Brio Tuscan Grille Menu

Sorry, We are updating this restaurant menu details.

I really want to eat here soon. My wife and I have stopped here on a number of occasions for a drink and something light at the bar...dessert or an appetizer. Brio is such and welcome addition to the food choices at Willowbrook Mall that I'm willing to make the trip to give it a try for dinner. When we stopped in the other night we were just getting a drink and an appetizer and it was such a great experience I wanted to Yelp it even before I eat a meal here. The bartender was engaging and very nice...we ordered a couple glasses of wine and their Quatro Bruschetta appetizer - not something I normally would order, but I'm glad I did. It was EXCELLENT! So, if you're in the area and want a nice place to grab a drink and appetizers...or a full meal, give Brio a shot...I plan to very soon.

This used to be my go to restaurant on a Friday night if all the other restaurants had long wait times. Their menu is so-so but the food was always decent. But the last time I went, I felt like we got ripped off. I wanted to order Salmon because my friend had ordered it last time and really liked it. But I guess they changed the menu because the salmon dish I got was completely different from what my friend got last time. The portion was ridiculously tiny. It was a tiny, thin portion of salmon. It looked like it came from the tail end of the fish. And there was a lot of veggies to compensate for the tiny portion of fish. Now in their defense, the menu did specify that it was a "Light" dish. But I thought that just meant that Salmon had fewer calories than Steak. I thought I was the only one who got ripped off, but my friend said he got tiny portions as well. He ordered the crab cakes and said he got a tiny portion of crab cakes and a huge portion of vegetables. We both left feeling empty and unsatisfied. If we'd wanted to eat veggies, we would have gone to a vegetarian restaurant or simply ordered salad. I was very disappointed by this experience.

**WARNING** I took a party of 5 to Brio of Willowbrook, I'm at a loss for adjectives based on this experience. Several of my guests had dietary concerns that we explicitly expressed to our server from the onset. That is after we booked a reservation and waited almost 30 minutes to be seated, this seating error was attributed to some sort of "mixup" despite the fact that we called before we arrived to confirm (and seating was available when we arrived). My guests specifically ordered NO bacon/ pork with their dishes, while I kindly asked for no cheese with my burger. The waiter assured us this was not a problem: except that I received my burger with cheese, and my Halal observant friends got bacon in ALL their dishes. The waiter seemed offended when we asked for the food to be returned- we were left under the impression the staff would prepare the food we had initially requested, but it seems the waiter/ staff picked out the bacon bits/ cheese BY HAND, then served it back to us. Finally before we received our check the same host spilled wine on my suit- I have yet to find a dry cleaner capable of removing the stain. My friends and I were deeply insulted, I assured them we would never make the mistake of patronizing Brio again. I kindly urge anyone reading this to consider any of the 10 quality Italian restaurants located within a 5 mile vicinity of Brio.

the 4 stars was for the food and the manager's service, NOT for our waitress' service whatsoever. She must be new because during the whole time I had dinner there, the waitress came over once to say hi in the middle of dinner. She would get zero stars. The manager was basically our waiter for the night, bringing us drinks and food and checking up on us. Food was delicious, great flavor. One complaint would be my husband's meal was sitting under the heat lamp for too long so his chicken was on the dry side. He was too hungry to complain and wait for a new one. Definitely would recommend the shrimp and eggplant appetizer and the crab and shrimp crusted salmon.

My biggest pet peeve is when restaurants incorrectly estimate wait time for a table! Coming here at about 8pm on a Saturday, I kind of expected a wait time - and when quoted a 10-15 minute wait for a table for 6, I didn't think that was too bad; however, we ended up waiting 45 minutes, with barely any apology or acknowledgment. This place is a slightly upscale version of an Olive Garden, without pictures on a laminated menu. Overall, the food was OK. Overpriced for the portioning, and the quality. But the servers seemed friendly, when you can get their attention. I ordered the Chicken Milanese - which was more Chicken Parm than Milanese. It was good, but pretty basic - it had that mass produced, phosphate pumped texture that reminded me of Applebees or Wendy's chicken. Not too sure if i'd come back.

Today was the first time my husband and I visited Brio. The restaurant is quite lovely for an Italian restaurant chain. They staff are all very polite and helpful. We entered the relatively uncrowded restaurant and were surprisingly sat in the far corner away from the general population - now that may be nice for someone who wanted that intimate setting, but I almost thought we could be forgotten about, if our waiter wasn't so attentive. We ordered the Margherita flatbread, bruschetta Quattro, and lobster bisque. The flatbread and bruschetta were fantastic - I could have lived without the soup....it was good but nothing extraordinary. Lastly, was my favorite part dessert! We ordered the chocolate mascarpone mouse and creme brûlée. I tried both and each were quite delightful. Overall the experience was nice and if we're in the area we will stop in again. Prices were fair and food was good!

