Pizza
Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Stopped in here on the way to Limerick to pick up my car. My husband likes trying new places and I accommodate him. As another reviewer wrote................the music will burst your eardrums. So we opted to sit outside even though the ambiance didn't look appetizing as Route 422 is right in the backyard. I have to tell you it was so much better outside. We split the Shrimp & Crab dip....it comes with several pieces of toasted garlic bread and it was indeed okay. The pizza on the other hand was really nothing to write home about. The crust was tasteless and we should have just eaten the top with a fork. Our server was young and probably not too experienced though she was very pleasant and tried hard. Just don't think we'll have a second meal here.

Looking out my Valley Forge motel room window, I noted an Uno Pizzeria across the street from the strip mall! Close enough for me to walk, (in a not so friendly traffic environment!) I made the trek in anticipation of a deep dish, thick and cheesy Chicago style pie which I had not consumed in years. I ordered the small numero uno and it was not at all what I had remembered or anticipated from my last experience at an Uno in Fort Worth, Texas 7-8 years ago . This presentation was smaller, thinner, anemic at best! Much less cheese, certainly not stringy from the fork to my mouth! It also appeared to be lacking the meats that should have been layered inside! (menu said sausage, pepperoni onions, and the other good stuff.) Don't get me wrong, the pie was flavorful with its butter crust. Good but not so good that I will desire to put my body and limbs at risk and walk across the street to return. This meal was certainly not worth decimating my diet......... I only prayed it was going to be! Remorseful about caving in, however I did enjoy a cold Sam Adams Lager and some good friendly service along with it, but with a sigh I will have to say for the price paid, Meh, I have had better pizza pie in multiple places!

Always enjoy coming here for dinner. Our favorite time to come is during a football game, snag some seats at the bar, and enjoy the game. During game time, it's considered happy hour...domestics are cheap and craft brews are $1.50 off. Their food is good, never been disappointed. I really enjoy their Chicago style pizza, the Numero Uno is always a winner. The prosciutto arugula flatbread is also really good! Great service and the manager is very hands on.

I ordered a pizza and asked for a $3 add-on salad, but was served and charged for the full $12 salad. Flatbread Pizza and bigger salad were ok. We're regulars at Conshy and Neshaminy, so this experience at Blackrock was disappointing. Tip, check your takeout order before you pay and leave. Update: Regional mgr apologized for error and offered refund. I believe they truly care about customers, eat-in or out. We'll be back.

Had a great time at Uno. Catherine was a fantastic waitress. Get the shrimp and crab dip as an app - it was amazing! We also tried the 4 beer bottle special which was a fun way to try some new brands and flavors. I would definitely return.

Please don't come here!!!! Selfishly I want to make sure there's a seat at the bar for me! And so if it's not clear, my review is for the bar. I've only once sat in the dining room. This place is underrated and I can't wait to come back. They have a KILLER beer selection especially for a chain, and the food is good and reasonably priced. This place is unpretentious. Without saying, their classic deep dish is amazing. The farmer's market deep dish with whole grain dough is good too, but I prefer the regular, crispy and flaky dough. It reminds me of actual Chicago deep dish from Lou Malnotti's. I was really impressed recently with their execution of gnocchi. Now, for those of you who aren't familiar, this pasta is small, pillowy, drops of fluffy, carby goodness. There is a better probability that you've previously had BAD gnocchi, rather than great, or even good. Uno's surprisingly had excellent execution of texture and they even managed to stuff it with a little cheese and garlic. I was SO impressed. There's so many Italian restaurants that can't get gnocchi right, and here an American chain does. Bravo! Do NOT come here without a coupon. They send them out in mailers. 20% or $XX off. The atmosphere here gets lively during sport events. The decor in the bar is simple. Painted walls and beer signs and lights. Service is pretty good at the bar, but sometimes the bartenders get distracted and take a few minutes longer to get back to you. The dining room gets pretty loud too. It's a magnet for family-type and casual events. They have some decent happy hour specials. $4.50 craft drafts and they have about 20 or so. And 1/2 off certain appetizers. Not bad, but the food is already so reasonably priced, especially with a coupon. Also, if you're watching your weight and counting calories, you can get away with a reasonable meal not too high in kcals: petite steak and veggies. It even tastes good.

