Pizza
Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

This place boggles me. I've ordered 3x so far. The good: friendly staff, they are are very quick after ordering. Good clean average pizza shop. The prices are great The Bad: It's just the inconsistency. I've gotten an ok pie, then a really good pie, then an ok pie Pepperoni is good. Margarita was eh. Maybe it's ingredients not sure.

Order from grub hub all the time they are pretty solid until recently. We usually get awesome food from this place, but are going to give it a break for a while as the last pizza we had in tasted and looked like a cheap frozen pizza from the grocery store. They are more expensive than other pizza places, so I think they could do better. Perhaps we got them on a bad night. We are back to Two Tomatoes now on GrubHub.

Soggy Onion rings; Steak and Cheese could use more meat; it was not the best I've had. For the money d'angelo's is better and they are far from the top.
(2)Will H.
Very unfriendly owners and the food was not that good. I been go there for years and the last two owners and the food was the same very good.
(2)Samantha M.
The food is fantastic especially the panini sandwiches, they never disappoint. However Delivery took over an hour, and my house is not far from the restaurant. I normally love ordering here but I don't think I will be ordering for delivery from them again, unless I don't mind waiting over an hour and half to eat, and I do.

Let's call this "USING YOUR HEAD FOR SOMETHING OTHER THAN A HAT RACK!" Placed an order and was informed that the delivery may take one hour. Fine, we can deal with this considering the snow. One hour and fifteen passes and so I telephone and am informed that the order was canceled right after placing the order due to the snow storm. I was informed that grubHub should have phoned me and emailed me. NOPE. I did not receive any contact until I telephoned gH myself. While dialing out, gH was calling in. It was then that I learned that the Manager on Duty (MOD) for Boulevard Pizza canceled my order right before I telephoned him which was well after placing the order. The MOD lies like a rug and did not have the fortitude that he was born with to admit his error and the brains enough to cancel delivery WAAAAAYYYY before the storm started as the NOR-ESTER has been all over the news for quite some time. SAVE YOUR $$$ and eat elsewhere. If you would like to discuss this in person, please feel free to call me at 401-218-3726. I am happy to share my POOR EXPERIENCE with Boulevard Pizza. Below are the emails that we received on the order that we placed. To: g__________@hotmail.com Subject: An Important Update to Your Order (#743279994) Hey there, Sorry to say it, but we have some bad news - we had to cancel your order and refund your money. The restaurant doesn't have a driver tonight and failed to tell us that. Update as of 8:30p on 02/24/15 Received a call from gH end was informed that the MOD NEVER canceled the delivery option or our order. The MOD definitely lied per gH. Your monies will be back in your account as soon as your bank makes it happen (no more than 3-5 days). Not bad for late night grub. I always ordered here for delivery late at night from school. Pizza and subs are good! They are very nice too.

If your looking for oven fresh pizza this is the pizza place to go. Located in a perfect part of Cranston easy access for the JWU students and local residents of Cranston. Walk in and it's a nice Iranian style pizzeria with great seating and really nice staff. Their menu is huge offering calzones speciality pizzas regular pizzas and more. And offered at great prices for college students on a tight budget and in the mood for an oven fresh pizza. And to make things even better they deliver into the night so it's really convenient. I ordered myself a chicken bacon ranch speciality pizza and it was just to die for. It took about 20 mins and it was well worth the wait. The pizza was so fresh and the crust was perfect. I will for sure be ordering pizza from here in the future. 5 stars in my book

I should have quite a few check-ins at this place because I've gone quite a few times. I'm from New York, so finding a New York style pizza in New England is quite difficult. Welcome to your New York pizza style place. Okay, you MUST try the fried eggplant pizza. And veggie with eggplant. It was off the hook. Hands down one of the best pizzas that I've ever had. We've had the cheese and also pepperoni. I'm never disappointed. Sauce is flavorful, pepperoni can make for a greasy pizza regardless, but they're not usually otherwise. They have that flour and oven baked flavor that I truly do love. Not crispy, which I truly appreciate because I am that person that hates crispy crust. Size, flavor, sauce, cheese, it's all great. They have quiet a few variety of options, but nothing I've tried yet. Prices are good and parking is on the street. Another plus?! They're open late!! There's also seating inside for those who want to eat in. Owners are super friendly. I'll definitely be returning, as they are just down the street from me!

The food and customer service were excellent. I ordered through GrubHub and the estimated delivery time was 25-35 minutes. It was snowing outside, so I expected it would be longer than that. Before the time was up, I received a call from the restaurant letting me know that it would be a little longer than expected. I then got a call from the driver letting me know she was on my street and would be here shortly. That is a degree of great customer service I was not expecting. I ordered a Greek chicken kabob sub, a tiramisu, and what was listed on GrubHub as "pineapple salad." The sub and tiramisu were yummy. The pineapple salad was just chunks of fresh pineapple. It was perfectly ripe and sweet, so I enjoyed it and had a laugh about it being referred to as a salad, which implies more than one ingredient. The paper menu lists it as just pineapple, though. Very pleased with both the food and the service and will definitely order again. I really like that they have multiple dessert options available, as well.