First time visitor. Went here for a Christmas luncheon with coworkers. The server was very good and attentive to all our needs. And with 11 guys he made a few trips and after the few pitchers of Sangria. Men I found can be very needy and loud. The food was prepared very well. I had the Shrimp Mediterranean. and it was delicious. I was impressed with how they handled our group. All the food out at the same time and drinks refreshed on a regular. Nice place to come with a group. Great job BTG

The absolute ineptitude and glare shining off of the laugh that was our attempted lunch yesterday was previously unthinkable. As the untrained cocky bartenderess walked away after a fifteen minute wait with only three others at the bar saying, "I never have ever written down an order, I'm the possessor of a perfect memory..." I knew it was, "Willowbrook (I know, gasp, this wasn't my choice) we have a problem." Twenty minutes later Pasta BRIO arrives. Problem is Miss Perfect with her self sated smile happily didn't write down against my insistence that I ordered the Roasted Vegetable Pasta. "Dear, I said, when I begged you to write down my order, and your snorty retort was, 'nah, I'm perfect,' we knew the lunch was going to hades, you have brought me a completely different dish, and then finally her picket-fence smile finally went to half stun." Upon returning to the kitchen being the possessor of classic non-compos mentis, our dear protagonist then quickly brought back the same wrong order with the chicken picked out. Now we have a red cream sauce here with mushrooms and tiny bits of fingered chicken on the same plate. What is one to do? Same wrong order TWICE, doubly prepared incorrectly. "Don't worry, I'll take that off the bill." "The manager, she says, will be right over.." Of course this never happened as the "manager" was too busy sitting at a table in the dining room laughing eating chicken. True dat. Of course the moral of the farce is do what I did, beg your waiter or tress to write down your order here at Brio, get shut down, and receive no lunch after two hours. Now..where's that Thai place in the food court. Drats! Roberto Scungilli foiled again. Should have gone to Lunello, a gift from the heavens for your eyes and palate.

I was very pleasantly surprised with this upscale Italian chain. I usually do not have any great expectations for these "mall restaurants", but I recently visited for a Father's Day brunch, and was very impressed with quality of the food and the excellent service. Reasonable prices, and great wine list too.

Eaten here a few times and it was ok but yesterday ordered takeout and that was terrible. My chicken milanese was sub par. My husband had shrimp and crab crusted salmon, which was a tiny shrimp/crab cake plopped on top of the smallest piece of salmon. For dessert I ordered creme brulee, which consisted of custard in a plastic cup the size of a shot glass, no sugar torched topping. Appetizer was the calamari, which my husband said was rubbery. We will be crossing this off our list and throwing away our mybrio rewards card.

  • Raymond K.

The food was just ok, it wasn't terrible but it wasn't spectacular. The worst part was waiting for the food. There were 3 tables in the restaurant and we waited close to an hour between the appetizer and the entree.

  • Crystal M.

Loved it here and definitely want to go back. More upscale for a mall restaurant. A little on the pricier end but definitely worth it. So many good options. Portion size is good. The service was kind of hit or miss - good at some pointS but our salad sat on the counter for at least 10 minutes before it was brought to us and it wasn't that busy. Besides that it was good though.

I came here for a nice Italian anniversary dinner with my boyfriend. After having previously been to Italy, we're on a journey to satisfy our Italian cuisine cravings. I wouldn't say Brio did it justice, but the food was nothing short of delicious. The meals were plated nicely and looked extremely appetizing. Everything I tried that night was absolutely scrumptious. The restaurant itself is very fancy, and if you ask me, a little too fancy. I don't think the quality of the food is grand enough to be a place where reservations are needed and a nice outfit is necessary. It's honestly nothing more than a glorified Olive Garden. The service was mediocre. Nothing special, but certainly nothing to complain about. We were also seated by the very noisy kitchen, where we could hear the waiters and cooks yelling some unpleasant things. At least it provided entertainment! Overall, it has delicious food, but it had that "chain restaurant" feeling.

I had my birthday dinner here last week and it was great! They were able to set our table of 26 in their private room that's sectioned off from the rest of the restaurant which made the event more enjoyable. The staff was very friendly and patient with such a big crowd as well. I got the sweet potato and chicken risotto which was delicious! The other entrees were good as well, but the half roasted chicken was quite dry. The only thing is that most of the menu items are very pricey and the portion sizes aren't that big. Overall, it was a very lovely experience!

Had a nice afternoon dinner here and it was well worth the dining outdoors. The place was not packed at all for a beautiful day like today. I requested to be seated out on the patio in which I was promptly seated. Had a 500 calorie meal; salmon with asparagus and sweet potatoes, it was SO good. The salmon was perfectly prepared, and everything was nicely seasoned. Very refreshing. The only reason I gave it 4/5 stars is because my silverware was dirty with dried food on the fork. All in all I would definitely go back again.

Great atmosphere..was welcomed from the moment we came in. Food was excellent, we had the grilled pork chops and cod special. Both were cooked outstanding. The seasoning for both dishes were just awesome. Yes, a little on the pricey side but the service you are provided makes up for it. Even the manager stopped by to make sure we were completely satisfied with our meal and service. It's always about the customer experience for me and we were completely satisfied. You must give this place a try.

Had no idea this was a chain restaurant as it felt like a private family owned single location restaurant. I stopped in while I was on the road and sat at the bar. Bartender was very friendly. I had the lobster bisque to start and it was nice and light. The chicken and quinoa was decent but light as well. Overall pretty good. Will be back when I'm in the area.

