. It's also one of my favorite places to bring people from out of town since it's such a unique experience. The carolina style (mustard-based) bbq is killer. Skip dessert (canned pudding, yuck).

Holy selection, batman! They have a very broad set of offerings on the buffet line, all three kinds of pulled pork (that would be vinegar, mustard, and tomato) so much so that the bread (and Xlent cornbread, BTW) is hidden off the end of the buffet table. Whole pork shoulder for pullin' is on the backside of the dessert bar. Unaccountably, pickles are on the dessert bar?! Anyway, the whole joint reeks of BBQ excellence.

I have died and gone to barbecue heaven! I went during the day and spent $7.65 on all-you-can-eat barbecue. That is a joke of a price for the quality of food you are given. Could you imagine going to McDonald's and spending the same? No way. The buffet is set up cafeteria style, the same as the seating. First come, first serve. I love that! So many meats to choose from but my top three were: 1) Vinegar BBQ Pulled Pork 2) Spiced Chicken Wings w/ Original Rub 3) BBQ Ribs Top three sides: 1) Potato Salad is out of this world! 2) Mac N' Cheese 3) Fried Okra Sweet Tea on the side and for desert the'r chocolate pudding with peanut butter and vanilla wafers inside. The best of South Carolina BBQ!

omg want to see wierrrrrd people stop here during the buffet hours, like we did. oh GREAT FOOD. GREAT SELECTION. wings, ribs and briskets were awesome.

When you factor in the price $7.50, the quality (great), and the number of choices, this is easily the best BBQ joint I've been too. They have every fixing and about twelve different meat choices. You name it they've got it. But best of all it taste great. All you can eat and delicious, you Just can't ask for more.

My husband and I were looking for some good BBQ while we were in sc and luckily this place was open, afterall, BBQ places in the south are always open on weird days...but its open wed-saturday. Anyways, this place was legit. They had different types of pulled porks; tomato base. vinegar base, and mustard base...they also had beef brisket, wings, more pork, lots of good homemade sides and anything else you could think of. This buffet was def a good idea. I wont leave columbia without going here everytime :)." Hubby said..."This place is as good as it gets. The pulled beef brisket and the tomato based BBQ were legit. Like it tasted fresh and made your taste buds dance. We are going back there today again and everytime we can. Its all you can eat buffet like it usually is in SC and worth every penny, I'm glad they opened up again."

I was visiting Augusta, GA for work but flew into Colubmia, SC. On my way out of town I had some time to spare and thought what better way to spend it than some local bbq. I did some research and found this was one of the top choices. Upon entry, I was a bit shocked to see it was an all-you-can-eat buffet. Typically, that screams "leave now!" to me, but I pushed through it. The food looked good and it there was somewhat of a variety. While it turned out to be ok, I am simply not a fan of SC bbq. I'm sorry, I'm a Kansas City bbq kind of guy. The food was good, just not what I was looking for. I will likely try somewhere else before I just the in it's entirety.

"Great value, all you can eat. BBQ chicken and tomatoes w/ okra, sweet pickles and homemade potato chips were yummy. Beef brisket was tender. Banana pudding tasted fresh and homemade. Would be nice to have a greater selection of non-pork meats and more veggies, as well. But would return.

Perfect example of southern BBQ restaurants! This is a very clean and tidy restaurant, the staff are super nice! THE FOOD! This BBQ place is very good! The buffet is plumb full of the standard sides- rice n hash, collards, mac n cheese, yams... The ones I tried were very good! Mac n cheese- just like home made! rice and hash- very good! Yams- just right! The hush puppies were super good! I would have to say the sides here are A+ The BBQ! They have pulled pork with vinegar, mustard, and tomato based sauces- I tried the vinegar and the mustard. The vinegar was a tad bit dry, but it was nice and spicy and had a nice tang from the vinegar- needed some extra pepper sauce to squirt on it! The mustard sauce was maybe a little sweet? however, the meat was very moist. Also tried the ribs and fish- they were good- nice smoky flavored ribs but a little greasy~ the catfish was very good- tasted like it had just come out of the fryer! Just the right amount of salt, super good! I order 2- Two meat meals with three sides each for about 20$ The to-go boxes were jammed packed full! enough food for 4 easily! This is a nice place in between Camden and Columbia, not too far off the interstate- Worth a visit!

