I haven't been to this location since 2006, but I don't know how much it's improved since then. I used to come here for lunch after doing my thing over at John Casablancas next door. Cheeburger Cheeburger is a cute place. The retro theme and the decor is fun. The possibility of having your picture taken with a stuffed cheeseburger as a reward for consuming a massive amount of meat... pretty neat, if you ask me. Nothing's made to order, but I (of no income at the time) would order something like, a small salad and onion rings. I would have to wait 10-20 minutes to get my food. The wait time was always long for my food. HOWEVER. The food is quite satisfying and I love the milkshakes. I only had maybe 2 flavors and I played it safe, but I kind of really love the feel of ordering a milkshake while my friends shared a malt at a place with this retro feel, you know? I had a veggie burger here and it was pretty tasty. I can't say whether the other burgers are good just because I don't really eat hamburger anymore. To sum up, it's a fun place with super friendly wait staff, but the wait gets long for food that isn't flying me to the moon.

Will add this place to my 'go to occasionally' for lunch list. Not bad at all. Burger meat was very good, so many toppings to choose from and the onion rings were to my liking. Competition in the area will lose some business now as I make this part of my routine casual dining outings. Friendly staff and good service.

Cheeburger used to offer one of the best burgers in the area until 5 Guys opened up a location on Street Road in Feasterville. Now it's still a decent spot for a burger, although I think the sides and shakes overshadow the eponymous menu offering. Burgers come in a variety of sizes up to one pound. Cheeburger offers a lot of free toppings, including some interesting choices like artichoke hearts and roasted red peppers. Most are free, which is a definite plus. The burger itself is alright, nothing spectacular. They've switched to antibiotic, hormone-free meat recently which is a plus (to me at least). The meat's underseasoned and, no matter how you order it, you will get a well done burger. I ordered a medium and there wasn't any hint of pink in the meat. Given this, it's not as good as 5 Guys, where the obligatorily well-done burgers are tasty and juicy. The topping combinations take care of any major flavor issues, though. Other offerings include chicken sandwiches, veggie burgers, and wraps. I've sampled some of these, but they're nothing special. Fortunately burgers isn't all they do. Shakes are pretty good, it's a 50's themed joint so expect options such as malts, shakes, and interesting soda combinations. The fries are stellar and give anything else I've tried a run for its money. They're cooked in peanut oil, and are super crisp on the outside yet almost creamy on the inside. The onion rings are solid too; the eggy, crunchy batter complements the onions well. Service fluctuates, but is never unacceptable. All told this place shouldn't advertise itself on its underseasoned, overcooked burgers. Go here for the great fries, onion rings, and shakes.

I was excited to see that I can order my burger medium. You can also order veggie burgers, which my wife really enjoyed. The food was good, but slow service. There was only one server when we went. That would not be so bad, but she was slow with only two tables.

After passing this place many times, and always seeing it crowded, I decided to give it a shot. The interior of the place was nothing special; sort of a 50s style dining area, but not quite. I was seated right away, which may have been the highlight of my experience. My server took quite a long time to greet me (Over 10 minutes) which allowed me to choose what I wanted from their extensive menu. I ended up getting an order of loaded fries and their middle of the road sized burger, medium, with a few of the free toppings and cheddar cheese, as well as a Diet Pepsi for a drink. Not to get into the finer points of casual dining serving, but my server did not try to upsell me, which I guess is good, but at the same time didn't try to ask me if I wanted any extra toppings, free or charged. It took another 10 minutes for me to get my Diet Pepsi, which, if busy, should not even take 5 at max. To add insult to injury, the serving station, which was visible, allwed me to see my server gabbing away and on her cell phone while I waited with a dry mouth. My food came 15 minutes after that, and was even more of a disappointment. My fries were actually quite tasty, though the chili was bland and obviously some sort of rendition of Hormel while the cheese was some sort of bland imitation cheddar. You could tell they were sitting, too, because the fries were very soggy. The burger was made of frozen beef, which isn't uncommon, but they boasted fresh. It was also unseasoned, leading to a bland product, though it was cooked to medium. The bun was your middle of the road kaiser, nothing but a placeholder really. I ordered my burger with cheddar, but it was obviously some sort of yellow American cheese, and my toppings were a bit cheap; the jalapenos were pickled, not fresh. Going back to my server, she not once checked in on me unitl I was obviously 90% finished with my meal; not once to refill my tiny glass of Diet Pepsi (for which I paid $3) nor once to see how I was enjoying myself. I will not return to Cheeburger Cheeburger. If I want a fast, tasty burger and still pay under $20 for an entire meal, I'll go to 5 Guys.

