Zingo's did not disappoint! We ordered a rather large order for our office retreat and we wanted the food by noon. The workers were so nice, they let us know that there was a big order at noon they had to fill and instead of pushing our order back, they brought it to use early! Awesome service! I got the Chicken Tawook sandwich with a side of Fatoosh. The chicken was perfectly cooked and the Fatoosh was the perfect amount of lemony goodness! :) Sometimes there can be too much on the Fatoosh, but this was absolutely perfect.

This popular place serves good sandwiches. The sandwiches can be ordered on soft pita or Zingo-style which is rolled up in a wrap and griddled. My falafel sandwich, Zingo-style, consisted of crushed up falafel, fresh salad stuff, tahini, wrapped in a thin wrap and griddled. In some ways it was a pleasure to eat because it's not messy and you don't have stuff falling out all over your face and plate. It tasted pretty good too. However, the textural and temperature interest of crunchy hot chickpea balls was lacking - it was just mushy. I tried some gyro meat from a gyro sandwich and I have to say it was quite tasty. Sometimes, reviews are worse because you order the wrong thing. This is one of those times. C'est la vie.

This will be straight to to point. Zingo's has: Great food. Great service. Great location. Great atmosphere. What's not to love? Zingo's gives the usual Mediterranean items unique little twists that make them special (mint flavored tzatziki? Yum.) Obviously, the food is not 100% authentic, but who cares? It's great. Lots of health items available, too.
(4)Rachel B.
Went here for dinner the other day. Good gyro, zingo style. Huge! Service was good. Would return if I'm in the area.
(4)Kristi G.
Absolute BEST food in Perrysburg! Best salads EVER! Love the hummus too and honestly have never had anything short of amazing here. Great baked goods too! I order takeout often and also dine in often, always an awesome experience.
(5)Erin Y.
Great lunch spot. I had the chicken tawooki sandwich zingo style and it was pretty good. The rolled grilled pita was interesting and very good! However, the sandwich could have used a lot more garlic sauce. I felt it was a little lacking. But other than that, it was a tasty sandwich. The homemade baklava was pretty good too!
(4)Jessica D.
Yoooo let me tell you what is up! It's zingos and it's expletive good. Solid balance between salads sandwiches and a sides. Mediterranean food has a special place in my heart, augmented furthermore by zingos special sandwich. Complement it with a tabouli salad (sizeable, btw!) with fresh parsley and you have a phenomenal meal. The zingos special sandwich is filling by itself, with tons of ground beef elevated by an amazing spice blend. Definitely not spicy, just pleasantly spiced. Pita chips are off the chart. Gimme some OF THAT. No 5 stars because some of the tables were still idling dirty-but food is amazing and appropriately priced ($7-$12). And perfect on your waistline. ;)

In town for business and turned to Yelp yet again for assistance- thanks everyone! Best gyro I've ever eaten. Period. It gets a little crazy there though (cause it's insanely popular) so if you plan on eating in the hotel or something be sure to call it in. The juices are fresh pressed and awesome. Had the baacj...whatever that flaky dessert pastry thing is for dessert and was not disappointed. It was so good, I went out of my way to get a late lunch here again on my way out of town.

I stopped by Zingo's Mediterranean on my way back to Columbus. The street where this restaurant was located was charming. Service - Excellent- the hostess and the girl who brought out the food was super nice. Food- I tried the gyro, feta salsa, and falafel salad. The feta salsa and salad was so light and refreshing. The gyro was HUGE, it was double the size of the ones you would get from Happy Greek (in columbus) and the taste/quality was equally as good.
(4)Cathy C.
Great place to eat. Had the junk salad with chicken and gyro meat, YUM, well worth the price. This place was very busy on a Monday early evening. Nice area outside for seating. Stated to my husband's niece, Missy B., that when her and her sister is in Perrysburg for a family get together maybe they would want to check out this place. Well, Missy already knew of this place because this is owned by a friend. HEY friend, you have a great place here. People at the register were very helpful since I it was my first time in, I am sure I will be back when we get up that way. Keep doing what you are doing.
(5)John T.
This is a great place for a casual meal in Perrsyburg. You order at the register, and then find your own seat and the waitress delivers your meal. The food was excellent and I don't think you can go wrong with any of the dishes.
(5)Stephanie O.
Great place in downtown perrysburg. Everything is fresh and delicious. Cute decor too. Went on a Saturday afternoon for lunch, it was busy but only took about 15 minutes for our food. Had the falafel salad with vibrant fresh veggies. Falafel is toasted, so healthier and good but I've had other falafel I like better-but def would get it again.y husband had a chicken gyro that was super delicious. All around good place. Always busy. Almost five stars worthy
(4)J L.
So yum! There Zingos style chicken gyro is amazing! They have the cutest little restaurant in downtown Perrysburg. Love it!!
(5)James M.
WOW!!! Never thought I would be satisfied with another middle eastern restaurant after eating @ Bucharest in Detroit! Man was I wrong! This was "ALMOST" as good. The options were a little different, but "OUTSTANDING," none the less! Everything we ordered was "PHENOMENAL," with the exception of the hummus, which was just okay! The junk salad was one of the "BEST" salads I have ever had! The meat was cooked to perfection & seasoned just right! The kids had gyros & "LOVED" them! The garlic sauce was "AWESOME" as well! Restaurant was clean & service was satisfactory. Will most definitely be frequenting Zingos!!!!!!!
