Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

I've been going to Luigi's for years. Their food is always consistent and I wouldn't hesitate to reccomend to anyone. All of their pizza is delicious, and I especially dig the steak combo hoagie. My one complaint is the bar. While the bar area itself is quite nice, the seats themselves are uncomfortable. Also there is never any music on, which can make it feel awkward when it's not busy, and kinda kills the atmosphere. There is always background music in the restaurant itself but not the bar for some reason. Also, we requested the TV channel on one of the TVs be changed, but the bartender told us she was not allowed to do so. We were forced to watch and listen to Fox News, which does not exactly give a romantic and relaxing vibe after a day of work. We would definitely eat in at Luigis more if not for the uncomfortable atmosphere at the bar.

Food was ok and bartender was great but the owner is very rude. Multiple guests including myself we enjoying dinner and playing along with the show on the television. He tells the bartender to change it to CNN. Sorry Mr Owner, we don't want to watch the 12th repeat of the day's news and watch clips being bleeped out while trying to take a break from the day. To top it off he wasn't even in the front of house. You actions explain your empty dining room.

The food is okay, but the service is terrible. I ate dinner here tonight and our waitress was rude. She was working 2 tables, so she wasn't overly busy. 2 waters took over 5 minutes. We finished our waters about a minute into our meals and she never came by to check on us. We had to go to the bar to get more water ourselves. When she brought out the check, I said thank you and got no response. Not sure what crawled up her ass, but she needs to learn how to interact with customers. If one of my employees acted like that, they would get retrained in customer service.

I have never written a review before. I was hoping my first one would be about a place being exceptionally excellent, unfortunately it is quite the opposite. My boyfriend and I (both in our younger twenties) went into the bar after work to grab a drink and a bite to eat. We walked into the bar section not to be greeted at all. The bartender then proceeded to throw menus on our table and walk away without saying a word. Following that I ordered a Bloody Mary and my boyfriend ordered a beer. He did not politely ask for our ID's, he simply held up his hand in the shape on an ID with a "how dare you even come in here" attitude. I have never felt so unwelcome or uncomfortable at a restaurant in my life. Due to the bartender's obvious contempt for us as customers, we immediately recognized we would not be ordering anything to eat. It was as if we were a complete and total inconvenience for giving this establishment service. Being in our younger twenties, I have no issue with being asked for my ID. However I do have an issue when a bartender is completely condesending and blatantly rude. Fortunately the Bloody Mary was actually quite good. The bartender's attitude was not. I felt immediately stereotyped and could definitely sense age discrimination. Although my boyfriend and I are in our younger twenties, we are mature, respectful, polite, and generous. When we receive good service, it obviously reflects in our tip. I am actually too nice to the point of tipping better than most even when service isn't up to par. Tipping at all in this situation was too generous, but we still left him a couple of dollars for our drinks. I will not be back.

If you like the local favorite Andy's pizza, try Luigi's Mid Valley style. It's almost a sister pizza to Andy's though not the exact same. Their salads are also great and have a pretty large menu otherwise.

I've gone for lunch a few times and for drinks at the bar. Always been good. I like the bar area a lot.

I love Luigi's - I go once (or twice!) every time I visit from the west coast (where good pizza doesn't exist). The bar is one of my favorites - good atmosphere, pretty quiet, and the bartender that's usually there is really nice. They probably have the best New York style pizza in the area (in my opinion). The Mid Valley style is also really good - I was disappointed when they stopped selling it by the slice. Oh, and if you order salad, get the house dressing. It's balsamic vinaigrette with cheese and it's wonderful.

I'm giving it 4 stars based on only the pizza. If I was grading it on the waitresses it would be 1 star because they like to stand around and when you walk in they just stare at you and give you a weird dirty look half the time. Pizza is great though, I suggest picking it up and taking home because the staff is not pleasant. The other half of the restaurant has a really nice bar, it is great to go get some drinks and appetizers and hang out there.

Great beer. Great food. Try the Mid Valley Pizza with Bacon. Absolutely delicious. Buffalo Bites are also great. Excellent atmosphere. Coffeehouse XM radio station Is always playing. Also, Melissa is the best bartender I've ever had. Get down here and enjoy!

They have good food at good prices. Plenty of seating and clean. Clean bathrooms. Parking sucks though.

5 stars for their Super Stromboli! If we need a take-out treat we head down to Luigi's for a Super Stromboli. No vegetables get in the way here . . . this is just fresh dough, lots of cheese, pepperoni, ham, etc. The best!

I miss you, Luigi's. Living in the south does not provide me a plethora of pizza options as the great NEPA area does. Luigi's was a staple for me growing up, when they were just a tiny pizza joint on the corner where our mighty rivers meet (in name only), Lackawanna and Susquehanna. My Grandpa would buy a tray every Friday for myself and my cousins to eat after school. I think it was more delicious back in the day, but it's still is pretty good today. Try the Mid Valley to punch up your basic NY Style tray. Yum. Also, the bar is pretty cool, if you can avoid some of the urban hillbillies who decided to get classy drunk and act a fool. Thanks for telling us we're beautiful, crazy old man, but you did NOT have to scream it repeatedly at us from across the bar.

The sign says "Please seat yourself" so we did and said "hello" to servers as the passed and no one waited on us for 20 min. I have had their food before which is good but restaurant service needs a lot of work.

We ordered pizza and a order of wings . The pizza came out first nice and hot . ( that's the 1 star ) . It all went down hill from there . We then got are wings they were cool . Something was a little off . For the next 2 days my 8 year old son and I were sick as sick could be . Would never go back .

It's not perfect but it is probably one of the best NY style pizzas you can find in the area. Nothing special but it is good.

Been eating Luigis Pizza ever since I was a kid. They've come a long way since the days of the small pizza shop on the corner with the full restaurant and bar. The quality is still the same. My favorites are the Mid Valley Special Pizza & the Cheesesteak hoagie.
(5)Allison M.
Best pizza in all of NEPA. Great beer selection on draft too.

Just came back from lunch at this place. I spent $40 for 2 people and would have fathered the dollar menu food at McDonalds. I expected to spend about $20 for what we ordered then was told our items were double what we thought. Wraps, sandwiches, pasta and all other means are terrible. Pizza is the only good thing.

Pizza tastes like nothing. No flavor. Pasta dinners are overpriced and very bland.

The best pizza I have eaten in a long time!!! Eveyone needs to try the Midvalley Special!!! I highly recommend this place to everyone!!!

Luigi's has been my favorite pizza since I was a kid. The restaurant itself is very nice. The staff has always been nice. I've never been in the bar area before but it looks a litte small. It gets 5 stars from me because of the pizza!!

Usually good food but not too consistant. Wings are average at best. Pizza although is excellent. Bar area is small but nice. Would recommend it but not as a foray choice.

Very nice staff and the pizza is pretty good. i for one am not a New york style kinda guy, but theirs is pretty good. they have a great jerk chicken salad. its a good hang, bar side is nice too

Good selection of Italian food, very good pizza. I've eaten from there many times and never had a complaint. The sit down service has always been good. The inside has been remodeled within the past few years and it's clean. They also have a decent selection of beers and have 6-packs to go.
