Pizza
Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Hands down the best bakery style pizza around. Both the red and the white are always perfectly cooked. Have always loved their brownies too. When it comes to bread, it's ok. I have a few other favorites that I'd opt to drive to. But their party pizza is unmatched. Quick service, usually fairly friendly. Did I mention the pizza? :)

Excellent, fresh pizza strips and bread. Can be a little pricey, but totally worth it.

Love this bakery. It's family owned and family maintained, with lots of local kids working behind the counter as well. Everything is homemade and delicious. I've never had the pastries here, only the pizza and bread, but one day I will make my way through the lovely looking sweets. They're trying new things all the time; for example, there is a Thai peanut pizza today. One of my fav items is the pizza chips - round little bakery style pizzas with thin and crispy crust with or without grated cheese. I can eat them like potato chips, so good. The food isn't fancy by any means but if you're looking for authentic Italian family fare, then this is the place. FYI, there's a $10 credit card minimum.

Okay, where to start... Anyone looking for an amazingly well made pizza (both conventional and white style with things like spinach on it) must give these nice folks a try. The fact that they are also affordable is a BONUS :) Rhode Island style red sauce pizza strips are available here and are the best in the state.... Period. The pizza sauce is nothing short of amazing. In fact, it's so good, they sell it there too. We like to buy it for homemade calzones or to mix with some meatballs for meatball sandwiches. It's always a hit. Next, the patties. Oh my goodness the pastries. They offer a wide assortment from Cannolis Cup Cakes, Cookies, Brownies and more! We like to buy a loaf of bread each time we go (they slice it in front of you with the machine). This makes for terrific sandwiches throughout the week. If you just want to try different things, they have that covered too. Pizza slices, calzones, pigs in the blanket etc are all available ala cart. We have been a regular here for over 15 years. Great job guys and gals :)

Calvitto's is your typical Italian bakery. The kids love their pizza strips, it's a great last-minute lunch or dinner idea when I'm in a pinch. The take out pizza is fantastic if you like the thick crust bakery style. The sweet items and other baked goods like spinach pies are hit or miss. They are great if they're fresh but there's a good chance they won't be so you are taking a chance when you order. The staff is very friendly.

I have always loved this place, but I am almost 100% positive I bought a 2-3 day old brownie today and the pizza chips where soggy in the middle and rock hard around the end... I made a mistake and went yesterday when I pulled up, thye where closed it was MONDAY (Brian fart) I thought they where open because there was food left in the cases. Didn't think Anything of it, until I just took a bite of my PB Brownie and the edges are Rock hard! Pizza chips are in the trash! Bad Day?? No baker?? Idk!!!!!

Pastries taste like they are outdated. I've given this place WAY too many chances and wasted WAY too much money !

The pizza strips are really good, true. My spinach pie was hard as a rock, however. Completely, inedibly stale and yet still managed to be greasy. Pastries are pretty to look at but I can't vouch for how they taste. I'd go for the pizza strips but Crungnales is just a bit further down the road and they are consistently fresh.

Calvitto's does it old style, crispy Italian rolls, bread and lots of other yummy stuff. Pizza strips are a must and they have a full selection of calzones and desserts.I go here at least once a week to get fresh bread and yes, one of their famous brownies.

this place takes me back to when I was a kid, I'd expect the staff to be some old Eyetyes but it's always staffed by girls in their late teens early 20s. The Pizza strips red and white are consistently good. I love the spinach pies here most of the time, occasionally they are a little salty but not inedible. The Lemon Squares are not something you find everywhere and are pure RI Italian bakery trash, and I love it. The hot pizza in my limited ordering is comparable to Tommy's Pizza on Chalkstone, which I really like, and is like $4 less for a large pie. I've had various other pastries here and they are hit and miss especially when they are not traditional italian stuff, the Sfog's are pretty aces as well though.

I used to go to Calvitto's when I was growing up in Cranston often. I moved away, and I truly missed this bakery! Now that I have moved back, I visit Calvitto's once or twice a month. Their pizza is great! Good to know it hasn't changed in the last 15 years. They sell their own dough, which tastes better and is cheaper than stuff you'll find in grocery stores! It freezes and thaws perfectly. I haven't tried all of their baked goods yet, but my favorites are the brownies. To. Die. For. Go give them a try, whether it's for the pizza, goodies or their dough!