Went here for dinner and drinks last night and have mixed feelings about this place. I'll start with the pros: Good food. I had the Mediterranean Shrimp and my wife tried the Pesto Pasta from the low-calorie menu with Caesar salads. I'd say above average quality and decent portions for the "light" menu. Another pro was the drink and wine list. Good selection of Italian and other wines at reasonable prices. My wife enjoyed her martini and cosmopolitan, as well. My final pro? Decor and atmosphere. They did a nice job of making you feel at a Tuscan wine cellar (bar area) with good mood lighting and the dining room was nicely adorned with romanesque hints throughout. Now for the cons. Service, service, service. I Highly recommend that if you go here, please eat in the dining room. I emplore you to do so, in fact. I can't speak for the waiting staff in the main room but I suspect that there's a reason why the ones in the bar area are there. Service is atrocious. Not only did the bartender get our order mixed up with another table, he didn't ask if we wanted to add a salad to the entrée, then tried to charge us for the wrong dinner again at the end. Highly unprofessional. The place wasn't busy at all so there is no excuse for him to be as overwhelmed as he seemed. I'd go back, but only for the main dining area and never again opt for the bar.

Convenient place to meet friends for dinner before going to the movies. A typical Italian chain place that I would rank 1 notch higher than Macaroni Grille and 3 notches above Olive Garden. Ambiance - not overly noisy and nice for having conversation with the group. Not too crowded, but busy enough. Pleasant decor and comfortable, not pretentious. Service - waiter was very professional and courteous. However it took very long for him to show up and take our order. Also, we had to wave him down a couple times to come by to order drink refills. The restaurant was not crowded. Bread - we were not served bread. When leaving the restaurant, we noticed other tables had wire baskets of bread on them. Since it was the first time anyone in our party dined at Brio, we weren't sure whether or not we should have been served bread. If yes, one more strike against the service. Salads - most in our party ordered salads before dinner. The salads were doused in dressing and the lettuce was very soggy. It seems like a large bowl of lettuce must be dressed in advance, then used to supply the dinner salads later. Dinners - I had the grilled salmon salad. The salmon was grilled perfectly and the asparagus was very good. But it was on a bed of the same soggy, dressing drenched lettuce I mentioned earlier. A few in the party had pasta dishes which came out on oversized plates, in undersized portions. Women all finished their dinners. The men were still hungry. General consensus was that the food was ok, but next time better off going to a non-chain for Italian. Tip: Definitely order dressing on the side!

I've been to this restaurant 3x in the past month for food and they have not disappointed. I've been to Tuscany region in Italy so I can confirm that their menu has a great selection of popular Italian dishes from that region. I suggest you try everything off their menu because they will not disappoint. The desserts are a bit heavy but not mammoth size like Cheesecake Factory. It's a family friendly place with great ambience and happy hour deals on Wed/Thurs so give it a try.

After a few recommendations, we finally tried Brio. My sister had been here several times and invited for a Saturday night dinner. We were warmly greeted and sat within a short time. Brio offers a nice ambiance, both inside and outdoors. Our waitreess was thorough and service was good overall. Wine and alcohol prices are very fair. Appetizers: Beef Carpaccio-huge portion-delicious Bruschetta with prosciuotto, asparagus, cheese-different and excellent We tasted the lobster bisque soup-good Entrees Ravioli De Bello-mushroom stuffed-very good Pasta alla Vodka-good tasting pasta Lobster & Shrimp fettucine-my brother in law liked it Grilled Mahi Mahi-fish slightly dry but good dish overall Dessert Tried the trio sampler -bread pudding and cheesecake were excellent Enjoyed the experience and would definately return

This is a good place for Italian when your at the mall. I wouldn't go out of my way to go here. I prefer the min and pop places, but for a mall chain restaurant.. Pretty good. The serving sizes are not giant American portions, they are more on the European side with the portion size. They offer more of a Tuscan menu with a northern Italian influence. The decor is nice and the staff is friendly. The prices Are decent, however if your used to large portions you might be upset at the price

Decent Italian chain restaurant, better than the Olive Garden! Their bruschetta quattro was great, perfect for sharing. Campanelli Carbonara was okay, a bit too creamy for my taste, I would not call it Carbonara, they should call it Alfredo. Shrimp Mediterranean is good, I'd recommend that for a non-pasta dish. All of the dolchino desserts are amazing, I've tried the tiramisu and recently the seasonal pumpkin pie one, and they were heavenly. The perfect sweet note to end your meal. I'll be back again in the future!

I've never sent in a complaint or generally give out negative reviews but their service was so exceptional I decided to start here. It wasn't a large party or a busy day. It was simple and to the point and small tasks such as splitting the check was laboring for the bartender. The other staff set great examples with their limited and often vulgar language. At least the bread is always on point and there's plenty. There's your star.

The food here is absolutely amazing. It's a gorgeous restaurant with great tasting food. I'm always satisfied when I leave the restaurant. The staff is very helpful, courteous, and prompt. You do not have to ask twice for anything! They also have a brio rewards card which gives you perks from time to time. Last time I had $10 off my meal. It was awesome!