Little Pigs, in the northeastern part of Columbia, South Carolina, epitomizes southern cuisine to me in a nutshell. It is a southern BBQ buffet, with tons of options, and the food is great - endless amounts of mustard and vinegar-based pulled pork, sides, and desserts. Little Pigs does it well, and was among the best southern bbq buffets I've had here in Columbia (My favorite is Palmetto Pig, but it doesn't have as many sides - for those of you that love a large selection of sides, Little Pigs is definetly the place to go). For me, the best thing about Little Pigs is that in addition to their pre-sauced pork, they offer big pieces of unsauced bbq pork that you can just pull right off with a set of tongs, which is an awesome way to enjoy good bbq pork =). For more details, as well as photos of the restaurant and the great food here, you can visit my food blog, epicurious-eats.blogspot…

5 stars from all 3 of us!!! Get the buffet sometimes for lunch and often stop for takeout for dinner. 3 types of BBQ ...all good, but our fav is the vinegar based (also have mustard or tomato based). Great slaw, sweet potatoes, potato salad, fried okra...and of course banana pudding! Yummmmy.

This is an all you can eat BBQ buffet. They have a great selection of sides and have some good mac and cheese! This place is at the top of my list for BBQ joints in Columbia.

Despite the fact that it's a buffet with paper plates and cups, it's some of the best BBQ I've had in a long while. Awesome mac & cheese, fried chicken and pulled pork & ribs. Loved it! Highly recommended.

Some of the best BBQ you can find in the south...and that's saying something! I thought my boyfriends eyes were going to pop out of his head when he saw all of the differnt kinds of BBQ they have to offer: shredded pork mustard style, shredded pork tomato style, ribs, chicken and a whole freaking pig on the next table. All of the sides are great; mac & cheez, collards, beans, hash, mashed potatoes, and you can't forget...banana puddin' with nilla wafers! This place isn't much to look at but there is a ton of fun/funny stuff all over the walls. This is all you can eat a.k.a. serve yourself, but that's okay. If you're a fan of BBQ I couldn't reccomend this place more highly!

This place is not going to win any awards for decor or customer service, but for only $10 you get all the delicious pork and sides (and soda or tea) you can eat. You get a choice between BBQ with a mustard, tomato, or vinegar base. Gotta try the mac-n-cheese, just like I ate when I was little. Can't wait to return to Columbia for another visit to Little Pig's. Side note: Look at their website in the pig jokes section, very humorous.

Great quick, no frills restaurant. You pay for the buffet when you come in and serve yourself. Options are endless: 3 kinds of barbecue, standard BBQ sides like beans, greens and slaw. Tasty puddings for dessert.

To be honest it was good, but not nearly as noteworthy as others make it out to be. My favorite spot right now is Big T's, and so far I haven't found another place that has meat just falling off their ribs quite the same way.

Let's face it. You aren't going to a BBQ buffet for health reasons, so let's just live with the fact that you're gonna leave here stuffed to the gills with whatever it is you fell in love with underneath the sneezeguards. And boy is there a lot to fall in love with here... Mac n' cheese with like a factory of butter, a real pig pickin! (Dern that was some good rib meat!) Oh yeah, ribs, collards, hash n' rice, chicken salad, some good ol fried chicken, vinegar bbq, mustard bbq, and ketchup bbq, corn, hush puppies, bar fries, fried okra, and other things i didn't pay enough attention to because the aforementioned was so good.

This place has been around forever but only recently became popular. The bbq is great. The veggies taste like they have been injected wih butter(a good thing). The peanutbutter and chocolate dessert is wonderful.

Yet another barbecue buffet with dried out pork (unless you get the presauced kind which then is so saturated that it kills any taste of the pork you are eating) no detectable smoke, greasy fried chicken that is horribly under seasoned and cooked in old grease (my first thought was...a chicken died for this?), greasy sides on a buffet line, yada yada. Collards and barbeque beans were decent but everything else is just flat tasting. The banana pudding tastes like it came from a giant Cysco can. If you just want quantity (the place is packed) this could be your place though the Palmetto Pig is better. Not to be too preachy, but a pig is giving up its life so you can eat BBQ so a place should treat the ingredients with respect and cook it with love. If you want barbecue that is smoked over real wood, is moist, with a touch of sauce (if any) that you control, and tastes like cue is supposed to taste like, then keep moving. The search continues (sigh).

