Smashing success for our wedding ceremony at Youngberg. We got married Sept 20, 2013. The rooms, service, and wine all made for a wonderful experience for our party of 80. Nicolette and Wayne were professional, clear communicators, and personable throughout the entire process. Jean, from Willaby's, the caterer recommended by Youngberg, coordinated all the vendors the day of the wedding. The weather transitioned from summer to winter that day. Jean talked me through the options and recognized our priorities then made exactly the right decisions for us. We had a burst of rain an hour before the wedding. The chairs were moved under the tent and wiped dry. Rain stopped a few minutes before the wedding started. Because we had a strong preference to have the ceremony outside on the patio, Jean shuffled the guests outside. The guests stood. We exchanged vows. Everyone went back under the tent. It was perfect execution. The diffused light from the overcast sky and gloss from the rain gave us an incredible backdrop for the ceremony. After dark, the fog and rain drops lit by the photographer's strobe light made photo magic. The samples he showed us on the camera LCD were incredible. Can't wait to see the finished results. The heated tent kept everyone warm and cozy during the spells of rain. The DJ commented that he'd been at another event with a tent that wasn't nearly as nice. At that event, people were not happy. He was very impressed with the YH tent. YH closes at 10pm. Those that lingered came inside the inn with the wedding party. We sat in the Inn drinking wine and sharing stories late into the night. Fresh coffee was waiting for us when we woke in the morning. From the signing of the contract in Sept 2012 to Wayne parking my bride's car so her makeup wouldn't get rained on the day of the wedding to the inn keeper bringing me the vail I left behind in our suite the day after the wedding, it was all a great experience. I strongly recommend YH.

We visited this vineyard to picnic and enjoy our day for the 1st time here. The tasting room looked very inviting, well-laid out, and elegant yet relaxed. The assistant winemaker poured our wines and he was very friendly and informative. We used our OR Wine Passport for the tasting and wine bottle purchase and he honored it with no questions asked. We had brought a few fruits and cheese and he was very friendly about letting us picnic on the porch during our tastings. The view was breathtaking, the wines really good (we especially loved the Pinot Gris and the Pinot Noir cuvee), we learned so much from the assistant winemaker, had such a wonderful experience, and will definitely come back.

Another couple and we stayed at the Youngberg for three nights in June. We were not involved in a wedding -- either our's or anyone's close to us. We were there to enjoy the Oregon wine country and we did! The owners and staff were very friendly and flexible. Our room as spacious, well appointed and comfortable. The view is at once breathtaking and relaxing. Expensive, but a good value.

My wife and I were married in July 2012 here and could not have found a better venue and team to work with in planning our special day. Nicolette and her husband, Wayne, were very nice, responsive during the planning process, and made sure all of the details were looked after so we didn't have to sweat the small stuff. From the first tour through the big day, we were very happy with our decision to wed here. The view is breathtaking, the facilities are top-notch, the wine is outstanding, the staff is hard working and truly friendly, and the list goes on and on. The rooms at the Inn are very nice and gave our wedding party (we did a night wedding, thus renting the entire Inn as well) plenty of space and an amazing night at a B&B. Wayne is fairly strict on the music volume level, but was more than willing to help us use his decibel meter to find the max so we didn't go over it. The 10:00 pm end time was no bother to us, our group had no issues taking taxis back to town to keep the party going if they wanted to. The morning after we enjoyed a great breakfast with, again, great service by the Inn's staff. We hand ample time to pack up and get our selves together before check out. Plus, we left our cake topper at the Inn and Wayne kindly mailed it to our house, talk about care and consideration! Bottom line: we would absolutely pick Youngberg Hill if we did it all over again. Not only that, but we plan on returning for future anniversaries. You can't go wrong here.

Beautiful view, friendly staff, and good wine made for the best wine tasting on our McMinnville adventure. We arrived early to the vineyard. I am fairly sure that we were the first to arrive after the tasting room opened. The B&B guests were all hanging out (after breakfast?). Even though we were a little early, we were promptly and politely served a full tasting flight on a gorgeous patio with the an equally gorgeous view. The gentleman serving us spent plenty of time outlining each wine, explaining about the wine making process, soil, and the flavor profile. It was a great morning and we took a bottle home. I see some reviews of the Inn and event rental - I can only speak to their wine tasting, as I stayed elsewhere for our trip.