The best thing about this place is the atmosphere. It really feels like a classy Italian restaurant. Very inviting atmosphere and incredibly clean. The second best thing about this place is the service. It's really good. The third best thing about this place is the food. It's just okay. As for the food, I can't speak honestly about much from the menu. After reading the not-so-good reviews for this place, I played it safe and just ordered a Caesar salad and some bruschetta bread. The 4-style bruschetta bread was okay, but the salad was bland. Bottom line: it's a chain restaurant and it definitely has that feel to it. Keep it simple. I want to say this place is somewhere between the Grand Luxe Cafe for its decor and the Olive Garden for its food.

I love this place! Where to begin..... I guess I'll start with the " bad." Well, I have been here on multiple locations because it is located next to my job and they have great specials on their food, as well as their drinks. I have never dined in the actual dining room, only at the bar and outside on their comfy couches. Now, the 2nd time I was there, the service we received outside was awful! Our appetizer came out AFTER our meals and on top of that our meal was cold! Being in the restaurant industry, i find this completely unacceptable and asked to speak to a manager. Like I said, the service was awful, but I felt bad because I found out that it was our servers first week and I did not want to get her in trouble, so i just complained about the delivery of our food. Luckily, the manager was super nice and brought us out brand new meals, comped a round of drinks and our late appetizer. NOW ONTO THE GOOD!!!! ANYWAYS, the reason that I chose to go back after that experience, was because the drinks and the food were delicious! If you go for happy hour, sit in the bar and Larry will take care of you! Can't beat $5 awesome martinis, $3 appetizers, sangria etc... so worth it. If it's nice out, sit outside on one of their couches and people watch! It's in a great location, right next to one of the entrances to the mall... which means the parking can be horrendous. Just go.... It's worth it and ask for Larry at the bar :) Definitely one of the my favorite happy hour spots when I am in the area.

A very nice atmosphere with reasonable prices. The server was very detailed and knowledgable about the product. Everything came beautifully plated and tasted terrific. I have to pull back to 3 stars though because the roasted vegetable and mashed potatoes were not hot. As if the starch and vegetable sat on the plate for a while waiting for the protein and died. I would come back, but I'm not in love with it.

Visited on a Saturday for a late lunch after running a bunch of errands. I enjoyed the decor and the open feeling of the space. They cook in an open kitchen so the clanging of pots and pans makes it a bit noisy but also adds some charm in my opinion. This place is brand new and hasn't been open to long. There are going to be growing pains with any new business, and Brio is no exception. The food was tasty however the service needs some work. I ordered a chopped salad and the shrimp and crab cakes with mixed vegetables. My partner in crime had the cream of mushroom soup and the chicken parm. We both thought the food was solid, didn't blow me out of the water but certainly didn't scare me away. Well seasoned and tasty. Portion size is average, but I always feel like lunch is small. The service issues were two fold. After finishing our soup and salad our main dishes were brought out but the dirty plates were never cleared. So our dirty plates joined us for the rest of the meal. The table was large enough where it wasn't in the way but c'mon clearing dirty plates is service 101. Multiple staff members and managers walked by our table and made no attempt to clear anything. Also I witnessed a busboy spill half a glass of water onto himself and the floor around the table across from us. Other then wiping it up he looked around to see if someone saw him and went about his business like nothing had happened. I waited 10 minutes before I let our server know who had him dry it immediately but again, something simple gets overlooked due to sheer laziness. Would I return? Perhaps. The service left me with a bad taste even though the food was enjoyable. I feel like their are better Italian venues in the area.

We love Brio and don't get there often enough. A week or so ago, we made a last minute decision to go there on a Saturday (early evening). As always, service was awesome. We had a slight mishap with our appetizer, but the situation was taken care of by the manager immediately! Sorry we don't remember our server's name - he was wonderful. The rest of our dinner was delicious - they are definitely working to please the customer!

Had no expectations going into this last minute dinner. Nice looking Italian place. Going for that upscale vibe but hits the mark. Waitress was attentive and actually very helpful. We had the bruschetta sampler to start which I highly recommend. The prosciutto and asparagus bruschetta is excellent. My basil and cucumber gimlet with gin was really tasty. Had the lemon chicken and pasta with vodka sauce. Both very tasty but nothing great. We enjoyed it here and would possibly return in the future. Reasonably priced and lots of awesome options to choose from. No beer on tap though?!?!

Aweful service ! 30 min wait for a server to come to the table followed by forgetting 2 of the dishes to be served waitress apologiEd left and then never came back. Being the 1st time to eat at BRIO my impression of them is awesome, friendly Hostess, Waiter/Bartender, and Management. Prompt service food came out quickly and very tasteful. To select desert is brought to you on a tray to pick from, and the Alcohol drink were made perfectly not strong but not watered down. I would recommend and will return again.

Brio has a nice atmosphere. Very nice to hold a conversation. Acoustics are much better than most chain restaurants which tend to be too noisy. Overall food is good - sometimes very good, sometimes just so-so.

