Good food, great specials, very small expect to wait. If it's busy the food takes a while with no apologies. Overall a good experience and will most likely come back. The waiting area is small and cramped, but if it's nice outside you can wait there.

Good breakfast. Good prices. Service was fair and the seating area is small but the inside of the restaurant is clean. Cute gem. Give it a try!

Great food, and the owners are just wonderful. They are very dog friendly and allowed my bulldog to sit with me outside. They even made extra bacon just for her!

My 3 year old son and I stopped by on a Saturday morning. It was busy, but we found a table. Vera was gracious. I had one of their specials, which was the best omelette I've ever had. The homefries were cooked like I asked, well done. The fruit cup was excellent fresh fruit, not canned. Reasonable prices. I'll be back. One of the best bang-for-the-buck breakfasts I've ever had.

Vera's is a great little dining nook in Northern Bucks County. The venue is small, so if you get there on a busy morning for breakfast, you may need to wait a while. There is a small waiting area at the front of the building. If you're trying, you can CRAM about 10 people in there at a time. There is a blackboard in that room, if you need to wait, be sure to write your name along with the number of people in your party on the board. As tables and bar seating become available, they will call the next party on the list. The service is friendly and efficient. They frequently filled our morning coffee and were very helpful with any questions about the menu. The omelets are enormous with 6 eggs in each of them. They'll also have a few special omelets on the breakfast menu to meet your tastes. Overall, this place charming, friendly, and makes a fantastic breakfast (and I'm sure their other meals are good, too). Be sure to stop in for a cozy meal!

Veri I'm sorry I left after breakfast ands forgot to leave tip. I will double it on Saturday with Same waitress that we had today. Again I'm sorry please make sure that we get the same one next Saturday.

I am so surprised by the reviews here. I couldn't wait to stop. I ordered pancakes, home fries, and scrapple. My first clue should have been the aunt jemima's syrup, instead of real syrup , on the table . The scrapple was horrible. I am Pa Dutch and love scrapple. I didn't eat it. The home fries were very dry and tasteless . The pancakes were obviously from a mix, not homemade, and very rubbery. I ate 4 or 5 bites, paid my bill, and left. I was looking forward to it, and was severely disappointed .

What a great spot! I had the creamed dried beef over potatoes with an egg on it... Wow! Just what I needed to get my day started. I can't wait to try their sausage gravy this winter.

Great breakfast. There is huge selection. Very nice staff. Home run. The only thing I don't like here is that they don't do dinner

One of the best places for breakfast, if you don't mind waiting. On a weekend morning, just the regulars will take the line out the door. Breakfast options range from the staples like omelets and french toast to special omelet concoctions from a true chef. The prices are great given both the quality and quantity of the food. If i didn't mind waiting, this would be a regular weekend activity for me. Always look at the special board - they come up with some great breakfast options.

Our family loves coming here when we are in the area. We look forward to returning every year. Great place, friendly staff, and awesome food! Makes me want to move closer to visit more!!!

My suggestion is that if it's your first time in and you aren't too big a party as in 2 or 3, sit at the bar. Vera, the owner realized after a few minutes of us sitting at the bar that we weren't from around here! She immediately welcomed us in her cafe! We told her we were in town to take a class at Linden Hill that started at 10:30, so she quick ran in the back to check on the status of our food. Ironically enough, she has family who live near where I grew up in NJ! The world truly is a small place! This is the deal at Vera's, if it's busy, write your name and the number of your party on the chalkboard in the vestibule, keep your ears open and if they ask you if you want to sit at the bar take them up on it. My mother has problems with her knees and she felt really comfy at the bar, and it's not squishy at all. Lots of room to tuck in to your meal and not bump elbows. We were at the bar with Walt, one of the regulars, he was having his sunday best meal, a colby cheese omelet with marinara sauce, the waitress knew his order. His weekday meal is scrambled eggs. He was a real character and reminded me of my Grandpa. He was teasing the waitresses and he was fun to talk with. The food......First off almost everything is local. The eggs, the meat, the dairy products. My mom got a cup of chocolate milk to go, cause it was just that good. It was from the local dairy and poured from the glass container from the dairy. I had eggs benedict. I am sort of the queen of eggs benedict. I've had them at the The Plaza Hotel, I've had em green eggs, sabrina's, everywhere from the hole in the wall to the creme de la creme. These were the best I've had in ages! The hollandaise was perfect. The poached egg was velvety and lush. The english muffin still crisp. Oh the canadian bacon......you've never had canadian bacon this good. It's not the tough chewy circular perfect pucks you are used to. It's tenderloin from the local farm, thin, smoky, slightly salty, and almost buttery. The home fries were excellent. Not greasy or oily at all. Crispy, warm, soft and wondrous to use as a device to eat the leftover hollandaise! My mother was going to try one of the specials, an omelette with pastrami which sounds crazy decadent, but she decided just to have eggs. She said the eggs were the best she has ever had in restaurant. Fluffy, light, cooked to perfection. She had the canadian bacon as well. My grandpa mentioned above was a butcher. My mother is picky. My grandpa made his own scrapple. Canadian bacon and Ham are her fave breakfast meats and she was raving about the Canadian bacon as well. They also serve stash teas which are a favorite bagged tea of ours. Definitely worth the wait, we are already planning our next trip. I would seriously drive the 90 minutes it took us both ways for their breakfast. Vera and Walt made us feel like family having breakfast in their home. Plan a trip to Ottsville soon, especially if you like gardening or antiquing! Oh and I nearly forgot to tell you, two breakfasts ( eggs with home fries, toast, meat and eggs benedict) and two drinks was 18 bucks.......such quality for a reasonable price!!!!