Went for lunch. We ordered candied walnut with goat cheese salad, and a cheddar cheeseburger with a farro with tomatoe side dish. I had the eggplant and sundrird tomato flat bread (awesome) grilled herb chicken salad (delicious) unfortunately When the candied walnut salad arrived we were told "then"that the're out of candied walnuts and the farro arrived very under cooked. No attempt was made by either the waitress or management to rectify UNTILwe asked. When we received the bill, $5.00 was deducted. Which was fine.

For a chain, it's really pretty great. The wine and beer selection is fantastic, and the menu has a lot to offer. The service was fantastic...From our hostess to our waitress. No complaints, and I'll definitely go back if I'm in the area.

We visited here again and my wife ordered the fish and chips. After eating two bites both the fish and chips started tasting bitter. This means they haven't cleaned out the friers probably in long time. That repeated frying resulted unclean fryers, which resulted a bitter taste. Not sure we would come here again for dinner.

I have been here a handful of times now - grand opening, drinks at the bar, dinner, and a private party. The customer service is outstanding, and at a big chain restaurant that is hard to come by! The food is good, and the service is fast and attentive even when the place is packed! The waitress from our private party even recognized us a few weeks later and stopped by our table to say, "Hi!" Parking can be tricky at popular times like lunch and dinner on the weekends, but the outdoor fire pit is a nice add on and I can't wait to sit outside on spring or fall nights! Ladies be warned, there are no purse hooks in the bathroom stalls, but I did mention that on a comment card!

We went there for the first time. We met the manager and he asked if everything was ok. We each ordered our own personal pizza. I got a deep dish with the 9 grain crust. It was delicious. My husband picked his toppings! Not sure how they managed to do that! The wait wasnt long enjoyed my meal and we will be back!

I called and ordered a large cheese pizza to go one day after work, and unfortunately I didn't look at it before leaving. I got home and found that I basically paid for a large box and got a small pizza. It was definitely not worth the money I paid for it and it tasted like eating cardboard. I've had true Chicago style pizza before, and the city of Chicago should file a lawsuit against Uno for their false claiming and misrepresentation of a product from their city. Maybe the people in Pennsylvania just don't know how to make Chicago style pizza and an Uno in Chicago has fantastic food, but in terms of this Uno in Oaks, PA...I'll take my business elsewhere.
(1)Sarah R.
Every meal we've eaten here has been very good. The deep dish pizzas and the flatbreads are fantastic. The goat cheese and walnut salad is my favorite salad from any restaurant, the blueberry dressing is delicious. Most importantly, every server we've had has been very good, friendly and attentive, it's obvious the manager puts a high importance on hiring friendly and competent people.
(4)Laurie B.
Had dinner at the bar and our bartenders were excellent. We landed on frequent diner appreciation evening and got to also sample a selection of Uno's offering. Food was fine. Can't complain. What made the meal even better were our bartenders. They had great personalities and that just made the meal better.

I try to refrain from writing reviews about chains, but I thought it necessary to review this particular Uno. The staff were great. I ate here with my wife and my son after we took my little man to Arnold's Playhouse for his birthday. They sang to him and treated us great. The food was good as it usually is at Uno, but the biggest draw for me was the customer service. The chances of me being in Oaks again is probably very slim, but if I am in the area and have a taste for pasta or pizza, I'm heading to this Uno.
(4)Julie F.
Great, friendly service, hands-on manager, and decent food. Just have to mention that unless you are under 40, you will probably be driven out by the pop/rap music that is unnecessarily loud. I can tolerate the loudest rock concert, but I don't need bad music being beat into my ears while I eat lunch. Might be ok for the late-night drinkers at the bar, but not appropriate for 3:00 on a Sunday afternoon. I'm a child of the 70s, but I'd rather listen to Frank Sinatra with my pizza, than annoying, Katy Perry.

