Pizza
Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.
Italian Cuisine
The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.
Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.
If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

We had been here before and had a good experience. But we had a completely different experience this time! My wife, baby and best friend wanted to go out for a pizza and since we live in edgewood decided to try fellini pizzeria again. The hostess and server were GREAT, but the food well that is where it all went down hill. We ordered a ceasar salad, focaccia bread with garlic, and a pizza. We all tried a bit of everything, once the bill came my best friend paid with his credit card it was around 8 pm. Once we got home everyone started feeling sick, EVERYONE, All three of us constant trips to the bathrom, and throughout the night, believe me it was not FUN. The next morning my best friend calls ( as he lives in North Providence) and says I left my credit card there can you call or stop by and pick it up. I say sure I went to fellini and they were closed it was 10 am, so I called at 11am. The lady on the phone was not very helpful when I told her we left our credit card , basicaly she said no you did not. So I tell my buddy he's like thats the last place we went then we were in the bathroom all night long.....So I decide to call again, now another lady answers the phone, she replies " you just called we didn't steal your card" Well excuse me, I just want you to check again! Is that a big deal after you charge $25 for a PIZZAAA???? Long story short called and cancelled the card, and I will not be going to fellini pizzeria again, and will be telling all my neighbors about our experience. Edgewood is a close community by the way! If the owner reads these, maybe you should retrain your staff!

First visit impressions. Totally fun, charming, and comfortable environment: each seating area--indeed each seat--has its own personality, each room comfortable, even homey. Classic pizza-place menu selections but each one seems to have its own unique twist. Everything we ordered was very good. The beer selection is amply adequate. Definitely more than your regular neighborhood pizza eatery--this is a place worth the trip from wherever you are. Eager to return and enjoy the outdoor seating as well.

They have EXTREMELY delicious pizza and salads, and the subs are quite good too! We've only done take-out, and have always satisfied. The only issue is that they are on the slow side - food is typically done 10 minutes later than the predicted pick-up time.

So happy to have Fellini's in the village!!! Their pizza toppings are some of the most creative in PVD, and so delicious and fresh. I love the thin crust. This is one of PVD's pricier pies, but the portions are ginormous and well worth it. I am docking their fifth star ONLY because they do not have pineapple as a topping option (which boggles my mind whenever I peruse their menu). Pro tip: order the barbecue chicken pizza, but sub pulled pork for the chix)

I really like this place. I was happy they expanded out of Providence. The staff is very good at their jobs and the pizza is just great. A little tough to find as it is set back from the road in a small plaza.

What's gone wrong with Fellini Pawtuxet??? Pasta salad that's not fully cooked?? Sandwiches with a small amount of filling down the center and mostly bread?? Newsflash owner Kristy..this is not Wickenden Street with college student clientele, this is Pawtuxet Village with residents on both Edgewood side and Gaspee side who are professionals. We can easily choose to spend our $100.00 plus across the street at Basta or further up Post Road at Portofino/Legal Seafood #consistency#provide a quality product.

I just have to say that I may have had the best pizza of my life the other night. Confession: We've been back to Fellini's about 6 or seven times since they opened this location. The food is just that good. Last time we got the "SWEET HEAVEN" pizza. Yikes, that's a good pizza. Also, the wings seem to be getting better every time- maybe the oven is getting "smokier"? All i know is, if you think that you know Fellini's from experiences on Wickenden St - -you gotta give this location a try!

I stopped into Fillini's, largely due to its location and large visible outdoor signage. Lots of great pizza's to choose from and those pizza's pesented on top of the display are available to be sold by the slice. I had two slices of pizza layered with sausage peperoni and bacon. The slices were fairly large so if you have a small appetite one slice should be plenty. The restaurant was clean and comfortable. The wait staff was very friendly and I wouldn't hesitate coming back again.

Visited RI last week and loved everything about this place. You can order by the slice, or an entire pie. Appetizers are to die for (our favorites were the wings, mediterranean plate, and house salad). All the pizzas are delicious, but the Kitchen sink was our favorite! Expect a long wait on weekends (approximately 1 hour, but worth it). The owner Kristy and General Manager Steph made sure all our needs were met (we had a very large group). Final thing we loved....Full Bar!

This is a fantastic addition to the exploding restaurant scene in Pawtuxet Village! Beautiful space, friendly staff, fast service and a great place to take the kids. Pies one size only, but they also serve slices. The sandwiches and salads are also great choices. And in nice weather, the front windows open up for fresh air.

