I come here all the time and the food is always delicious! Their Chicken Tikka Masala is sooo good. And if you're a dessert junkie like me...try the Gulab Jamun. It's HEAVENLY. They let you take to go boxes from the buffet--its by the pound based on what kind of food you get (meat or no meat, etc.) and it's very affordable!

First time at the new location on Fulton. It seemed very strange to eating with so many people. I kind of miss the small space charm of the old location. The new place lacks some ambience factor that I can't put my finger on :-(. The buffet is a more spacious. How couldn't be from the old place? Lots of variety with lots of options for the vegans and meat eaters and a few new things. I really enjoyed the spicy cauliflower and the GOAT meat. Yep, I have eaten a lot of strange things but somehow missed goat in all my travels. This was a first for me and I have say it was pretty tasty over the rice. And the quirky hostess / waitress is still there.....

This is one of my places in the entire state of Ohio. My wife and I normally go here for lunch after church, we've been going to years, and we have never been disappointed. Unless of course you can be disappointed in yourself for eating too much, but if it's guaranteed to be the best food you have going out that week then there's nothing to feel bad about at all :) They also do a very good job of keeping fresh food flowing during the buffet hours, which is the best time to go because they have so much good food that you need to try it all. Also the staff is among the friendliest I've encountered anywhere.

i've been to Bombay Sitar a few times in the past but this was my first visit to the "new" location. Danielle and i stopped in for the Saturday lunch buffet. The food, as usual, was very good. my only problem is that we got there at 2pm. the buffet ends at 3pm. there was no tandoori chicken left in the buffet - save for about 3 small nuggets lost among the remaining litter of onions and peppers. i grabbed one of the nuggets and gave another to Danielle to try. it's one of my favorite things at the buffet and she loved it too. i just wish they'd refilled it during that hour. plenty of people were still in the restaurant and most were walking by that pan and looking around hoping more would fall out of the sky. since this was Danielle's first visit she was a little thrown by the spice in many of the dishes. even ones not labeled as spicy had a bit more kick than she expected. and to be honest, it's been a while for me and i had to reacquaint myself with the kick of the vegetable korma, etc. although, i did enjoy the spicy cauliflower dish (don't remember the name) and Danielle liked the eggplant dish which she said was also quite spicy as well.

I'm a huge fan of Indian cuisine. This restaurant is perhaps as authentic as you get here in Ohio, aesthetic is not their main concern, but the Indian flavors! You can order a-la-carte at night, or come during their Buffet hours where you get a chance to try as-much-as-you-can/wish. I highly recommend this place, if you want to try variety of Indian food. You also get unlimited supplies of Rose/Mango lassi drink. You'll be full of course! Just beware, Indian cuisine is delicious, because it uses GHEE (or clarified butter), if you eat too much, you may have adverse effects such as sleepiness and feeling lethargic. You'll experience that anyways with any type of large consumption of any cuisine. Give this place a try! I would come back here for my indian cravings anyday!! They also just moved to a newer location!! I guess their food is BOMDIZZLE!!!

We were visiting from out of town and went with a large group to their new location. We arrived right at opening and had to wait a few minutes for them to put a table together. The environment was pretty normal for an Indian buffet. Nothing was very high quality but there was a ton of food. I was a bit dissapointed that everything seemed to have a bit of spice which meant I couldn't serve much to my kids but rice and Naan. As far as Indian food goes, it was average. I was satisfied when I left, but not sure I would return often if I lived in town.

My family really likes this place. The lunch buffet is great though almost everything is fairly spicy on the buffet which is good for me but not so great for the kids. At dinner you can order off the menu and specify the spice level which works out better with the kids. We got take out from here once and that was great too.

No lengthy review needed. This place is simply the best Indian food in the area. I've had half the menu and have yet to be disappointed!

