5 stars I am giving this small village restaurant. It is like a quaint diner of long past times. It is where the locals hang out to gossip, have coffee, and breakfast any time of day. 5 of us stopped in one afternoon after viewing a piece of land in Southern Perry County. Sheila the hostess, waitress, and owner was glad to serve us. I had the Chicken Casserole, of which was excellent. 3 of us got that, ice tea, and homemade lemonade. Topped off at the end with pie, she had 6 varieties all fresh made. I shared a piece of Banana creme with a friend. What was nice was talking with the local people about the town, history, and the area...just like a big family The food is American fare...hamburgers, hotdogs, steaks, and eggs...and the daily special, served with fries and slaw...or choice of sides like salad, corn, green beans, potatoes and gravy, or soup. They had about 10 flavors of Velvet Icecream, Pizza if you wanted...and more. So if you are down off State Route 93 between Straightsville and New Lexington, Ohio, stop in at the Shawnee Village Restaurant for some down home, small town cooking. You will not be disappointed.