The food is fantastic. A little pricey but worth it. One of my favorite things is the Lighter Side menu. All the dishes I've had so far are full of flavor and 500 calories or less so they're guilt free. The first time I visited Brio was in Scottsdale and the food was memorable so I was excited when this location opened up. I've probably been here well over 10 visits now I haven't been disappointed yet.

Had dinner here during the week and it was OK! Our server was great but the meal itself was blah! The kitchen did not only burn both entrees they were not even served the way it is supposed to with missing sides. We of course sent it back, and got back slightly less burnt meal. I've had lunch here before on a weekend and it was great, but this time not so much maybe because it was during the week Beware!

Brio Grille is the ONE & ONLY Italian chain restaurant that I would ever recommend to my friends AND family. Feels like an old time, top notch family restaurant in every way. In summry: SERVICE - Outstanding, helpful, knowledgable, courteous, patient - 5 stars FOOD - Creative, large selection, highest quality, tasty, satisfyinh, loved it - 5 stars AMBIANCE - Fantastic, comfortable table arrangements, ... - 5 stars HOSTESS DESK - Only area needing improvement - 3 stars My daughter and my new favorite place. My first assumption about this place, was that it was an Italian style spin-off of the Cheescake Factory, as the aesthetic and the overall feel (waiters ear button-down shirts and ties with black slacks too) reflected Cheesecake. But it turns out, they're not at all affiliated. That aside, I ventured into here during a rigorous shopping spree that required a much-needed refuel. Since this initial visit, I have been there again and I can honestly say that this is not just another fast food mall joint with an overinflated menu. I have thoroughly enjoyed every meal and drink that I have had at Brio. The venue is specious and welcoming, the service is great, the menu is definitely great with some twists on traditional Italian dishes. I love the sangria there! It's sweet with a little kick and served with fruit. I also love the fact that the kitchen is flexible. I wanted the Chicken Milanese but they served it with pasta instead of arugula. I asked the waitress if she could give me the traditional style with the arugula and the kitchen was happy to oblige. The cook even came out to make sure he understood what I wanted. The dish was delicious and the accommodating service was the icing on the cake. Speaking of which, the dessert is great too! The chocolate cake was great! Enjoy!

fun casual place to meet friends and eat. the bruschettas are really good I've tried the steak and shrimp and both have been great. the lunch portion salad is a generous size and very good. the sweet potato chicken risotto was flavorful but on the salty side i probably should have mixed my salad to balance it a bit.

I agree with the comment that this is the Italian version of Cheesecake Factory without the giant menu. The service was very good, the food, just OK. My salad was terrific, my main course was just OK. They do take reservations, which is really nice or you could end up waiting an hour or so.

  • Dani R.

I liked this place, but I have GOT to comment on the salad I ordered - the bistecca insalata. I asked for the dressing on the side, since I hate when they drown the lettuce in it. SO - out comes my "salad", which was a head of lettuce and a friggin steak knife in the middle of it surrounded by some chopped tomatoes, bacon, and cheese that they probably stole from Ruby Tuesday's on the other side of the mall. I wish I took a picture of it - I died. I go out to eat, because I'm lazy and don't feel like chopping up lettuce for my own meals. Other than that - food was ok. Not bad, but not great. I liked the "homey feel" to the place. I'll probably be back - just because it's at the mall....

(More like 2.5 stars) I was looking for a dinner place last minute.. Read previous reviews...the establishment is relatively new, and they're still working out "kinks". The place reminds me of an Italian version of "Cheesecake Factory" w/o the obnoxious 50 page menu... Food was "good" - "not bad". Nothing blew us away!!! Service was friendly- that said, I'll take a "good attitude" & a "smile" with a few "missteps" anytime! ##TIPS## Sangria was a total miss YUCK! Wine list was limited on solid lower end selections..."Lite menu" worth exploring. Could use some specials (if there was no-one told us) Desserts were pretty good!! SOOOO if you're waiting for 45 minutes for a table @ a nearby place...Don't hesitate to try

Came here with a friend because I wanna try it out. Left very disappointed and still hungry. Ordered the artichoke dip and there was not enough dip for our flat bread. The flat bread is basically a huge stale tortilla chip. It was not good. 1 star off. Service was not good. We had to wave down a waiter to take our order and ask what was the specials. One more star off. It was not busy there and they had more than enough waiters walking around or standing there. Ordered the chicken under the brick and the chicken marsala. Both of the chicken was so dry and the sauce was gross. It wasn't good at all. Then We ordered the dessert sampler. It wasn't to our liking either. Why was there Basil in my butterscotch dessert? I don't understand. Also our tiramisu tasted like it had alot of alcohol in there,.weird. our strawberry cheesecake was rock hard frozen. Ughh...two stars off I definitely won't be back. I gave one star for the red sangria. That was good.

For a chain restaurant Brio Tuscan Grill is not bad at all. Great cocktails and delicious meals. Waiting staff is efficient and abundantly available and did I mention the great cocktails!!! They have a loyalty card for nice rewards ... ask for it if they don't already automatically give it to you with your check.