(5)Kate F.
Wow! Junk salad is packed with goodies, great atmosphere, I would definitely eat here again. A gem in the chain restaurant capital of the USA!
(5)Katie W.
I'm a little surprised I haven't yet reviewed Zingo's, as it's one of my favorite Mediterranean restaurants in all of Toledo. It's tucked away in Perrysburg, but I still love the options they have on their menu, and there's never a wait. Their food is super tasty, and if it were located closer to me, I would probably go there several times a week.
(5)Matt R.
The Junk Salad was great as was the Carrot Curry Soup! I highly recommend this place!!
(5)Ali P.
I haven't had Mediterranean food in years, and I recently moved to Perrysburg and came across zingos! I got the chicken tawook and oh my!! It was phenomenal! The garlic sauce really brought it home. It was a Saturday night and they were very busy so I took my order to go. The girls there were very nice! I will definitely be going back. This pick a pair deal is great!
(5)Kelly C.
Awesome food! Great prices! Beautiful downtown Perrysburg! You absolutely must try their feta salsa....it's SO yummy! Free warm piece of baklava to finish things off. Will come again on our next visit
(5)Ameen S.
Good food very fresh. However I wish the menu was expanded to highlight more of the greatest Mediterranean dishes.

After spending three gorgeous days on Put-in-Bay with less than tasty and healthy food, my husband and I were hungry for some decent food. Thanks to Yelp, once again, we traveled a short distance off the toll road and found ourselves at Zingo's in Perrysburg. The restaurant was quite busy inside and out because it was Friday, at noon on July 3. But Oh, so many possibilities. We grabbed a menu and got in line to order. The line moved quite quick. The cashiers were very helpful, friendly, and patient. We paid the cashier, were given a number to place on our table and in a short time, the servers, who were also very friendly, attentive, and helpful, brought our lunch. My husband ordered the gyro, Zingo's style, and said it was the best he's ever had...and this coming from a hard to please hearty eater. Me? I ordered the perfect vegan falafel salad with just the right amount of tomatoes, radishes, parsley, cukes and warm falafel atop a huge mound of Romaine. The salad actually included fresh onions and tahini dressing but I eat neither. The menu claimed award winning carrot cupcake. My husband considers himself a connoisseur of carrot cake. Although good, "Not the best", was his comment. I love cherries so I had to try the Oatmeal Toffee Cookie. This was incredibly disappointing (thus one less star otherwise this would have been a five star review). The menu stated "crisp oatmeal cookie overflowing with dried cherries, toffee, and chocolate chunks. I think the baker lost track of his/her recipe because I dissected the cookie and found NOT one tidbit of cherry nor saw or tasted any caramel. Pure disappointment. If I rated our main lunch items minus the sweets, this would easily have earned a five star. When we travel east again, we will definitely drive out of the way for lunch, but not dessert. By the way, this was my first review.
(4)Daniel F.
Came for lunch the other day and really enjoyed it. We split the feta salsa, which was only about $4 for the smaller size and I thought was pretty good (and decent sized)-- tasted like fatoosh salad and tabouli mixed with feta cheese. I got the junk salad (for $12, but probably worth it) and It was one of the better salads in the area. The dressing, the feta, the gyro meat, the chicken chunks, everything on it was really delightful-- I would recommend this to someone that really likes big, different, tasty salads. The person I was with got a gyro, which was pretty good as well. It is one of the better Mediterranean spots in the area, but not the best.
(4)Alia P.
I was vising a friend in my former home of Perrysburg and wanted to badly to eat at Zingos. When I lived in Perrysburg, I probably ate there about once every 2 weeks. So delicious. When I arrived a few days ago, I was pleasantly surprised that the business has expanded into the next door and there is now about double the amount of seating as there was before! This place was packed on a Saturday afternoon for lunch. I had the Chicken Gyro - nicely seasoned, love the "Zingo Style" bread. Had a side of meat grapeleaves. Perfect texture, perfect amount of tang. I also like their hummus, junk salad, vegetarian gyro, shish tawook.. ok, well everything on the menu is good. Sandwich portions are pretty big and prices are fair. Totally need to get one of the cookies with your meal. They also have a nice selection of cream soda and root beer with alternative sweetners (and some with good 'ole sugar) - kind of a nice treat. The only reason I'm taking a star off is that the wait for our food after we placed our order was a little bit long. Otherwise, I was very satisfied. I wish there was one of these in CLE.
(4)Sarah C.
The food was of good quality, but I think that it's a little overpriced. I got a beef kabob pita with a side of hummus and paid over $10. The hummus was not flavorful enough, so I was very glad to have gotten the garlic sauce as well. One thing I have to say is: Best grape leaves I've ever had! Maybe I just don't know Middle Eastern food very well, but all the grape leaves I had before had a smell that I don't really like. I'm not a huge fan of cilantro or basil and I guess grape leaves smell similar. BUT the grape leaves at Zingo's were tender and very mild. And again they have very good quality meats. Overall, I liked Zingo's. Their ingredients are fresh and their shop is clean. I just don't know if this food is the I-had-a-long-day-and-all-I-could-think-about-is-Âeating-this kind of food. More of it "I'm lazy and need some decent take out food that won't give me a heart attack".