Burger was pretty good. On the smaller side. So many toppings to chose from. The fries were really the best part of the meal. I recommend going at lunch. Under $8.00 for a burger, fries, and a soda. Waitress was great.

I wish I could give this three stars, because I like the concept. The variety of toppings that you can get with your burger and the shakes would make it high on my list of places to hit for lunch. We usually get a "best of both" basket with fries and onion rings, which comes with a variety of dipping sauces. Unfortunately, the service at this location is hit or miss, and most often miss. The burgers are good when you can get them done right.

I want to like this place so badly. I like burgers. I like cheesy 50's inspired décor. I especially like soda and milkshakes. So why does this place fall flat? It started off bad when we received pretty spotty service. It wasn't exactly our waitress's fault since there were only two people serving the entire restaurant, but we waited forever just to put a drink order in. I glanced over the menu only to not really be interested in much on it. I was especially disheartened that they don't offer fried eggs as a topping because that is my personal holy grail of good burgers. I don't often have cheeseburgers, but when I do, I like to pack the protein on. I asked for my burger medium well. What I received was a well done burger. After I took a bite I asked my table mate if I had indeed ordered what I thought I did and they informed me I was not crazy. I ate the rest of it, but it really didn't hit the spot for me. It was just an average burger, something I could've cooked at home even (except mine would be better, since it would include an egg on top and be medium well). There are some good things though. Their in house mixed sodas are tasty. The car cut out plate they use for kid's meals is very cute. Their fries are good too. However, due to their lackluster food and poor service I can't rate them that highly.

We went here after spending the day at Sesame Place. The food was great, fries and onion rings were delicious and my burger was cooked perfect. Everyone in my push was pleasantly surprised by how good the food was.

I had one of the most phenomenal veggoe burgers of my life here. Everything was cooked to perfection and absolutely delicious. We got the loaded fries as a starter and they were wonderful too. All of the service staff was attentive and friendly. We will definitely be back again soon!

This Cheeburger Cheeburger franchise is right across the street from Red Robin, so there is a natural choice to make when making a burger run. If you want a beer with that, than RR is your only option. If great shakes are a priority, Chee Chee is the better way to go. Here, the ambiance is all ersatz 1950's diner-esqueness. Very similar to Nifty Fifty, Johnnie Rocket's, Jake's Wayback, and the like. I forgive them the weak attempt at historical orientation, as the actual product is pretty good. The burgers and fries are fresh, not frozen at the start, and the end result is a decent (not great) burger experience. Compared to 5 Guys, it falls a little short in the taste department (not enough tasty grease), but it compensates with more menu variety (chicken, salads), and additional treats to put on the burger (banana chilies, shrooms, pickles, etc.). The shakes are very good, and they will add malt powder for no additional charge if asked. Really, creamy and tasty. Bottom line - Worth the trip and money when you want a good nostalgia burger.

My first time at Chee & I loved my wrap! I got the veggie burger on my wrap and it was delicious. I also had the blueberry iced tea which was really delicious and some sweet potato fires. I loved the food and my boyfriend did as well. However, the service kinda sucked. We didn't get our fries with our meal & had to ask for them, didn't get the sauce with the fries and didn't get our drinks refilled when the girl came over to ask us if we wanted a refill. I can't even blame the workers because there was only two waitresses! When we walked in, there were at least 6 other tables and 3 of those tables had 5 or more guests. So like I said, I don't blame the girls for the service. They're understaffed. But very friendly and not rude which is a definite plus. We will be back! =)