Fun environment but the music is a little loud if you have a lot of people and want to chat. For just a party of two this place works. They have the funkiest toppings on a pizza but it somehow works. Got the chicken waffle pizza...had to try it...it was unique but tasted great. Also tried the kielbasa pizza and the arugula pizza both were excellent. I suggest ordering by the slice to be able to try different types and cutting them in half to share with others to try several. You must order the cherry pepper appetizer, it is stuffed with prosciutto and cheese, amazing!!

I came here for the first time last night and now LOVE this place. We were looking for a place to eat in the neighborhood, Saturday night around 8, and had tried several spots where the wait was way too long for our liking. We came into Fellini's and they found us a table right away. We actually decided to switch and sit at the bar and they were cool with that as well. There was plenty of space, but it wasn't empty. We got drinks at the bar and got up to pick out our slices of pizza, which were warmed and delivered to us at the bar. My pizza was DELICIOUSNESS--I got The Villager and am already craving eating it again. I also tried the wine cocktail and it was perfection. Our bartender was super friendly, the food and drinks came quickly and were delicious, the atmosphere was perfect. I'm so excited to go back.

My boyfriend and I went to Fellini in Cranston today. They just started doing "Appy Hour." I ordered the Caesar salad and garlic knots. He ordered the chicken wings. They also have a deal where you can get a beer (normally about $5-$6) and a slice of pizza for $6.50. They have outdoor seating. We called ahead to make sure we could bring the pup. The service was good. Courtney was our server. She was nice and attentive. The hostess was very friendly. The food was good. Petty complaints: My salad had too much dressing out in. The flavor was great. Croutons were amazing. Quality lettuce. Delicious cheese. Just drown in dressing. The garlic knots lacked a lot of flavor. Despite the roasted garlic cloves stuffed in the dough, they just didn't have that overwhelming garlic & butter I expected. The dough quality is high. The marinara dipping sauce was delicious. The decor inside is really nice. The ladies room was REALLY dark; not well lit at all. Overall, everything was fine. I didn't have a slice so I can't compare it to the Providence branch.

We have been visiting the Cranston restaurant since it opened. On our last visit we had pizza and a salad, with drinks. When we finish our meal after waiting 30 minutes I had to go look for the waiter. I could not find him in the unit. Finally 10 minutes later he showed up with our bill, and the bill was wrong. Then we had to wait again while they tried to figure it out. The service at this location has continually gone down hill since the waitress Susan left. The only person that was working very hard was the man making the salads. We love the food and salads but from now on we will only purchase take out. The wait staff definitely needs more training. This is NOT the one on wickenden. The crust of this pizza is made with pure mouth burning salt. Not just a complete let down, a 26 dollar pizza that is completely and utterly in edible. I was willing to chalk up the first time to new restaurant glitches however, a few months in and still completely wretch worthy.

My 1st experience here at Fellini was during a Friday evening with the place so full My friend and I couldn't even get a seat at the bar while waiting to be seated. Now I realize this sounds like a bad thing, but let me tell you, the service was so attentive I was actually slightly terrified. I don't know where the staff gets their energy, but they are completely on point. While waiting for seating we were offered slices of Chicken Waffle pizza, which on my second visit I learned was only available that one time. (I later cried in my car.) Shortly afterwards my friend and I were seated, allowing us to fully take in, and appreciate how well designed the location is. Most of the place is nautically themed, in a subtle way that doesn't shove Rhode Island down your throat. The film canister flower pots were a nice touch too, but back to the food. The pies here are eclectic and delicious. It can be sometimes difficult to choose, but you win regardless of what you order. The pizzas are pretty big, so if you aren't attending as a group there is a good chance you're going to have a good lunch the following day. They don't serve hard liquor but they have a nice selection of beer and wine. Fillini's is a nice addition to the Pawtuxet area. I'm glad they are open for business.

Hidden gem... Beautiful decor! Delicious creative pizza! Friendly Staff! Awesome Jams! I visited tonight (a Friday evening) around 6pm. For a busy time there was a wait but the staff was very attentive to my friend and I hanging by the bar. The space isn't large but more so cozy. The bar was packed so we waited by the stools near the kitchen. A friendly chef gave us a sample of a specialty 'Waffle & Chicken' pizza, which was INCREDIBLE! Deciding on which type of pizza to get was a hard choice, definitely will return to try more.

