Awesome food, great service and awesome atmosphere!! I ate in the bar area both times I have been there and enjoyed it - I have not experienced the dining area yet but it looks very nice. It's my new favorite place to eat. It is on the expensive side but worth it now and then.

I am a fairly regular guest here, and for ambiance, it's really a tasteful place with well done french provincial architecture and a rich eclectic interior. Great natural lighting cascades in from abundant divided light windows, which make it enchanting during the daytime year-round. Lots of interesting artwork and multiple bars,on different levels offer different rooms for different moods. A spacious outside patio off the lower dining room is perfect on the right day. That said, I stopped in on Father's Day at 10:15 to grab some brunch at the upstairs bar. Th hostess advised me they started lunch at 11:30. I walked past her into the spacious dining room, where they had begun a buffet brunch, with about 6 people on line. I asked the hostess if I could have some quick brunch at the bar (totally empty). She replied, "if you don't have a reservation, we are not accepting too many walk-ins today". I asked her "what about the two walk-ins you have standing in front of you at 10:15"? She looked dumfounded. We left. I get that they expected to be busy, but buffet brunches don't usually attract a big "bar crowd", and at 10:15, we wouldn't have eaten that much. The buffet did look great, so I was a bit disappointed .... but so it goes on a Holiday.

We've been to Hotel Fiesole several times for drinks and appetizers and can't get enough of building itself. Beautiful architecture. Amazing craftsmanship and a stunning attention to detail. Atmosphere aside, the service at the bar has always been excellent and there isn't an appetizer on the menu that we don't love. We finally had dinner there for the first time last night and it was phenomenal. We both had the filet with goat cheese. Cooked to perfection and reasonably priced at $28. Be sure to try this place, but stay on the top two floors. The cougar dance club situation that erupts in the basement around 8 p.m. is both disturbing and completely out of place for an otherwise very classy establishment.

We had the 7 course tasting with wine pairing. The food was fantastic and the wine pairings was well done. Its not a cheap night out, but it is worth the expense. We were very pleased with the service, dinner, and wine. The whole establishment has an upscale feel to it that you will certianly appreciate. Summary: Check this place out, great white linen place to eat in Suburban Philly! Great food, great wine. Great experience!

My husband and I just are lunch here. The food was ok, not great. We ordered an appetizer and two entrees. We also ordered a bottle of wine and 2 glasses of seltzer. We were actually charged for the seltzer. $2.50 per glass! Plus my husband got a refill and was charged for the refill of seltzer. I definitely do not appreciate being nickle and dimed like that.

My wife and I biked here. They have outside seating so it was nice to sit outside. We got salads, cheese plate, I got a pizza and my wife got a burger. Overall a good meal. Service was a little slow but not sure how many indoor tables our waitress had. I enjoyed the pizza and my wife's burger was very good. I had the beet salad with fresh mozzarella and tomatoes. Was pretty good. Cheese plate was $25 not cheap but I like trying new foods. I would go back to try for dinner soon to see how it was. I like this place.

We were invited to go Hotel Fiesole by a couple who had been there the prior week and loved it so much they wanted to go back. We went as 3 couples, and we had an incredible experience. From beginning to end, the quality of every dish was fabulous. The salads, soups, entrees and deserts were all spectacular, and the service and atmosphere were wonderful. I've been living in this area for 25 years and have never had this kind of experience in a local restaurant.

First timer here. A very lovely hotel and great brunch spot. Had the choice to dine in the main dining room or trolley are. Since there was a large bday party in the main dining room, my husband and I opted to dine in the trolley. Solid service. Food was great. Had the lobster eggs Benedict and it was tasty as it was on top of a crunchy brioche crouton. Bacon was good. Belgian waffles were good. Salads were nice. Didn't get a chance to try the London broil or the handmade gnocchi as I was too full. Fantastic desserts. Mini tart cups were fresh. Fresh fruit was ripe and sweet. Little mini meringue decorative dots were yummy too. Definitely would go back. I was so full, it ouched! But husband and I were quite satiated. Had to take a stroll after lunch up the bridge in the parking lot to walk off the food...

We had my sons communion party there this weekend and what a wonderful experience from start to finish! Abbey was the best planner and tied up all my last minute details perfectly! She dealt with several last minute changes and was an excellent host! Food was great and the private room downstairs was perfect. I would highly recommend the hotel for private parties or even brunch! Great experience!!!!

I have been here for lunch, dinner and just drinks and apps. It's always quality. Today I had the smoked salmon salad, the smoked salmon was perfect-rolled with herbed goat cheese over mixed greens and a citrus apple cider vinegar dressing, great flavors. We sat outside, they have a few tables on the patio. The service was excellent...I can't wait to go back!

