My wife and I went to Fabio's on my birthday (July 17th) at the recommendation of a few of my co-workers. We found the food to be very good and the prices to be reasonable. We started off with the Mozzarella sticks as an appetizer along with garlic bread, which came with my meal. I also had a Caesar salad. Her entree consisted of a small white pizza and mine was their veal parmesan with pasta (I had linguine). Both were very good. Between the appetizer and garlic bread, we were not able to finish our meals. They waitress gladly offered up boxes for my meal, my wife's leftover pizza and the remaining garlic bread (along with the two pieces of tiramasu we got to take home). We enjoyed the food and the service. The wait staff was attentive and friendly. We definitely plan on going back again and taking relatives/friends.

Beautiful place with stone walls and wood beams. Great food, we shared a small pizza as an appetizer and it was very good. Great home made mac and cheese for one grandson. Great chicken parmesan sub and salad for me. My daughter had chicken cheese steak sub, Chicken tenders were great for older grandson, loved them. Large portion of good fries too. We had a really nice dining experience there.

Our waiter was great with service and joke full. I had the regular Strom bolivar the taste is Greta and the value for your money is worth it. Especially if you order the large size. My girl had the steak n cheese supreme which I took a bite. That was also good as well as some fries and mozzarella fries. Greta spot for out of towners. Up here from DC visiting Hershey Park.

Delicious pizza - the crust is tasty and crisp. The service was very friendly and helpful. The kids Mac and cheese is homemade and my kiddos ate it up like I hadn't fed them in days. Decor is cute, too!

We frequent Fabio's. We go at least once a month, if not more. Pizza is very good and the subs are good too. That is usually what I get. I have also had their salads and they are always tasty as well! The inside is lovely also. Very relaxing atmosphere and I never feel rushed. The waitresses are always nice! The location is very convenient. It is always clean when I am there.

Fabio's was quite a surprise considering it's location. The food was good, honestly better than I could have ever hoped for, and the kitschy, restored barn atmosphere lends to the charm. Service was fast, friendly and attentive. Basic, affordable and pretty good. No reason I wouldn't pop back in for a bite if I'm in the area again.

Food: no big complaints. My wife had the Mediterranean Salad w/ Chicken. I had an original calzone. I got a large just for me. Huge. Two people or three could split it so wouldn't get that size again. My wife said her salad was pretty good, but the chicken was a bit over cooked. We split the appetizer sampler which was a bit different, but fine. Included motz sticks, fried cauliflower, zucchini, mushrooms, onion rings and chicken fingers. Service: good, polite, good with kids. Atmosphere: I liked it. Lots of wood and exposed stone/brick. Rustic. Soft lighting. I might go back if in the area. It was fine.

The decor seems to fit more of a steakhouse than an Italian restrauant with its exposed timbers. Was seated but seemed to take a bit for waitress to come over. It appeared there were quite a few staff but only one waitress. Started off with a caeser salad. Dressing servered in takeout containers with covers on. The croutons were hard as a rock thought I might break a tooth. Ordererd the Tortellini with prosciutto. The portition was large but sauce was more on the watery side than thick. You also got nice hot garlic bread with my salad. It was fresh but think could have bee a bit heavier on garlic and butter. Overall for the price and quantity meal was good.

Ambiance - stone walls & wood timbers. Comfortable. Decor - hodge podge - horses & covered wagon - plump chef - large picture of Italian village in mountain valley. Portions vs. price = Excellent. Taste - Great. Service - nice & polite. Speed - Good. Cost was reasonable (plus we got to keep the left over garlic bread which tasted awesome!) I had the Special Boli, the wife had Fried chicken salad and we loved it all. We'll stop back for dinner sometime.

Don't bother! Plenty of tourists and overpriced, ok food. Wife of owner very unpleasant when asked any questions about dishes, etc Great busboys and we were lucky to be switched from owner's wife to a great, pleasant waitress. Love small, family-run businesses, but won't return to this one.

went here for the first time and liked it. Pasta was perfectly Al Dente, decent prices and decent portion. I could have eaten more and left a bit hungry but I was just extra hungry that night. Nice selection and simple Italian recipes, not too complicated, just good rustic Italian food in a nice rustic setting. There was a slight hiccup in service and the server was kind enough to offer a complimentary dessert so all in all a very nice experience.

I couldn't be more pleased! This one came to me by "word of mouth", which are always risky. I tried 2 other places that everyone said were "great!" and I didn't care for them. My wife, friend & I have been here at least 7 times now. It is among our favorites in the Central PA area! Pros: + Great price (really!) + Very nice wait staff (don't let tattoos bother you) + Innovative building (lower level of a renovated 'barn') + Drive-able (from Hershey area) + Almost all food is a hit + Price (did I mention the price?) + Portions are huge (One of the only places where I come home with leftovers) + House salad dressing, Garlic bread are surprisingly good Cons: - Gets very busy on the weekends and summer evenings - Flies! (Summertime, the flies buzz around) - Ambient Temperature (Often too hot or cold-- the open barn area makes it difficult to keep an even temp) - Walls are lit up with lights. Looks great! But, sitting in a booth near the lights can be a bit blinding. (Lights shine upward from 2-3 feet off the ground) FYI: Current menus list "Pepsi" products, but they changed to "Coke' in the last year or so. (Good for me... now I can get Gold Peak Green Tea) This is one of the few places that we always say "Yes" to when someone asks "Want to go to Fabios?" It isn't like a Red Lobster, McDonalds, Perkins, or other place where you are disgusted if you've had it in the past month. Fabio's is always a "Sure!" The other "problem" is that the food is just great. We spend more time deciding if we should "try something new", or to pick from the large list of items we already know are "good". PS: Some meals are just enormous. As another reviewer (Amy G.) here has mentioned, the Tuna salad (tuna on greens, peppers, etc) is a monster! We really like it. We hope they expand (upstairs of the barn, maybe?) to accommodate the huge crowds in the summer. I almost hate to write this review, because I don't want anyone to know our "secret" ;)

Average on every level except decor. The interior is very nice. However, I would rather sub-par decor and better food. Pizza was blah. Falls right into the category of pizza I'll never remember. Wings were cooked well, but sauce was standard issue. However, I will mention that the prices were very average too.