(4)Elo E.
My friend and I were joined by his father and his girlfriend this evening for our first time at this place. Im going to have to say the food was really good, save for the vegetarian grape leaves. The feta salsa is a -must- try, it was really good. I had the vegetarian gyro, and it was delicious. They do have some fruit smoothies and gourmet coffee available, but maybe next time on those. Service was not the best or worst I have received. I just wish they served beer at this place. Price, portion, and quality were all good.
(4)Tami H.
Excellent meal today! We had the Junk Salad and Chicken Tawook. Used our Yelp check in for a free baklava. Loved that we were able to sit outside and enjoy the beautiful weather. Highly recommend if you need a fast casual meal in Perrysburg.
(5)Lauren H.
What a delicious restaurant in a charming town. We stopped here in our way back from vacation and the food was very good and the portions where very generous. Would definitely come back!
(5)Sandra C.
We were in town for a wedding and Zingo's was recommended at the hotel desk. So glad we stopped there. After traveling all day, we needed real food! Salad! We had the Greek and the Apricot. Fabulous! Free baklava, too. Yummers!
(5)Kiran R.
Food is great-I love the feta salsa and the apricot chicken salad. Always a good meal :)
(4)Sidney C.
Zingo's is a neat little place that historic downtown Perrysburg has to offer. It offers a semi modern/classic vibe setting to enjoy a quick bite to eat. The service was quick and the food was good. Unlike some area Mediterranean options, the flavors were well balanced. Not too bland or too overwhelming. I would recommend Zingo's for a casual meal option and intend to return to try more from their menu.
(4)Casey M.
Always go here when in in town. I love the falafel sandwich "zingo style" and the chicken and rice soup was very good. Dad likes their smoothies. Good options for vegetarians.
(5)Jessica D.
Last week, 7 family members and I walked downtown to enjoy Zingo's on a Friday evening. They are from the South and a little nervous about trying the Zingo's offerings I had been raving about. So, I ordered kabobs, samplers, the garbage salad, original and chicken gyros (Zingo's style, of course), and finished up with baklava. Though originally hesitant, several who thought they didn't like lamb and ethnic cuisine, everyone enjoyed everything. Plus the service was amazing! The Zingo's team kept checking on us for beverages and questions. Thanks for your exceptional food and customer service!
(5)Airick H.
Beef gyro!!! Loved it! Also my women tried the junk salad! Fantastic. We will be back. Loved the set up! Great pricing as well! Ps. The hummus was great! The pita chips had an awesome spice on them!
(5)Shawn M.
Went to Zingo's last night with my other half and one of our great friends.....The menu was simple and everything sounded great. We were greeted by a friendly girl who was very knowledgeable about the menu and sides....I was caught back by the prices though....I do have to say they seem high compared to other Mediterranean restaurants in the area. I felt like my wallet was a bit "Zingo'd" for what I got:-) We both ordered the Chicken Tawook which came with a side of almond rice and a few small piece of pita bread.....Like I previously stated the food tasted well but for 2 Chicken Tawook Entree's , a sweat tea and a water was nearly $35 dollars which I felt was extremely overpriced....I would definitely recommend you going here for lunch which is more affordable but I wouldn't recommend paying their dinner prices....There are better more affordable Mediterranean places in the immediate area where you get just as much if not more bang for your dollar!
(3)Jay K.
All good all the time!
(4)James D.
The feta salsa was amazing, the vegetarian grape leaves were not so good and neither was the hummus. Average services, and reasonable prices. Four stars for the salsa alone.
(4)Jamie L.
By far my favorite place to eat when I am in town... My favorite is their junk salad, it's amazing! Stuffed grape leaves, hummus, it's all wonderful :)
(5)T.J. G.
Truly wish we had a Mediterranean Restaurant with this kind of quality and freshness in my own home town that served something beyond a Greek Salad and a Gyro. Great service, awesome quality, and wonderful atmosphere. This Michigander will DEFINITELY stop again!
(5)Philip Y.
Great sandwich selection!
(5)Patricia L.
I've only been here twice but each time I thoroughly enjoyed my food. Like eyes-closed-while-whispering-oh-my-goodness. First time: Dined in with a party of 4. Got the Original Gyro, Zingo style. It was one of those times when you plan to only eat half but end up devouring the entire thing before you actually make your decision. "Well...damn," she said to her empty plate. Second time: Ordered for takeout just before the dinner rush. Falafel sandwich with garlic sauce on the side per #smashtoledo's recommendation. Made it Zingo style and "pick a pair" with hummus and pita chips. Added the garlic sauce and hummus for every bite. I wish they had fries. Because fries would've gone right in there too. Another time when I planned to just eat half. Oh and they have baklava! It was a small piece for $3 but it was very tasty and made just how I like it. Not too sweet, extra crispy. I love this place! Definitely want to try more and more so I'm all yours if you have any other recommendations.
(5)Peg G.
The food here is great, and very reasonably priced, but the place seems to be run by teenagers. I've never seen anyone over the age of 21 behind the counter. Some do a great job, but others not really. (For example, forgetting plates then bringing 3 for a party of 4, or being stingy with refills, or acting put out when you interrupt the fun to order something.) These are the only reasons I didn't give it 5 stars. But I repeat: the food is great and the prices are too.