Really awful. First off, why don't we start off with the services. The service was tosh. It took forever to complete the most basic of tasks. But most important is the food. I started off with an salad. The lettuce tasted completely stale. The tomatoes were dry. Just poor. The pizza though, that's another disgrace. It was incredibly greasy. Left a feeling like you just drank oil in your mouth because quite frankly it was awful. You wouldn't think that pizza is hard to botch, but this place proves you wrong. Awful. Would not come back.
(1)Tina Z.
I stopped in one evening for a quick bite with my daughter. We ordered a couple of slices and the wings. The wings were awesome. They are not breaded, but come with caramelized onions and blue cheese dressing. I also ordered a veggie slice and a buffalo chicken slice. The buffalo chicken pizza is amazing! The service is also worth noting. Our server was very attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. I am a fan!
(4)Ken P.
I love it I just found out they have a 2nd location in pawtuxet village and I needed to come for lunch. I don't know what the deal with some of the shitty rating but their is nothing wrong with the pizza and it tastes fine. The crust is good just like the providence location. I'm a lover of all types of pizza, sandwiches and tasty desserts.
(5)Shaun L.
I was a little underwhelmed by the pizza, honestly. It was ok but nothing to write home about. The salad I had with it was very good and they have a good beer and wine selection too. The service was very friendly. So despite the lower marks for the pizza, the service and price is reasonable and the location is very nice as well.
(2)Bethany S.
This is one of my favorite pizza joints in Providence! They have such a wide variety of choices and I've never had a bad slice here. They also have lots of really yummy pasta/potato salads and other sides to go with your meal. It's a great spot to grab a quick lunch or stop in for some late night munchies!
(5)Colleen M.
While I've never made it to the Wickenden location I'd heard good things and have been anxiously awaiting the grand opening. I've stopped in twice. The first time we sat down as a family and shared a pie. The second time we took a couple slices to go. Both visits were great. I was pleasantly surprised at the size and layout of the place, it didn't look like it would be that large from the outside. The first visit my husband and I shared a salad that was HUGE. We had the meatlover's since that was what the boys wanted. While it was too much meat for me, it certainly was delicious for what it was. There was a ton of meat, any meatlover would be in heaven. They just opened but I wouldn't have guessed it based on the quick, friendly service. I was anxious to try some of the other pizzas so we stopped in for a quick lunch. We walked in, chose a couple slices and were on our way in a few minutes. It was quicker than fast food and so much better. Fellini's is a great addition to the village.

I've known this location since the video store was here. And I can't believe it's part of the same building. It's like a Dr. Who Tardis in there. It's beautiful inside. Great bar, pub tables, low tables, comfy chairs, pizza palace half moon booths on the slice side, kitchen theater ... Pinball... Now: the food. Small Garden salad is GIANT! 3 kinds of olives, banana peppers, marinated mushrooms, roasted red peppers, sliced squash, red onion, shaved parm. INSANITY!!!!! Then one slice with sausage and ... Stuff... And as it was amazing and all it was eclipsed by the Pumpkin pizza. Pumpkin in the sauce, bacon, chicken, spinach. Best slice I've ever had. Literally. Ever. Lovely service. Positive energy. Decent price. I will be returning;-) Great addition to The Village.

