I have visited the Genji Go in Lewis center many times and had a good experience with each meal. I recently moved but was happy to find another location close by my new place in Reynoldsburg. I just got home with my take out meal for the Reynoldsburg location and the steak was inedible in both bowls. It was trimmings that weren't even fit for ground beef. It was not steak. There was so much fat and gristle in the bits that I ended up having to pick all the meat out in order to eat the rest of the bowl. When I called to tell a manager, I was asked to prove that my bowl was inedible. Excuse me?? I'm not traveling back to your restaurant to give your crappy food back to you so you can see it. Look in your grill refrigeration station and look at what your grill cooks are putting on your flat top. When visiting the Lewis Center location, they actually used a steak that they cut up on the grill as it was cooking. This was a mass of tiny bits that should have never been deemed edible. Thanks anyway Genji. I won't be returning.

I had high hopes but it seemed like everything was under a heat lamp for a long time -- just so dry. But they seem to have lots of customers. Maybe it deserves another chance. But their website menu :: genjisteakhouse.com/menu… is so hard to read. Someone should pick a better font and choose better contrast with the background. There's so much better asian food out there. So I'll keep looking.

Its a continuously disappointing experience. The food is crap quality, there are yumyum sauces sitting out unrefrigerated in a cardboard box as if they are waiting for more room in the fridge. The consistency of sauce is too runny. The price has gone up so much that you honestly might as well go get the real Gengi experience and eat fresh, actual tasting hibachi. The bathroom smells like it is all backed up and the smell leaks out to where the drink machine is... Just totally unappetizing. The bathroom smell was so bad today that I will not be returning. You can't have my food that close to the repulsing fumes that are breaking havoc in there. Done and done.

The staff was very rude and uninterested in my presence. Apparently serving me was an inconvenience for them. The food tasted like it was made last week and the cost was ridiculous.
(1)Minna C.
Love it that you can get it so quickly! And of course the yum yum sauce is the best part :))
(4)Jenny M.
Love love love this food but can't eat it everyday unless hit the lotto! It's expensive!
(4)Rick B.
First time there today and found it just OK. I got the chicken bowl with fried rice and added mushrooms. First of all, was surprised that there were extra charges for vegetables, including onions! Just doesn't make sense to me. I found the fried rice to be a little dry, ended up adding both the Yum Yum sauce and ginger sauce to find it moist and flavorful. Also found the quantity of food to be a little light for the price. Even though there was adequate amount of chicken, there was a fairly small amount of fried rice in the container, not to mention the small amount of mushrooms. I did appreciate getting in and out of there quickly, particularly since I only have 30 mins for lunch. I will probably try it again sometime but most likely will not be a regular even though it is fairly close to my work.

Bland and very disappointed. I had high hopes for this place but the chicken was stringy and the sauces were watery.

This place has went tremendously downhill since 1st opened. Today was the 3rd time in a row I have waited over 5 minutes for steak while watching people pass me in the line as the rest of my food sat and was obviously getting cold. I don't mind waiting but here's a thought don't start to make my order until everything is ready and they now ask you if you want extra rice which they charge for when the place 1st opened the rice portions and vegetables were enough for leftovers now it's barely enough for 1 meal it reminds of chipotle where the portions continue to become smaller and the prices continue to go up. Today will be my last trip and I will give my business to Hibachi Express on Mcnaughten for now on !!

I was pleasantly surprised. I'll admit it, I'm anti-suburbs and start to hyperventilate when I go outside of 270. I was not expecting a lot from my prospects when I had to grab a quick dinner before an appointment in Reynoldsburg. I'm not a raving fan of Genji Steakhouse, but I like it and I thought I would give it a try. A few years ago I tried a fast casual version of Fuji Yama and it was terrible, but then I've never liked Fuji Yama so I'm somewhat biased. Genji-go was quite good. The food was not overly salty, which is the reason I tend to be leery of Japanese steakhouses. For being a chipotle-style set up, everything tasted really fresh. I had the steak bowl with fried rice and bean sprouts. I added zucchini for an extra dollar. For $9 it was a huge amount of food and really quite good. the zucchini was still firm and not mushy and the steak was cooked perfectly. For fans of yum-yum sauce they give you a ridiculous amount with your to-go order. I barely used half of it, but I do know a few yum-yum sauce addicts, so they will be well taken care of. Will I go out of my way to go again, probably not. It's just too far. If I happen to be in the area again I would definitely go.

Amazing sushi at this quick service sushi bar. Same exact culinary quality as the normal Genji restaurant, but with more affordable prices and faster service.

