Pizza
Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.
Italian Cuisine
The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.
Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.
If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

The pizza here is truly amazing! I live absolutely nowhere near here but whenever I'm in the area I must stop for some margarita pie! The sauce is slightly sweet and the basil/parm/mozz combo is on point. Another fantastic dish is the penne vodka. It's unfortunately hard to find a great vodka sauce this day in age but Aldo's does it! It's the perfect combination of sweet tomato and cheese flavor. Yummy! I wish they'd deliver and also wish their prices weren't so steep. $15 for a pie is kind of nuts.

Aldo's is my favorite, local Italian restaurant. Their Pizza is fantastic as well as their other dishes. Some of the meals that my friends and family love to order over and over again are their chicken parmigiana, any style of pizza, fettuccine alfredo and eggplant parmigiana. There are two parts to their restaurant. There's a pizza shop half that has some benches to sit at if you choose to grab a pie and fries and they also have a relatively new sit-down restaurant half. The actual restaurant half is very nice and cozy. Dress is casual during the day and dressier at night. They do not serve alcohol, although it is BYOB. I hIghly recommend Aldo's.

I was working in the area and decided to stop in for lunch. I'm glad I did the pizza was very good.

Thirty years ago when I first moved to Bucks County from Trenton, Aldo's was only All Star Pizza in the Village Shires Shopping Center. A generation later it has expanded into a nice size full fledged Italian restaurant named after its founder. This all happened gradually, and it seemed to reflect the overall growth of this area. Farms began to grow suburban housing developments. Those new folks needed local places to eat. Etc. The dinners were good, and we could walk there from home. Stopped in for lunch the other day with my bud, Phil. I guess I was in a rediscovery mood, as I had just visited Not Just Wings in the same center the weekend before. We opted for a couple of plain slices for Phil, and an Eggplant Parmiagana Sandwich on a torpedo roll for me. Phil knows from pizza (tomato pie) as he is from the Burg in Trenton. I watched him hold each slice up to test their rigidity, and satisfied, devour them. He smiled and said they were very good, but not like Papa used to make, or even his uncles DeLorenzo. The Parm was large, crusty and sealed in melted Mozza. It, too, was decent, especially the toasted roll which was a joy to eat. The Eggplant itself was cut into long, thick pieces, and were still a bit firm to the bite. I prefer them to be completely soft from being sautéed in light breading and olive oil before being torched in the pizza oven. The Sauce was ok, but lacked a distinctive flavor. I go for Eggplant Parm Sandys often, and this one passed the acceptable test, but did not stand out. I would not rush back to have it again. I may return for dinner in the near future, as they still evoke fond memories. When I do, I will update this review. But, for now, Aldo's for lunch is simply Okay. However, I may take a cue from Phil and stick with slices.