Let me start by saying great effort and team work with everyone. The outside of the restaurants really say so much but is not enough just by looking at it. Once you head inside, it will make you want more and more. Beginning with Roasted Red Pepper Bruschetta. It was amazing and it comes with 9 or 7 pieces. Great smell, taste really great and FRESH!!! Next, I had Tuscan Grilled Pork Chops with mashed potatoes and roasted vegetables. They give you these beautiful medium or large size pork chop that you cannot say no to. So well seasoned and marinated. The chefs sure do care about his food. It was great portion for me to eat it. Knowing me, Save the Best for Last: I'm still a young pastry chef where there is still room for me to learn, improve on the way to my path and still do my best. I love plating desserts and also studying on Chocolatier. Its tough but I'm doing it! Welcome to Torta Di Cioccolata rich chocolate cake with warm center topped with vanilla bean Gelato and chocolate sauce. Raspberry for ganish. Sometimes I go to far with my plating dessert but the most simple plating dessert where it comes alive and stay true to itself really stands out. This was my best part and great job for the pastry chef and cooks. Also the server knows the way in the front of the house so great work. Thank you everyone. Keep up the great work and I will be back with more people. So be ready! :D :D :D

We went in for early dinner (5 p.m.) Sunday March 10, and sat at the bar. There were 2 bartenders who were extremely impersonable. The one guy (bald, chewing gum the whole time) seemed like every order that came in (from everyone) was an inconvenience. It seemed like he didn't want to be there at all. Didn't ask us if we wanted a menu, a drink, etc., we had to ask him. He came off very rude, so much so that I'm surprised he's in the hospitality industry. We're usually pretty generous with tips but we made an exception with him. There was a woman (maybe the GM?) who kept ordering them around in front of us, and that same bartender would make faces and comments under his breath. It was actually really awkward to witness and next time, if we go again, I think we'd get a table just so we don't have to be a part of that. The waitstaff were all dressed differently so it was hard to tell who was who at times. Food came slowly, but it was excellent. The layout of the restaurant is strange though; if you're coming from the mall you have to walk through the entire restaurant (past everyone's table while they're eating) to get to the host stand. They should have a host stand by the mall entrance as well.

A friend and I stopped in for lunch today, just to try it out. The restaurant was surprisingly attractive, the lunch specials delicious and the wait staff very accommodating. We were very pleased and will definitely go back.

Great addition to the willowbrook mall area. Food is good, portions can vary but tasty. Bar area is a plus with all the tv screens so the husbands can watch the games or sneak over and catch the score, lol

The place is nice and obviously clean. Today was the grand opening and they were trying to excel in service, but honestly it was a little too much. I stopped counting all the people (waiters, managers) who came to the table to welcome us and give a presentation about the restaurant opening. Food was just ok, nothing amazing, they could improve. But I don't feel I can judge this place based on my first visit here especially on their first day. I'll give them another shot, and if you are looking for a nice atmosphere, you should too.

Food and waiter were excellent but the hostess were strange and not very friendly being seated was awkward. they gave us two different menus so we were confused about which was the one we could order from, but the waiter later explained that they were between lunch and dinner so they were both ok. the brunch menu was much much cheaper and portions were smaller but more then adequate. The calamarI was excellent as well as the spicy shrimp with eggplant app. The lasagna with salad was great and the chicken risotto was also delicious, we will most likely return to try some more of the menu as many things looked delicious. Desert was great too.

Brio has pretty good food, but it's really the environment that's nice. It's very nicely decorated and the bar is really cute! The service was average; our waiter was nice but he reeked of cigarette smoke. I had an entree from the light menu, and it was tasty. Definitely recommend the BBQ pizza for an appetizer. FYI, they also have a gluten free menu for those who have allergies.

Average and overpriced... I'd rather go to Macaroni Grill. Went here around 9pm on a Saturday and it was empty. We started with lobster bisque... which tasted OK, but unfortunately had no chunks and could have been straight from a can. For our entrees, we got raviolis and filet mignon. The raviolis weren't half as good as you'd get at MG, or any other chain italian restaurant for that matter. The steak was average, but it might as well been from Applebees. The only difference is they charged over $20 for it, not to mention it was off their 'smart' menu so it was even smaller. The best part about this was my wife's steak wasn't cooked medium as asked, so we sent it back. The perpetually unfriendly waitress brings it back cut in half, explaining to us that it was indeed cooked medium, as she showed us the middle of the steak was pink (it didnt matter that 75% of the outside of the steak was well done). Apparently, we've never eaten steak before. To be blunt, this place sucked. We actually ended up there not by choice for brunch the next day, and the omelettes and eggs benedict were decent (but nothing you can't get at a diner). Still... I'll never go back, it's like an Applebees pretending to be high class.

I was here with a large group. I like the bar area and restaurant ambiance. The waiter was organized and did a very good job handling the table. The Chicken Limon and salad were good and the bread kept coming. Nice music and atmosphere. Planning on trying again.

Maybe it was my low expectations, but I was pleasantly surprised by the food here. It was a Tuesday night and we were seated outside around 8, so we didn't have a wait or the loud ambience of inside. We also had a really nice server named Matt (I think). The food wasn't amazing, but it was decent - flavored well. We had two appetizers the carpaccio and salad, and a chicken dish. Overall, can't complain. I wouldn't seek it out or crave it, but for the overall price and experience, it's fine for a post-shopping meal.

