We have eaten at the Broiler off and on since it opened. It's mediocre. The one thing I can say is that it's not consistent. I've had great service and horrible service. Painfully slow service and super quick, excellent service. But in a small town, where options are limited, I do have to say it's probably your best bet in Coquille. Their milkshakes are a favorite..they are good and you get a lot. Food..again, some hits and some misses. We continue to go back, so it's not that bad..you just kinda never know what you will get in terms of service and food quality.

Bring your appetite because the sandwiches are huge! The prices are reasonable, given the portion sizes. The service was a little lacking, but there aren't too many options in Coquille. Definitely not a bad place to have lunch!

One of the longest standing restaurants in town, and one of the best. Looking for a sandwich, burger, salad? This is the place to go in Coquille. British Beef and Cheddar is my fav heart attack on a plate.

The first few times it seemed to be an OK place service was friendly and the food not bad. The last time I went I took my mother and she wanted a nice prime rib dinner, it was terrible the waitress that was always friendly never once can back by to ask if everything was OK they new it wasn't worth serving, to bad for them it was the last time.

The broiler is one of our favorite restaurants, and we eat there several times a month. We have never eaten anything there that we didn't enjoy. Often, at the request of family members, we will pick up food for them when in route to their house. That Bereuter is a great place with great people and good prices, you can't go wrong.

my grandma suggested this place and so we went.... the food was just okay BUT the service wasnt to great. the place wasnt packed and we NEVER got our drinks refilled or were offered any desert or any other food....

Coquille doesnt have much to choose from, i know...i grew up there. And over the years, options have gotten even smaller. The Broiler has the best burgers and milk shakes around. Burgers are large and topped with fresh condiments. It is a lil spendy, but really, in coquille...thats what you get. If im going through Coquille and I want to stop and eat, it will for sure be the broiler.

This is absolutely my favorite restaurant in Coquille. I don't have one thing I would change. The service is always amazing, fast and friendly. The menu has salad, nacho's, burgers, and steak. I have never left there without being stuffed. The price is fair for the quality, and as an average I end up paying about $10 for my lunch. But in Coquille there is not a lot of quality restaurants, and you will spend about that much at an inferior place as well. With all that said, I feel the need to go eat one of their steak sandwiches. ps, Bert rocks.

Was randomly in tiny Coquille, Oregon, and needed some lunch. Well, as it happened, this place presented itself and in we went. We were not disappointed. The Bleu Burger was absolutely bursting with flavor. I mean really, it was fantastic. If you are ever in Coquille (an unlikely event, to be sure), do stop here if you need a meal. There aren't a whole lot of other options anyways (not a single nationwide fast-food chain, I don't think), so just don't argue and everyone will be happy!

So I'm on a roadtrip up the Pacific Coast, cruisin' the 101. I realize I want to go to Portland, so I take a windy road through Coquille right around dinner time. I decided to try the Broiler. The staff was super nice. I'm "not from around here" and was hoping my google maps acumen was taking me the right way. The gals at the Broiler were super helpful in getting me safely to the 5. So thanks Misty and Bert! :) The food was great! I had a delicious new york steak, with great mashed potatoes and garlic bread. No sauces needed for my steak, it was perfect. The prices were really great too. They had a variety of things to try, so if you aren't a steak person, do not worry. If you are an Oregonian or just passing through, get yourself lost in Coquille and grab a steak!

I love the Coquille Broiler! Cherry Coke and a Fiesta Salad are among my fav's and the waitresses are always nice!

I have really enjoyed their sandwiches and they make milkshakes with real ice cream. My friends have also enjoyed dining with me here as well. When it's time for eating in Coquille, it's The Broiler for me!

This restaurant has become one of my families favorites. I really love that they give you different bun options for their hamburgers and every time I have ordered a steak it has been seasoned well and cooked just the way I ask for it. I really love their British Chedder sandwich which is served on a cheddar garlic grilled sourdough with sliced prime rib and cheddar. So yummy! They also serve many different flavors of milk shake. I tried a cherry one and it was also very yummy. The last time my family went in for dinner our waitress was fabulous. She was very kind, very attentive and really took an interest in our family and made us feel welcomed and special. I kicked myself in the butt for not getting her name so that I could really sing her praise with her name. She is by far best waitress we have had serve us at any restaurant in a long time.

