DELICIOUS ! Best pizza ever!! The meatball sub was also amazing. Usually, I find that meatball subs from pizza places have w very strange aftertaste. But Angela's sub was fantastic.

Ok, so I love pizza, buy I love Angela's pizza even more. Seriously, these guys put love and care into the pizzas they make - they genuinely LOVE what they do. The pizza is always fresh, oozing with cheese and the crust is a perfect blend of soft and crunchy. They always have lots of experimental pizzas - I even got a slice of "PB&J" which was like a big cookie with peanut butter, jelly, and a crumb topping. Oh, and their panini's are to die for - especially the Eggplant Parmesan. If you haven't tried Angela's, you're seriously missing out!

Angela's Pizza & Pasta is a casual pizzeria located in the Fairview Plaza (south bldg). The place is order at the counter and there is ample self serve seating in the spacious dining area. They serve up traditional & signature thin crust pizzas (16"-18") and Sicilian pizzas by the slice or whole, plus subs, wraps, pasta dinners, salads, appetizers, wings, and Pepsi fountain drinks. They also have a salad bar, which is included with eat-in dinners before 9PM. 3 varieties of gluten-free pizza are offered. The prices here seem reasonable, most individual items under $10, most dinners $6.95-$12.95. Dinner specials and weekly specials are offered here, different specials each day. See the menu at angelashudson.com I stopped in at Angela's for a quick bite after shopping nearby. I decided to order 2 specialty pizza slices and received a free medium Diet Pepsi fountain drink since it was a Saturday special, which came out to around $5. The slices were heated up in the hot oven. The service was prompt and friendly. The pizza slices were very tasty and flavorful with a firm thin crust, which was crisp on the outside and soft inside. The first pizza slice had broccoli, tomato, basil, oil, and a thick layer of mozzarella cheese. The other pizza slice had ricotta cheese, pesto drizzle, and plenty of thick tomato sauce. I would definitely return to this Angela's location in Greenport to try out one of their pasta dinners (Linguini with Clam Sauce or Carbonara) with the salad bar and bread.

So on Super Bowl Sunday I ordered 2 large pizzas, one cheese and one with green peppers. When it was delivered they gave us 2 cheese pizzas. I figured they were really busy and it was a honest mistake, but I did pay for the topping so I called to see what they would do to correct the situation. They told me they would make me another pizza with green peppers and deliver it. That was fine with me, I was willing to take whatever they wanted to offer, even a $2 store credit would have been fine... But this is what they offered so I took it. When the delivery guy came and delivered the pizza he said he needed to take the other cheese pizza back. We gave it to him but it really concerns me why they took the other pizza back and what they did with it. I would hate to think they took it back and gave it to someone else, or used it for slices... Either that or maybe the delivery person got a free pizza. I would also hate to think they took the pizza back to just throw it out, because that would have been such a waste. Anyhow, that really knocked them down to 2 stars for me because we basically ended up waiting over 2 hours for one pizza, and now I can't help but wonder what they did with that other pizza...

Top-notch food, at pizzeria prices! I don't know if this is a five star place, as other reviews have suggested, but I can tell you this... Out of the bunch of times I have been here, it has proven to be a fantastic value for the money. You get MORE than what you pay for, that's for sure. First of all, I have to give props to their Calamari. Some of the best I've ever had, even having been to the so called "best" seafood places in Brooklyn and Long Island. I won't mention any names, though. Everything from their chicken Parmesan heroes, to their wings, are great! But you may be asking, how can a chicken Parmesan hero be "bad"? Trust me, it's possible. I remember at another pizzeria, I received a sandwich with cheese on like, half the sandwich. That place went out of business about 5 months later... As if that's a surprise... I do have to complain about one thing. Sort of. Their regular cheese pizza. I ordered a piece one time, and it was just kinda loose and greasy. Certainly edible, and for the money, they don't try to be something they're not, but just know, it's a typical "dollar slice", if you've ever been to one of those places. Even still, for what they charge, it pretty much can't disappoint. And that didn't affect this rating, by the way. As far as service goes, because I know people love to hear... It's good. It was a bit slow at times, but nothing really complaint-worthy. I'd just say the service was OK overall. However, when it comes to friendliness of the staff, I've found few places that have such nice workers. For a restaurant to receive a rating of five stars, it has to be unbelievably good, or I just have to love that type of food. And I guess in that sense, I'm being a bit biased. I suppose if I were to give this place a more proper rating, factoring in service, quality of food and price, I'd say this is about 4.5 stars. That "big five" is hard to give, just like that, but I can tell you this. When I return... If I once again receive excellent service, and top-notch food for the price, as I always have, I will change my rating to a five. Final Summation: If you want an Italian place to eat for cheap, and for that price receive food well above what you pay for, Angela's of Hudson is the place you want to go. You may even want to see a movie next door at Fairview Cinema and make a day of it. And at the end of the day, it is no wonder that everyone raves about this place. What may look like your typical pizzeria and restaurant, is actually a sleeper hit, and you're cheating yourself if you haven't eaten at Angela's.

One of the better pizza places around. Fairly inexpensive. Daily specials and have online coupons.
The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.
Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.
If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