Oh my goodness... my tummy still hurts.... This is one of the best BBQ joints I've been to since I lived next to McCalls Seafood & BBQ back on the Crystal Coast! First things first: Best. Hushpuppies. Ever. Seriously. Ever! The tea was also on point! Even the macaroni had a good real cheesy taste unlike the usual grit that most folks try to pass off on their customers. The BBQ: Vinegar based - As is to be expected when cooking the pig with vinegar, it's pretty dry. The best way to use vinegar is to wood cook the pig and use peppered vinegar as a sauce. The pork was still edible and pretty decent with the homemade sauce. Tomato based - Even as a fan of vinegar based BBQ, this was my favorite. My wife's, too, who is an Eastern NC native and favors vinegar BBQ. Mustard based - It caught me off-guard because it was much sweeter and not nearly as tangy as I had been expecting. Once I got past the iniitial shock it was actually pretty decent. If I had to rank them, I'd say 1-tomato, 2-vinegar and 3-mustard. The country ribs actually weren't that great, with a strong grease taste, but that had no impact on my rating because 1) it was the bottom of the bin and had been laying in grease and, 2) I was more interested in the pulled pork. There was also a pig laying up there on it's own table if you wanted to pull your own. Unfortunately, I'm a big banana pudding guy and was interested in trying theirs but had stuffed myself so full by the 2nd plate that I didn't dare tempt fate. Maybe next time, because I most definitely will be making that trip again. The atmosphere didn't bother me at all. In fact, I'm used to that kind of decor and find it welcoming and homely. If this place was closer, like in Camden, then I would probably eat there every weekend.

This is a fantastic BBQ place. When we go to the Carolina Cup we always get a whole shoulder from Little Pigs. Everyone else has waxed poetic about the macaroni and cheese, hushpuppies, fried okra, hash over rice, etc. And of course the BBQ -- my favorite is the whole shoulder and the pulled bbq w/vinegar. One of the main reasons I get excited about going is the fried chicken livers. Yum yum. I'm not a fried gizzard fan, but those that have tried them say they're great. Although the fried chicken here is good -- I prefer the fried chicken at the Palmetto Pig. Overall, however, Little Pigs edges out the Palmetto Pig just based on the overall variety offered.

You have got to go to this place when in Columbia. the original burnt down a few months and the new one was rebuilt and it is exactly the same. Until i moved i used to visit this place every other week or so. My brother and i visited last Friday night and had to be wheeled out. Where else can you try all 3 top BBQ flavors. Tomato, vinegar and mustard. All are very good over the rice. Not a big fan of the hash and coleslaw but that is okay. Because everything else is great, especially the hush puppies. The crowd can be busy at lunch but just pull up a chair and start eating wherever you find a spot. the place is popular with the fort Jackson crowd, blue cross blue shield crowd and anybody else who may drive by. 2 tips they are closed on Mon, Tues and Sunday I believe. But that is like any good BBQ joint in the south. Also, the buffet on Wednesday leans more on the country side. But all still good. Get the hush puppies they are great

I am still full..... and it's been like 4 hours since i ate here... i decided to try this place out because 1) it had a relatively good amount of reviews compared to other places in the area that im in which means that ppl actually want to write about their experience here and 2) i figured since im in the south, i need to stop looking for asian restaurants and try something signature of the south... so i went for bbq... and i was not dissapointed... the setup here really reminds me of someplace a church would have congregatinal meals... really homey... and lotz of stuff on the wall (but i didn't get to read much cuz i was stuffing my face)... but really cheap price for the awesome food provided... as other reviews have mentioned, they have pulled pork bbqed 3 diff ways... i think i liked the fact that they have a large selection of sides more than anything else... the collard greens... the cole slaw... the CORN!! i don't think i've ever tasted corn this good... the hush puppies were good as well, just like somebody mentioned... needless to say, i was very impressed... i didn't get a chance to tackle the full pig, as they had just taken the remains of it to the back ( i got there around 7:40pm and they close at 9) but everything else was D-lish! i don't even think i got to try have of the food there because i was stuffed from my first filling of everything... and to top it off, the banana pudding and the chocolate pudding... i almost passed on the dessert because i was so full, but decided i should try some just so i would know for next time... good & bad decision... good because it was good... bad because i wanted more.... they've added some kind of peanut butter chunks to their chocolate pudding ( i think reeses) and nilla wafers to their banana... ummm... The only reason i'm giving this place a four is because of the simple fact that i have yet to try any other bbq in this area... in my opinion, this place warrants 5 stars.... so after my stay here... if i don't find a better place, this review will get updated for five... --------------------------------------------------Â--------------------------------------------- I have to update this to a five star... after some of my other bbq experiences here in the south... this place rocks!