Ordered lunch for 6 at 11am. It was just delivered at 12:36. No courtesy call to say they were running over a half an hour late.

I hate posting bad reviews but they are just as important as the good ones, right?! We called for delivery at 8:52 on Sunday night and didn't receive our order until 9:48. That's almost an hour for delivery less than a mile away, on a random Sunday night in early March. The food was luke warm, at best. We ordered the Chicken Primo Pizza. It's tasty but for the large half-wedges of garlic scattered all over the place. You think you're biting down on a perfectly tender broccoli stem but really, it's just a large garlic clove. Hello Heartburn!! The Mac and Cheese bites sounded promising, and may very well be great, but since I experienced them cool and coagulated...not so much! Again, I hate giving poor reviews because it's important to support your community and local businesses, but they can never improve if they don't know there's anything wrong. Happy Eating!
(1)Grace M.
Sooooo not worth it! Bland, boring pizza and they charge a delivery fee even to locations a mile away. Shady operation.
(1)Alissa M.
I knew this place was too good to be true! Close to campus? Check. Cheap? Check. Pretty tasty? Check. Got food poisioning a few times? Check... After my inital visit, I purchased a large 18" pizza and brought it back to campus to eat throughout the week. Note that it was not sitting out very long. The first night I had one slice and felt very sick later in the evening. I didn't think much of it and continued to eat the pizza the next day. Again, I faced gut-wrenching stomach aches/etc. That was the only food I ate consecutively between the two days. In conclusion, it's a risky move to eat here IMO. Don't get me wrong, the pizza is pretty delicious for how cheap it is/location, however I'm not sure if I want to play Russian Roulette with food poisioning... ...eat at your own risk... I was surprised at the ease of ordering a vegan meal at this place; literally, all I had to say was, "I'm vegan, do you have any options?" and the guy who answered relayed so many yummy options I told him to surprise me. I ended up getting a nice big wrap full of the yummiest & perfectly cooked veggies with a salad on the side. The order was fulfilled in less than 30 minutes and arrived hot & ready to eat (nothing worst than getting a meat-free wrap to only find that its cold & was never toasted). With great service, attention to detail (which is crucial for those with dietary restrictions) & decent prices, I'll be coming here forever!
(5)Lyd M.
I really enjoy their pizza! I especially like their "Greek Sunrise" pizza with sliced tomato, feta, and gyro. Their fries are AWESOME I could eat the whole order...we always get delivery and they arrive too hot to eat and extra crispy. My boyfriend loves their steak and cheese grinder and I always get the gyro sandwich...the bread is so soft and fluffy and the lettuce is fresh and crisp. They are open late and deliver...I'm glad this place is right up the street from me!

The most perfect pizza in Providence ... is in Cranston. This review is all about the pie - I don't even CARE what else is on the menu and I've never dined on premises at the strange adjoining blacked-out-window "pub" so these variables will simply not be considered. But I can say the guys who work there are are really nice and the prices are good. This is the ideal... -fold-it-down-the-middle but no flood of grease dribbling down the crease -thin but soft delicious crust with a bite -sweet crushed tomato sauce -awesome cheese, just the right amount, truly GOLDEN bubbly and extends to the far reaches of the pie so you're not left with a massive doughy strip of cheeseless crust at the end ...piece of pizza. Sometimes you just want a basic pizza. This is the pizza in my dreams.

It makes me sad. I want it to be good. But last night I was very unhappy. The time before this: large pepperoni and olives and a chef salad. It was ok. Sauce is decent. Crust falls short. This ain't New York or Boston pizza. There is no passion in it. It's nothing special. It's mediocre. And again, I just don't want to settle for mediocre in this town anymore. I can get a better pizza all around at Dave's market. Last night: -calzone. Something felt... Fake about it. The crust. I can't totally explain it better than "fake". Soft in all the wrong ways. The steak and cheese filling was ok but it honestly could have been a frozen hot pocket. -chicken kabob platter with fries. Dry chicken. The kind of dry that happens when you pre cook the chicken. Then warm it up with the onions and peppers on the flat top. The onions were snappy, which I like. The peppers were fine. But the chicken was sawdust. And that mess was conveniently dumped all over the fries so they were a total wet mess. Who does that? Who wants that? It should be illegal. - Gyro plate: standard lamb loaf, onion and pepper over rice (which was actually the texture I love) with pizza sauce dumped all over it. That was not in the description at all and although it was not bad, it was so different than what I thought I was getting, it took me half the meal to realize I didn't hate it. I feel like they were trying to hide something. - grape leaves: yes I know they come from a tin and are standardized. But the order boasts 12 and only 6 came. Sad. - delivery: it took over an hour and everything was Luke warm or cold. Was it ever hot? I don't know. I'm tired of wasting money. Step it up or fade away.