I'm waiting for my pizza now. I ordered 15 seconds ago but I want it now D: I used to live in village shires and Aldos was the go-to place for pizza. I haven't had it in a while, but I remember it being the best in the area for traditional Philadelphia style. Support your local businesses and always pick places like this over pizza hut or dominos!
(5)Lesa B.
Cheestakes are okay. Not as good as A real Philly steak. Pizza not the best around but will do
(3)Nicholas T.
This place is horrible!!!!! It was my first time here with my dad. He got veil chop and I got veil parm. The chop was tough, dry, and didn't taste like what veil chop should taste like. My veil parm was horrible. The meat was so tough. I had to use most of my strength to cut it. It took me 30 seconds to chew on a small piece of veil. I didn't even chew the veil fully before I ate it! I was just tired of chewing, so I swallowed. Their ziti was not anything like ziti, it was also chewy. It took three quarters of an hour to get 2 entrées out! The soup and bread were mediocre. And we never got a refill on our water once! Also, the cheek took ten minutes to get to us! The place wasn't even that full! I am never coming here again!
(1)Marc T.
Great food, reasonably priced. Still love the pizza. Never had a bad meal there.
(4)Ben H.
Love their pizza ad their mussels. Every dish tastes fantastic. Family owned and operated. I have dinner here at least once a week and I am never disappointed.
(4)Joey R.
High quality pizza, warm dining room, and fast service. Can't say too much bad about this place except that the pizza can be occasionally greasy, depending on the day.
(4)Glenn G.
Great food , great owners , great place . They restaurant with the original owners has been consistently great for over 25 years . Avoid going downtown
(5)Gregory D.
Lived in Holland for a year now and Aldos is our go to pizza spot. Decently priced and fresh ingredients. TMNT approved
(5)Craig L.
Thank god for aldos.. It is a local favorite. The pizza is delicious. The pasta is also fantastic. If anything negative could be said... It is that the prices are a touch high but honestly it is worth it. 5 stars earned via consistency
(5)William D.
I'm from Trenton NJ so I would call myself a Pizza enthusiast. I have tried the Quattro Formaggi and it is great however tonight I tried the Veal Parm Sandwich and it is sinfully good. The Bread is Pizza dough bread and the Veal and cheese to sauce ratio was perfect I literally just finished it and had to write a review based on that. This and the other Pizza place that starts with a N are both top notch. Coming from a guy who grew up with delorenzo's and papa's pizza his whole life.
(5)Phil C.
My first time there to meet a friend for lunch. Pizza slices were very good - thin - cook well enough to hold out straight. Just like my home town pizza in Trenton.
(4)Kimberly G.
Just ok. The portions are big and the food is mediocre. The fried calamari appetizer was great and so was the marinara sauce. I ordered the chicken piccata and that was tasty, but the side of pasta was gross. The pasta was way over salted. I couldn't taste anything but salt. I'll be back but I won't be ordering pasta.
(3)Jim S.
We've been going to Aldo's since we moved into the area 15 years ago and have ordered take-out many times but have never eaten there. The pizza is our favorite in the area and the steak sandwiches are also very good. French fries are nice, crispy and light. We've never had a bad meal. The service has been routinely good. They always have several young people, who are probably high school age, working behind the counter and unlike several places that have people the same age working there, the employees at Aldo's are always cheerful and very pleasant.
(5)Teresa L.
I feel like Aldo's has been around for as long as I've been alive. I grew up with this restaurant being the classic pizza joint in the neighborhood. I had many High School lunches with my friends here, so this place holds a special place in my heart. Pizza Hut recently opened in Summit Square, so you could probably get cheaper pizza from there. However Aldo's is less commercial with a bit more Italian lovin'.
(4)Kathleen H.
THEE BEST PIZZA IN THE COUNTY! Has been my favorite all my life. You know it's good when their plain cheese pizza is phenomenal. Also, a cozy romantic dine-in restaurant is located here. Again, food is phenomenal. BYOB.
(5)Whitney A.
We've been dining in much more frequently over the last year or so. The service has always been excellent, as has the food. They always give a little complimentary appetizer that goes well with their bread (tapenade, bean salad, etc.), which is a really nice touch. Sorrento chicken is outstanding and so is the linguine carbonara (both rich, but really good). I love the house salad dressing - very garlicky- and they make a great marinara. Overall, it's a very enjoyable dining experience.
(5)Harold G.
My favorite Italian restaurant in the entire Philadelphia area..with delicious warm home-baked bread and gratuitous appetizer, delicious red sauce for pasta dishes, excellent pricing on all entrees, and outstanding veal dishes (the Veal Sorrento is my perennial favorite!). A surpising find disguised behind a pizza parlor!