After a long arduous haul from NYC to Langhorne, and a weary but fun-filled afternoon with my family at Sesame Place, there was nothing better for dinner than feasting on one of many fast food chains that are only readily available in PA. Parking was not to hard to find and my family and I entered the restaurant. For starters, already frustrated from the stressful day I was having, the hostess made us wait a very, VERY long time to get seated. Keep in mind that it was a Wednesday night, in the middle of nowhere Pennsylvania. They might have been short-staffed, so I let it slide. The hostess was very rude and didn't even look like she cared about being there. Despite her disgusting attitude, I still waited because we were all starving. My blood pressure shot through the roof when two parties that entered WAY after us, were immediately seated. Not only were they given priority seating but shortly after we were dragged to our table, their order was also placed before us as well. I don't know if it was because we were the only minority family present in the restaurant but the staff here was simple despicable. We waited over 20 minutes and not even water was brought to the table. At this point, I couldn't even bear to stay here any longer even though my entire family was practically starving, I took my belongings, gathered everyone and left. Not a word was uttered, and no one asked why we were even leaving. They didn't even seem to care and quite frankly, I really didn't either. Having been in the customer service industry for over 15 years, it's shameful at the ignorance which my family and I were subjected to at Cheeburger, Cheeburger. Forget about me but I felt even more sorry for the kids, which after a long day at Sesame Place, were so hungry and just wanted something to eat. Stopping here to have dinner, WORST DECISION EVER, especially if you're of colored skin. It was truly a shame to have this experience in this day and age and I'll probably NEVER enter anyone of their chains again for fear of receiving the same treatment.

Gave this place a 2nd chance and was equally disappointed this time around... service is pathetic. I ordered three toppings on my burger - it came to the table with ZERO toppings. They couldnt even get a simple order right. Definitely not returning to this location ever again! Thank goodness there is another one in NJ that is much much much better!

I placed a pick-up order last Friday night for (1) shake, (1) patty melt & (1) order of fries...$21 later...?!?! $21?! For one person?! First of all they gave me a "bucket-O-fries" & when I questioned the manager, Kim, the nasty staff told me that they only offered ONE SIZE fries...Really?! When I told Kim that I intended to go home & call corporate & let them know how disrespectful & nasty her & her staff were, she didn't really seem to care. Then it dawned on me, she's probably an "Owner/Operator" as Cheeburger, Cheeburger is a franchise! That's okay, Kim, I decided to hit all my "go to" social media sites & in the future my money will be better spent & more appreciated at the RED ROBIN located directly ACROSS the street from your establishment! Their burgers are better anyway!! Steer clear of this joint!!

OVERVIEW: A burger and milkshake joint with a sort-of-50s vibe to it. It specializes in letting you customize your burger regarding patty size and toppings, with a huge list of possibilities to choose from, along with many milkshake options. They also have salads, sandwiches and some special sodas. MY MEAL: I had a Serious Burger (1/2 pound) with lots of toppings (best part, free topping of 2 onion rings!) for $7.50, with a lunch special of $1 fries (dipping sauces for another $1). Loved the burger, well made and enjoyed having ability to make my own, and the fries are cooked in PEANUT OIL (the best, but watch out for allergies). I also had homemade Cherry Cola, replenished quickly by an on-the-ball wait staff. Furthermore, I had an order of Frickles, very thin, decent but not the best Ive had. Finally, I finished off with a Blackberry Cobbler Milkshake, which was phenomenal. VALUE: All of these things together set me back over $15, but much cheaper if all you want is a burger. I found it to certainly be worth the money, although if you bring the kids be prepared for them to up the price by demanding a milkshake and cola. Best deals at lunch, and smallest burgers not too pricey. Also, they have cards that give you a free burger after 6 burgers, and it counts each burger not check, so an OUTSTANDING value there. Bring your friends, use their burgers to get you a free one in future! VARIETY/OPTIONS: Only come here if you want burgers and/or milkshakes. If you have a vegetarian, they have veggie burgers (also salmon and turkey) as well as salads with similar options. A specialty restaurant, if you want variety go elsewhere. ATMOSPHERE: Very friendly to be sure, clean and bright. It sort of goes for a 50s feel, but has stuff from40s and 60s, sort of half-hearted attempt really. Wait staff doesnt dress up or anything, no jukebox, go to Nifty 50s or Johnny Rockets if that 50s feel is what youre looking for. Trivial Pursuit cards to play with at the tables are SUPER OLD, only useful if youre with your grandparents or history buffs. VERDICT: Great options for burgers and shakes make this place a nice, cheaper challenger to Red Robin (though Id still probably pick them on burgers alone). Great taste, great value and great service only slightly hurt by mediocre atmosphere. If you like burgers, this place is a must try.