We live in Sellersville and are more then happy to make the drive out to Veras for breakfast or lunch! I am gluten and lactose free due to MS, but I always have a wonderful meal at Veras without asking for anything special! Everything is so healthy and not pre-processed foods, you will be able to eat a wonderful meal without having diet restriction conflicts. While this is a country cafe, this is not your typical country eatery! This is a place that has a chef, not a cook... you can find your usual sandwiches and such, but always, always, always check out the specials!!! And being gluten/lactose free, breakfast is almost an omelete with veggies or bacon (or combo), Vera's is by far the absolute best omelete I've ever had... again I've eaten more then my share due to limited diet options! If you go for lunch, the salad specials are usually creative and delicious creations! My husband swears by their cheesesteaks and would take a Vera cheesesteak over one of the two 'famous' Philly steak shops :) Only negative is that they only serve breakfast on Sundays and I have to listen to my husband complain he can't get a cheesesteak for Sunday brunch! :)

We moved to the area late last summer (2012) and were working hard to make our house move in ready. We were grateful that Vera's was right around the corner. The waitress made us feel at home. The next day she asked us if we wanted the same table and remembered..."

Love the charm and friendliness of this country cafe. I had the sausage gravy and biscuits which were sinfully delicious with just the right amount of pepper and generous portions of sausage. Biscuits were perfect. Portions too big for me but, hey, I really enjoyed it. Husband had eggs benedict that included perfectly poached eggs and a lovely sauce. Boring commercial English muffins were a big detractor-- We ate at the counter. Service was friendly, timely. We felt welcomed even though we were clearly strangers amongst folks who all seemed to know each other. Definitely go back soon.

Horrible service food and atmosphere the quality of the food is subpar. if you are a local you know this place is bad if you a weekender it won't take you long to figure that out also, lucky they got one star. I think people are more interested in a cheap quick price...

The good is very good and prices are average. I do suggest getting one of their meals instead of ordering al a carte. However, you'll wait forever if you're not a regular. With a small establishment with four other small tables during the weekday, there's no reason why we had to wait 20 minutes for our check. No one was offered a refill on drink expect me with a refill on my coffee that was still half full. I'd rather go to the Oaks or the Quakertown Family Restaurant. The staff is friendlier there and the food just as good.

Fresh, delicious, locally sourced breakfast! We just found this cute, clean little restaurant and don't think twice about driving 1/2 hour each way to satisfy our cravings. When you arrive you feel like you are on a rustic country vactation. If you're in the area it is a must stop, prices are beyond reasonable and the restaurant has lots of charm. This restaurant is very close to Nock-A-Mixon State Park. Enjoy....Yum-Yum

One word. Awesome!! I am local and Vera's is without a doubt the place for breakfast! I have not been there for lunch since I am always working, but I'm sure lunch is great too. We are lucky to have a place like this so close. I miss the previous location but I understand why they moved. It was a little tight in there. Trust me, go there!!

My family and I frequented Veras a lot because of their good food and unique specials...but we will not EVER give them our business again. This morning myself, my husband, and our three small children, (who were very well behaved) ate and enjoyed our breakfast, paid, and left a $10 tip on a $44 bill....Vera (the owner) actually followed us out to the parking lot and snottily said to my husband that every time we come in to eat, our kids make a mess on the table, and that next time they would appreciate if we cleaned up after ourselves because it really holds them up having to spend additional time clearing the table. SERIOUSLY?! It was not even that messy- my son had been stacking up the jelly packets, so maybe those were lying out, but aside from that, it was pretty typical- there wasn't even a ton of stuff on the floor or anything. I could not believe my ears- the whole reason one goes out is to not have to cook or clean. Also, the fact that they take credit cards, but don't have the capability to accept tips on them is very annoying. They don't have a sign telling you this, so we have had to walk out without tipping because we didn't have cash, and they acted all annoyed even though we remembered to tip double the next time we went in- NOT a child friendly place, or one that we will be supporting ever again.

Great food and prices are fair for the quality of food they serve. Generous portions. Not a fan of the table arrangements, but not much you can do with a small one-room dining area. Crowded on weekends, but they seem to turnover in a timely manner. The servers are not the happiest/friendliest (I believe one is the owner actually), but service is good.