I went here for a party with some friends on Saturday night. They gave us a private room, and we had a blast! We had a server dedicated to running drinks our way. She did a great job of keeping tabs on everyones tabs... you like how i did that there? Some people ordered food, and again, they did a great job of tracking down the right people and getting them the right stuff. By the end of the night, it was like herding kittens, but they kept their cool. All the beers were delicious, and the little food i ate was also fab (should have eaten more!!!). Everyone I talked to was very nice, and the place was super-clean. For a chain, this place was great!

We started our family night here. Marcus was our server and he did a tremendous job. He was attentitive and even engaged my four year old daughter in conversation. My daughter made her own pizza, I ordered the roasted vegi and goat cheese wrap, and my husband ordered the rattlesnake chicken sandwich. My wrap was ok. Not enough goat cheese and no mushrooms which would have been nice. I don't think I would order it again. I do wish they had healthier options. My husband enjoyed his sandwich as did my daughter with her pizza. The server really took this review from three stars to four. The restaurant filled all at once and never did I feel like he was overwhelmed and he was on top of everything. Even the manager stopped by to see how the food was. They've outdone themselves with service, the menu now needs to catch up.

We were there the first week. The wait staff seemed to be still in the breaking in phase. For some reason the lights were up bright like we were in a high school cafeteria. Food was good. Fairly priced. I will likely try them again.

The location opened up this weekend and was very busy. This was my first visit to an Uno's and my first taste of Chicago style pizza. There were free appetizers and drinks in the party room to keep us happy while we waited to be seated. Once seated, we placed our order. A pizza arrived within 10 minutes but once we tried our slices, we saw that we got the wrong pizza. The manager apologized and our pizza arrived a few minutes later. My friend really enjoyed it. I am not as big of a fan of the crust and prefer a thin crust. I am very impressed with the beer selection and would like to try catching sports in the bar area sometime.
(3)David C.
Even though it's a chain, this is well run. Staff very friendly and attentive. Good food and excellent selection at the bar. I'd definitely recommend this place. If I lived in the area, guarantee I'd be a "regular"!
(5)Tyler N.
AVOID! AVOID! AVOID! THIS PLACE FUCKIN SUCKS!! The pizza is worse than frozen Red Baron, and Red Baron pizza blows! The artichoke dip was the worst I've ever had. It was big chewy pieces of artichokes in alfredo sauce, served with chips that were stale as hell. The mac and cheese was pasta in the same exact alfredo sauce! Wtf!? I'm not bullshitting. If you love shit-ass food you'll love Uno. All the waitresses are young dumb bitches who have no clue what the fuck they're doing. She handed me a plate that was hot as balls and after I burned my finger prints off, she's like "That plate is hot." NO SHIT!! You couldn't fuckin pay me to go back to this DUMP!! It's a total fuckin shithole.
(1)Jennifer B.
Horrible bar service. Watched the bartender put a paper receipt right in someone's drink on purpose. The beers we ordered came out warm. No organization at all. And this was at 2pm
(2)Matt A.
My wife and I have been here a few times. Appetizers and salads are average. We've had the deep dish pizza a couple times and last time we had it was years ago at other locations. Feel like its not as good as before, maybe its just this location. Service in bar area was good, not as good in the main dining area, waiter forgot our waters and my beer. Best thing about this place is the beer selection, awesome rotation of craft beers from all over.
(3)Bill G.
Delicious food and awesome service. Bathrooms are super clean. Our server Amy G might have been the best waitress I have ever had the pleasure of meeting.
(5)Darren G.
The deep dish pizza is very good. They have dogfish head on tap so they get an extra star just for that. Kids eat free on Tuesdays, that's a real nice touch. Wait staff was attentive and very personable. Food did take quite a while to come out even though they were not packed. I'll go back...