Pretty much go here every week...why? because it rocks my socks. Love the family that works here! They are seriously the hardest working and nicest people ever. They remember who I am and what I want and that is the kind of service you get from a family run restaurant. Always greeted with a smile! The grape leaves here are ridiculously delicious and the spinach wrap is totally melt in your mouth goodness. Prices are completely reasonable and they have a pretty big menu which includes sandwiches, pizzas and other tasty treats. There is street parking and they have a small dine in area. Off to the side is a bar. If you need a little pick me up for your tummie, this is your kinda place!

I judge a pizza place by it's ability to make a good cheese pizza, and Boulevard makes a damn good cheese pizza. We ordered their enormous 18" NY Style cheese pizza and it was fantastic. Someone said they sauce was sweet, but I didn't find the sauce to be sweet even a little bit, maybe they were talking about the Sicilian. Huge slices, foldable, not too greasy, soft crust. Really good all around. Also, they delivered to East Providence via Foodler, delivered ten minutes early and the pizza wasn't even soggy. We'll be ordering again!
(4)Jaki G.
No. Just no. Pizza doesn't taste like theres a fresh ingrediant on or in it. Crust, seems premade to me. I'd rather a frozen DiGiornos.
(1)Briel D.
What a s%$t show! We have been ordering from this place at least 1-2x a week at least! Loved the pizza, delivery was timely and pleasant. Ordered via Foodler one night and never will again. Literally the cheese and the toppings all slid and smashed against the the side of the box. My boyfriend is allergic to mushrooms and when I asked for 1/2 of the pizza only to have mushrooms, i meant it. Mushrooms all over the entire pizza. Also I ordered an eggplant parm and 20 mins after placing the order, I receive a call saying they were out of eggplant - 20mins later???? What have you been doing all this time!?! NOT a good experience. So when the food finally arrives, mushroom takeover and a horrific chicken parm, I'm not a happy camper. I call the following day to speak to the owner about my experience. Normally I am not one to complain but this experience was really frustrating, not to mention the possible allergic reaction had we not noticed the mushrooms. I get the "owner" on the phone and begin to tell him about my experience. He proceeds to cut me off and say "Ill see who was working last night". Um, it doesn't matter who was working - IM TELLING YOU about the problem not the specific people involved - deal with the criticism of your staff on your own time. As I go into the almost fatal story about the mushrooms, he cuts me off "saying he's too busy for this" REALLY , REALLY!!!!!! As the owner of a restaurant you are "TOO BUSY" to talk to a patron that you almost poisoned??? NO apology, no nothing. I hang up in shock. Mind you my tone and demeanor in this call has been entirely pleasant and not rude at all. Amazing that someone who cares so little about its regular clientele stays in business. There is not enough profanity to explain this ridiculous experience. Too bad, I really enjoyed the pizza prior to this incident and we gave them a lot of business. NOT ANYMORE.

I've been here a number of times, and I must say that they make the best cheeseburger grinder I have ever had. I don't know if it's in the bread they use or something, but it far exceeds any competition in the area and even back home. Oftentimes, this place is packed with college students. This can be both a positive and negative. If you order delivery, they'll sometimes throw in (free of charge) an order that they messed up. Who wouldn't love free food?! On the downside, though, I have experienced rude behaviour by some of the people working behind the counter, particularly a tall, Turkish man. All-in-all, though, I'll continue getting my cheeseburg grinder fix here. If you haven't tried it yet, you should.
(4)Tyler M.
This is a place of many contradictions, from what I see from others they have turkish owners, the cooks are Hispanic and the restaurant is Italian. That is just for starters, they also for some reason have a "pub" a-joined with the pizza place..... wow. I can see it is geared towards college students, they offer delivery within 4 miles and they are located right next to JW campus. The food suffers from lack of quality, reminds me of school lunch back in high-school. I ordered a steak and cheese, the price was extremely cheap only 5.99 for a large- I should have known better. My girl friend got the biggest calzone I have ever seen, the thing could feed 3 people and again for a cheap price so the value is great. Again it was just not.... that.... good? I probably will not go here again, just another place to drive bye on my way to work.
(2)Leah W.
I'd never heard of Boulevard until they popped up on my Foodler account. I have to be honest, I didn't expect much for the price (an 18" pizza for 12.99?!), but I was soon eating my doubts as I shoveled hot, chewy, cheesy, spicy pizza into my grill. And the pizza isn't good by $12.99 standards, it's just plain good. Like, Fellini good. So who needs a pizza place across town who won't answer the phone or even actually follow through on the delivery when you can go online and order a pizza from a place in Cranston and get it delivered -- and quickly -- to your doorstep on the West Side? Also, if you're like me, you wonder aloud sometimes (okay quite often) who the heck is going to bring you some chocolate cake. If you're using Foodler, Boulevard will. A big ol' piece. I don't think it's homemade but it's still fudgey and fresh-tasting, and for $3 it's a super-sweet bonus.