(4)Laurie S.
This place is addicting...salads are to die for especially the Junk and Falafal..love their pick 2...and the Zingos style on their sandwiches...cool atmosphere, lots of juices and smoothies and their red lentil soup is my favorite. I could eat here almost weekly and there are always yummy seasonal items as well..worth the stop!! Kid friendly, date night (no alcohol), great lunch stop!!
(5)Dan C.
Excellent Food, not just for the price. I wish there was one close to home! Ok, you stand in a line to order as there is no table service, but it is worth it. GYRO and Junk Salad are worthy.
(5)Jillian F.
Zingo's is a solid lunch spot. I've only tried the Mediterranean Junk Salad but it's too good to try anything else. It has gyro meat, chicken and a variety of vegetables. It's extremely filling too. My husband always gets the gyro Zingo's style and he likes it except they don't serve French Fries. It's one of the best salads I've tried in Toledo!
(5)Annie J.
We were so happy when we found Zingo's! Driving across the country on I-80, there simply aren't very many healthy, fresh, non-chain options. If you're not staying in Perrysburg (like we were), Zingo's is a little bit of a detour from the highway, but still worth it. We had the chicken gyro and the shish kabob sandwich. Both were great! I wasn't the biggest fan of their pita bread, which was pretty dry and not soft enough, but considering it's Ohio, I thought this place was awesome. Also, as others have mentioned, downtown Perrysburg is super cute. It's worth getting your food to go so you can check out the park nearby as well as the lovely Commodore Perry monument.
(4)Pat W.
I love eating here, its a great environment and the food is good. They have a special where you get a side like hummos and a main like a gyro. You have to tell them the special or you may not get it though if the person isn't trained.... I usually get the hommos and a gyro and find it is the best thing they have of the food I have tried this far. People tend to be a little dressier or stylish and it adds a nice feel.
(4)Julianna C.
Love the atmosphere. Very welcoming! The workers are very friendly. The food is delicious. Definitely will come back!
(4)Brad B.
Mediterranean Junk Salad is in the top 5 salads in Toledo.
(5)Shawna B.
One of my favorite local restaurants! The food is fantastic. The atmosphere is casual and fun, there is always a crowd. Try the junk salad or the Greek chicken wrap, get it Zingo style ( the wrap is grilled ). The grape leaves are also to die for.
(5)Rachel B.
We spent a lovely rainy day at Zingo's! We enjoyed the hummus, the grape leaves, junk salad, falafel, and yummy smoothies! I need to go back again there is so much left to try.
(5)Donna F.
This is a great lunchtime gathering spot with outstanding and healthy food!
(5)Partha A.
Driving through Ohio and was hungry and yelp led me to this place. By the lake/rievr whatever that is. Easy parking. Had the junk salad. Comes with gyro meet and kebab'd chicken pieces. Oer bed of greens, radish, chickpeas, feta and a side of red wine vinegar infused tahini dressing. It was okay. I don't know if I would come back for that. But seems like they have locally sourced their ingredients. so, wudn't look down the nose. But i did love the baklava. it was a large piece. firm. did not break open into throusand flakes when cut through. that means, it was well made.
(3)Annie C.
Great food, have been several times. Normally get the falafel sandwich (zingo style) with a piece of baklava. Both were delicious. Staff has always been pleasant. Easy to order and pick up, or enjoy on the patio if it's a nice day.
(5)Jerry L.
I have Traveled the World and my meal at Zingo was one of the tastiest and best meals that I have ever had. I have been in the Restaurant business for 40 years. Thanks for the treat! We live in Ohio but have a home in Michigan. We now have a stopping point between the two, Zingo! Zingo is a well kept secret. The secret is out for my wife and I,so we will be visiting often.
(5)Bob T.
Junk salad is delicious. Sitting outside in the historic section of town is pleasant and relaxing. This is a great alternative to the fast food and themed restaurant offerings in the commercial sections of town.
(5)Phoebe B.
My first meal at Zingo's was so delicious that it prompted me to finally dredge up my first review on Yelp. My husband and I ordered the pricier Mediterranean Junk Salad, and were pleased that staff were not the least bit offended when we suggested that we split the meal - they even offered us extra plates with a smile. The salad was indeed quite large, and we were able to share the meal comfortably. All of the ingredients appeared to be very fresh, and were full of flavor; sparkling water made for a delightful pairing. My guy is a notorious meat and potatoes man, and so I am thrilled that we have discovered a salad that he enjoys. I have never seen him so delighted to lap up chickpeas, radishes, and ruby red peppers. The interior was earthy, quaint, and eclectic, and they appeared to have a decent amount of seating in and outside of the building. The place was hoppin' for a Saturday afternoon around 2 PM; I imagine that seating in colder months is limited. Colder months or warm, I can't wait to visit Zingo's again.
(4)Ramsey C.
Zingo's is my family's favorite restaurant in Perrysburg. My relatives from out of town always request Zingo's when they visit because the food and service are outstanding. My family has been eating at Zingos for years and they always have fresh food, local items when possible and the quality has never waivered - always the best! If you are visiting Perrysburg give it a try. You won't be disappointed!
(5)Amy R.
Loved the kebabs! Will stop by again on our way home to Michigan! We shared a veggie and a beef kebab. Loved the smoothie too.