I would like to talk about my experience at Fellini's pizza, at this point on a scale of 1 to 10 they get a GIANT-0 My first experience at Fellini's pizza in Cranston was extremely poor! poor service right from the beginning! As I waited 45 minutes for a table, the hostess skip over us completely gave our table to someone else. Then said sorry can't do nothing for you so it's a 20 minute wait before you get a table. she told me that she asked everyone in the restaurant, when the entire time I was standing a total of maybe 5 feet from the hostess stand. Someone else possibly a manager came over to us to apologize offered to buy me a beer or dessert which they never came through on. When I finally get a table and our order was taken the server never picked up the menus or brought us silverware or plates until after the pizza arrives which also took another 30 minutes. I will say the pizza was good, After we finished we sat there for a good 15 minutes before anyone pass by to pick up plates and give us box to package our leftovers and we never once was asked if we needed second round of drinks. My second experience with filling pizza which I should have never given them a second chance. I call them to order a pizza on their front of their menu, on the back of the menu and inside of their menu it says free delivery! I called and asked for a delivery and they proceed to tell me they don't have delivery not until October. If your going to advertise a service you should be able to provide that service! If that service is limited to a certain time of year it should state it on your menu. UP DATED 11-28-2014 FAIL AGAIN!!!!!! STRIKE THREE!!!!!! They won't deliver a pizza to me 4 miles away!!! I certainly will never return and don't recommend that anyone else does!
(1)Tessy B.
Our pizza was inedible. The fresh mozz was too wet and gave too much moisture to the crust. And it's expensive only to get home and have a pizza that no one in the house will eat. I really wanted to like this place, but it fell flat. Bummer. A real disappointment.
(2)Andrew S.
This place is amazing! The atmosphere is wonderful, and the food - the food - is out of this world. I've had the pizza, salad, and Italian grinder. All delicious! And the wine portions are generous!
(5)Deb O.
The good is so good! Yummy, delicious pizza, excellent beer choice. The waitress was friendly and fun- she added to a fun night out! Located in Pawtuxet Village that offers wonderful local bars, restaurant and stores. Hidden behind some other local establishments, it's a gem! Love Larry, who will mix any drink for you!
(4)Roisin F.
Not impressed. I'm being completely ignored by the waitress. My glass of beer has long been empty. She'd rather hang out at the bar chit chatting with the 2 customers there. Seriously? She can see me sitting here, empty beer glass and all.
(1)Nathan K.
Stick to the pizza. Sangria was ehh. I think it's because they only serve beer and wine? No booze in the sangria? Beware of the chicken parm sandwich, they use shredded chicken...nobody wants that. That being said it has great atmosphere and the pizza is good. It's a place to get a slice of pizza, stick to that and you will be fine

This is one of my favorite pizza joints in Providence! They have such a wide variety of choices and I've never had a bad slice here. They also have lots of really yummy pasta/potato salads and other sides to go with your meal. It's a great spot to grab a quick lunch or stop in for some late night munchies!

Absolutely Fantastic! The service was great and the atmosphere was awesome. The pizza and drinks were out of this world! We will definitely be back!!!

Latest experience there was not so good. Very sad and disappointing... Service was AWFUL!!! I ordered a pizza to pick up the girl that checked me out was extremely nasty...And pizza was extremely salty (so salty that my wedding ring was tight when I woke up the next morning) :(

BARBECUE PIZZA WAS THE WORST THAT I HAVE EVER HAD! It was not like the description in their menu. 26 dollars down the drain. Sauce was spicy, peppery and not good. Chicken looked shredded to me-not baked like in their menu. Had to ask for the crust to be well-done-because was very soft. Take out guy had a bit of an attitude-no 5 dollar sunday coupon that they used to have which is why I tried this place in the first place! specialty pizza or not this place's product is NEVER CONSISTENT! and I am over this place. As a side note-their is absolutely no parking available outside and the same guy who takes your money and touches your pizza does not wear gloves. I was really hungry so I ate the pizza but, doesn't seem to me to be very health conscious just sayin.....

Fellini's has given me the experience of the best pizza of my life -- the Thanksgiving pizza. A seasonal and highly sought after treat, this is the most delectable thing I've ever had from there, and possibly anywhere. Overall, the joint is relatively small during busy times, but has several tables. The desserts are actually really good. One of the best blondie brownies I've ever had was from here. It's also open late, which is a great choice aside from the the usual pancake joint or fast food place. You may buy by the slice, which always offers an array of creative and tasty options, or get a whole pie (delivery available). This is a Providence staple, so you should definitely check it out.

I didn't want to say this publicly but couldn't find a direct email so here goes: we're done Fellini's of Cranston. It's over. Three strikes and all that jazz. Last night your delivery was 30 minutes late, the pizza dreadfully cold, abysmally soggy, and-- insult to injury-- grossly burnt. We live a mile away. Why the delay? Why the misery? Why the pizza atrocity? Why, oh why can't you get it together like your Older brother in Providence? Sorry pal, it's beyond my control.

Our pizza was inedible. The fresh mozz was too wet and gave too much moisture to the crust. And it's expensive only to get home and have a pizza that no one in the house will eat. I really wanted to like this place, but it fell flat. Bummer. A real disappointment.

This place is amazing! The atmosphere is wonderful, and the food - the food - is out of this world. I've had the pizza, salad, and Italian grinder. All delicious! And the wine portions are generous!

Not impressed. I'm being completely ignored by the waitress. My glass of beer has long been empty. She'd rather hang out at the bar chit chatting with the 2 customers there. Seriously? She can see me sitting here, empty beer glass and all.