My wife and I decided to take a lazy Sunday drive into Pennsylvania and found ourselves in the quaint town of Skippack. Having left the house without eating breakfast, we were pretty hungry by the time we arrived. Walking past the Hotel Fiesole, we noticed the brunch sign and decided to throw caution to the wind and give it a shot. The quality of the food and incredible selection made us glad we did! The service was outstanding and by the time we were done, we'd met everyone that worked in the restaurant - all of whom were friendly and attentive. One word of caution - make sure you leave room for dessert - you will be astounded by the variety! We can't wait to go back with friends and family.

This place is a pretty nice restaurant hidden in the small town of Skippack. They actually have two areas to dine in, each offering a slightly different menu with a variety of foods. There's a casual bar where the prices are more practical compared to the fancier "fine dining" restaurant where the prices are higher and setting is nicer. Definitely check out their site and look at the menus before making your reservation because you can go simple or really dress up. The food was great!

The food was bland. The chicken was dry. I ordered rabbit over gnocchi. The gnocchi was over cooked and the rabbit was shredded and tough. My friend ordered the chicken and it was also horrible. We won't be back.

I have never eaten here so my review is based on drinks and music. Every Friday and Saturday night they have free music down stairs. Mostly live bands, but sometimes a DJ. I am 43 and my boyfriend is 57. We fit in just fine. A large range of age groups. It's a fun time:)

Had the Sunday brunch buffet at Hotel Fiesole again today. Another fantastic meal! The lobster eggs benedict was delicious as always. Prosciutto wrapped asparagus was really good. Salmon, Gnocchi, stuffed turkey breast...all excellent. Our waiter, Jarod, was outstanding. The dessert table was amazing... The pastry chef, Sam, is an artist and put together an amazing selection of treats to finish off a wonderful feast. Now to walk it off shopping in Skippack Village. We can't wait to go back for another brunch or dinner and dancing on a Saturday night at Hotel Fiesole.

My mother came to visit from New Jersey over the weekend and we had traveled through Skippack on our way to go antiquing. We decided to have a nice dinner on our way back and called Hotel Fiesole about a reservation. It was a Friday evening right before dinner service was to begin, we were dressed casually and they offered to accommodate us with a reservation in the trolley car behind the bar, which was a nice surprise. It was extremely loud, to say the least - but beggars can't be choosers. We both love good food, so we ordered two different items to share from each section: the eggplant tower and the seared foie gras, the asparagus burrata salad and the kale Caesar, the trofie pasta with peas and pancetta and the seared gnocchi with fava beans, guanciale and tomato broth. I don't think we should have been charged to split plates based on the fact that we were ordering two items from each course menu.. Annoying. The service was pretty bad. Our waitress was inattentive and spent more time behind the bar making drinks than making sure we were taken care of. She took our wine orders and didn't return to take our meal order for more than 20 minutes, after I spent 8 minutes standing next to our table by the bar to get her attention while she and two other FOH staff made a drink for one person. We saw more of the three or four male runners who were very polite and helpful. Thanks, guys. Getting our check was also a mighty task, hence our decision to pick up a pint of ice cream for dessert instead of committing to another hour at the restaurant. The foie gras with foie gras ice cream and balsamic reduction was incredible. The eggplant tower with tomato, goat cheese and basil pesto was enjoyable, as were the salads. I think the seared gnocchi entree was pretty close to perfect, more guanciale would have made it a 10. The trofie pasta was delicate and yummy but lacked in black truffle butter, so to me, the dish wasn't priced appropriately. I'd absolutely love to eat this food again but I wouldn't return based on the service, most of the FOH employees didn't seem to care and might be better suited for a job at Applebee's. Too bad. I'd give 5 out of 5 stars if the service was a little tighter, which in reality bordered on blatant disrespect. Although not preferred, I can handle the let down of a restaurant with poor FOH staff, but I don't appreciate anyone inconveniencing my mother who deserves a wonderful, stress-free dining experience.

As a person who works in Skippack, I have made a point to try the restaurants in the area. Walking up to The Hotel, I initially thought it to be gorgeous. The interior is nice as well, perhaps a little stuffy for my taste. Regardless, I went to have a good experience so i looked past it. After sitting down, I started to feel uneasy due to some strange glares from a woman member of the bar staff. My server was sweet, but inexperienced. He took our order promptly and it took a little long in consideration of how empty they were. I do know good food takes time, but I ordered the grilled Caesar salad. It was okay but highly over priced. All in all, maybe it is just not the place for me. Or anyone under the age of 30.

