Classic barbecue joint - housed in what looks like a former butcher's shop is the best BBQ I've had in the longest time. The smokiness of the meat shows how much love and care went into the prep. So rich and moist. Delightfully delicious and sooooo good. Sides are highly recommended - Mac and cheese and potato salad stood out, as did the red cabbage slaw. Do not miss the pickled ocra! Owners are super nice and it translates to their food. Decor is festooned with various awards - each and every one well-earned.

I came here after a friend recommended it . I was skeptical at first because of the location (Poconos). Well I stand corrected, this place has the best ribs I have ever ate in the Poconos. I recommended you get a three meat combo and then choose your best. I ordered ribs, brisket and chicken. I did not like one, I loved all three. My only regret is not listening to my friend earlier... You have just earned a new customer....good luck

It's tough to find good Bar-B-Que here in PA. So when I drove past the restaurant and saw the owner, Kim, cooking at wood the smoker, I thought why not give it a try. I can tell you the pulled pork sandwich I ate was one of the best I've had. Then you add the Carolina style sauce and this is an amazing sandwich. You could see the smoke rings on the meat, the portions and huge, and the sandwich was served on a nice Kaiser roll. The potato salad was great as well. I will be going back often.

Service was okay, not that friendly but not rude considering we were the only ones there at lunchtime. The pit beef meal was okay. The beef was sliced, not pulled like I was expecting, and tasted like a roast beef sandwich I could get anywhere decent. The mac & cheese side was delicious, as was the green beans and bacon. My friend had the pulled pork meal & said without the bbq sauce t would've been bland. No restrooms at all for paying customers even. A bit of a let down.

This place is def the best BBQ place around. It's a pick up kind of place but you should go! The brisket is awesome. We even had them cater our wedding and everyone went on and on about how great it was:)!

Holy mother of... Wings! Literally the best wings we've ever had. Brisket, pulled pork and turkey are outrageously awesome... but the wings are mind- blowing. This place is impossibly awesome. These people seriously put a lot of effort and care into their food and it shows.

SOOOOOOOOOOOOOEY!! All BBQ lovers, come one and come all. I frequent this place whenever I drive to Bangor for work. Kim and Rich make the best BBQ in the state, forget the region. The best brisket comes from here. Everything that comes out of that smoker is dynamite. It is how BBQ should be done. Take a lesson Grumpy's. Just because they win competitions doesn't mean their food should be good. But, its a knockout and its consistent. People complain about their prices but if food comes out like that, I will pay what its worth and its gold. Even their sides are delicious. I recommend the baked beans, potato salad and five bean salad. I am surprised there are people who are negative on here. I don't know what they are tasting. A MUST EXPERIENCE!

Went yesterday & was expecting more. I had a pit beef sammich, was a bit dry, even after loading on horseradish. Son & friend had ribs, both thought it was good, I tasted both, seemed OK. I also had chicken/sausage gumbo, this was very good. It seemed the food wasn't fresh and may have been made day before. I got the pumpkin rice pudding to go and ate it later, sadly wasn't that good, seemed dry & not creamy enough. Again I suspect that it was old. Probably will go again, but probably only get what was prepared that day.

Very disappointing. Went there ready to bite into some nice Brisket and Ribs out of the smoker, and found out that the meat came out of the cooler. Decided to try it because i was hungry, and it was extremely dry. Won't be returning.

Some of the best BBQ I've ever had. I think I've had everything on the menu now. I love the baby back ribs, but my favorite is the pulled pork. I usually order a pulled pork sandwich with Carolina sauce and sides of slaw and baked beans. Yummy!

Food is good. Prices are a little high for what you get. Staff is a little unfriendly.

Stopped by- place is primarily takeout- they only have two tables, plus a picnic bench outside. Didn't know what to get, so got a little bit of a few things- brisket, pulled pork, and a rack of pork spare ribs. The brisket was very good, and the ribs were excellent- meaty, well-flavored, and at the happy medium between chewy- tough and fall-off-the bone. The pulled pork, though, was so good, it was almost ridiculous. Next time I'm keeping all of it for myself. At least with the things we sampled, you can't go wrong. We also got some potato salad and some cole slaw; they were fine. We took a little bit of both sauces offered- the sweet ketchupy typical BBQ sauce, and a vinegary Carolina style variation with a red-pepper flake kick. Bring on the meat!

Delicious food! Tried the smoked turkey and it was terrific. Can't wait to try the ribs. Slaw was great, and baked beans scrumptious. Next time I will stay away from the Mac and cheese, as it was pretty basic. No complaints here though. Awesome! I ate every bite

This family run BBQ company is a real gem! I had the smoked turkey sandwich, the turkey was delicious and the chipotle slaw was amazing! Can't wait to try the corn bed pudding next time!

We just got the slater tater and a slice of pecan pie. The potato was loaded with enough food to feed 3-4 adults, and every inch of it was delicious. The pie was fresh and tasted home-made.

If you're a foodie and you live within 30 miles of this place, you need to go here. You owe it to yourself. Easily the best barbeque in PA and I should know. I grew up in MO. I've had some of the best barbeque in both KC and St. Louis. This is on par with some of the heavyweights in the area. People in the Valley always say that Grumpy's has the best barbecue in PA. If you like it, you owe it to yourself to travel up to Bangor and try Little Creek. They will change your mind about where the best barbeque is. The pulled pork is their specialty and it doesn't disappoint. The pork is smoked to perfection. The rub hits all the right notes. The sauce is some of the best I've had.

I think the best BBQ in the area. The ribs have a nice dry rub spice mix and a great smokey flavor (and smoke ring)! Their sauce (served on the side) is very flavorful (compliments the ribs) and they have a nice selection of sides. Any leftovers make Great rib nachos with their sauce and cheddar cheese!!!

Straight up southern BBQ joint. Good stuff, cheap prices. The ribs are the best. Try their pickled okra too.

Absolutely the best ribs I've had in this area and believe me we've been looking for 8 years since we moved to NJ. Fantastic quality no fat or gristle. Great dry rub and sauce on the side. Great side dishes and deserts too! Did I mention the prices are low! BYOB.

My favorite barbecue place! Food is great, they don't skimp on portion size and the owners live for barbecue.

We found this place by accident on our way to Franklin Hill Vineyards. We got lost (see the full story in my review of the vineyard) and people in the local deli highly recommended the bbq. So, we got a bottle of Evanswood red wine which went perfectly with our baby back ribs dinners. I don't usually eat baked beans, but he ordered them. I tried and wow! We've been back a few times since. My family went there, too (and got me a t-shirt). It's the best bbq I've ever had. Better than North Carolina, NYC, Phillipsburg... Find them on Facebook. Love every dish I've tried: pulled pork, coleslaw, spicy corn, potato salad. Baby back ribs with red wine is still my favorite. Looking forward to visiting on our way home from wine tasting.
