I've had a lot of pizza in my day and this place has some of the best! Their pasta is good too. I would recommend the Alfredo, especially if you're vegetarian. The service is usually pretty good even if the place is packed. No complaints here.

Didn't try the pizza and decided to go with pasta instead. Ordered the Cajun Penne and it was awesome. It's quite rich and creamy, and has a nice smokey flavor from the smoked gouda that they use.

We LOVED this place! The fries are amazing, best fries ever! The smoked salmon ravioli was a delicious dream, wonderful flavour. My husband thoroughly enjoyed his burger. Our waiter was very polite and nice. We will definitely be back. :)

Beer Weekend in Medford. We went to WRBPC for lunch. It wasn't participating in the event but I had a good ESB. We ordered the pesto primavera pizza that included several vegetables and small bits of chicken on a thin crust. The flavor was good and the veggies were cooked with the pizza so that they were imbedded in the cheese and didn't fall off as we ate. (An advantage of thin-crust pizzas--they cook quickly.) This is a large restaurant with minimalist decor that caters to the sporting and "pizza" crowd. The service was efficient and friendly.

Lack luster at best, nothing, did I say nothing, to write home about. Ordered a calzone, though it came out of an oven, I'm hoping, it was still a strange kind of almost rubbery. Had a little pizza oven char on it, but maybe that was a spray on effect? Like a nice custom fade paint job on a sweet 57' Chevy, though minus the Chevy, the custom fade paint job, and anything else sweet... My boys had the rotini and red sauce, or I'm thinking the rotini and a $.99 store can of stewed tomato tossed on top of overly cooked rotini. I guess I should expect much from a pizza joint in this area. With the exception of a ton of arcade games, felt like an old Shakey's, just not as good... Sorry gang.

Nice clean place. Had a pastrami sandwich and a beer for $14.50. Fries or sides $2.50 extra. Very little flavor in a sandwich with Swiss, tomatoes onions and pastrami. Pizza looked good but I'm guessing the quality of ingredients are probably the same as in my average sandwich. Spacious well lit interior. Service was friendly.

A pizza for the masses? A deep rut of moderate to overpriced Dominos has been added to the list. It's edible and nearly all of it is respectably "handcrafted" but nothing excites. Digs: A surprisingly large temple; the entry let's you gaze at their huge oven (impressive) + roomy kitchen but quite empty when we checked in at 6pm on a Sunday; tables sprawled everywhere on multi-leveled dining area seating a few hundred; two lonely local football jerseys among the white bare walls; a bar was well hidden around a divider; Ate: Greek Lamb - "ok" combination of sweet onion, meat seemed off or "gamey" compared to previous lambs I've consumed; more bland then expected; Hog Creek - (aka Canadian Bacon & Pineapple) - sad, hardly any pineapple chunks scattered around the pie, looked like a last minute thought; a decent thin crust brick-oven taste; House salad - tossed romaine lettuce, but hello crouton city?!; --- Strangely I do want to return to test their beer selection; perhaps a quick bar visit; Service: A helpful host that did not remember our "ahead of time pizza" order/reservation; the server was friendly to our group; Final Thoughts: Looking at the price versus taste it did not meet our expectations. I respect and commend Wild River on keeping everything homemade, in-house, whatever you want to call it but they need to upgrade their ingredients even on a basic pineapple pizza. Maybe borrow the interior decorator from Kaleidoscope Pizza to boot? The search continues in Medford.

Happened upon this place around 2 in the afternoon with a group of 8. Greeted and seated promptly. Great, attentive service with a smile courtesy of our wait staff, Suzette. Onion rings and fish and chips were great. Their brewed root beer was fantastic! Would recommend.

Most notably, we received the best service we've had in a very long time!!! Our server's name was Jonathan and the excellent quality of service he provided convinced us that we'd definitely come back and bring our friends. We definitely were glad we chose the bar area for seating over the restaurant. It's a full service area that provides both central bar seating and lots of large booths for more privacy. Pizza here is great, wings are so yummy and not fatty at all, Craft beer is good,. The only only meh -- pub salad was fair at best. And surprisingly their desserts are excellent! Definitely worth a try for good, casual food.

One of my favorite pizza places in the valley! I love the taco pizza, the pasta is great and the fish and chips are delicious.

