Cheap = 1 star Crust was NOT greasy = 2nd star This pizza was just a circle of dough with sparse toppings. There was some dude sitting in front of the door at a table soliciting for church donations. The pizza was so flavorless and lacking of toppings that I added stuff from the fridge. That didn't help so I dumped hot sauce all over it.

We stopped here on our way home from Columbus. I have to say I don't recognize the place from the reviews I read because we had excellent and attentive service and the food was exactly as we wanted. We ordered the spinach rondos (would have done half spinach and half pepperoni if they'd have let us, but they won't which is kind of dumb) and a pizza to share. Everything was just as we have had at other LaRosa's locations, which is to say it was very good. Our server was back often to check on us and refill drinks. Other staff were either serving a large group next to us or cleaning the dining room. Overall we are again pleased with our LaRosa's experience and feel that their brand is well-represented.

Always a joy to eat at, very clean. Mallory was a joy to have as a server! My wife and I love the pizza here, worth the 40min drive!!!

Don't do it!! If you'd like to waste your money, just set it on fire. You'll probably get more enjoyment of the pretty flame than the food and service at Larosa's. I opted for delivery and after I waited 70 minutes, my food arrived cold. Although, I don't think that it would have been much better if it was hot. Just awful food and service. There are plenty of other pizza joints that want your money. My suggestion is to go elsewhere.

We ate here twice. Ordered out and eat in. Eat in was good and food service was also nice. Larger group 10 people and served in time. Wings and barbecue pizza was good but not impressive. Ordered out once and had pepperoni but didn't care for the marinara sauce. Would return but only if invited, wouldn't go out of my way or pick to go.

Ate at this larosas 2/4/2012. Seated quickly and drinks and orders were taken in an ordinary time frame. We waited 45 minutes for our food. The lasagna tasted alright, while the manicotti was overcooked. Waited another 30 minutes for the check while our waitress was complaining to everyone that the manager told her to hurry up. Won't be going back to this location.

Slow, smells, dirty, nasty, please fix wiping the seats and then wiping the table tops ( how nasty is that ). I would like to go in and get waited on in a timely manner.

We visited the LaRosa's off of Hoke Road on Fri. night 10/21/11 about 6:30 pm. It was one of the worst dining experiences we have ever had. Terrible service and sub standard food. The lobby was full of people when we walked in but this didn't surprise us being Fri. evening. But after waiting almost 45 min. for a table we understood why. No one was cleaning off the dirty tables as people left. From where we sat in the lobby we could see 4 or 5 tables or booths at any one time that could have been made available to the crowd waiting if they had been bused. There didn't seem to be any adult supervision of the mostly high school aged employees working that night. And these young people did not want to bus any tables and people were getting upset over the long wait. People asked the hostess over and over why tables weren't being cleaned off. She said they were busy and trying to get to them as fast as they could. She was the only one who seemed to be trying to clean tables and you could tell by the time it took to get one cleaned that her heart wasn't in the job. During our wait we watched at least 5 parties walk out over the long wait. Many other people came in and asked how long the wait would be and left after being told a half hour or more. The table next to where we were finally seated is a good example of how long these dirty tables sat while people were kept waiting in the lobby or walked out. When we sat down this table was full of dirty dishes. It took about 45 min. to order and eat and when we left this table still hadn't been cleaned. The hostess asked several other workers if they could help but got very little cooperation. A tall, kind of pudgy young man was the only male waiter we saw working the front area where we finally got a table. This lazy kid flat out refused to help clean off any tables when asked. We were there about 1 1/2 hours total and he didn't help clean a single table in that entire time. A young very skinny black girl was just as bad. She did move faster than any of the others. Almost on a dead run but as we watched her we realized she actually did very little work. We started calling her the NASCAR girl. She would stop at a dirty table stack a couple of glasses or plates then take off for a fast lap around the place. Then she would stop at another table, stack a few more glasses and then, ZOOM, off for another lap. She never finished cleaning a table the entire time we were there. This place needs a manager that can get things done and a bus person to work at nothing but cleaning off tables. Then there was the food. It definitely wasn't worth the wait which is unusual for LaRosa's. We ordered a large 3 topping pizza, an order of cheesy bread and 2 sodas. We got the cheesy bread first and it sucked! They had just thrown a handful of cheese in the center and hadn't spread it out. All the pieces around the edge didn't have a bit of cheese on them. Just sauce. Then the pizza came and it was just as disappointing. We had ordered pepperoni, mushrooms and green peppers. These had just been tossed on in piles and weren't spread out. The green peppers were only on one half of the pizza and we pointed this out to the waitress. She offered to have another made but we were starving by his time and just wanted to eat and get out of there. And the waitress was nothing to brag about. She dropped off the pizza and then disappeared until time for the check. We both needed refills on our sodas part way through the meal but didn't get them. We will never ever set foot in this LaRosa's and we'll have to think real hard about whether we'll ever eat at any of your other locations. There are too many pizza places out there to put up with this crap. Someone from corporate needs to check this place out on the sly, pretend to be a regular customer, and see for yourself what a mess this place is. If something isn't done this store is really going to hurt LaRosa's reputation

I've since been contacted by LaRosa's--via this site, actually--regarding my review and asked to provide feedback again. I did so, but then decided to give LaRosa's another chance. This time, Jules and I ordered take-out--two calzones, an order of garlic bread, and an order of kitchen chips. Pretty simple, right? Despite arriving at the forecasted time for the pickup, I still spent about 10 minutes more waiting in the lobby, as our food wasn't ready. But, that 10 minutes gave me quite an insight into the way that LaRosa's Englewood is run. I'm not exactly sure what was going on, but the kitchen staff was roughhousing and loudly bantering back and forth--I'm sure they could be heard in the dining room, as I could hear them in the lobby. Something got dropped or slammed against the counter at one point, as well, causing a ruckus. Look, if you have time to sit around and play in the kitchen, at least have the decency to finish my calzone on time. The ONLY reason I haven't one-starred this place is that the food is actually fairly reasonable. It's passable Italian food, but it's just not worth the service mess to get it.