Visited Uno to watch the world cup and have some appetizers (I was told they have 1/2 price appetizers from 4-7 at the bar). I really liked the atmosphere--bright, open, nice decor. They even have a large outdoor patio with a firepit which will be great in the fall and spring. The service was outstanding; the bar staff asked my name, introduced themselves and made food suggestions (and it was very busy). They made me feel very welcomed. As far as the appetizers, we enjoyed their chicken wings and crab dip. They were very good as well. I loved the large screen tv's- great for watching the game. will absolutely being going back!
(5)Prof J.
The food was ok. It did not wow me that I need to return anytime soon. The temperatures seemed consistent with regulatory standards and the restrooms were very clean. The atmosphere is very nice and not your typical UNOs that I had been to in the past. The fire place was burning nicely and provide a warm feeling on a cold overcast afternoon. Sadly the aesthetically pleasing environment of the restaurant and taste of the food could not begin to balance the customer service issue. The waitress made a comment reviewing the drink menu and said these are our fruity drinks but you don't look like the fruity type- which could be construed in a number of ways by the wrong person when communicating with the public. Then we patiently waited over 30 minutes for our appetizer of nachos to arrive. Getting a refill on my beverage was a task, and the waitress wanted to bring the check and hurry us out before we were done. The restaurant was not even 1/2 full. I was disappointed with the service. There was not even an apology for the food being so late- despite indirectly finding out she failed to put it in the computer until 30 minutes after we arrived. No ownership or accountability for the service just an attempt to rush us out the door. I will not be returning anytime soon!

The food is always outstanding (best French onion soup ever!), but the Saturday female bartenders are horrible! My husband and I came in at 8pm for a quick dinner at the bar, and after waiting awhile to order our food, we were not provided with napkins or silverware once we got our food. It was clearly a "front house" issue - as the food came out very efficiently and was delicious. I watched the bartender socialize with 4 other single male customers more than 3 times each before giving my husband and I a sideways "what else do you need" glance, all I wanted was a a Box and to cash out. The couple sitting next to us had 2 side salads without silverware for over 10 minutes! A random waitress finally got it for them. Booooo for customer service (unless you are a single male). She missed out on a 25%+ tip and was stuck with my 13%. Idiot.
(2)Medi K.
They were not even busy but the Food took too long almost 30 min , my steak arrived cold and they had to remake it , they have nice tv screens but they were all flickering on and off during the game .the manager removed the steak from the bill and apologized about the wait time .food was ok overall !! They just opened so I ll give them one more chance to see if they improved their service .
(2)Kevin H.
Right on par with all the other Uno's have been. Average quality and priced food and excellent service. Sat at the bar at my most recent visit and the bartender was great. They were very assertive and I didn't need to wait long for beverage refills, them to take my order, or them to bring me my check. Great addition to the Oaks area.
(5)Kate F.
This place has amazing service. Everyone at this location is incredibly friendly and ready to help make your meal perfect. I had dinner there 3/3/14 and it was a great experience. I accidentally ordered the classic Chicago style pizza when I just meant a regular run of the mill deep dish and the staff was so understanding and helpful. I really appreciated the way they went above and beyond to help out. Great staff. Good food.

The family and I stopped by this newly opened restaurant at Oaks on a Sat. at around 1pm. Though it's peak lunch hour, it's rather quiet. Despite that, almost everything is great! Since the restaurant is new, the bath room is clean and in great shape, which a lot of restaurants around the neighborhood lack. We chose the outdoor sitting. The table and chars are in great shapes... There's not single sight of bird dropping anywhere...one of the big No-No for outdoor dinning. As for the food, we ordered from the 2 for $12 menu and got a class Chicago pizza, vegi medley pasta and chicken parmesan. The pizza was great...just like Uno used to make. The crust was crispy, but not doughy. The sauce is not too salty...however, the sausage is a bit gamy...this could be that they didn't put enough seasoning in the sausage. The pastas were great. The chicken in the chicken parm is thin and has a thin crispy parmesan crust. The meat was cooked just right. The wait staff does need more training about the common courtesy, but that would just icing on the cake!
(4)Martin F.
Another enjoyable meal at the Pizzeria Uno in Oaks! Our waitress was very kind and attentive, the shrimp and crab dip appetizer was scrumptious, and the Mediterranean thin crust 5 grain pizza was very tasty. We thoroughly enjoyed lunch and look forward to our next visit.
(5)Alex Z.
At the end of the day, it's a chain restaurant so the food is unlikely to be materially different than something you'd get at another Uno. I'll say that the craft beer selection differentiates them from other chain establishments I've visited in the area - 28 taps with some relatively esoteric stuff: Avery maharaja and founders dirty bastard to name a couple. Good happy hour spot, just know that not all of their craft beers are discounted at happy hour
(4)Robin K.
Food took forever, then was cold. Bartender was slow as a turtle. We wont be going back anytime soon.
(2)Satish K.
Really slow service. Weve been here 4 times and every time it took forever for someone to show up after we were seated. Once we ordered the 1st round of drinks..it took 20 mins to get them. The food arrived cold...im not coming back here again.