Sweet! New ownership and improved food and service. There's usually something pretty tasty on special but be sure to ask. I do miss the "ol' fashioned greasy burger" The Broiler is so famous for, but I understand the desire to one-up by offering huge, juicy burgers with a ton of topping options. Steak fries are really good. Whatever you do... make sure you ask what's for dessert.

Yall keep saying burger this and salad that, why my order the prime rib! Holy moly! Or the chili! Excellent prime!

GREAT burgers and shakes, cool atmosphere, awesome service. Would recommend and eat there again

Husby likes bonzai burger as well as some kind of bourbon or whiskey BBQ sauce on hamburger. Chicken Caesar salad is good. Me, personally, I will stay away from the brisket sandwich... I tried it once and it tasted like the meat comes already prepared frozen and it had an icky fake smoke flavor. I couldn't get rid of the taste fast enough. Also the mashed potatoes are less than desirable taste as well. Said to not be instant, but I'm not sure how real fresh mashed potatoes could come out tasting this way. Let's just say they still need some work perfecting and so we stick to either baked potato or one of the many fries options including: waffle, curly, regular, steak, or sweet potato fries. They also have tater tots. Both the grilled salmon and grilled shrimp are good and he makes a really good raspberry sauce to go on it (if you ask). Price is pretty spendy on many items which is a bummer

This is one of my favorite places to get wings and a bacon bleu burger, the food quality is really good and the atmosphere is pretty cool

Under new ownership the Coquille Broiler has definitely improved. The food wasn't bad previously, but now it is undeniably notable. My burger and fries were perfect. And don't let the moniker "burger basket" fool you, that was much, much better than some greasy spoon would slide across the counter at you. The patties were cooked to perfection, the buns fresh and not too thick. Why, I'm basking in the warm glow of a satisfying food coma right now. I can't speak for the service yet, I usually place to-go orders, and I'm definitely looking forward to my next one.

The new owners are doing awesome! Food is great!!!! Really good specials. Burgers, sandwiches, salads, fish and chips, steaks and more! We go here for lunch a lot and it is great! Something for everyone.

The place is a bar that serves food. Very uncomfortable to try and take a child to as you can imagine. Very misleading from the outside decor.

My husband and I really enjoyed this place. We ate in the bar area and the booths are awesome. Service was a little iffy, but otherwise we enjoyed ourselves. Very thankful they offer gluten free buns! My husband said his burger was awesome.

We've been eating here since moving to coquille 9 years ago, at which time this was THE place to go. Over the years the choices, service and quality has declined, so we don't go as much. Tonight we went again, and oh my goodness, the food was horrible. When they brought out the honey/bourbon chicken, the rancid smell was overwhelming. One bite confirmed that the taste was as bad as the sauce smelled (fermented perhaps?) - like pine sol and citrus. A decent waitress might have specifically asked as she took away a plate full of chicken, but no. Husband and son said their dishes weren't good either. We won't be back. (If people want good burgers, figaro's across the parking lot offers bigger and better burgers for the same price).

This place is alright, a lot of friendly waiters but one woman who works at the broiler pub and comes through the restaurant constantly throws her energy around really violently and stares suspiciously at customers. Don't come here with greasy hair or if you are trying to mind your own business or you will be "punished." Considering this is literally the only place to go in the area for wifi besides the motel up the street, it sucks. She really seems like a terrible person constantly speaking like she's arguing and being somewhat explosive and still expecting customers to be calm around her and to not look at her or notice her at all? It's really frustrating and upsetting and ruins the experience of eating here or eating at all. The woman has a gray bob and is obviously emotionally out of control, maybe an alcoholic or a trauma victim, rude and awful nonetheless.

I went here last week because I was craving a really good burger and since recently moved to the area I want to find done good places to eat. Well I looked at the reviews and decided to try out out. Bad decision. The ordered a Stuffed Blue Cheese Burger .. It was way too salty and the fries were soggy, like they sat for a while. The vegies weren't the freshest in my opinion. And the Cherry Coke was watered down. So I was definatly disappointed. On the positive note the server was nice.