Came in for dinner on Friday night, we had to wait 15 minutes for a table with a lot of empty tables. Their WiFi doesn't work. Servers just walking around talking.

I worked for Larosa's for 3 and a half years, grew up in Cincinnati (where Larosa's runs in your veins) and eaten at A LOT of Larosa's locations. The Englewood Larosa's has the worst service (both carryout and dine-in) of any of the Larosa's locations I've ever worked at or eaten at. The average age of the people working there seems to be between 16 and 22. I hate to be party to simply blaming the horrible service and attitude on the age of the servers, I really do. I have worked with so many young people and have seen them be hard working, money making good employees so I know it's possible. I"m not sure if it's lack of strong management, lack of accountability for the work that is put out or that nobody really wants to make any money. After all, if you actually want to make tips, you put effort into the service you give. Every time I order carryout, no matter what time I arrive for my order, it takes 10-15 minutes for it to be ready. I'm usually standing there for 5 minutes before I'm greeted .Having worked in the restaurant industry for an extended period of time, simply saying "I'll be right with you" is enough if it's going to be awhile. Sometimes it's longer for dining in. Silverware is forgotten, drinks are left empty, servers "aren't told" that they have a table and so on and so forth. Please know that every time I've eaten there it was not busy. These are all problems that arise when the restaurant is dead. I did have one good server there and I am kicking myself that I can't remember his name because he was on the ball. There are 2 redeeming factors for Englewood Larosa's. Firstly, I've never had a bad delivery experience. The young people who have delivered the food have always been courteous, polite and friendly. They've all looked like they are actually enjoying their day. Secondly, I get the feeling that Englewood is not a corporate store, but rather a franchise. This is a plus in my opinion because they are not beholden to the horrifying cost cutting measures implemented in corporate stores. I've eaten at corporate stores and I've eaten at franchises. Franchises push out far better food. Regardless of the sub-par service the food is delicious. Probably because the managers aren't forced to water down every single thing in the kitchen to save money. Those tactics are not sustainable and I'm thankful for the tastiness of the actual product. If I were going on service alone I would give this a 1, but because of the food quality and delivery experience I will give it a 2.

Hubby and I came here for the first time today and was fairly happy with everything. Inside is nice looking and clean. We came for lunch, wasn't busy at all. Menu variety is good overall, pricing good and bad. Pizzas seem a tad bit mor pricey then other comparable restaurants. The dessert section really is lacking.. Disappointing actually. Would like more then just standard, cheesecake or lemon cake, Ect would be great. We ordered and watched as another guest was unhappy with his pizza, telling the manager it was over done. They did offer to remake it. We got our food within a reasonable time. Salads first. Very good, crisp, fresh and the blu cheese dressing was pretty good. Our main food was average and good. Spaghetti was done well, little to watery though but not terrible. The meatballs were perfect. Breadsticks were also good. We got fries also, which were a small portion considering the price and they were on the app section of the menu, they were to me a small side portion. They were good, but wasn't hot. Our service was average, waiter was nice but had 7 tables to take care of which caused him to not check back on us until we were finished eating. He was the only wait staff we seen. Overall, it was decent but not overly spectacular. We will return again and see how other menu options are but not rushing back right away.

I was in Dayton, OH at a hotel at the Engelwood exit for a family reunion. I looked up local pizza and decided to try LaRosa's as I had never heard of them and like to try new places that I don't have available at home. When I called I was met with an automated answering machine telling me to press 1 to place an order, maybe this is the norm here but I found it to be incredibly impersonal, does no one just pick up the phone and jot down an order any more? Anyways after waiting for five minutes a girl answered who was quite rude. I asked if they delivered as I had no idea what kind of pizzeria this was and she acted like it was the dumbest question in the world. After giving her my name and phone number she asked for the address, I told her it was at a hotel and gave her the street address and town, she then asked for verification on the zip code. I explained that I was from out of town so I was unsure of the zip and she told me she would have to transfer me to a supervisor to sort out the problem. A supervisor. Over a zip code. After waiting for two minutes I gave up and went with another pizza shop. Overall made ordering a pizza a complete nightmare. I have absolutely no interest in trying them any longer.

Best pizza. Best pasta. However, you have to ask for a twirling spoon for your spaghetti.

We were doing some house renovations and decided to order-out pizza for a working dinner. We ordered two pizzas: One medium "Big Four" and one medium pepperoni and sausage. It was good pizza. However, it was not $28 for two medium pizzas, good. [no drinks or extras, mind you] Sorry Charlie, not in this economy Next time we'll go somewhere a little more reasonably priced. If we wanted to spend that kind of deniro, we'd go to a sit down meal.

We were seated quickly and our waitress was attentive without being annoying. Everything arrived in good time and was hot and tasty, as usual. I always order a Calzone, and both the fries and the kitchen chips are tasty sides. Last time we also ordered the Rondos. YUM.
