A Mexican restaurant with no horchata? Wow, that's a first.... But I guess I can't expect it to be like the Mexican restaurants out in Chicago, where there Are a huge population of Mexicans. AnywAy, the atmosphere was great. The staff was friendly, the food was good. Being that this town is off the ocean, my husband an I tried their ceviche and fish tacos. Both were really good... Fresh... And delicious! I'll be coming here again.

Cult favorite in Charleston, but not for me. I definitely experiences some weird stomach issues (unrelated to alcohol) with the piña colada, and the chimichanga was a pretty poor excuse for Mexican food. My friend had the burrito which was basically a medium sized taco on the largest plate. Trying Juanita's, next.

This is our second visit and this time we ordered the Chicken Fajita or two. The food was hot, tasty, and very plentiful. With a price if just under $ 20.- it was also the lowest price I have ever found for this dish. If their was a downside it was the seating which was hard wooden benches. I also found the chips and salsa was hot which few restaurants bother to do.

This is a hole in the wall with cheap Mexican food, but they have very good fajitas and decent beans and rice. Not as good as California Mexican food, but pretty decent. I don't love the ground beef tacos, but anything with chicken or steak is good.

Yes it's just that good! If you're hungry and looking for lots of Mexican food that's cheap, tasty and comes out hot, look no more! I used to go to this place with a bunch of friends on Sundays for Fish bowl Margaritas; steak, chicken and shrimp fajitas, which are the bomb!

This place is located close to the Tanger Outlets in nice shopping plaza. The atmosphere is really nice they were playing mexican music. The decor was trendy and up-to-date. It was really clean and the staff were very friendly. They brought us freshly made chips and homeade salsa. It was warm and fresh and delicious. Our food came out quickly served hot just like comfort food is supposed to be. It was your average mexican place but leaning more towards the authentic taste rather than tex mex. I would definately eat here again. My wife had the enchiladas verdes and I had the enchilada super rancheros. They were both great. The waitress was very attentive and friendly. Our drinks were replenished promtply and we felt very well taken care of there. I was really impressed and if you're ever shopping around that area and are hungry for some rice and beans I recommend you try this place out.

Do not, do not, do not be fooled by the less-than-inviting exterior of La Hacienda - the dining that awaits you inside more than makes up for the strip mall appearance. The menu is surprisingly diverse for what some might refer to as a "hole-in-the-wall" restaurant, and the prices are unequivocally delightful. My husband and I went there for dinner on a Friday night, left absolutely stuffed, and paid a grand total of $15. As far as Mexican goes, I'm a fan.

Eh .. Not great. I noticed they are remolding so the bare walls weren't welcoming but i understand process.. So ate outside.. For shrimp salad (my fav) wasn't horrible but not great, also habanero was watered down. The guacamole was great tho but that about it.. Was disappointed really

While my wife enjoyed her meal of tacos with rice and beans, I did not care for my burrito meal at all which hardly had any taste. The service was just ok, and be aware of the tap water-tastes just like garden hose. The guacamole was pretty good, but that's about the only thing.

There's just something about dive Mexican restaurants that makes them totally addictive!! I will never be able to get quite enough of them. My parents and I stopped by this place after a fun afternoon of geocaching. From the outside it looked pretty terrible, but beggars can't be choosers on New Years Day, right? The food, however, was delicious--when our order was finally put in correctly that is. Our waiter insisted on "memorizing" the order and he screwed up a solid two or three times. The funny part is that we communicated with him in Spanish, which usually garners a little bit more respect. Oh well. At least he kept the free salsa and chips piled high! Despite that, it was still a very enjoyable meal. The whole restaurant was in a joyful mood (in honor of the holiday) and the mariachi music was on full blast. If you love Mexican, and have a sense of humor, give this spot a chance.

Consistant, reliable, what you'd expect. This is your regular Mexican restaurant. You probably already know exactly what is on the menu before you go, and you know how the food will be. The food is good, and the service is usually on the spot. Cinco de Mayo was nuts, but that was to be expected. Despite the wicked ridiculous wait, the server was very friendly and wasn't letting the stress of having the entire back room packed and all to himself. This place won't blow you away, but it's not bad. It's where I go to get my fix every now and then.

I used to knock super cheap Mexican places like La Ha, all of which feature slight variations on the same menu. But within the admittedly limited genre, La Hacienda gets it right for me. Sometimes you just need a bigass frozen peach daiquiri and tangy, sloppy cheese enchiladas on your lunch break. And this is the perfect place to find them. Keep that runny salsa coming, amigos.