Goofiest name I've ever heard of for a burger haven, but wow do they do the business! Then again Five Guys and In and Out aren't the most brilliant names for hamburger happiness either. Five Guys, In and Out sounds like an orgy about to happen. I did not say that! But where does Cheeburger fit in, well I'm about to tell you... Unlike Five Guys, it's not all about the burger because you can get chicken sandwiches here either grilled or fried and like the burger they have a zillion ways to top it. You can also get a list of great salads to serve as your meal and they offer a turkey burger. They do have the grilled cheese like Five Guys has, but they do not have the hot dog. Five Guys offers all of it's toppings free except for cheese and bacon, Cheeburger charges for quite a few toppings like sauteed onions, mushrooms, dipping sauces, cheese and bacon. Free peanuts at Five Guys, but Cheeburger has milk shakes and malts galore and sodas mixed table side, they also have numerous flavored iced teas and lemonades. Come to think of it, it is like walking into an old fashioned soda fountain with the metal tables and chairs. The posters on the wall and the linoleum floor tiles are reminiscent to the 50's style as well. Cheeburger's also offers healthier selections like CheeWraps, veggie burgers or portabella salads or sandwiches. I love that Cheeburger offers a patty melt, which I adore and they make their own rye bread to do this. Now their sandwich is served on two huge slices of round rye bread. I see you picturing it, double the size of those slices of bread! This is like getting two patty melts, no seeds and it would take the biggest of eaters to finish it, especially when ordering fries or onion rings along side it. They have a variety of hamburger patty sizes, all fresh ground black Angus, from a 20 ounce burger to a 5.5 ounce burger and several in between. Hubby had two burgers and I am not even sure what size he chose, but my eyes said wow, you ordered two burgers when they arrived and he said yep. He ate them both and he loved them. The house cut fresh fries are awesome, actually crisp for a fresh cut fry and perfectly salted, but their onion rings are the bomb, tempura fried and crunchy! They offer a variety of dipping sauces like cheddar cheese, creamy jalapeno, zesty horseradish, sweet pepper and vegetable but you do pay for these, if you love them enough they also sell them by the bottle to take home. If you are torn between the fries and the onion rings you can order a basket which has both. So build your own salad, burger or wrap, it's a smart concept, but still a goofy name. More to offer than Five Guys and it is attended with servers, unlike Five Guys. Bottom line for hubby, he likes Cheeburger more, bottom line for me Five Guys is still the winner. There is something to say for juicy greasy burgers dripping down your arms. All sandwiches are served with a speared olive, don't tease me like that, then I want a dirty martini and no booze is served here. 3.5 stars.

Are you serious? $13 for a burger, medium fry, and a fountain drink... OK, you better WOW me... unfortunately the WOW never happened. I will echo the other reviews regarding staff... a bunch of kids who seem to have thoughts elsewhere other than worrying about your order.. Ok, I can let that slide... I know how vital it is to get back to an important text thread. The burger was... small.. way more (stale) bread than meat. Yes, the roll was stale, as if it had been left out overnight. I got the Semi-Serious burger, supposed to be 1/3 lb... hardly... was quite un-serious... I'll leave this place and their low value burgers to the Sesame Crowd and their shiny credit cards, willing to pay any price for a morsel of food... good luck!

Yea, that's right, I'm reviewing Cheeburger, Cheeburger. But not all locations, just this one, 'cause it's the best one. Their burgers are so juicy, it runs down your hand while you're eating 'em. And they serve your burger in a basket, with any and all the fixins you want. Fries? Onion rings? Flavored sodas and milkshakes? Cheeburgers got 'em. Yea, I know it's a chain, or a franchise (what's the difference?) but this location serves up better burgers than a lot of restaurants I've been to. Check it out.

The food itself is very good; I enjoy the huge range of toppings that you can get. The problem is the service, which is given by dull-witted, sullen teenagers who are obviously annoyed by your presence. They're also very slow, which means when they get crowded that you can wait 30-45 minutes for your burger and fries. You're much better off going when it's empty, during the off-peak hours. Recommended if you can deal with the poor service. If not, try Red Robin.

A family member is a big fan. I've been here maybe three times, and I can say with confidence if you're in the area looking for a good burger to satisfy your needs, Cheeburger will deliever. Even as a vegetarian I found a nice portobello burger, or a veggie burger. The fries are food and so are the onion rings. Service was a little slow, but hey, it's a diner type place so expect diner type service. I'm not really into sweet things, but I expect if you are Cheeburger won't disappoint given their very large selection of sodas? I think it was ? Either way, good place.

You like burgers, right? You like toppings? Choices? Good fries? Not fast food fries, I'm talking about GOOD fries. 5 guys type of thing, I mean. You need Cheeburger Langhorne. Good service, friendly faces, good times. They do it like no one else. Good for everyone, even vegetarians. Delicious stuff, and lots of fun.