Looking for a new place in Skippack, me and several friends tried Bella Rosa casual dining at the Hotel...We won't return. My seafood manicotti dish contained canned seafood. I might have forgiven the canned crab but the tiny canned shrimp...really? Additionally, the cream sauce was broken when it got to the table and the pools of butter looked and was very unappetizing. Lastly, I ordered this dish because the server said it was her favorite dish on the menu. Can't imagine what her least favorite tasted like. My friends both ordered the fish 'special' which was supposed to be over risotto. We all agreed that it was long grain rice and not risotto and should have been half the price. Need I say more?

Stopped here last night and Rachael the bartender was awesome! The drinks were made perfectly and she was very pleasant also super cute. I ordered a few appetizers and they were hardly average. Started off with the cheese plate and it was terrible! Our entrées were just ok. Enjoyed the scene as usual but the place is going down hill with the food. Most likely will be back but just for drinks.

My family and I were here for the Easter brunch buffet. The service was good (did not justify them automatically including 20% gratuity on party of 5 for a buffet) and atmosphere was very nice. The food was very mediocre and the cost was very pricey ($270.00 for my wife and I and 3 kids). My daughter asked for an orange juice and they charged $3.25 additional above the $42.50 flat fee. We were here two years ago for the Easter brunch buffet and had a very enjoyable experience. But things have changed, prices went up and food went down. My wife and I were both very disappointed. Guess we need to find a new place for next year.

We were married at Hotel Fiesole last month (Sept. 2014) and I cannot even begin to tell you how wonderful they were! Our friends also were married there almost 3 years ago and raved about them so we had high expectations going in....Hotel Fiesole and their staff did not disappoint. The entire staff at Hotel Fiesole were incredibly warm and bent over backwards for us to feel special that day and also help all of our guests feel special too (whether they were staying over or not). The venue is unique, beautiful and every shot from your photographer will have a pretty background no matter where you are in the hotel. The food is beyond excellent - you can't go wrong with anything on the menu. The atmosphere is upscale without being stuffy and our guests used words like "charming", "amazing" and "gorgeous" to describe it. The day of the wedding, everything went off without a hitch - the staff was so well coordinated, we didn't have to worry or ask about a thing. Not only did we have a great time, but our guests couldn't stop complimenting everything about Hotel Fiesole. Whether you are having your wedding there, going out for drinks at their bar, having dinner or their to-die-for brunch, you will be impressed with everything Hotel Fiesole has to offer!

Wow! What a pretentious ripoff. My wife and 2 neighbors went to the Bella Rosa bar for drinks and appetizers on a recent Tuesday evening. The prices are outrageous and the food is less then average. We shared chili nachos and each ordered Caesar salads and individual plates. The Caesar salad was very average. My "medium" sliders were delivered and what I received were 3 tiny, dry, overcooked inedible hockey pucks on stale rolls. The onion jam was good. My neighbors also ordered beef sliders well done and received exactly what I got. Sliders price - $14. My wife had Hot Legs over risotto. The chicken legs were salty but good. The risotto - Very salty and way too much garlic. (We're Italian and we Like garlic but Whoa!) The service was average and the bill with about an 18% tip was a whopping $160. - $80. per couple. It's a nice comfortable, attractive bar. Go in, look around, be impressed and the go somewhere else to eat and drink.