(5)Jacob S.
They make your juice to order. Hooking it up on the vitamin tip. Get the salad with all the stuff in it ("junk" I think the salad is called). Not healthy but it is in salad form.
(5)Vicki S.
Love love this place! Food is always fresh and amazing. Service is always given with a smile. If you are taking someone for an hour lunch - skip the fast food chains. This is the place. But get there before noon, the seats fill up fast. My favorite is the Chicken in the zingo's wrap, and the greek salad. Yum!
(5)Gregory P.
Loved this little place. Thanks to yelp for helping me find this place, which is about 8 min off I-80. I got the Chicken Tawook and it was outstanding with its mediterranean spices. It was the sort of meal that I would get once per week for takeout for lunch if I actually lived in the area. My girlfriend got a greek salad and said it was excellent too. Most likely the best restaurant in town.
(5)Miriam W.
What a treat to find a healthy and delicious alternative to the fast food crap that usually greets us while traveling along I 80. I'm often flummoxed driving through this area by the lack of quality eats...and I'm here so often during lunch time! Even with the help of my handy Yelp app, I have, time and again, chosen what I thought was going to be a decent meal, only to be disappointed. Today we ventured a little further afield, and drove about 5 miles off of the highway into the picturesque village of Perrysburg. The Yelpers got it right this time, and we had a quick and delightful meal before heading back out on the road. Vegetarians and omnivores alike will find much to enjoy on this menu of Middle Eastern and Mediterranean plates. I had the Mediterranean Junk Salad, minus the gyro meat. This is the salad that I would make if I was to put everything I like best on one plate. The tahini dressing was perfect with the other ingredients, and the salad greens and veggies were just as fresh as they could be. They cube the chicken before grilling it, and it was cooked perfectly. Service is fast and friendly, and they have outdoor seating during the warmer months. People are calling this salad pricey, and maybe it is for this neck of the woods, but not in my book...not for what you get. I will return and try more.
(4)R L.
Been to some of the best Greek/middle eastern places in the region. Great menu and crazy in love w spinach pie sandwich. Not a fast food place So give time for lunch. Need more help and could be loosing some folks on prices but lunch special the other day w red lentil soup gave me a healthy /satisfied feeling. Humus needs some kick and some cheap sandwich choices- falafel can't be more than 5 bucks.
(4)Mike M.
Zingo's really is fantastic, it surprises me that do not carry a 5 star rating! Last night I broke away from my usual Original Gyro and got the Mediterranean Junk Salad. Let me tell you, it was the best salad I have ever eaten. Great food, very reasonable prices, nice staff and a great selection of Mediterranean favorites! If you haven't had the chance to try Zingo's out... I strongly suggest you do!
(5)Stephanie S.
The lentil soup is the best in the Toledo area. I am obsessed with it. Also, being a vegan can be difficult in this area but it is never a problem at Zingo's! They have Vegan Chocolate Cupcakes that are to die for! Congrats Zingo's for being one of a kind and fantastic!
(5)M H.
I tried Zingos for the first time and had the Veggie Pita. I was very satisfied. It was tasty and very fresh. Nice location, great service. I'll be back.
(5)Krissy H.
Omg Yum! Loved this place. We tried a little of everything and I wish I wasn't road tripping when I ate here because I have been craving it ever since and wish it was in my own town! Vegan Cupcake so good. Not a ton of seating because it gets crowded but we went across the street and ate at the beautiful memorial overlooking the water.
(5)J L.
This place is always clean and staff is always nice! I love their food and its quite cheap. Vegan cupcakes are the best. Will def come back!!
(5)Anne M.
This is a great little find in Perrysburg. So good we had lunch here 2 of the 4 days we were in town. Soups are fantastic, I've never seen so much feta cheese on a Greek salad, and the hummus was delicious with a very generous serving. The staff was friendly, and I was thrilled to find Coke here - so many times restaurants that serve healthier food disdain the "real thing" for boutique sodas that don't interest me at all. Jet lag left me really needing a caffeine fix!
(5)Dan C.
My wife and I love this place. The Junk Salad is pricey but excellent. I absolutely love their chicken rice soup. I have had their gyros regular and Zingo style. I prefer the regular pita; Zingo style has a much thinner wrap and is grilled, but it is not worth the extra dollar. The place is small and can fill up fast. Ordering sometimes is a chore depending on the line. Their grape leaves are quite good.
(4)Emily D.
Zingo's is absolutely my favorite place for lunch. I have worked in the Perrysburg area for almost 2 years now, and I can tell you we make weekly trips in the warmer months. My absolute favorite is the pick a pair with the chicken gyro Zingo style and the Greek salad. YUM. Another favorite is the apricot chicken salad. Any place that can make a salad fast with fresh, high-quality ingredients is on my list. You will never find iceberg lettuce or a soggy plate of romaine lettuce here. And really if you get a gyro, get it Zingo style! They also have good desserts, fresh juice, and milkshakes. Just an all-around awesome place.