Great food and friendly service. We ordered a couple of house salads that were crisp and tasty. The complimentary bread was fresh. The wild side pizza was awesome and the beer (IPA and Hefeweizen) was delicious. For a decent meal in price, service, and flavor, we highly recommend this place.

We walked into a cavernous, mostly empty space and were quickly shown to a table. An exceptionally friend server (EFS) greeted us and took our drink orders. When asked, she recommended the pasta dishes, the pizza, the burgers, the salads, and the calzones --- basically the entire menu. We ordered two house salads and decided to split a regular calzone rustica. Also a diet Pepsi and a regular lemonade. The food came promptly: first the drinks, then the salads, then the calzone. The food was delivered by another server, not EFS. Lemonade: Barely sweet, watered down, possibly a mix. Salads: Large, cold, crisp. Ranch dressing and house dressing: Blah Ah, the calzone. Tasteless. The marinara dipping sauce? Tasteless. I'm not going to explain to this kitchen how to cook tasty food, but I will say that we both salted (I never salt), which helped a tiny bit. The chicken was touted as "marinated" and "wood fired," but it was flavorless and possibly a bit on the old side. Being hungry, we finished quickly. By the way, EFS never stopped by the table to ask how it was going or to refill drinks. As I said, we finished. We tried to catch EFS's eye but she began to chat with some folks at another table. We waited and waited and waited for our check. I caught the eye of another server and gestured that we needed EFS. He went over and whispered in EFS's ear. Did she spring into action? Did she excuse herself and rush over? She did not. After another five minutes or so, she finally made it to our table and apologized for our wait. By this time, our usual kindness had curdled (helped along by the lousy food), and my normally silent husband told her that her apology was hard to believe. EFS explained that the people were old friends. My husband countered that it didn't matter; that she should have excused herself, done her job, and then gone back to chat. EFS apologized again, but rather coldly, and cleared the table and left. She came back saying that she'd taken care of the check. Our terrible meal was comped because of terrible service, but I will not allow a comped check to silence us about this restaurant. They need to know.

Don't get me wrong, this pizza is good and a lot of the beers are good, but the ambiance is severely lacking. The freaking IPA thinks its an imperial stout. Take the good with the bad and enjoy it! Only two stars though.

I love me some good pizza but this is not it. We visit the area regularly and so was hoping for good pizza but not even close.

Ok. So....this is a mixed review. I'm going to try and be brief'ish. The wife and I came here about 8 years ago and had a pretty poor dining experience. So we came back tonight, with the hopes that things had changed. Not that we thought 8 years would separate a bad experience from a good experience and therefore it would be good, rather more so that the place is highly recommended. We thought maybe we were missing something. But we weren't. It's all about the service for me. I am paying to eat somewhere when I'm already a pretty good cook myself. I will also say the atmosphere at home is great! We were never given plates, until we asked.... another waitress. Simply because we hadn't seen ours in 10 min. Also, our pizza was incorrect when delivered to us, though promptly I will add. Which is very important. I advised the server on the error in the order, which was met with a kind blow off, because of how busy it was. Ehh... ehh... not a great response. I will say though that the kids burger and fries were well received, and the incorrect pizza was tasty. It just wasn't what we ordered. Plain and simple. All in all it was just poor service, in a weird environment. Abbys pizza at a premium.

Pizza is good. The service is decent. The price is pretty steep. I do like that they sell their dough and rolled out dough for a decent price it is as good as my own pizza dough but a lot less work.

On a recent trip to Medford, Oregon I took my girls here for dinner. I had come here one other time and had nothing but good memories. We went in a little later in the evening and immediately were greeted with very friendly service. Asked if we wanted to sit in the bar were it would be a little more quiet. This was a good decision and got very good service. I tried the BBQ sandwhich with a side of fries and my daughters got a Hawaiian pizza with olives. I usually don't get fries as a side dish, but on the recommendation of the bartender I ordered them. Hands down these are the best fries I have ever had. If you come here you could just have munch on these fries and wash it down with some of their delicious beer. They have home made beers on tap which is a HUGE plus! The bartender was so awesome and kept whatever samples flowing. I bought a pretty good selection to take home. Whenever going back to visit grandpa and grandma we will be back.

My wife, two boys and I ate here for dinner during December. This pizza was average to slightly above average but their appetizers were awesome. Also the atmosphere, which was packed on Saturday was great as well! We will be back.