Having our wedding at the Hotel Fiesole was the absolute best wedding planning decision that we made. The hotel is beautiful, the kitchen produces amazing food, and the wedding coordinator, Abbey Greiner, is a true professional to work with. Location: We had our ceremony in one room and our reception in the large dining room/bar/trolley car. The hotel is absolutely gorgeous with its dark wood everywhere and the beautiful stained glass ceilings. The room we had the reception in had huge windows that let in lots of natural light. Every space is tastefully decorated and the old fashioned bar is absolutely beautiful. And the trolley car was really fun! The hotel's gorgeous interior and exterior (including a covered bridge) made for a large variety of beautiful places to take our wedding photos. We got married at Christmas, and the Hotel's lights, Christmas tress, and other decorations were absolutely stunning. We have been to many wedding receptions in the boring ballroom or bare conference room of some hotel. Our guests raved about how classy, beautiful, and interesting the Hotel Fiesole was. Wedding Coordinator: Abbey is an incredible wedding professional and every bride should have the absolute pleasure of working with her. Abbey met with me and my husband several times and she always answered our numerous emails with questions. Abbey was present at our rehearsal and helped us to figure out how our procession would work the next day. She was onsite the day of the wedding and made sure that every single thing flowed. Abbey had the ceremony room and dining room set up perfectly. I created my own centerpieces and Abbey and her staff did a wonderful job of setting them up. If I needed anything the day of the wedding (lights dimmed for dancing, table moved for more dance space), she was super responsive. She had the champagne out for toasts exactly at the right time. Abbey also made sure that we took everything home with us the next day (gifts, photobook from our photobooth, family momentos we had set up in the ceremony room). I never had any stress because of how well Abbey directed our event. Her attention to detail and professionalism was amazing. Food and drink: We opted to have a non-traditional reception. Instead of a formal meal, we visioned a 6 hour long cocktail party. We read about the idea in another review of the hotel and loved it. We ordered many different hot and cold hors devours, pastas, salads, mini meatballs and pork loin, fruit and vegetable plates, cheese trays, hummus platters, and about every single kind of food you can imagine. There was a 2 hours butler service of all the hors devours and the stationary food was available all night for our guests to eat. We also opted for hundreds of gourmet miniature desserts instead of a cake. Our guests loved the variety of foods and they left absolutely stuffed!!! There was food there for all tastes, from people who like planer food to our "foodie" friends. Everything that came out of the kitchen looked and tasted amazing. We have been told many times that the Hotel Fiesole provided the best wedding food our guests have had. Abbey did a fantastic job of making sure we ordered enough food and everyone left very well fed. Also, importantly for our fun loving friends and family, the drinks were well poured and not watered down like I have experienced at some other weddings, and the bar service was really prompt. Seating: Also per our cocktail wedding vision, Abbey set up tables of many different sizes all around the dining room. Our guests were able to choose where they wanted to sit, and the fluid food and seating situation allowed them to mingle better. It really encouraged old friends and strangers to strike up conversations. Reserving the dining room, bar, and trolley car ensured that there was plenty of seating. Other: As a bonus, the Hotel Fiesole is well known among many local vendors. Our florist, photographer, and DJ were very familiar with the venue, and that made everything work together seemlessly.

After reading some of the previous reviews, I'm kind of wondering if I ate at the same place as these folks? Hotel quality food? Menu.. pedestrian at best? Really? My best friend brought me here to celebrate Christmas, as we don't really exchange gifts but enjoy a nice night out. Upon being seated, I was asked multiple times if I wanted my coat checked by the hostess, bus boy and a our waiter. A little much, perhaps, but then if no one asked I'm sure anybody else would complain that they weren't asked. Our waiter was friendly, observant and attentive, giving us really great recommendations both on and off the menu from their specials. We started off with the sauteed scallops (3 large ocean scallops on a bed of sweet and sour butternut squash, apples, raisins and nuts). It was out of this world! For dinner, my best friend had the seafood risotto which was such a huge portion, he took half home with him. The fish was fresh and the risotto was of perfect quality. I opted for the steak with a hollandaise sauce and a side of mashed garlic potatoes and baby spinach. The steak was juicy and moist (melt in your mouth worthy) and everything was fresh and delicious. For dessert, we opted for coffee (best coffee I've had in a long time) and the nutella/banana/ice cream crepes. To the person who said the crepes are frozen -- you obviously know nothing about desserts. These crepes were delicious, made fresh that day (which they do with their desserts as they have a dessert chef in their kitchen who came out to chat with us) and were not from a freezer. I greatly believe some people have such high expectations from watching Food Network shows that they seem to miss the good qualities of places like this. My only recommendation would be to get a larger beer menu. They have plenty of well drinks, fancy drinks and cordials but the beer menu is lacking and only offers a few quality craft beers (Victory being one of them). Usually I would or wouldn't go to a place based on the recommendations here, but after reading some of the previous reviews, this is one you have to take their reviews with a grain of salt.

From a casual dinner and dancing in the lower levels to a romantic dinner in the main dining room to a catered birthday party to an awards ceremony, I have NEVER been disappointed by the Hotel Fiesole! I would highly recommend them for all of the above. I have never stayed in the hotel rooms, but had the opportunity to see them and they are lovely!

Hands down my favorite place in Skippack...as a resident of Skippack, i've tried them all. Great bar menu, excellent options for lunch and the dinner menu provides you with some original options not found elsewhere. The wine selection is lacking a bit for a place of this caliber, but the creative and attentive staff make up for this relatively small shortcoming. Great place for small weddings or just some fun on the weekend. Check out entertainment in the bottom bar.