Terrible, terrible service by Becky! These people are awful! If you are 20 minutes late to a precise time for breakfast or wine tasting they tell you not very nicely to have a nice day! I wasted $372 per night for this disaster! There are far superior options with far better service! Wayne Gorsek

Two for One! I visited the winery tasting room this past Saturday for a vertical tasting (2006-2009) of their single vineyard "Jordan" Pinot Noir. This was enlightening as most B&B's are NOT known for producing stellar wines. Youngberg Hill certainly is! I say "Two for One" as visitors can have both great wines and a terrific place to stay in wine country without leaving the Inn!

This was a very nice inn, with gorgeous views of the vineyard and surrounding fields and mountains. The owner and innkeeper were very hospitable. A stay at the inn included a complimentary wine tasting at 4:00. We stayed in a room overlooking the porch where the wine tasting is offered. The drawback to this room with beautiful views is that porch, where people may (and did) congregate after coming back from dinner, making sleeping a little difficult at first (as the windows were open because the AC was not on). The breakfast that they offer is also very good. Just be sure to let them know of any food allergies the night before unlike some other guests who waited until the morning of. (The breakfast menu is posted the night before.) The walls of the inn are a little thin so just be aware of this when making your reservation. And rooms do not have televisions if this is something you like to have to watch the news in the am or fall asleep to at night. Overall it was a beautiful inn, but it did have some drawbacks.

This is no ordinary Bed and Breakfast! The rooms are warm and inviting, clean and cozy! The view is absolutely breathtaking! This is the perfect place to stop by for afternoon wine tasting or for a romantic getaway! As a wedding coordinator, I've had the honor of doing many weddings there over the years. There are few venues with such an amazing view! I highly recommend Youngberg Hill to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway or a breathtaking wedding venue!

Beautiful place for a wedding. The Inn was very cute and perfect for the wedding party, although small. Wine was really nice as well. Unfortunately the event coordinator there was super unpleasant, rude, and very hard to work with. Also they only let you stay until 10 and refused to do a cash bar after alcohol limit was met. (as previously agreed

I attended a benefit concert in the winery courtyard last week and it changed my life. First of all, I'm pretty sure this venue is among the top 5 most beautiful places I've ever been. I leaned over to my friend and told him that we were both saying the same thing, people would think we were making this up. We wouldn't believe it. The owners, Wayne and Nicolette have 3 beautiful daughters who are active in the creation of the space. Their middle daughter performed at the concert and did a great job. I would go back to stay at the Inn any time. The event calendar is packed with fun things to do, week nights and weekends. Lovely.

Was here for a wedding & it was the most stunning backdrop for the couple's special day. Simply gorgeous! The Inn was cozy, comfortable & inviting. Couldn't ask for a better landscape to celebrate a special event in.

Sad and extremely disappointed that after the drive up there Yelp was wrong on the closing hours and the owner had no good manner to say it closed, he rudely said: come earlier next time. Next time is NEVER thanks, make sure all places you post your business are correct. This no way to say things. Sorry but there are 1000 other great vineyards around. I was so embarrassed w my overseas guests.

This winery is tucked away in the hills of breathtaking Oregon Wine Country and is definitely a gem worth exploring. It is a charming B and B and wine tasting room all in one. If you enjoy reds - this is the place. Reds are their speciality. I am more of a white wine drinker, so I actually didn't buy any of their wines, but the view, their wine dogs, and their relaxing approach, will make you feel like family. They occassionally will run a wine coupon or promotion on their website too so make sure to explore this place. Since they are in the tourism business, they often will give suggestions of other places in the area to explore and visit. The rooms are in the $200 range (Moderate-Expensive), but the winery is worth a visit and a tasting.

Amazing views. One of the best in the area! Youngberg was great with our bachlorette party of 15 ish ladies. The owner was really sweet to all of us, and we enjoyed our visit. The wine is fantastic. I will come back for sure.

Amazing B&B. Very friendly and every room has a view like a postcard. Loved everything!

We stayed in the second room on the right after going upstairs. The rooms are all named... I had too much wine so the exact name has been scratched from my memory. It was remodeled with a theme of wine barrels. The room had an amazing view of the valley. A very romantic setting. The only disappointment is the two course breakfast should actually be described as continental. When I think of a bed n breakfast I think of a large family style breakfast in the morning. In the scheme of things I would stay again and bring my own beef jerky for breakfast!

