I looooovvvveeee this place! My kids looooovvvveeee this place. It is an old school type of place with great people who own it including the staff. The Italian grinder is one of my favssss. My little one loves the tuna on a bulky. We also devour a ham and cheese or chicken cutlet on the BEST Italian bread every now and then. Yummmmyyyy!

I have walked and driven by this place for nearly 2 years and just tried it for the first time today. I had a delicious small Italian, which was seriously like the size of my head. The hot peppers added a nice tang to whole thing. I also had the macaroni salad. Now deli macaroni salad has potential to be an awful gloppy mayonnaise mess, but this was far from that. It was tangy, smooth and the pasta was cooked nicely. The gentlemen working there were super nice too boot. Seriously, if you live in the neighborhood or are JWU kid who cannot eat another awful starbucks bagel or red sauce pasta come here and get yourself a delicious sandwich.

Maybe, just maybe, if I had the privilege to return (here on business) I might find something I didn't like, but I seriously doubt it! Had a hot roast beef sub. (See, told you I wasn't from around here!) It doesn't matter what you call them, you will call them 'good'! This is exactly the type of place that I rely on fellow yelpers for. The area has seen better days, the building and signage leaves you a little confused. The food... You'll wish like me that you lived closer. If you like Subway, this place is not for you! You have to enjoy better food from some really cool guys. Go ahead, make your day!

If you're in the area looking for a steak and cheese grinder, DO NOT go to any of those glorified bodegas on this strip, Edgewood market has theeee BEST steak and cheese. Mouthwatering. HUGE. Order a large and feed your family, I swear. Bring cash, they're old school and don't take credit cards.

Review based on grinders only. Old school market on the Providence/Cranston border. Sandwiches are huge and delicious. I've had the chicken cutlet and the Italian. Both rocked.

Edgewood Market has been around for 50+ years. Seriously, you can't find a better grinder anywhere, they are huge and filled with the finest meats, cheeses, vegetables, etc... I remember going to Edgewood Market as a freshman at J&W and the sandwiches are still amazing 20 years later! Highly Recommend!

Edgewood Market has great food. Pizza and calzones are really good, I especially like the dough. The sandwiches are the best around. You get more than your money's worth and the meats are all high quality. And the burgers are awesome. The owners, Greg and Steve, are great people and their staff are great as well.

We needed a place for a quick lunch on our road trip south and this place was great! Very friendly and the food was fantastic. The burgers were top rate and the Italian sausage and pepper sandwich was perfect. Wish I lived nearby.

No curb appeal to this place at all but don't let that stop you. Excellent subs! Bread is always super fresh. There's usually a crowd of local blue collar guys in there at noon scarfing down huge steak and cheese subs. They also have hot dishes like fish and chips which I have yet to try. Cash Only!! Owners are super nice, too.

Located on the Providence / Cranston line on Narragansett Blvd, the Edgewood Market appears from the outside to be not much more than a convenience store / deli. But go inside and look around. Order a sub sandwich. On second thought, don't. Order a burger. The sub sandwiches are about as good as sub sandwiches get. All the cold cuts are sliced fresh. They have house-made tuna salad, Willow Tree chicken salad, and some of the best deli meats anywhere. The subs are just THAT good. But don't stop there. I'm a self-confessed burger freak. I LOVE a good burger. Just the other day, I had a random thought, that near my workplace there really isn't anywhere that I can get a stand-out burger for lunch. I have a fairly short lunch (half hour) so I have to stay close. I went by Edgewood that day intending on getting a sub, but noticed they had some burgers on the menu. So I figured I had nothing to lose - couldn't be much worse than what I've had in the past. THAT turned out to be the best burger I'd had in as long as I could remember. The burger patty was HUGE. It was cooked a perfect medium. The bulkie roll it was served on was oven-toasted, nice and hot and crisp. The burger was so good, I went back the following day for another one. I had them substitute the standard American cheese for Cheddar. It was nothing short of amazing. This is the last place I would expect to find such a big, tasty burger. The beef is obviously fresh and certainly not frozen. If you're in this area, I highly recommend Edgewood Market / Deli whether you're craving a burger, a sub, or even their "New Jersey-Style FAT Sandwich" which contains: Stuffed with chicken fingers, mozzarella sticks, french fries, bacon, marinara sauce, and mozzarella cheese! (add steak for an additional charge). I've not yet tried this sandwich but I've seen them make one .. it's a sight to behold!

the edgewood market is a convienent deli on the cranston providence line, their sandwiches are pretty good most of the time, on a couple occasions i was not all that satisfied but if your nearby it beats subway!