So disappointing... Look, this is just one person's opinion, so take it for what it is, but this is a 2 star restaurant folks, at best. It's a textbook case of a restaurant being rated relative to its surroundings. My guess is people living in the outer 'burbs eat here because it reminds them of some real restaurants they've been to in the past, yet only a few minutes from home. So they give it five stars. Maybe because they're in denial, or maybe because they don't know any better. But I dare anyone who dines out with any regularity to explain to me how this could possibly be considered a quality restaurant. The details - Atmosphere: It's a typical hotel restaurant. The building isn't completely without it's charms, but the main dining room seemed somewhat gaudy, with carpeting, wallpaper and lighting reminiscent of the east ballroom at the local Holiday Inn convention center. There is a trolley car embedded in the facade of the building, which I think comes off as tacky rather than cute. Probably the funniest thing to me is this was listed as "dressy" on the Yelp profile, yet there were fellow diners wearing shorts! Food: Just not very good. I made the mistake of getting the steak, which was Outback steakhouse quality, at 4x the price. The roasted pear bruschetta had an odd flavor to it that made it taste kind of spoiled. The shrimp and potato soup was one of the few highlights. The rest of the dishes I sampled were forgettable. Service: average to slightly above. I wish I could remember the name of our waitress, but she was very down to earth and helpful in a setting that seemed to be needlessly stuffy. The bartenders were noticeably inexperienced, referencing a recipe book to make their own signature cocktails - though a side effect (benefit) of this inexperience was that they were adding way too much alcohol into the mixed drinks. Bottom line: It might be a great place for a family brunch on a Sunday morning, but Hotel Fiesole is completely missing it for dinner, fine dining or otherwise. Save your money for something better.

AWESOME, AWESOME PLACE!!! It is so beautiful inside and out. The food is amazing, the drinks are flowing perfectly and Timmy the bartender is just so fun and amazing! We come here for him. We love the Kinky Quizzo too! It is just a blast! :-) Also, came here for a bridal shower in the summer adn it was jsut perfect. The room, the servers, food, bar, everything! 5 STARS HOTEL FIESOLE! Timmy is the best!

Not worth it. I wanted to try something new and this Resturant looks so nice from the outside. I should have listened to the other reviews before going in. We were promptly greeted and were taken to our table in the downstairs resturant Bella Rosa, that was the best part of the experience. The service was not attentive or prompt. Once the waitress showed up I did explain that I was fussy and said they would be flexible with the menu. I started with the tomato soup with tortellini , I am not an expert here but there was no seasoning and it was so hot it must have been heated in a microwave. Next came the shrimp , not good either then the truffle fries which were soggy. During this time our server never came to check on our status and if the first course was good. We saw the bus boy more than anyone. At this point we decided to leave and go to another Resturant in the neighborhood. We won't be going back to Bella Rossa .

Wow...this place is worth the trip out to scenic Skippack. The fully restored small hotel...no expense spared...boasts several bars and dining areas. We went for Sunday brunch and it was the absolute best brunch buffet I've ever had...and I've been to all the top joints in the city and Manhattan. I consider it a mission...yea a pilgrimage...to find and subsequently bankrupt quality buffets through massive overindulgence, but this life calling was parried by Feisole's chefs. In addition to the omelet made to order and belgian waffle, as well as a host of other meats, cheeses, and fruits...they had a chef sauteing gnocchi in a pesto sauce. Superman meet kryptonite. I crawled away, literally and metaphorically speaking, from this impressive exhibition of all things breakfast. If you are looking for ideas for a charming overnight getaway not that far from the city, then look no further than Hotel Fiesole.

Ohhh Hotel Fiesole. One of my favorite spots in one of my favorite towns. If you choose to dine at "the Hotel", you are choosing a memorable experience. You will be impressed upon stepping out of your car after taking in the architecture and decor of this unique old building; complete w huge doorways, grand staircases, and a trolley car attached to one side. There are multiple floors, multiple bars, and multiple menus depending on what suits your mood. The food selections are expansive and meticulously detailed and the specials change nightly. You can find live entertainment on the weekends, and skilled bartenders at every level. The place draws a strong local crowd and can get very busy Thurs-Sat. Get there early to secure a seat at the bar. I've hosted corporate events here, multiple birthday parties, first dates, girls nights out, etc... With it's versatility of styles, there's really nothing Hotel Fiesole can't handle. (and yes, you can get a room, too.) Very nice menu and presentation of entrees at Mistral Restaurant. Sure its expensive and I'm not sure it's worth the lofty prices but if you're looking for a high end restaurant locally this is a viable option. The Lamb Chops entree from the specials list was beautifully done and the 4 chop portion, while somewhat small, really was just about right. Always solid.