A great, inexpensive BBQ buffet in the Northeast area. Great variety and quality, especially considering the price. Little Pigs is my go-to BBQ place when I don't feel like hauling myself across town to Hudson's.

The BBQ selection is great plus you get a down home feel. The BBQ has three different bases: vinegar, tomato and something else. The selection is pretty nice and the lemonade is very sweet and tasty. Kind of give you a down home feel all for around $10. Always busy at lunch time.

Great food for a great price. County BBQ style all you can eat. three different pulled pork (tomato based, vinegar based, and mustard based) ribs, veggies, and desserts. Great friendly atmosphere. their saying is be careful you might get addicted. And they are right. We will be going back for seconds and thirds.

This is a country BBQ place that could work on the atmosphere but has the food right on. The buffet is all you can eat with all 3 types of BBQ styles. The restaurant itself could use a remodel however that is par for the course at most mom and pop BBQ joints.
This is supposed to be the best BBQ place in Columbia (according to several reviews). While it was good and I would definitely eat there again, it wasn't mind-blowing. The restaurant is fairly small. We waited in line for 20 mins outside before coming. The buffet area was extremely cramped. I'm kind of weird when it comes to crowds in tight spaces. There are plenty of delicious sides: Green Beans, collards, BBQ beans, rice, dirty rice, mashed potatoes, hash gravy, cole slaw, potato salad, candied yams, macaroni & cheese, and sweet corn. The collard greens were amazing. The hash left something to be desired. Very meaty and watery (not the consistency I'm used to). 3 types of BBQ (cooked in the sauce): mustard, tomato, vinegar. Personally, I don't like my pulled pork cooked in the sauce . . . I like to apply it myself afterward. Kielbasa sausage on the buffet was great. Ribs on a $10 buffet?! The highlight of the buffet is a pick-from-the-pig station. 4 stars is too high, 3 too low. I'd give this a solid 3.5.

Best dang southern buffet in the world. Best BBQ in SC. I feel at home when I come here, and you will never leave less than stuffed. This place is popular, so be prepared for a line at dinner time! They are so catering my wedding

I love Little Pigs! The food is so delicious and I can tell it's all homemade. Everything on the buffet is always fresh. There are 3 kinds of barbecue sauce but my favorite is the mustard base. You can't go wrong with the macaroni and cheese, homemade potato chips, and ribs. I just wish the restaurant was larger or that they would open another location. Sometimes there's a wait for a table (but the food is worth the wait!). For less than $10 for a buffet, you won't find better.

First of all, they have some weird hours, so be aware before you head over there. Though I'm not super familiar with Carolina-style BBQ, I get the gist of it and certainly know what tastes good. I have to say we were a little disappointed with the place. The meat was generally pretty dry--all of it. The best tasting of the bunch was the brisket, and it was the bottom of the bin. The sides were pretty terrific. Mac & cheese was rich, corn was sweet, beans were nice and salty. Since we made it there about 20 minutes before closing, I suppose it's possible we didn't really get to have the freshest of food. A one-off opinion isn't always the best. But we were excited for some great southern BBQ and left kind of disappointed.

This place ALWAYS hits the spot! Home cooked food and as much as your little heart desires??! I'm in! We took family here that was from out of town and they loved it too. Price is right and their sweet tea is amazing too! ;) If you're in the area, go!

My wife and I have been eating at Little Pigs for years and it just keeps getting better. The food is always fresh and delicious. Family run business and they make everyone feel at home. With that homemade taste that your mom would spend all day cooking just for her family. From there family to yours.