Went in for a late night treat- first time I've ever seen it this busy towards the end of the day. I got a table tucked away in the back by the bar- also a new experience for me. Their Greek lamb pizza was delicious, but was missing something green- in my opinion. The personal size, including tip, came in around $10- a perfect price for a perfect size!

If atmosphere is where you get your jollies while dining out, avoid Wild River. I swear the building was once used as a slaughterhouse or, at best, a warehouse originally. Complete with drains in the concrete floor, the restaurant exudes a strong feeling of frigid lonliness. The restaurant is baron of decoration. For a place called Wild River one would expect a river themed restaurant. More than two elk paintings are needed to accomplish this. I just... can't... quite... explain it. You have to see it to understand what I'm saying. I don't like it one bit. On the other hand, the food was good. The fries were iffy to me, but the burgers were huge and I really enjoy the garlic aioli. I suggest you get your food to go.

The stars are for the beer and desserts, definitely not for the ambiance or the pizza! Interior-- felt like I was in a Republican hunting lodge complete with cami-painted walls and eagles catching fish in their talons paintings. Not my bag. Bizarre at best. Pizza-- Tombstone is higher quality. No, really. Cream puff was excellent as was the chocolate cake. IPA beer was tasty. Service was good. For families, this place is a steal; my kids loved their bad pizza meal ($5 for a mini pizza and a drink). For them, i would go back. For me? I'll go to Creekside in Ashland. Pricing is reasonable-- you pay for what you get. Consider yourself warned.

Good food in general, large portions. Not the best pizza in town, but pretty good. The bar is quieter and nicer than the restaurant area and there is a patio. Good fresh brews, great deserts. Good service. Atmosphere is cold, barren, lots of white and high ceilings. We find the Medford location to be far better than Grants Pass

We were driving through Medford on our way to Lincoln City with our two large dogs. We weren't able to find a lot of options that were pet friendly. Wild River had a closed in patio where we were able to sit with the dogs. Our server was great, even bringing out bowls of water for the dogs. The beer was really good. We had the wheat, IPA and flavored seasonal, all wee very tasty. The servings were large, two of us shared a salad and small pizza and there were leftovers of the pizza. I would recommend this as a pet friendly place.

We've been coming here for a while now. The pizza is great and I always get the stout. Not a huge fan of just about everything else ive gotten from the kitchen. You guys could stand to kick up the portions a bit. This is 'merica after all. The decor is terrible and sadly they play Medford radio instead of buying a frigging Pandora account. Other than that ask for Mariah in the bar area and you'll always get top knotch service...and no I am not her friend. I just appreciate a good server when I see one.

went here 8/2/13 Bad service. Granted I knew it'd take long because we came in a group of 20+. But we've been here a week now and this has been the longest wait. To order was a 17 minute wait. To get food it was so long my newborn had taken a full nap before we got our food. For any moms you know that's over an hour. In addition, we didn't get my soup and salad til after the pizza came. The whole point of the soup and salad was to hold me over, apparently not. So then when the foo came the hubby and I had to play pass the baby because we didn't realize pizza, soup and salad took over an hour to make O_o Lastly, the food. Pizza cut it any way you like to but at least make it worth the $30 we'll be paying for it, instead it taste like cardboard and was burnt on not just the edges but underneath. Disgusting. Luckily my hungry kids ate it without complaint. I wouldn't touch it at all. I'd give this a one star but the gal was nice enough to apologize that she wasn't used to the huge size we had and for her service and taking it off our bill. Otherwise, this would've been a 1 star review.

2 stars for super nice staff, and the pizza is.... Well.... BLAND... I couldn't, for the life of me figure out why it was so bland.... It looked super delicious, they cut the pizza into little squares which was kind of cool, but the pizza had no flavor, and that was very odd. We got the deli delight, there were plenty of meats and cheeses (yes, a man just quoted "Bridesmaids") on it, and it seriously had no taste? I didn't understand it, and saw the same comments on yelp about bland pizza. Maybe if the owners or manager are reading this they can add some garlic, salt, something to the sauce to bring out the flavor? Maybe buy some local meats instead of frozen sausage stuff? Wish I knew the answer to this, cause the place has a cool look to it, but bland pizza... Blehhh