We just visited this new location and were impressed with the spacious stand alone building and ample parking space available. The food is just as delicious and the service was just as efficient and pleasant. We ordered an appetizer of vegetable pakora which was served very quickly. The pieces were hot off the fryer, crispy on the outside and very tasty overall. Our entrees, fish vindaloo and goat masala, came to our table next with a large dish of basmati rice. (Hint : pick out the cloves so that you don't bite into them) The dishes were spiced correctly, and tasted fresh. The fish vindaloo consisted of large cubes of salmon and a few potatoes in a delicious vindaloo sauce. The salmon was perfectly cooked, not overdone or mushy. The goat (bone-in) masala came in a thick sauce which is less tart but just as deep in flavor. Both entrees were thoroughly enjoyed and highly recommended! For dessert, I ordered their mango yogurt item. If you enjoy the taste of mango, you'll love this. It's not overly sweet but creamy with an intense mango flavor. It was the perfect way to finish off a wonderful dinner. Next, we're going back to try their lunch buffet. From the display of the steam/cold tables, the variety of items they offer on their lunch only buffet is quite large and we're looking forward to trying it all.

Delicious buffet for lunch. It gives you lots of options to try various dishes. The price is very reasonable and the food is wonderful. I'll be back again for more.

I love this place! Best Indian food in the Akron- Canton area! They're friendly & there's a wide variety of dishes in the lunch buffet. They have typically northern Indian-inspired curries/entrees. Although I wish they would go back to their original dahi vada recipe (before the move), there's nothing else I can complain about-- except perhaps I wish they would start making idlis w/ coconut chutney w/ their yummy sambar! My mom, sister and I love to go there for the weekend as much as we can.

I have not been to many indian restaurants, but I have always been impressed with Bombay Sitar. I have only had one experience at the new location, but let me assure you its the same quality stuff. Super complex spices and flavors that you think of when you imagine your indian style meal. The dinners here are better than the lunch buffet, but that is no surprise. I love the spicy heat that is a staple in the dinner entrees, but significantly less in the buffet options. However, thats not to say the buffet isn't good - its probably the best overall buffet in town. Awesome options made very well and only for $10. This new location also is set up MUCH better for a buffet than the previous location. Congrats Bombay Sitar, continue hitting it out of the park.

Probably my favorite indian restaurant in the NE Ohio area. The dishes were above average for the most part, and have always had takeout. My go-to dish (rogan josh) was one of the better ones I've had, probably the best in this area. Not amazing (no five stars), but again very good for this area given the other options (still above average compared to others I've had in other parts of the U.S.). If you are new to indian food, follow this rule of thumb for spiciness: always use one level lower than you think you are capable of. I heard this works for my bland brothers, though I found the food here myself to be a little spicier than other indian restaurants. Also, if you are lost when it comes to indian food names, try the lunch buffet and take notes on the ones you like.

I am originally from Bombay (India) and I must say this place reminded me of the cuisine from my motherland! I am have been to quite a few Indian buffets around US, but this by far is one of the best offering (saturday buffet). This is what we call as a 'daavat' (feast) and that too at an economical price. The reason I rate this venue so high is both because of the quality as well as the number of dishes offered in the buffet. The finesse of the food combined with the kind-and-dressed-in-traditional Indian-outifts employees makes it a restaurant which should be in every foodie's list. From an Indian to anyone who wants to try/savour Indian food, this is the place to dine in!

If you want to try Indian food around this area, this is the best place. Very delicious food and pleasant service with friendly staff. And definitely must try out chef special kulfi.

Came here for the buffet lunch. Although the food does have Indian flavors, they are not what I'd hoped for. I was in Mumbai about two years ago. The flavors there were much stronger. Here, a bit bland. The heat was also lacking. In India, heat for flavor was abundant. That's almost completely missing at this restaurant. Fair variety including vegetarian items. If you want Indian flavor but little or no heat, give it a try. Otherwise, you'll be disappointed.

Perfection, as always. This is the best Indian food I've ever had. The food has great flavors that are just as delicious the next day. We always get two entrées each to make sure there's enough for a two (sometimes even three!) day experience of yumminess.