Ordered Soup of the Day (French Onion Soup) and a chicken Parmesan sub. Both were pedestrian at best.

Sometimes the service and food is really Great but then it's like they change who's in the kitchen consistency just isn't there.

Fabio's is a Gem in the rough. The pasta sauce and salad dressing are homemade, the service friendly and the portions are HUGE and inexpensive. Overall a wonderful experience was had at Fabio's. I feel my only complaint was the fact that they don't have a liquor license but we brought our own bottle of wine and they provided a bottle opener AND wine glasses. A must visit...

I like pizza but I'm not insane about it. I came here with few members of my belly dance troupe because we were performing in the general vicinity and we thought we'd grad a quick bite to eat at lunch time on a Saturday. The place was almost empty, the service was good, but it took a long time for the food to come out. We were almost out of time once the food arrived. The space is big and comfortable. I ordered a tuna salad salad and requested that the cheese (grated mozzarella) be swapped with some feta. Now, if you're like me, you've done things like that in the past and one of two things happens. One, you're charged a huge up-charge that they conveniently forgot to mention to you and you pay $3 for a few crumbles of feta. Two, they swap out the cheese but give you only about 1/2 a teaspoon. NOT SO at Fabio's. They swapped the cheese, have me a hefty portion, and didn't charge me anything for the change. The salad was HUGE. With a gigantic scoop of tuna salad and lots of veggies. All for $7.00 - not a bad price. I was afraid that the salad would be small or that there would be very little tuna salad (and I'm a protein type of girl). So, I ordered a single slice of cheese pizza on the side. The slice was also HUGE. The slice would have been enough for my meal. In fact, I at the slice first because it was hot and looked really good. I was not disappointed. The crust wasn't too thick and the sauce was good. All for $1.35. The next time I'm sticking to the slices. I ended up picking at my salad because I was pretty stuffed and I took the rest with me. The salad was enough for two people - seriously - unless you are a huge eater. I wonder if they offer half-size salads? that would be a great option. So, 2 stars for service. 5 stars for portion size. 3.5 for food - everything looked good and there were about 8 of us at the table. Prices were decent. Pretty typical for central PA. They have pizza (hand tossed thin and thick deep dish), stromboli, calzones, cold subs/grinders, hot subs, wraps, appetizers, sides (seem expensive but I wonder how big they are), salads, and traditional Italian entrees (spaghetti, fet. alfredo, tortellini, baked ziti, manicotti, ravioli, etc.). They also have burgers. There's a kid's menu with everything costing $4.25 - but I don't know what that includes. If I'm in the area, I'll stop in but I wouldn't make a special trip.

I had my first experience here last Saturday. They are a small restaurant and don't accept reservations so we waited about 20 minutes for a table. The restaurant was very quaint and romantic with rustic wood beams overhead and stone walls and a fireplace. Definately not a chain. Our waitress was very friendly and was happy to explain the menu and dining experience. Garlic bread was crispy and hot and there was a lot of food. Homemade salad dressing was great and the sauce definately made us feel welcome. I had the veal parmasan and my boyfriend had the stuffed shrimp - his came with two sides and he got spagetti and meatballs, enough for another meal! We can't wait to go back and try the pizza!

Ok so I'm here at Fabio's and strike one no liquor license but they do have a BYOB license. That's actually better if you planned ahead because you spend about 75% on wine. But I'm from out of town so... I was seated by these annoying lights. Cool effect on the wall annoying to look down on, strike two. I'm going to ask to move! Oh and very dirty at the moment in the service area, strike three!!! Ok so I'm here at Fabio's and strike one no liquor license but they do have a BYOB license. BTW, my table I was moved to is sticky so not washed properly. My food is not here yet but I'm feeling a bit like Gordon Ramsay in the first five minutes of Kitchen Nightmares! The Pizza is here and it looks a bit greasy. The taste is not great nor bad, good news is that the pizza was over 190 degrees so I'm not likely to be sick. Honestly u would not come back here, the pizza is just so so. Maybe the other items on the menu are better. Just tasted the pizza cold and it was much worse. Pizza made fresh will taste at least as good cold. I had them box it up though so I might eat it later in a drunken stupor, ROFL! The place is fairly busy and seems family run. That's normally a good sign. Decorating is not bad but very confused. I bet they remodeled within the last 10 years but it looks like late 80s decor. The draft shifted here and the smell of death is in the air. Trust me when I say the smell of death, I deployed to Afghanistan so I know the smell.

It was awful. The Chicken Francese was overcooked, tasteless chicken swimming in a lemon soup. It was so overpowering that I couldn't taste anything else nor could I eat anything else. The garlic bread was sliced up hogie rolls with garlic salt. The pasta sauce had no seasoning and tasted like straight crushed tomatoes from a can. I wasn't going to complain because it was late and we were tired and traveling, but when she asked why I didn't eat it and wasn't taking it home, and I told her it was not good, she became very snotty acting and went back and yelled my complaint at the chef who began yelling back. Not good PR if you ask me. All but one of the four meals were tasteless and not worth the money. We will not be back if we are traveling through the area again. She took my dish off the bill but had such a bad attitude that even if the rest of the meals were fabtastic, we still would not come back.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