Saturday 5/23, stopped in for lunch with 9 (3 males & 6 females) people in our party. Wooden floors, booths surrounding an open air kitchen that showed confidence and pride in their food preparation. We were seated a big roomy table, The waiter gave us a very generous beer list, which he asked what of flavors we liked, what kind of elements in the different beers we might like. Wine and beer and other beverages were ordered along with couple of appetizers; garlic knots and Mediterranean platter. were ordered, The garlic knots were nice little rolls with cloves of roasted garlic, they were delicious. the platter was a great compliment to the knots but also gave us a hint of the different ingredients that we could expect to see in our yet to be ordered but seriously thinking about lunches. A pizza was order with different slices for 3 different people in our party. Different sandwiches and salads for the rest. The pizza slices were perfectly made to 3 people wants. The sandwiches and salads were generous in portion size and very, very flavorful. Everyone raved and moaned how good everything was. Our waiter was AWESOME! He was very attentive but not intrusive. The place was hopping but he was there when a drink needed a refill, removing plates to keep our table uncluttered. Brought around boxes for left overs and there was a lot due to the generous portions. When we were getting ready to leave, we were positioning ourselves to get a few pictures, our waiter volunteered to take pictures, he provided encouragement and instructions arrange our party to make sure everyone was included. 3 different phones and he took several pictures with each, he was a total pro! The restaurant has great food and an even better waiter. The group unanimously decided that this is our place to go when we are in Cranston, RI..

I love their pizza and how creative they are. They create new pizza specials and they all have been good. Normally we each get one slice and order chicken wings to share. Service has been always good. One of our pizza restaurants in town.:)

I've only tried one kind of pizza at this establishment but it's so good that I have yet to deviate. Their garden pizza is amazing with tomatoes scallions onions and thinly sliced squash it's the best veggie pizza I have ever had, and I'm typically a cheese and pepperoni kind of girl. I normally order by the slice and they will heat it up if it hasn't just come out of the oven. The staff is nice enough, and every time I've gone in it's packed.
(5)Kate M.
New location but absolutely the same great pizza! This new second location feels like a real restaurant now, with a bar as well. It's turning into a regular neighborhood hangout for us.
(4)Jasmine S.
Second time at the new location and could not have been happier with the experience. The inside looks great, the staff was all very friendly and attentive, and the pizza was the best I've had this year. In a word, amazing.

There are few times where I say pizza is bad. This is one of those times. Really very disappointed. This was our very first time visiting this place on recommendation from a friend. We ordered the bacon pizza with ricotta and scallions. The person who made the pizza gave little thought and care to this pizza. Too much ricotta swamped the crust and then they threw too many whole slices of undercooked bacon on top making the pizza drenched all the way through to the bottom of the crust. I was going to say the crust was the only and best part of the pizza but it was ruined by the grease. The service was good but we were seated by the hostess stand by the front door and had the pleasure of hearing one of the staff members actually argue with a customer about a mistake they had made. Not a pleasant dining experience. We won't be returning. The one star was for the nice waitress. Food negative four stars.

Love this place! Service was fabulous....Kristen, Lawrence at the bar, the pizza spinner guy, etc. food was awesome. We finished it today during the Pat's game. Just as good reheated. And it's great to have a terrific pizza place in the village other than the one across the street...no where near as good! Soooo excited to have Fellini's nearby. And the decor is exceptional. Very cool lighting, stools and tables. Oh...forgot about the desserts.....delicious! Especially the lemon sorbet served in a frozen lemon. Delicious. Gives Del's some competition!

What a great addition to Pawtuxet Village! (Maybe better than the Wickenden St. location?? Eek!) Fresh space with fresh ingredients and a friendly staff. They always remember my name and the service is consistently met with a smile from the cashier to the chef. The space hosts a full bar and full service restaurant, but there is also a casual pizza-by-the-slice, salads and sandwich seating area as well. It looks as if they may open an outdoor seating area, but that is yet to be seen. Love the large open bay windows. I recommend the Kitchen Sink Pizza and the Antipasti Salad.

The pizza might be good but the two sandwiches that I recently had from Fellini's was pretty disgusting. The first sandwich was a steak sandwich with green peppers which I ask to please omit them but it came with them anyway. It comes with caramelized onions which had sugar in them which makes the steak sandwich sweet. The second sandwich was much worse. It was suppose to be a chicken parmesan sandwich but instead of a chicken cutlet it had shredded chicken cold cuts. It was also quite soggy. When ordering sandwiches, they ask you to choose between three sides. They fail to tell you that a side is an extra charge.