As part of the Mcminnville AVA Passport weekend we stopped by here. This was our first visit here, although, we had previously purchased their wine. We were greeted by a very pleasant female employee who inquired if we were checking in or tasting wine. We replied tasting wine and she led us into the tasty room. We met with a gentleman who I later found out is the assistant wine maker, named Jesse. He definitely did not have the gift of a salesperson. He poured the wine told us the name and then fell silent. He did the same to the other couple that was there. I asked so, do you have lodging here? Yes, it's a bed and breakfast. Ok. Then I noticed that they were voted a 91 in Wine Spectator, so I tried again. I see you got a 91 for your wine in Wine Spectator. Yeah, we don't chase after that, but if it happens then it's good. Ok. I gave up after that. I've never had to work so hard while drinking wine. I found it mentally exhausting. The YS liked the $60 pinot so we bought a bottle and asked if we could enjoy it on the porch, which he said was fine. We ate our lunch outside and enjoyed the view. They have rooms up there for rent for $220 and up a night and they do host weddings. Looks like it would be a good venue. I liked the wine but the unpleasantness of the overall experience put me off.

This is a must for wine tasting. This estate sits atop a hill with sprawling views for miles. We came on a rainy day but the views were still gorgeous, I can only imagine a clear day. After tasting, in keeper Nicolette was nice enough to give us a peek at one of the rooms available. We will definitely be back and would love to stay the night.

Review for Wine Tasting Only: Amazing views. Lets get that out of the way. This tasting was slightly more stiff than others, although our guide was very friendly. (Not a complaint, more observation). The tasting was quite interactive, with our guide showing us actual soil used for different grapes, and how those flavors translate into their wine. Our guide was one of the winemakers, and he was of course, extremely knowledgeable. We chilled out on their beautiful deck for about 20 minutes taking in the view. Wines were good. If you have a passport, its a must see. If you are driving through and haven't seen the hills, Its a must see. Wines were good, but for me, not worth the asking price.

There are so many amazing things that can be said about this place. From the reservation experience to checking out, this was top quality every step of the way! Check out the views in these photos and then call Wayne and tell him to keep the light on for you And if Aspen is handing out fresh cut lavender and rosemary satchels at breakfast, try to get the one with the purple rubber band!

You can't beat the views and the friendly service (from making the reservation to checking out) they make the Inn worth staying at. But I'm afraid I have to be straight up. The inn is very worn (dated/tired furniture carpets and bathrooms). The place needs a face lift. From the other BnB's we've stayed at the food is just ok. They have the best location we've ever been to, they just need to update and refresh the rooms and common areas.

One of the most romantic B & B's we have ever been to. Everything was wonderful, starting with Pinot wine tasting with Wayne, the winemaker, which is excellent, to meeting Colleen, the inn keeper, we were treated like royalty. The views are unbelievable! We felt like we were on top of the world. The rooms were very large and luxurious. We loved the decor, beautifully remodeled. The bed was very comfortable! Colleen made sure that all of our needs were met. She made us a wonderful breakfast as well. It was hard for us to leave. We will definitely be back!

I rate this vineyard 3 stars for the overall experience. I found the guy in the wine room who was one of the wine makers to be a bit pretentious; definitely not warm and fuzzy. The tasting room is lovely; the scenery is amazing. I'd go again just to be able to view the scenery for sure. The wine we tasted was good but expensive. Plus all the other vineyards we visited did not charge us for the tasting fee when we bought bottles; these guys did which is something to consider when hitting vineyards. It is a nice vineyard but not the best as far as the overall experience.

We went to a wedding here and I can't imagine a better venue for such a special occasion. The view is breathtaking from almost all angles of the wedding grounds. The staff was prompt, nice and hard working. The inn itself is very comfortable and charming. My only criticism is, if I was forced to make one, is that the breakfast at the inn was tasty but somewhat meager. But perhaps that is normal in a bed breakfast style environment since they have to serve so many people at one time.

I kinda love it when the innkeeper sees your car pull up and says "Hey, how's your day." And I kinda love it when the guy who drives the tractors will stop and chat with my farm-boy husband about cover crops. I know (not alot) about red wine, but food??? I know that. And Breakfasts are wonderful. The innkeepers Becky and Pauline have done everything possible to make our stay comfortable. And mornings, when you wake up and it looks like you're living on top of a cloud... beautiful.

I had my wedding at Youngberg Hill this past weekend and it was amazing! It is secluded, but close enough to town for dining or shopping. The staff was fantastic and the views were breathtaking. We stayed in the Cellar Suite the first two nights and the Martini Suite the evening we were married... I must say, they sure know how to make you feel relaxed and comfortable. I can't wait to visit Youngberg Hill again and I would absolutely recommend this fantastic romantic getaway to anyone. In addition, the owners were super friendly and greeted us every morning for breakfast. Nicolette also helped with all of my arrangements for my special day so I did not have to worry about anything when we arrived. Love, love , love this oasis in the mountains