I normally go to the UNOs in Plymouth Meeting but figured I would give this new location a try since it is closer to my house, boy was I not impressed. My boyfriend and I sat at the bar to have drinks and dinner like we normally do, this was the slowest service we have ever experienced at an UNOs. I can't remember the bartenders name but she had very short blonde hair, she was very nice in the beginning but basically ignored us once it started to get busy. In the beginning she asked our names, the type of beer we drink and gave us samples of craft beers they had on tap, this was very impressive, however once it came time to take our food order I had already drank a full beer. The food came at a normal time and tasted the same as the other location, however the bartender NEVER came back to check on us. This is no excuse especially since three other bartenders were also working. Also I noticed one of the other bar tenders looking at my empty cup but never asked if I wanted a refill, what just because she wasn't the original one to serve me? Overall it's clear this staff can't handle a busy restaurant and hopefully they get an idea of what great customer service is before they lose all their customers.
(3)Rula R.
I admire the customers service and the professionalism that every single employee has! The food is great and I always leave happy and satisfied.
(5)Brian C.
3.5 stars based on 2 visits to the bar for lunch, rounded up to 4 for the good service behind the bar. Bartenders were great, service was great, food not quite as great, but decent. I've had the burger and the 6oz lunch steak so far. The burger was good, but a bit overdone as far as my medium rare is concerned, but it was not good enough to keep me from going to Cheeburger Cheeburger around the corner if a burger is what I'm looking for. The lunch steak was pitifully small at 6 oz, but cooked a very nice medium rare. I will probably never order a steak here again, but wanted to give it a shot. Got the naked baked potato which is basically mashed potatoes with some toppings mixed in and a HUGE dollop of sour cream on top. It is probably a lot easier for them to keep a pile of mashed potatoes available rather than a bunch of baked potatoes, but I must say I prefer the actual potato. I sat at the bar to watch the Olympics, they have many TVs in this area and there is hardly a place to sit without a good view in the bar area. There are also tables around the bar that have waiter service which includes 3 tables right by the fireplace! Looked very cozy yesterday but was occupied so I had a seat at the bar with the lovely Davida taking care of business. I will head back, probably to watch more Olympics and try the Pizza which I assume will be delicious since it is a Pizzeria!
(4)Trisha W.
so we came here yesterday and were looking forward to some steaks. One ordered med-rare and one medium. they both came out very well done. Very sad. We didn't think much of it, told our waiter and proceeded to eat the steaks. The manager Jules came over and apologized, and in addition to making us new steaks to go home with, she comped part of our bill too. Thankfully when we got home the to go steaks were cooked just like we like them. So Thanks Jules, you saved our first world problem day!

My Girlfriend and I went to uno this past weekend for a date night (her choice). Food was fantastic and the waiter was great, he kept checking in, bringing us water when he noticed our glasses running low. However, the god-awful mixed drinks my girlfriend and I received were the worst of their kind we've ever had. I ordered a mint mojito (which I've had plenty of) which had absolutely no rum in it. I couldn't even taste a hint of alcohol. My girlfriend ordered a Margarita and it tasted like they put sour mix and lemon juice in a glass (not even a margarita glass). Once again, no alcohol could even be tasted. When I asked that the waiter send the items back, he offered to bring another of each. I agreed to this, however, the bar manager said that the drinks were 'measured' and that they would taste exactly the same. I had them take both drinks off of my bill as I wasn't interested in pursuing the matter (I'm not Jon Taffer and I'm not there to fix the bar no matter how awful the drinks). I felt that the awful drinks outweighed the quality of the food and service and as a result I don't think we'll be revisiting this establishment any time in the near future.