We went for dinner buffet on Friday around 6:30pm and it was extremely busy. We waited about 10min for a table for two to become available. I'd say the food was average. It wasnt the worst food Ive ever had and it wasnt the best. I would have given the third star if the food was hot but most of it was room temp. But it was only $10 so it was about what I expected.

Wow, what a huge buffet. Mustard BBQ was good, along with mac & cheese, sausages, green beans, corn, slaw, potato salad, baked beans, hush puppies, hash & rice, fried okra.....and so much more. There were many items I didn't get to try, because I was so full. Buffet comes with a drink (soft drinks, tea, lemonade), and it's $11 "out the door" in the evening. I got there at 7:30, and there was still a line at the cash register. Great place.

Buffet's are not my thing. I typically find them to be gross, the food disgusting and generally and unpleasant experience. This place definitely did not fit that description at all. Granted, I got there when they first opened. All and all the food was very tasty. Having tried a number of things I couldn't find anything I just couldn't eat, and almost everything on my plate was very very good. The banana pudding was absolutely amazing. Now I want more. As for the atmosphere, the family style seating was nice and the staff were very friendly. If I lived around here I would definitely come back again.

Fair disclosure: a co-workers brother owns this place which is how I found out about it. I've eaten lunch here many times and oh boy is it yummy!!! I'm from the Midwest and this was one of my first exposures to South Carolina cooking and it's definitely one of the best. The food is served buffet style. You walk in, pay them a ridiculously small amount of money - less then $10 for lunch including drink & dessert. Then grab a plate and start filling her up. Note the buffet is double sided so beware the first time you go and take small amounts or you'll run out of room before you run out of buffet. It starts with cold salad items, onto vegetables, rices, potatoes, then meats. The salads are fairly traditional. Then onto vegetables - do NOT miss the collard greens or the green beans. And definitely leave room for some hush puppies! My oh my I love love LOVE their hush puppies! My other favorite is their Tomato Pie - it's got a pot pie type crust on top and oh baby it's delicious! The mostly complete list of foods is: Green Beans Collards BBQ Beans Rice Dirty Rice Mashed Potatoes Hash Gravy Cole Slaw Potato Salad Candied Yams Macaroni & Cheese Sweet Corn Corn on the Cob Fried Okra Fried Potato Chips Hush puppies Pork Rinds Tomato Pie Next is the fish and meats: they've got: Barbecue - Tomato, Mustard, Vinegar-Pepper BBQ Ribs Pork Chops Fried Chicken BBQ Chicken Chicken Wings Fried Fish Beef brisket FYI: On the backside of the dessert station is another "meat station" - usually has a whole pig and the meat just falls apart using tongs. They've got a few different sauces to choose from including the SC mustard and NC vinegar. Desserts are fairly simple - if you've got any room left after that buffet - banana pudding, chocolate pudding and peach slices. If Mom cooked collard greens and green beans the way they do she'd have had no problems getting me to eat them - matter of fact I'd have lived on em. Sorry Mom! They've got a warning on their sign that says "eating here may be habit forming" and they aren't kidding. So don't blame me if you try it and find yourself returning again and again!!

Price was right. Very good mustard and vinegar based BBQ. I picked it because of the Yelp 4 star rating and was very happy. There were 6 in our party and all enjoyed the meal.

Outstanding home cooking/ BBQ. The mustard based pork was very good( my personal favorite). Lots of freshly cooked vegetables, excellent hush puppies, and pretty good sweet tea. The only drawback was a shortcoming in the dessert section. What more could a southern boy ask for?

We had heard great things about this BBQ, but we didn't think it was very good. The meat was tough and had way too much mustard in it. Actually, mustard is all you can taste in many of their dishes. We won't go back.

Packed out, long wait. Fair price, nice staff. Having experienced the best of KC barbecue I was excited for some Southern barbecue. I was disappointed. The meat itself was lacking anything to distinguish itself as superb. The mustard barbecue was the best of the meats but even that was sub-par. Not worth the wait; there must be better Southern barbecue.

Excellent food, great price, great service! The place was packed but we were moved through the line quickly. The lady clearing the tables was on top of clearing and finding a table as each person walked through the door. She was also very friendly while doing it. I love southern hospitality!