I hate giving poor reviews, but this time I just have to. I've never met a french fry I didnt like until I went to Wild River Brewing Co... The fries got good reviews on this yelp page but in my opinion they are just awful. I couldnt eat more than a few of them. I kept trying them thinking they would get better, but they just didnt. It's like they battered french fries and refried them. They're gross. Also, I had a burger that I just did not like. I feel like if you order a specialty burger, it would be common sense to leave the regular burger items like mustard off of it. I got a burger with roasted garlic, caramelized onions and cheddar cheese, which could have been good on it's own but with a huge dollop of mustard, and the other regular burger toppings, was just disgusting. Also, both of my in-laws ordered a burger as well and neither of them were very impressed. None of us finished it, and they didn't seem to like the french fries either. We also got an order of onions rings, which tasted good but were SO greasy I couldn't eat more than two. My husband is a huge beer lover, and he said their beers were just "ok" One thing I did like however, was the pizza. I ordered one to go because I was still hungry from not liking my original purchase and new if I didnt try the pizza right then and there, I would never go back for it. I ordered a normal supreme, not sure what they called it, but it was actually really good. I'm originally from New York, so pizza is near and dear to my heart. It's my favorite food and when I find a good pizza, I am a happy girl. This place actually got their pizza right. Nice soft chewy crust, cripsy toppings and the perfect amount of melty cheese. I will get pizza from them again! But definitely nothing else. I won't be dining in here, but I will probably order a pizza to pick up on occasion. Sorry, Wild River, but as a whole, you're just not for me... or my husband

Great place for family dinner out, large parties or get togethers... love the happy hour menu! I'm not a drinker but have heard wonderful things about their award winning handcrafted brews. Their homemade root beer is the best I've tasted! I've never been diappointed with their pizzas. The dessert is selection is quite varied and again... made in house... nice finish to a great meal! Favorites: Cheesy Garlic Bread, Cherry Chicken Salad, Deli Delight Pizza, Beef Dip... FRIES ARE THE BEST EVER!! TIP: if you're a family with small children you can order "kids noodles" for free! It's a small bowl of house made rotini noodles with butter. :)

The last time we went there, the service was atrocious! We waited over 30 minutes for our chips and drinks, and almost an hour for our pizza. Then the pizza was the worst we've had there. We didn't finish it because it was so bad! The service has always been deficient there, but the great pizza made up for it. I hope the lousy pizza is not a new normal, because they'll only get one more chance to change our impression!

I have been to Wild River a number of times, and have never been disappointed. Therefore, I'm giving them five stars. They are very consistent with their food, drinks, and service. I've tried their pizza, pasta, and calzone. All amazing, and their house-brewed root beer is awesome. Everyone is super friendly and helpful. I wish they still held open mic nights here!!!

Yum!!! Do you like a cracker thin crust, wood fired to perfection with loads or real cheese and delicious toppings? This is for you! A little non-traditional only in that they cut it into bites for you. A Medium served two with lots to spare. You will not be disappointed in your meal. A little pricey but good ingredients cost money I guess.

Great food! So many choices of handcrafted pizzas, burgers, calzones, pastas, beer and so much more. The pizza crust here is my FAV! Service here has always been personal with true care of the quality of your food and experience. The staff are friendly and want you to want to come back again and again. Listen when you come and hear others around you having a good time if you can hear past your own group.

Well... It didn't turn out to be what my family told me it was... Too bad. It looked promising! Granted, I got the Freshwich sandwich since that was one of the only non-pizza vegetarian options, but the sandwich was SO lackluster! I got about a tablespoon of sprouts, mostly tomato and cucumber slices, a fair portion of avocado, store-bought tasting mustard, and a brown nut wheat kaiser roll/bun that was honestly pretty boring and weak for being proudly baked in-house... They totally forgot the red onions on my order. I don't know where it all went wrong... But I do know this: Vegetarians beware! This place has one salad option, no soup option, and two sandwich options for us. No veggie/garden/bean burger. It's those or a custom pizza... BUT, I was told by a few of my meat-loving family members that their burgers were great, so there's that! My mother's caesar salad was only "okay." My sister's salad was "good" but the smoked chicken was "not very good." The atmosphere was fine, but it took 40 minutes for our order to arrive. All agreed that the pub fries were awesome. Ultimately disappointing for me, but the giant $1.00 chocolate chip cookie helped me feel better about it for the most part. I will probably not return.