(5)Michael K.
One of the best places in the region for an authentic Italian meal that is actually better than Mom use to make. If you want a good quality meal this is the place to go.
(4)Mike B.
Awesome pizza and steaks.
(5)Jim Z.
I have been to this restaurant several times in the past but, with my last experience I will not return. My girlfriend and I went to have dinner and we waited an hour and 20 minutes with no entrée being served. We had to leave due to her son arriving at the airport early and asked to see the manager, when the manager arrives we explained we were there for an hour and 20 minutes without being served our entrée and pointed out the table next to us which arrived after us and was finishing their dinner. The manager stated that I was wrong and they arrived before us, the people at the table corrected the manager and advised her we were there when they arrived. The manager then went on to justify the service by telling us that they weren't McDonald's and make their food to order she stated our dinner was delayed because we ordered an appetizer. I failed understand how when taking a complaint she can justify the poor service and basically call me a liar when I told her the table next to us came in later until she was corrected by the table. I was more upset with the behavior of the manager than waiting an hour and 20 minutes without being served. But they both set the tone for my bad experience.
(1)Kelly C.
You wouldn't expect such a nice dining area in a shopping center pizza shop.. I really enjoy a sit down dinner here. Quiet, pleasant atmosphere, generous portions and delicious food ! Couldn't give a 5 star review though because I have found pizza shop staff and hostesses to be consistently "snotty" and often uninterested to serve. Sorry ladies!
(4)Lauren H.
I've been going to Aldos since I was about 5 years old (and it was called All Star Pizza!). It's my favorite Italian place in Bucks County. The food has never let me down and the people there are always friendly. They have pizza and cheesesteaks and sandwiches available. Their pizza is consistently good. I used to never order their chicken cheesesteaks because it had big chunks of chicken instead of shredded chicken, but they have changed this and now their chicken cheesesteaks are my favorite. They have a casual pizza cafe as well as a fancy dining room. They offer everything from pizza and cheesesteaks to full entrees that are amazing. One of my favories is the Sachetti pasta - little pockets of pasta and cheese in a white sauce with crab meat, scallops and shrimp. Their chicken sorrento, ziti vidka, and chicken marsala are also delicious. My family has also done some catered events, both in the restaurant and at home using Aldos food. Ask for their catering menu - it's wonderful for big occasions.
(5)C L.
Just moved into the area, pizza is really delicious. Only done take out so far, can't wait to eat in and try other menu items. Only drawback is no delivery.
(4)Behnoush R.
Aldo's has awesome pizza! It was our first time in the area. We drove here for a soccer tournament. My boy's are picky eaters and they loved the pizza. They finished a large pizza amongst the two of them! The ambiance is very nice with Italian music playing and it's clean and the staff is friendly! What a great find!
(5)Donna S.
I consider myself a connoisseur of pizza having traveled far and wide looking for the best pizzeria. How funny that one of the best places is within walking distance of my house! It's true, Aldo's has one of the greatest pizzas I have ever tasted. It's the Brooklyn-Style square pizza. It has a plum tomato sauce and mozzarella. Oh my gosh it is addictive. They also make a mean Stromboli Combo! This is basically a pizza with everything folded over on itself: Sausage, Mushrooms, Peppers, Pepperoni! Amazing!
(3)Adam M.
I like thier Cheesesteaks, but thats about it. Sometimes the pizza is ok, but it is a gamble. To be honest the worst part about Aldo's is they dont care about thier customers. Its one of those places where all you see is smiles, but the second you turn around they are laughing at you. The only reason they are still open is because they are the only place that is close. I really hope they do turn the business around, but I am not holding my breath.
(2)Alan R.
Much more than pizza...a great Italian restaurant/byob. Never disappointed.
(5)Danielle A.
Great food, service and atmosphere! My husband and I eat here or get take out at least once a week. We have also had groups of 20+ there and they are fantastic. They will help you organize any kind of event/group. We hosted 20 coworkers last night for a dinner and I was told it was the best event we had!
(5)Laviza S.
This is our go to pizza place in Holland. fairly reliable pizza and other American italian dishes. have never eaten in their dining room.
(4)Eagle66bud J.
This place is way overpriced. It used to be really good I think that was when it was run by the previous owners. I don't like reheated slices that's a big problem for me I like fresh pizza.
(2)L.M. Z.
I'm adding another star because we finally tried the pizza here. It was great. Nice dough, perfect sauce & cheese. We also tried the buffalo chicken salad. Excellent!