Little Pigs BBQ is one of my favorite restaurants in all of Columbia. Even my wife - who usually dreads buffets - loves this place! They serve up excellent tomato-, vinegar-, and mustard-based barbecue surrounded by a myriad of other mouthwatering meats and splendid southern sides. The sweet tea is perfect and you definitely won't want to skip dessert. It's a gloriously unassuming place where the line stretches to the door, the plates are made of styrofoam, and absolutely no one leaves hungry. At Little Pigs, the only worry you'll ever have is filling up before you've had a chance to try everything you wanted to. :) No problem! They're open for lunch five days a week and dinner three days a week so you can keep coming back for more. Awesome food, outstanding value, and local charm make this the place to go for a serious southern supper.

I tried to eat here twice. One was a published closed day, my bad. The other was a day and time that yelp said they were otherwise open, which was a thursday at 8:20p. Surprise! closed again. Even the sign out front said they were supposed to be open until 8:30p (yelp said 9p-I submitted that to be fixed). Ok, it's one thing to close your inside seating early, but it's entirely another to close your take out window early. One message is pretty clear. Closing up that early tells customers to go away, they don't want your business. Easy enough. Long standing aphorism in the restaurant business: A happy customer tells no more than three people. An unhappy customer tells no less than ten. I'll tell yelp.

(5)paul D.
(5)Amanda R.
(5)Michael K.

(1)Ty B.
(2)Mike L.
The best BBQ in Columbia! Everything they put out is delicious. I always stop by when i'm in the capital city.
(5)Rich N.
We were driving through Columbia and read the reviews for this place. It was excellent. Inexpensive, friendly staff, great food. It was great, authentic South Carolina BBQ. We highly recommend it. Be sure to try all the veggies and the meats. I walked away stuffed.
(5)Dan O.
Took me a year and a half to get back to Little Pigs after my last visit. Arrived right when they opened for lunch- a number of items on the buffet were not warm yet. Cold barbecue is not very appealing. Will be a long time before I go back, maybe never. Too many better barbecue places to eat.
(2)Karie N.
(5)Kevin G.
(5)Rob M.
Its ok. The BBQ was not bad, not great. Tables were sticky, paper plates. But they must be doing something right, it was packed.
(3)Rick T.
Pretty good place for some Q been coming here since I was a wee lad of five. Try the buffet they have tons of stuff to choose from.
(3)Nat C.
(5)Joshua M.
(4)Paul M.
(5)Bethany P.
(5)Jackie P.
(5)Amanda Y.
I have been on a business trips to Columbia, SC for two weeks, and I've gone to LIttle Pigs Barbecue twice! It's absolutely delicious, and the price is awesome! Try the macacroni and cheese, AMAZING!
(4)Kellie K.
I love this place. I was with family and waited for a while but it is well worth it.
(5)Barry G.
(3)Jamie S.
Most favorite place to eat!!! Wanted to get them to cater my wedding. Food is the best southern food around! Doesn't get any better than this!
(5)Lisa N.
(5)Jim J.
This place should be on Diners Drive Ins and Dives! For $10 you can choose from a wide selection of tasty food on the buffet. The Mac and cheese and mashed potatoes and gravy are to die for! If you are close this place is worth a visit.
(5)Tim O.
Great food, the best I've had in years. The folks working there need to go back to southern hospitality school. Pretty rude and even when being nice to them they couldn't help but be even ruder. Go for the food not the folks that work there!!
(5)Jennifer B.
(4)Bruce K.
(5)Sunday S.
Stopped on the way to Mrytle Beach today for lunch. Everything was delicious! You will not be disappointed!
(5)Jay Kevin R.
(5)Aaron R.
(4)David R.
Dangerously good. Be prepared to overeat . . .
(4)Matthew K.
Great BBQ, great sides, and only $10 a plate. If anything ever made me decide to move to this god forsaken state, it would be this joint. I would have diabetes within my first year as a South Carolinian, all from eating at Little Pigs. YUM!!!
(5)David S.
i have been to littlle pigs several times it will fill you up in no time but be for warned come with a empty stomach and be ready to eat you hearts content i do recommend this place for lunch or dinner
(5)James I.
(4)Alberto S.
Alberto
(5)Allison H.
(5)Jimmy W.
(1)Eddie C.
I was amazed at how much great food was on the lunch buffet. The cost was very inexpensive for what you got. The catfish needed a few more minutes in the fryer but pulled pork was excellent. Duck master
(5)J. P.
so i often think about going back to south carolina just to eat at this place. it's an all-you-can-eat southern buffet - their specialty being all different kinds of pulled pork (mustard based which is south carolina style, vinegar-based, which is north carolina style, and tomato based-memphis style).
(5)Jonathan R.
Little pigs is a throw back to simple homestyle dining. The food is made with care and it tastes great to boot. I've been 3 times and each time it was delicious and the service was great as well. If you want good BBQ in a comfortable environment... Little pigs is a must!
(5)Jane D.
Awesome selection of chicken and pork BBQ and sides on the buffet. I found the meat to be dry. It's a great place to take a group and for the price you will be satisfied and not leave hungry, but it also won't be the best BBQ you ever tasted. Don't come here if you are counting calories.
(3)Ken M.
(4)Amber M.
Off the beaten path, but some very good food. I very much enjoyed the vinegar bbq, and my husband loved the mustard based. All of the sides we tried had great flavor. They are lacking in some dessert options.
(4)Tiffany G.
Super yummy!! The Sunday buffet is any BBQ lovers dream! You can't help but go back for seconds (or thirds); we needed to be rolled out. The banana pudding is a must have to round out the meal; make room, trust me! We will be coming back on our next trip through SC.
(5)Andrea G.
(4)alicia g.
we are from out of town here for my brothers graduation from basic so I did yelp and we picked this place it was great food would go back if we ever came back here
(5)Alex C.
(5)Dylan T.
(4)Felicia S.
The buffet is phenomenal. I was passing through on business from Atlanta and stopped in. The fried pork chops are amazing. The mac and cheese is delish. There were so many tasty items to choose from, I was overwhelmed.
(5)Keith K.
This place has limited days it opens but the pork is great!!!! lol -- Nice variety of barbeque styles and the pork chops are great..... The sides are okay, but the star of this show is for meat lovers!
(4)Michelle S.
(4)Jay N.
(4)arlene d.
(3)Justin T.
Great food at a great price. Crowded all the time but well worth the wait!
(5)Jimmy B.