First time to ANY Genji Go.Girl explained how it worked.I ordered Steak&Shrimp&Mushrooms No Rice & Steak&Rice&Onions. I was asked if I wanted an extra scoop of steak for $4 on the no rice. I said not for $4.Then she asked me if I wanted the rice from the No Rice Meal on mine. I said no thank you, but you could add a bit more steak on the No Rice Meal. BTW an extra scoop of rice is $2. No we can't do that. Then when they were packing it up with the Yum Yum Sauce, Which is $1 each they were about to put 4 of them in the bag, I said I only need two. And again asked them to add a bit more steak to the No Rice Meal. No we can't do that. REALLY ? I just gave you $4 and you can't give me a bit more steak? When I asked for a number to the store owner or manager, we don't give that out. Asked for a corporate number, we don't give that out. So, now I am posting this story where ever I find this location on the web.
(1)Steph R.
Amazing! Whomever came up with this idea was brilliant! Tastes just like genjis but ALOT cheaper and faster. Just happened to drive by one evening and I'm so glad I did!!!!
(5)Luke M.
They serve yum yum...that alone gets it 4 stars. The quality isn't bad but it's definitely a notch below what you get at regular Genji...and they don't have cocktails. Overall it's very good, especially considering the price and convenience.
(4)Tammy G.
They charge you for each individual thing and what would normally cost $13 turns out to be $15 without the soup or salad. If you are going to market it like fast food then the prices should match. The rice, shrimp and steak was dry. However, after drenched it in Yum-Yum sauce it was decent enough to quench the craving.

I Absolutely Love This Place! Everytime I go I'm very pleased with the food, customer service, speedy service! I frequent this place if your in the mood for this type food but don't have the time to visit their sit down family restaurant's... This is Spot On!
(5)Adam P.
Didn't realize there was one at this location, but my opinion may be a little bias but I love any of the genji go's around town! This location is clean but really all I could say maybe a little better customer service. Nice to almost have same quailty product at a little cheaper then dining in, who doesnt like to save time and money?
(4)N D.
The food is delicious but it's definitely pricey. Your better off going to a sit down Japanese steakhouse
(4)Keith M.
We stopped by Genji in Reynoldsburg and then figured out that we had actually made a reservation at the Dublin location. Oops! So - off to Genji-Go we go! The service was so fast - I could hardly believe it. I ordered Steak and Chicken on fried rice and had it in my hands in about 30 seconds. The meat was delish but the rice lacked the freshness of having it made to order and tasted a bit like undercooked brown rice, rather than fried rice. The staff was very friendly and the price was pretty fair. All in all, a great experience!
(4)Bryant M.
No hour-long wait? No sitting next to strangers? No annoying onion volcanoes? And no giant price tag? I'll take it. Yep, you can get all the Genji goodness without all the hassles of the original restaurant. Genji Go is fast, the people are friendly, and the food is delicious! The fried rice wasn't exactly the right texture since it wasn't prepared on the spot, but I can easily overlook that for all the other conveniences. And our price tag was $27 for two meals and two drinks - not bad, eh? Oh, and Genji Go has a handfull of tables if you want to dine in.
(4)LJ W.
Great food, especially when the rice is fresh. Yum Yum sauce is great. Steak 1-5=5. Shrimp 1-5=5. Yum Yum Sauce 1-5=5.
(5)Shilo S.
nasty over priced. charge extra for yum yum. food taste rubbery. goto hibachi express. on McNaught rd by she'll
(1)Kaye M.
Fast!
(5)Marijane K.
Great food. Fast and friendly service. Sadly no onion volcano.
(4)Keiana S.
So I'll begin by saying I love Genji. I like Genji go. I came today and ordered shrimp and steak and all veggies. I get home. Reheat in the micro. My veggies are very crisp and flavorful. That's where it ends. Hibachi should not be one fits all. My shrimp was rubbery. From being in the hot pan of course. My steak, well done, rubbery, flavorless. Life in the hot pot as well. A good steak is med rare. Or at least cooked to order . Not served like a high school lunch line. So disappointed. Thank goodness I got three cups of yum yum to completely cover my tasteless meal.
(2)Hannah G.
Awesome food. Nice workers (usually) it's great to just get your food and go, I've never really had a long waiting time for this place; which is perfect. My orders have always came out great and nothing ever over cooked.
(5)Beth H.
If you like Genji Japanese Steak House you will probably love this restaurant too. It's Genji's fast-food equivalent. Choose from white or fried rice, add a meat or shrimp, add mushrooms, onions or extra meat and you're out the door! Prices are much cheaper than Genji on Brice Rd. They don't cook anything in front of you. Your dish is created much like they make burritos at Chipotle. Try it! You'll love it! PS. They have the famous "Yum yum" sauce too!!
(5)Barbara S.
not bad...not bad at all...but i really love the original genji's better
(3)Attila N.
This is such a great and dangerous idea! All the Genji goodness, but none of the Genji wait to prevent you from eating every day! The food tastes just as if you had it prepared at the original Genji's but it's ready to go in minutes!