The trek from Kent to Canton is totally worth it if at the end I get to eat at Bombay Sitar! A friend of mine mentioned their expansive lunch buffet and after being disappointed at the meager selection in our neck of the woods I thought it was worth a try. With 3 full size buffet tables and an area with mango lassi AND masala tea, I can definitely say this place is amazing! Great meat and vegetarian selections, samosas, naan, yogurts, and even dessert. I've been there 3 (4?5? I'm losing count here) times and every time the quality, both of food and service, has been exceptional. Now, I probably wouldn't drive all the way out there for their dinner menu (I'm sticking to Hudson for that!) But if I'm in the mood for a gluttonous lunch, you can probably find me hovering over at the vegetable biryani at Bombay Sitar.

the new location is very nice! much more room! but here's a cut 'n paste of my review for the old spot, menu is the same and same good food! i still forget the names of things there, so i really like to go during he buffet and try them all and try and get their names straight. thats been going on for four years. memory uptake has been slow, but oh well. its good food. and lots of it on the buffet. try a few things and figure out what you like. honestly i know what the stuff i like LOOKS like, but not so much the name sometimes.... when ordering off the menu, i like getting my food indian hot. like blazing hot. sometimes they wimp it down :( and other times they get it right :) atmosphere is quiet chatting most of the time. its kid friendly and rarely have to wait for a table. they have a small beer and wine selection. employees are VERY friendly and helpful if you want something but arent sure of the name, they can help you figure it out.

Absolutely wonderful food! It is delicious, authenic and very well priced! Besides the delicious food the service was outstanding! Our first visit there we had a party of 8, they didn't open till 5 but they let us in a half hour early. I have already recommended Bombay Sitar to friends and i can't wait to go back. Great experience!

A friend and I recently came to this Indian restaurant after fairly good reviews from other friends. What we found left a lot to be desired. Service was slow from walk-in to walk-out. The prices seemed average until you got the food. The portion size was incredibly small considering the price. I had a chicken curry with the equivalent of a single chicken breast for over 10bucks. Both i and my colleague ordered naan. Each order of naan consisted of a single slice of naan cut into quarters for the price of what at other restaurants would consist of several whole slices of naan. The price was ridiculous. This is a point i made very clear on our way out that while the quality was good there was absolutely no excuse for skimping in the way they did. There was a little self-justification amongst ourselves as a solo dining Indian guest across from us insisted his meal was not properly cooked according to traditional preparation. Both of us laughed a little about that. We will not be returning.

amazing buffet - the day we went they had 4 chicken dishes and 5 vegetarian dishes

probably the most authentic tasting indian I've had since living in manhattan. worth the drive from Akron anytime. had the samosas, tandoori appetizer, saag paneer, chicken tikka masala, Lobster tikka Masala (was amazing), Garlic Naan, and a few house specialty drinks featuring mango juice. would have gotten even more love, but the coupon i saved on my phone was not accepted...i don't have a printer, so a bummer after spending $90 on 2 people. so make sure to print out any coupons if you want to use them.

10+ vegetarian dishes available in their lunchtime buffet. Vegetarian food separated from meat dishes. Kids and adults will find dishes they love. Mine are 14, 12, and 1. All of us love this restaurant and go whenever the kids are off school. It's clean and the staff is attentive and friendly. Highly recommend!

I have to start by saying I've been coming here for years and enjoy the food, and the service (for the most part). Every time we come here it's a gamble if we get the lady named Summer or not, and I have purposely requested a different server. She is not fit for this profession, and before anyone questions my judgement, I have been a restaurant manager for years now for a very successful independently owned fine dining steakhouse. She has poor table manners, speaks very slow and quiet, is very awkward, talks about random things at the table, and makes me feel very uncomfortable. I once witnessed her scold another employee in front of me, right after I asked him to get something for me. I would give this place a 5 if not for her and of course will continue to come for the food and other wonderful staff members.

I LOVE the food here. Excellent lamb rogan josh. They'll adjust the heat from 0 to Indian Hot which makes it easy to please the whole table of people. The vegetable samosas and raita really make the meal. If you need more rice just ask. The servers are helpful for those new to Indian fare so don't be afraid to ask lots of questions. I've learned a lot over the years just by asking questions. This is my favorite Canton eating establishment and I'm thrilled for their larger location which is set up in a more convenient manner for lunchtime buffet customers.

We love this place. We eat in when we can and do take out often. Such great food and great service. I wouldn't eat Indian food from anywhere else in canton. The chicken tikka is amazing.