(3)Melissa W.
Little Pigs has three different kinds of barbecue and all of the vegetables that you expect to see served with a barbecue buffet. The food is excellent. I would have given this restaurant five stars except that the noise level at times is unbearable. I avoid the busiest times and eat here about every six weeks. I love them!
(4)Andre P.

(4)S W.
(4)Patrick M.
(5)Scar G.
omg want to see wierrrrrd people stop here during the buffet hours, like we did. oh GREAT FOOD. GREAT SELECTION. wings, ribs and briskets were awesome.
(3)Ryan D.
When you factor in the price $7.50, the quality (great), and the number of choices, this is easily the best BBQ joint I've been too. They have every fixing and about twelve different meat choices. You name it they've got it. But best of all it taste great. All you can eat and delicious, you Just can't ask for more.

Wifey said..."Wow this place amazed me.

(3)Nicole M.
(4)Paul B.

Yummmmy.
(5)Chip O.
This is an all you can eat BBQ buffet. They have a great selection of sides and have some good mac and cheese! This place is at the top of my list for BBQ joints in Columbia.
(5)Minsoo P.
Despite the fact that it's a buffet with paper plates and cups, it's some of the best BBQ I've had in a long while. Awesome mac & cheese, fried chicken and pulled pork & ribs. Loved it! Highly recommended.
(4)Tracy G.
(5)Angela L.
(4)K B.
Great quick, no frills restaurant. You pay for the buffet when you come in and serve yourself. Options are endless: 3 kinds of barbecue, standard BBQ sides like beans, greens and slaw. Tasty puddings for dessert.
(4)Dan K.
My Brother first took me to Little Pigs and it's a great Bar-B-Que place. Good pulled pork, sauce, vegetables, sides, drinks, all for one price. Well worth a try.
(5)Marc M.
To be honest it was good, but not nearly as noteworthy as others make it out to be. My favorite spot right now is Big T's, and so far I haven't found another place that has meat just falling off their ribs quite the same way.
(3)Nicholas K.
(4)Josh N.
See my photo.....n'uff said!
(5)Tina C.
This place has been around forever but only recently became popular. The bbq is great. The veggies taste like they have been injected wih butter(a good thing). The peanutbutter and chocolate dessert is wonderful.
(5)Jonathan Z.