I've probably been here at least five times now if not more. Our normal dining companions (not to imply they're normal, I just mean that when we eat out it is normally with them) . I didn't write a review until now as while the food has always been good, something just bothered me about this place. Their space is small, not many tables, and when you walk in it most often seems as though you're not going to be able to get to sit down for all the tables being taken. But every time while you may have to stand and wait a few minutes, a table has opened up and we have always gotten to sit. Plus they seem to be understaffed. They are normally crowded and are kept hopping to keep up with things. This last time I felt sorry for the lone girl who worked the front as she has to take all the orders, bring nearly all the food out to tables, and bus the tables. To her credit she never slowed and worked very diligently. I felt bad about not leaving a bigger tip when I paid my bill on ordering. If I knew her name I would list it her. She has blonde hair. But the food! It is more of a yuppie place, modern, not traditional, and they have made very good decisions about the type of food they serve. Their gyro is my favorite gyro, and it's not that they have the best meat or the best ingredients, though they are excellent. I get the gyro "zingo" style which I guess is one the gyro is made up in the pita, it is grilled. The overall effect is that the gyro stays together well in a cylindrical form. Unlike most place where you get bites which are all meat, some with no meat, Zingo's maintains a balance of the various ingredients which makes it much more satisfying. And too, their portions are large enough to fill me up. This is one of the few places where I like the hummus. The place is extremely consistent in everything too.
(4)Susie J.
Ordered original gyro 'zingo' style- wrapped in a crisp super thin pita (almost like a flaky tortilla but def a pita in taste).. Was lovely. Meat was tender and cooked perfect- not gamey or greasy. Very happy.
(4)Andy C.
Driving through town and found this place on Yelp. I have to say this place is fantastic! We had the original gyros and the sampler side. The hummus was the best we have ever had. Prices are very reasonable. We highly recommend it.
(5)Nathan S.
Coming from California to this off-the-street eatery on a recent trip, I can say that I enjoyed Zingo's emensely. Quick service, and just a nice hangout. The portions were just right, serving you humus and crispy pita triangles to dip them in. I had the Feta Chicken entree. It was delicious served on top a bed of couscous and everything was seered just right. (Out here in California, its easier to give you white rice along with your entree...bleh) The girl working the counter was a little robotic and cold, compared to a lot of Ohio's good-natured workers, but once we got the food, I could've cared less. The environment's nice inside...almost like a coffee house with wooden floors and neutral colors all around. Very new-school Ohio. And I was impressed with this section of Ohio. It seemed very upscale while having their downhome shops still open. I would eat there again definitely.
(4)Megan W.
Awesome little place! I got a side of hummus and pita chips and a huge greek salad for only a little over $8.00. Outside patio was really nice with the right weather. Didn't try a smoothie but they had fun flavors like pb&j. Definitely will be coming back!
(5)Nancy N.
If you find yourself in Perrysburg, Ohio, I can't imagine what else what you would do with yourself. P.S. Finish with the vegan chocolate cupcake. It puts the "awesome" in "vegan."
(3)Mike S.
What a gem! I highly recommend everything from coffee to gyros to the carrot cake. My wife would eat Zingos everyday
(5)K S.
Excellent food and service! I was tired from a long day at work and really didn't feel like going out to eat.... But I'm so glad I decided to try this place out! I'll definitely go back. Friendly staff there as well. The vegan chocolate cake was okay, I had better. Perrysburg downtown was quite nice too!
(5)Ellen T.
Found this on Yelp. We had a great meal -- two kabob entrees for $30, plus a salad. A Yelp coupon for a free dessert -- baklava for us -- rounded out the meal. Everything was delicious! And we had plenty to take for tomorrow's lunch.
(5)Boo S.
Was staying at the Courtyard off of 75, where Yelp only noted the Cracker Barrel and Denny's (and gave each 4 stars- OMG!). Asked at the desk, where they suggested driving into historic Perrysberg. Saw Zingo's, which caught my eye, despite heading towards the restaurant next door. So glad we came here instead!! Food was fresh, inventive, and incredibly tasty! Smoothies, coffee drinks, salads, sandwiches, and the biggest cookies. I had the almond rice salad, which was quite good; daughter had spinach pie zing, which was phenomenal!! Spanikopita filling in a toasted pita- amazing!!! Friendly, helpful staff, too. Worth going out of the way to stop here!!!!!!

We had never even heard of Perrysburg prior to our trip from PA to Chicago/Milwaukee. Needless to say, the interstate hotel ambiance left little to desire. When asked for local eats we were referred to nearby Chili's, Cracker Barrel and/or Bob Evans. Luckily, yelp was to the rescue and based off the reviews and our desire to eat something with green coloration in our dinner, we found Zingo's. Perfect meal in perfect location. Sat outside in hi-top table. Junk salad was a meal in itself and the dressing (served on the side) was perfect accompaniment. Something about gyro meat that makes me remember why the whole vegetarian thing never stuck. We had the shish kebob and the "insert cultural mediterranean name for beef kabob" which was way more than we both could eat. They were well seasoned and prepared. Only issue was a little dry (I usually find them that way in most places) but yogurt sauce for dipping (had to ask) worked well. The best part by far was the Baklava dessert which we shared. I do not understand why this dessert is not served/offered at any dining establishment regardless of international influence. All in all, by the end of the meal we found ourselves discussing the idea of selling our home, moving out to Perrysburg and enjoying the thursday night farmer market scene and eating copious amounts of Mediterranean food.
(5)Kevin D.
The grape leaves were awesome, as was the hummus. I love getting the gyro Zingo style. The other thing I like are the smoothies. PB and J is the bomb. I wish I lived closer so I could go there more often.