Delivery is very lousy. I ordered a simple cheese pizza and gave them my address. When the guy called, his accent was so thick that it was very difficult for me to understand him. I thought he was speaking German at first. He wanted to know what street I lived off of. Then he said he was right there and had to drive up one more street. I waited about a half an hour more and called him. He told me to give him five more minutes. The pizza was okay, but not exceptional. It was like the pizza you get at roller skate arenas and bowling allies. Very cheap. They said the delivery would only take a half hour, but it was an hour after I called that the pizza was delivered. It took twice as long for them to deliver. Sure, I may consider ordering from them again, if I'm in the mood for cheap pizza, but hopefully by then they'll have a more truthful delivery guy with an accent people in Rhode Island can understand. I'm not saying that having an accent is a bad thing. It's just that maybe they're not the best to hire if the job requires communicating details. Overall, a very average place with average food and a low customer service quality.
(2)David G.
Boulevard Pizza is right around the corner from my house, so I've ordered from here a few times over the years. Ordering is always a little stressful, because every single person who works there has an accent so thick I cannot understand them. There have been a few mishaps over the years with the order not being exactly right, but overall it's been okay. Tonight, however, my experience with Boulevard was so bad I'm swearing off my neighborhood pizza place forever. I ordered through their website, and got an email telling me there would be a 45 minute wait before I could pick up my pizza. I understand delivery can take a while, but when you're picking up, 45 minutes to make a pizza is ridiculous. Still, I waited 35 minutes and then walked the half-mile to Boulevard. When I got there I was told that apparently when you order through their website, the pizza is made at a different location. So now I had to walk back home, get my car, drive across town to go pick up my food. By the time I got back home with my food, it had been an hour and a half since I'd ordered my food. That's not cool. To make matters worse, the pizza was unsurprisingly cold and the fries were rubbery and disgusting. Wasting a bunch of my time to get food that tastes awful is not an experience I ever want to repeat - so I'm done with Boulevard Pizza.
(2)Jodi K.
Delicious, ny style pizza. I have had my fair share of pizza and this by far is some of the best! Don't judge the restaurant by its outside...order and have it delivered. Super friendly, well priced, family owned place. Give it a try...yum!!
(4)Alex B.
I like this place because of the good times I had with someone special to me. Also great times with my roommates and friends (hope to do it again with that person and with everyone else as well) GO JWU of 2011 soon will all meet again! by the way, this place has great calzone and tiramisu :)
(4)Nicole S.
I got a 4 cheese calzone and it was so so good. Also chocolate cake was amazing lol. It was very fast, I think it was here 15 minutes before the estimated time and the delivery driver was friendly.
(5)Lindsay H.
Clean place, consistently good thin crust pizza, fast delivery. Can't ask for much more.
(5)Victor W.
Normally they serve pretty good food but this time my order time was an hour and then delayed another 20 minutes for whatever reason. When my pizza arrived it wasn't even warm and the cheese was solid and all the fat was on the top.
(3)Jason B.
Excellent pizza. I've only ever had the NY style and its great. Sauce and cheese blend together nicely. Never had any issues with how its cooked. Prices are average for what you get.
(5)Shell A.
My favorite pizza so far! I stopped here for a slice because nothing else was open late. Big, flat, New York style pizza. Exactly what I'm always looking for and can never find. Delicious.
(5)Adam B.
This place is good.
(5)Michael O.
I absolutely love this place. I discovered it within the last year and order from this place at least once a week. Friendly service and the best pizza I have found so far in RI. They also have great sandwiches, salads, and lots of other stuff. They recently starting serving breakfast, but I have yet to check that out.
(5)Gina M.
I Remember coming here drunk a lot when I attended JWU. Great for late night pizza and they give you dressing for your crust if you ask for it.
(4)Nissan S.
Turkish Owners, family owned and operated business. Dolmas were delicious. Not very many middle eastern dining locations in RI. Take advantage of this one.
(4)Juhi D.
please let me preface this review by sharing that: "i like pizza alot" was my first sentence in english as a baby. the pizza is new york like and refreshing from new englanders lame attempts to make a good pie...the service is nice and friendly! they take credit cards and always have music playing. i work nearby and always recommend people to give it a try for a quick bite.
