This is specifically for the bakery of the weis market in Bloomsburg. My grandma lives in B-town, (i call california home) so wandering around in the middle of the night entails trips to weis (if im not in a walmart mood). Now, coming from a suburb of San Francisco, i already feel a little jaded on small wonders. However, all that was gone once i saw the bakery at weis. these people are true artists. dogs, aliens, hamburgers, dinosaurs! even a nascar cake with a little car and a track! DOES IT REALLY EXSIST?! um, yes it does. and it is glorious. i dont understand how people can sit there, think of these magical cakes, and then execute them so perfectly and how people can just walk by and not appreciate them. i stood in front of the cake display for way too long (if you were one of the people staring at me, i dont care. it was worth it.) and was in shock. i laughed, i (almost) cried, i LIVED. this is just beautiful. it's art. i'm uploading some of the pictures i got of these majestic pieces. sadly, i was afraid they wouldn't last well on the six hour plane ride back to the bay, but i'll always remember them. until next time we meet, my beautiful cakey friends...