(5)Nick H.
Zingo's is a great Mediterranian and independently owned eatery in downtown Perrysburg. Every time I visit the burg I have to make a stop at Zingo's to get their Original Gyro Zingo style and an order of hummus to go. Their Original Gyro is full of flavor and when you get it Zingo style the pits is grilled so it's crispy which is great. The hummus is homemade and has a ton of flavor as do their homemade pita chips. All in all great place to eat and maybe next time I will try something new but that Original Gyro is so darn good.
(4)Emma K.
Amazing chicken tawook. Also, pita chips were freshly baked, not greasy as you find at some Mediterranean places in the area.
(4)Tracey D.
One of the best gyros I have ever ate. Try the sampler appetizer. Delicious hummus and grape leaves. Highly recommend!
(5)ER D.
I think this is a little secret in Toledo! Of my 3 years in Toledo, this will be the restaurant I remember... I love their Gyro. I've came here for lunch, and the portion is decent, price is good, and the food is just amazing!!! My personal favorite is the cheeseburger gyro, it's got a very unique taste to it. The original is good, and so is the beef kabob. If you're stopping by Toledo, or if you are from Toledo, I highly recommend this place! I did go during the better half of the season (summer), so a very nice ambiance as well... I haven't tried in winter (maybe i wouldn't have rate 5 star then...)
(5)Mangomamma M.
Okay. We were not looking forward to ANY eating experience in the Bowling Green/Perrysburg Toledo area. Being from Chicago where there are the most per capita James Beard awardee chefs and internationally renown restaurants, we had tempered our hopes of having any good food during our brief stay in Ohio. We thought we could survive on a diet of Bob Evans and Friendly's for a couple of days....Well we couldn't hold out. We are STILL talking about this place! WOW!!! Can they put the desserts on special on-line order? The best baklava we've EVER tasted??? Better than Greek town in Chicago???The skordalia was so creamy, our relatives swore it was garlic butter? **That there is butter!** NO It's potatoes. WTF? POTATOES??**** NOOOOoooo..... It tastes like butter?!! What kind of Potato is that? Some kind of special Greek potato?*** Meat so tender and marinated with just the right spices and not over charred? Organic all you drink free-trade coffee with organic cream? I think we went hog-wild and ordered about 130.00 dollars worth of food for 7 adults. We were left packing up boxes for days of leftovers. Please. Someone needs to call the food channel and put this place on the map! Diners Drive-ins and Dives??? These people are on the money! The only thing they need to improve is their pita bread. It's not bad, but the other food is so incredible, that their mediocre pita could detract from the other wonderful things. Also their online web-site gives the food no justice. In the meantime, I think I will be begging this place to send me their vegan chocolate cupcakes and baklava in the mail. I HATE vegan food. However, you would have had to beat me within an inch of life to convince me that I was devouring a vegan chocolate cupcake. Kudos to Zingo's!
(5)Andria J.
The Junk Salad is AMAZING! This is not your average salad - tons of great toppings, wonderful dressing and you are left completely satisfied when you are done. For anyone wanting a good gyro, you may want to try another eatery. The gyro meat is great, but the sauce leaves much to be desired. If you are used to good, authentic gyros, you will be disappointed. The atmosphere is nice. The music and decor are relaxing, although Rasta music in a Mediterranean restaurant do not exactly "match". It can get very loud for lunch, so if you are needing a place to discuss business, this may not be for you. However, if you are looking for a place to catch up with friends, your needs will be met. Unfortunately, the employees still do not make you feel welcome. I frequent Zingo's about once a week, and never have I been greeted with a smile or made to feel welcome. If you really make the effort to get the employees to open up, some will, but it is still a very forced, dry and uncomfortable. I think the dining experience would be much nicer if it was more than the music that made it feel warm in the small restaurant. Normally, I would not go back to a place that made me feel like I was a bother, but the Junk Salad is worth it. . . for now.
(3)Stephanie K.
One of favorite places to go....healthy, reasonable prices, quick service. The employees are very friendly too. I love the combo plate in the appetizer section. It has all of my favorites- hummus, grape leaves (they make amazzzzzing grape leaves), and tabouli. They also have a kids menu. :)
(5)Michelle M.
We LOVE this place. The food is fresh, delicious and original. Yes, the Junk salad is a little pricey-but it is full of everything ( I like it with a side of the garlic sauce.) Vegetarians, vegans and meat eaters will be happy here.
(5)Christine B.
Zingos is my go-to for a satisfying and healthy food. The salads here are great (and include a rotating seasonal salad), as well as Gyros. I'm not a hummus expert, but I've never regretted getting some to go with my meal. One of the main reasons I like Zingos is because it is a unique little place in an area where unique can be difficult to come by.
(5)Sam H.
I was recently visiting family for a few days in Perrysburg, and after my first trip to Zingo's I kept suggesting we go back. An hour to kill? "Let's go to Zingo's". Feeling a little unwell and needing something healthy? "Let's go to Zingo's". And so on. The salads are killer, especially the Junk Salad, which seems to be a rip-off of Grumpy's amazing Garbage Salad, but I won't dock points for trying to ride the coattails of a Toledo institution. The vegetable juices are made to order and really make you feel good!
(5)Lesley S.