(5)Charles O.

(5)Anton G.
It's not bad, but nothing special, in my opinion.
(2)Jaime N.
A great, inexpensive BBQ buffet in the Northeast area. Great variety and quality, especially considering the price. Little Pigs is my go-to BBQ place when I don't feel like hauling myself across town to Hudson's.
(4)Nick B.
The BBQ selection is great plus you get a down home feel. The BBQ has three different bases: vinegar, tomato and something else. The selection is pretty nice and the lemonade is very sweet and tasty. Kind of give you a down home feel all for around $10. Always busy at lunch time.
(4)Brittany and Tim L.
(5)John J.
This is a country BBQ place that could work on the atmosphere but has the food right on. The buffet is all you can eat with all 3 types of BBQ styles. The restaurant itself could use a remodel however that is par for the course at most mom and pop BBQ joints.
(4)Brad P.
It is with dismay as a North Carolinian I must say Three Little Pigs(a South Carolina barbeque place) is absolutely fabulous. I knew when I saw how full parking lot was at 2 in the afternoon it was going to be They had four different types of pulled pork barbeque, a Memphis like version, a Carolina style, a mustard based, and quarter of a pig(pig pick'n style). The variety and quality of sides was impressive each one better than the previous. Atmosphere 5 - The décor is as it should be cement floor, plain tables and chairs, and local flair on the walls. It just felt like a country barbeque joint. No pretense just lots of good food. Service 3 - I didn't have any interactions with the staff good or bad. You pay for your meal and belly up to the bar. Cost/Value 6 - Given how high the food quality was I would have said it was a good value at twice what I paid. Food 6 - The food quality was fantastic. Every dish I tried was great..

(4)Maggie C.
Best dang southern buffet in the world. Best BBQ in SC. I feel at home when I come here, and you will never leave less than stuffed. This place is popular, so be prepared for a line at dinner time! They are so catering my wedding
(5)Mary B.
(5)Jeffrey C.
(3)Jess B.
This place ALWAYS hits the spot! Home cooked food and as much as your little heart desires??! I'm in! We took family here that was from out of town and they loved it too. Price is right and their sweet tea is amazing too! ;) If you're in the area, go!
(5)Chad A.
Extreemly reasonably priced southern cuisine that has a little something for everyone, usually no wait, and super casual that has quality ingredients.
(5)Bruce L.
My wife and I have been eating at Little Pigs for years and it just keeps getting better. The food is always fresh and delicious. Family run business and they make everyone feel at home. With that homemade taste that your mom would spend all day cooking just for her family. From there family to yours.
(5)Courtney W.
This place is DELICIOUS. Every type of pulled pork you can think of, along with every homemade side you can think of. This little place cooks food how you want to eat it. It's a must!!
(5)Zemy A.
(2)Kim M.
Amazing array of super tasty, southern food! My picky 10 and 8 year olds loved the choices. Very reasonable prices.
(5)Jonathan V.
(4)Aaron R.
(5)Mona D.
(5)Ken P.
Price was right. Very good mustard and vinegar based BBQ. I picked it because of the Yelp 4 star rating and was very happy. There were 6 in our party and all enjoyed the meal.
(4)James J.
(4)Tess F.
We had heard great things about this BBQ, but we didn't think it was very good. The meat was tough and had way too much mustard in it. Actually, mustard is all you can taste in many of their dishes. We won't go back.
(1)Joshua J.
(2)Brandy B.
Excellent food, great price, great service! The place was packed but we were moved through the line quickly. The lady clearing the tables was on top of clearing and finding a table as each person walked through the door. She was also very friendly while doing it. I love southern hospitality!
(5)Reginald F.
First time eating here, I was truly impressed with the food, the employees, I left there fat and happy. I look forward to coming again, thanks for winning me over :)
(5)Arron A.
