I am locally here at the coast. THIS IS THE PLACE!!! YOU NEED TO GO HERE you can sit inside or outside but I would sit inside because it's warm it's cozy there a fireplace. if you're not local from the coast you will feel at home here. It's a right in town it's 1.1 mile away from manzanita I always get the cheeseburger because they're so delicious!!! This is a totally kid friendly place.

First time here. Saturday morning, we just beat the main onslaught of beachies and tourists. One gal had all the tables herself and was doing magic. She was soon aided by another waitperson, by then there was only one seat left. We had a 15 min. wait for our food which is understandable considering the moment. The wife had a ham & cheese omelet & I had the south of border omelet, both were wonderful. We will remember this little oasis in the foggy rainy coast of Oregon for sure. PS they do have limited outdoor seating

Biscuits and Gravy were yum. Also recommend the Bunk House Breakfast Sandwich. Solid breakfast place with great service. Kids menu covers a range of tastes. They have a cute wall with pegs for the locals to hang their coffee cups.

Great service. Friendly and had wonderful breakfast today... Very few places here have breakfast all day and they had my favorite type of breakfast foods. Healthy too.

We were fortunate to go on opening night for the new ownership. Terrific service, and great food- fast. They have the best local beef dip I've found yet. Hubby really liked his french toast. Prices are very reasonable too. This will likely become our go-to place for those nights where I'm too tired to cook, and we just want a reasonable, no hassle bite to eat. We wish them great success.

Ok, I forgot Wanda"s is closed on Wednesdays. So I drive past the Bunkhouse, didn't really get a good feel from yelpers about this place and the few reviews they had were old. I continue on to Manaznita,maybe I will try this Bread and Oceans Bakery.Its got decent Yelp reviews. I also drive by the Big Wave cafe.No thanks. I ate there before and was not impressed. After driving by I decide I don't want to do Breads and Ocean bakery. I drive back down to Nehelem to try out the Bunkhouse. I was the only sorta young person in the place besides the waitress. Well, older people know there food tho so I have a seat and get a small cup of coffee going. I hate small coffee cups. I decide on two orders, scrambled eggs with bacon and hashbrowns and a order of sand dollars pancakes. The eggs were dry and cold. The bacon was not very tasty and the hash browns were ok. What I really wanted were the pancakes. The butter looks funny. and its not melting. I try to cut the cakes with my fork and no such luck. I need the knife. You no what that means? No fluffy light pancakes. These were kinda rubbery and lukewarm. I could also hear the sounds of a microwave but I don't want to know why. Well, I wanted to give this place a try. I will not come back.

I agree with Sean. Good local flavor, everybody giving updates on family and ailments, and the selection is limited to the normal breakfast sandwich and instant oatmeal. I say go here if you need to eat and Heidi isn't open down the street. The wall of mugs is interesting, and speaks to the local flavor. We were excited with the owner of the pinup girl mug came in and pulled it lovingly from the peg.

Service is fair and the food is average. It has a nice local flavor and when I went it seemed filled with local people. With not alot of options this one seemed better then most.

Over $8.00 for a limp, tasteless Caesar Salad. Hope the locals get a deep discount for being regulars. As a cook and former waitress I was VERY disappointed in the food quality. Not exactly sure how this place gets a 5 Star review. Mystified.

We stopped by yesterday and by chance found a wonderful place to come back to. The waitress was beyond wonderful, the food delish (especially the fries) and it was very clean. It will definitely be a mark on the map for our next trip!!

Ok where do I begin? The chicken fried steak or the mixed berry waffle?! LOL! I am a local of the area and eat here quite often. The menu is extensive and breakfast served all day! You can't beat that.The service is always wonderful and the meals come out hot and fast! This restaurant has gone through 4 owners in 10 years and the new owners opened in July 2012. Such a pleasant change! I went years without coming here because of the service and food. Anyways give the Bunkhouse a try! They also serve liquor, beer and wine!!! Bloody Mary or mimosa with breakfast? YES PLEASE!!!

The food was amazing I never had such a good steak the only bad thing was the service especially the little waitress she was so rude and not carrying now. The only reason why I wont go again.

This place is great! We stopped in for breakfast and we should have shared a meal! They were huge and delicious! The service was quick and friendly. It's very casual, you seat yourself and pay at the register. I like it that way, because it makes things go quicker. I will definitely eat here again when I pass through Nehalem.

We just happened to come upon this place as were driving on our way to Newport. We are so glad that we stopped!!!! Good, strong coffee. I had the crab Benedict and it was to die for. Literally one of the best things I have ever ate. Huge chunks of crab, creamy hollandaise sauce but not overpowering and the poached egg was cooked perfectly. My husband had the south of the border omelette and that was incredible as well. Although he did not share a bite of his omelette with me even though I shared a bite of my crab Benedict. Ha ha. This is a local hang out and has that vibe, but the service was incredible and very friendly and welcoming. We will definitely be back when we are in this area again!!!!
