I was a first time visitor to Ashland and looking for a comfortable place to stay. I had never stayed at a B&B so I thought I'd try. It was a wonderful experience! The new owners, Julie and JP were incredible! The breakfast was soooo good (e.g., fruit parfait AND eggs Benedict-the best I'd ever had). The inn was very clean, they left out port for after our play and a delicious treat (lemon bars) and chocolate for a late snack. It was an overall incredible stay, so inviting and great meeting the other guests. I'll definetly be back in the future..Highly reccomend!

I have stayed here three different times. Stayed at the outside house (a complete house with everything in it) and in two of the rooms. Excellent breakfast. A lovely older home converted to a B&B. We walked to the festival just about a mile. It really is a nice place to stay.

This was one of our best B&B experiences, ever ! Jean-Pierre and Julie did a magnificent job in preparing the most scrumptious breakfasts, complete with delicious freshly-brewed (locally ground and roasted) coffee and tree fresh orange juice, and served outside on the garden surrounded patio ! Oh, did I mention the daily, freshly baked cookies or fruit bars that were set out in the main house for "nibbles" on your way through ?! Our room was delightful, and to quote David B's review on this page...."Clean, clean, sparkling clean." And the hospitality....absolutely outstanding....Jean-Pierre and Julie made you feel at home, and a part of the family the minute you walked through the door. You will enjoy everything about your stay at the Blue Moon, I have no doubt whatsoever !

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Blue Moon. The breakfasts were exquisite and Jon Pierre and Julia were rightfully proud of the warm, fresh bread, the fruit compote and we were always pleasantly pleased with the main course. We enjoyed all our breakfasts on their lovely patio. Our room was a bit small (Midsummers Night) but we weren't in it that long. The Inn is convenient to the Shakespeare Festival an!d within walking distance. We would definitely return

Do you like being pampered, not smothered? Do you enjoy outrageously good food? Do you enjoy beautiful decor, artistic design and friendly warmth? Truly unique experience, thoughtful guests and renewal for your soul. Eclectic antiques in an upbeat design. Restful garden. Clean, clean, sparkling clean. Attention to details that really matter. Highly recommended. 4 blocks from Shakespeare Festival. Pet friendly options (pets stay in separate cottage).

Dean rocks! I was recently here for four nights during the Ashland Independent Film Fest (which is a fantastic, authentic and stimulating event in its own right) and was completely astounded by the overall experience that Dean creates in this comforting, gourmet B&B. Since my pal and I came in very late (3am due to weather), we expected to come to a dark, quiet house and tuck ourselves in, ready for some cereal and coffee, as would be expected at a lesser B&B. Instead, we entered a warmly lit, cozy house, greeted by a welcome note and homemade banana bread (!) waiting for us. I know - who does that?! Not a fluke either, because not only does Dean dazzle you every single morning with an epicurean offering of breakfast delights (oatmeal souffle, scrambled eggs with roasted tomato and homemade pesto, fresh variety of fruit, home-baked poppy seed loaf, pecan-maple oat pancakes, etc), but he also bakes a late afternoon/evening goodie just for the awesomeness of it. Not to mention the complimentary carafe of port (which I enjoyed on the regular) and the supremely necessary steam room/sauna... Blue Moon is a place I desperately want to return to and then subsequently never, ever leave. Word of warning - Be prepared to be ruined forever at breakfast without Dean. After four epic mornings meals at his B&B, I've since gone straight to lunch every morning. Nothing compares. ;) Of course, Dean totally nails the sleeping arrangements - each suite has its own bathroom, fully stocked with tea tree shampoo and soaps. The bath towels are plentiful and fresh. Even the little doggie, Ty, is a treat to play with. Love that little dude. If you ever visit Ashland - and you should - stay here and your life will change forever.