These guys were not "Gluten Friendly" as their GF menu is titled, at least our server wasn't. I ordered risotto and a wedge salad and when I mentioned to the server that I was gluten free and asked if she could mention it to the kitchen, she snickered, snatched the menus from me, told me nothing I ordered was gluten free (modify it? leave out a sauce? change the salad dressing?!) and she'd be back with a 'Gluten Friendly' menu. The GF menu had nine options: three pastas, three entrees, three salads. One of the entrees was the same as the Salmon on the regular lunch menu, but $5 more expensive and they refused to do a lunch sized portion to match their regular menu. I went with an overpriced salmon salad, comprised of greens, tomatoes, asparagus and a tiny piece of grilled salmon, with a lemon vinaigrette, for $15. I asked for capers to go with it once I saw how sparse the salad was, and that took a good 10 minutes and a good bit of attitude. I don't think I've ever had such snotty treatment when making a special request at any restaurant, especially one that claims to be 'Gluten Friendly.' I'll never go back and I can't recommend anyone with any special needs do so either.

We were there with a large group, 5 adults, 7 kids on Saturday night. Service was slow and food is really just ok and overpriced. I was especially disappointed with the "Gluten Friendly" menu. It is not safe for anyone with Celiac disease or Gluten sensitive to eat there because of the cross-contamination problem. they offer gluten-free pasta but cook the pasta in the same water as regular pasta. we asked them to cook the GF pasta in fresh pot of water separated from the regular pasta water. it took like 45 minutes to wait for our food to arrive! seriously, how long does it take to boil a fresh pot of water?? overall, the service is poor, food is ok. you would like it it if you like the overly saucy Italian food. but most importantly, Gluten-friendly menu is a JOKE! please take it off or be committed to do it better and train your wait staff and kitchen staff with knowledge on the seriousness of cross-contamination problem.

Sunday lunch for two turned out to be a lucky break for us. Being not familiar with the chain and having noticed it for the first time on this trip to Willowbrook, we thought we would give it a try after checking out the menu. We got the "Italian Cheesecake" vibe as well, but it was not as over the top in decor as the nearby CF location, and it was quieter (fewer hard surfaces) and less crowded just before noon. Both the Sunday brunch and regular lunch menu was available. Although we both enjoy the occasional Italian meal, we both opted for salads with a protein - Grilled Salmon Salad and Brio Sliced Steak Salad. We would recommend both. We also shared a small dessert - also very good. Service was good overall but they should do something about the music - quality and volume did not help the enjoyment of the meal. Next time we'll bring the rest of the family and see what they think.

It's only been open a month so there's still a lot of excitement in the air! Service was excellent and the staff is very friendly. The restaurant is very nice, spacious and comfortable. It was a little bit loud, but not uncomfortable. Food was okay, some in our party thought it was above average. We're definitely going back.

I went to Brio on two recommendations, so I figured we'd try it out. I will say I am often not impressed with chain style Italian food, so I ordered the steak chips with artichoke on top. I'll get to that in a minute. Shortly after we sat down we were greeted by our waiter who kept reinforcing that everything is "excellent" and "unlike anything we've ever had." Of course I was skeptical. However, I glanced at the prices and was thinking for these prices the meal better be excellent! So we ordered the calamari for the table. The portion was just right for three people. I did not understand why the sauces were placed around the calamari instead of actually in dipping dishes. This was definitely a poor choice by the chef. The sauces just bled all over the plate. Calamari was good but presentation was odd and disappointing. I ordered the steak chips and was happy with the steak but quite unhappy with the "artichoke topping." I did not even TASTE the artichoke in the topping. It was breadcrumb. This was just false advertising and was annoying because I do like artichoke and would have ordered something else if they planned to serve me three small pieces of beef cut up with bread crumb on top. Also they beef was served along side sauteed vegetables that were cold. Boo. The rest of the party was disappointed as well. One ordered the shrimp and lobster linguini. First off, she said she could not even cut through the pasta because it just stuck together in a big wad in the center of the dish. Second, the heat in the dish (too much red pepper?) was so overpowering that the lobster and shrimp were not even tasty. Overall this was a waste of 100 plus dollars. We should have bought some lobsters ourselves and cooked them to enjoy because this place was way overpriced, exhibited false advertising, and the food was sub-par. The waiter also did not seem well versed in the menu and did not even bring us bread until we asked twice. Waste of time and money. Spend your dollars elsewhere!!!

I have been there 4 times since it has opened. I have tried something different every time and have to say the food has been "right on" even when I had asked for a substitution to my entree. The service is a little slow but attentive and the decor is warm and inviting. As with any new place they have to go through some growing pains but based on my experience they should be an EXCELLENT place to take your family for dinner. I will be back......