Great food and smoothies! They have some unique entrees that are mediterranean-based, but better (in my opinion) than super traditional options. My favorite is the feta chicken dish! The smoothies are really good too, and nothing is super expensive.
(5)Sabrina G.
I'm not changing the rating based on the food and vibe of the place, but want to warn people about their shakes. As much as I like their smoothies, I dislike their shakes. Recently, we have been stopping by after a meal at other establishments to get a smoothie and/or coffee. This particular evening, we both ordered shakes. I had the chocolate peanut butter and my spouse had raspberry. Neither were very good. The warning is they are not typical shakes made with ice cream - they make them in the smoothie machine and use milk and finely crushed ice, which gave it an odd texture compared to the normal, creamy texture of an ice cream shake. Also, the flavor was not very good. My spouse said the raspberry flavor was weak, like it needed more of the mix. We will be sticking to the smoothies and coffee drinks.
(4)Kala T.
Great food, but they only had one waitress /server handling the whole place on a Saturday night. As a result it took a long time to order and get the food. Unacceptable.
(3)Will A.
Excellent place. That's all that really needs to be said
(5)C G.
Great place. We go there often. Kid friendly to a certain degree - they have high chairs, but no changing table. At least in the men's room. Clean. Pleasant music. Great food. Always tastes fresh. Junk salad has everything you can imagine in it. And the "zingo style" wraps are very tasty. My favourites are the chicken tawook entree and the lentil soup. 2 suggestions to the owners: Website out of date and no e-mail contact listed. You can definitely find better feta in Toledo for your salads. I suggest bulgarian sheep feta from Toledo Market, from the arabic market on reynolds and dorr, or even better, you can buy it online cheaper if you get large quantities. I am sure your junk salad would taste even better. The cheese is the only disappointment on that plate: it is very dry.
(5)Brandee P.
Amazing fresh and healthy. Love the veggie pita and veggie trio. They are willing to add whatever one wants to make the perfect meal. If you really want to treat yourself the vegan chocolate cupcake is to die for. Don't let vegan scare you, you would never know its anything other than amazing.
(5)Joboyxxiii K.
Great humus and meat grape leaves. Portions more than generous. Kabob sampler feeds two easy and is very tasty. Definitely fresh ingredients. Very good baklava. Go and enjoy this little surprise.
(4)Erin O.
Fantastic food, very vegetarian friendly. Hummus was good too.
(4)Heather Z.
I like Zingo's. I really do. They serve well-prepared standard Mediterranean fare in a charming environment, close to home. Plus, getting carry out here is quick and healthy, which is a great thing for busy, busy me. Zingo's also has yummy smoothies and a juice bar. One of their juices is called the "floo fighter" and it's a gingery-lemony concoction that really knocks the germs out of ya. I watched them make it last time, and they just stick entire lemons and pieces of ginger in the juicer and serve it up. No preservatives there! They also have fresh wheat-grass available for you uber-healthy shot-takers. I don't, however, enjoy being treated like I am a nuisance when I approach the counter to place my order. The employee's at Zingo's consistently seem to have a chip on their shoulders. No matter who I deal with, what time of day it is, what the weather's like, or the current political situation, they are never friendly or warm. They consistently act as if they have much more interesting things to be doing than to make my tea and put my food order in. Is it that hard to smile, be somewhat charming, and possible make witty banter?? Maybe they hate the reggae that's always playing in there. It makes me wanna dance....
(3)Jon M.
Secret Perrysburg treasure. Locally owned. Amazing Greek food is made with care and a gourmet flair. Best lunch spot in town.
(5)Abby P.
I come to visit my family (First Solar Transplants) from California really frequently...and I freaking love Zingos. I've only been there a few times, but it's definitely a stop when i visit Perrysburg. Fantastic! I love lamb...and falafels...and Greek food. Service is the only downside, though quick, they have never been at all inviting when I've visited. Aside from that, definitely recommend.
(4)Monica S.
I ordered the most basic gyro here along with a delicious mango smoothie. The portions were fair for the price, and you get a side of hummus and pita with your meal. The quality of the ingredients wasn't totally amazing, but pretty similar to any Daphne's around. Mango smoothie was delicious by the way, but I don't know if I'd pay $4+ again for it. The service was great and the staff was friendly, I'd definitely stop by again.
(3)N M.
This it the first Mediterranean/Arabic restaurant I've ever been to that was not operated by Mediterranean/Arabic people. Although a lot of "traditional" sandwiches and dishes are on the menu, there are also some unique "Americanized" renditions using traditional ingredients. The hummus is very good, the pita chips were very fresh. I had a tawook that was to be expected, the lady had the feta cous-cous that was really good. Seating seems limited, and carry-out may be just as good as dining inside.
(4)Carol P.
Great food, great setting...service needs to step up their act and they would have gotten 5 stars. The wait staff collectively could be called the Bickersons. They are either complaining about or commiserating with each other about their lot in life or somebody done me wrong existance. Good fodder for a country song. To truely have a delightful experience, order then sit outside. The food will taunt you too come back. Yum!
(4)Maddi G.
(5)Eric Y.
(3)Mike P.
And perfect on your waistline. ;)
(4)Bri Y.
(5)Nk C.
(4)Cha M.

(5)Philip Y.
Great sandwich selection!

Yum!