My wife and I had expectations to eat here on Sunday but being in the area, figured we were at the mall, might as well stop in. The atmosphere was nice, seemed cozy. We entered thru the mall entrance and although we had no idea where to go from there, the staff directed us to the hostess station which was on the opposite side of the restaurant. Seemed a bit awkward as i don't understand why they wouldn't have both entrances covered but saw past this as more an issue with setup. We were seated right away, def a plus. But that's pretty much where it stopped. Here were my issues: 1.) Bread was terrible. The smell was awkward. Thin cracker style bread was better. 2.) I asked if they have a Large bottle of Natural spring water which she said yes. Waitress came back shortly after, said they only have small bottles. ahhh NO, don't feel like spending 5.00 a bottle. 3.) Order Calamari as an Appetizer. They served it with two sides of dipping sauce but to our surprise, the presentation had the calamari in the middle surrounded by the two types of sauce. I think a restaurant should have the sides separate as i did not like the sauce. From a taste standpoint, it was cooked properly, but the batter they used caused it to flake apart. Not good. I do like the fact that they used traditional whole calamari. 4.) Midway thru the meal, our waitress bailed and we were left to fend for ourselves. Apparently we found out her shift ended, but never introduced our new waiter. We ended up having two different waiters approach us saying they would help us which made us a bit confused after a good 20 min. 5.) I ordered the Veal Marsala. Pasta was cooked good. Veggies were a bit dry and over cooked. Veal was paper thin. was not fun to eat, didn't even need a knife to cut the veal. This lead it to be dry. And very bland as they did not season it, The Marsala sauce was not bad. 6.) Manager was supposed to come over to see us. Never showed. All in all, i don't think i would ever eat there again. It was an experience, but i'll take Calandra's in Fairfield any day of the week. For the price spent on Brio, i would of expected more. Thumbs down.

Overall, I recommend this to families looking for a good place to eat dinner as a family, without sacrificing quality of food or experience. We have been here a few times with our toddler for dinner, and Brio has been good every time. The restaurant is quite spacious, and the booths are large enough to provide enough privacy that we don't feel like we are sitting on top of other people, or our child is inconveniencing the other guests. The food is great, and the service is attentive. The flatbreads and bruschettas are great starters. We have tried the pasta, fish, and steak options and all have been good (recommend the steak medallions with artichoke crust). The dessert portions are good as well...they come in small cups, so that you can taste something rich without feeling like you ate a ton of food. There is a sizeable kids menu, crayons for coloring, and when we went on a weeknight, they gave my daughter a small pizza dough to make her own pizza. We then watched as they turned her dough creation into a pizza and put it into the oven (it's an open kitchen, so this is easy). We will certainly be back.

I was in the Willowbrook Mall and not knowing much about this restaurant, except that it was quite new, I decided to have lunch with a friend. It seemed quiet for a new place? So I figured we can get out quickly to shop more. We went to the host stand and no one acknowledged us, no smile, no hello. Finally, someone a little older than the rest of the hosts, said "oh hi" and sent us on our way to a table that was still dirty with glasses and the seats had crumbs on them. So they sent us to another table. And gave us a few menus without explaining anything. Our waitress came over and said can I get you anything? Anything? Yes I would like a hello, a welcome and maybe some explanation on the menus, which we did not get. We ordered water and finally had to ask the waitress for bread because I noticed another table had it. And she said "Yup". That's not how you talk to a customer. And we didn't get the bread til our food came out. After ordering and waiting 35 minutes for our lunch ( which the soup was cold and had a skin on it and the salad was not tasty at al), the waitress never came over to see if everything was ok or if we needed anything... I asked someone else who the manager was, so I can speak with them and they said there are two , one named Kelly and one named PJ. I asked to see one of them, as I wrote down their names. They never came to the table, I asked again, and the waiter ( not my waitress, because I couldn't find her and she never told me her name), he said that PJ was very busy and that they couldn't find Kelly. THAT WAS IT!!! I got up and finally my waitress appeared, I asked for my check and left. I have NEVER experienced that in my life and I hope I never do. If I could give no stars on this YELP page, I would. What a dirty, smells like grease, and unorganized restaurant. They need to shut down, clean it and hire better management,( they are terrible )and staff. I WILL ABSOLUTELY NEVER COME BACK!!! . I have already spread the word on my experience at Brio Tuscan Grille. Don't expect to see much of Wayne people and don't expect to succeed!!! Your the worse staff I have ever seen, and the food was terrible!!!

This place is poorly run. We had a reservation but still waited with large party for 45 minutes. Food came out very slow we waited an hour be apps came out. After another long wait the manager comes by and informs us they have run out of certain items and 4 in my party have to substitute their choices . No sorry for the 2.5 hours we have been here and still have not had dinner. When to food did come the food ran from good to just ok. Surely not worth it unless management improves but I see from other this is not a one off. I don,t think I will go back.

The food at Brio was good. However, our table and the other 4 around us waited for our food for 2 1/2 hours. The manager came by and our server was very communicative but they definitely have issues in the kitchen. This was my first experience here and honestly, probably my last.

Surprisingly good, especially for a mall restaurant! Our waitress was really friendly and suggested some really tasty drinks. The food was surprisingly flavorful - I was expecting more of an Applebees or Cheesecake factory approach, and was very pleasantly surprised. My only complaint is the weird layout - you have to walk this really long corridor to get to the tables, which was a little confusing.

My parents came here when it first opened and loved it. So when my mom came back into town and wanted to try it again, I was all for it. I started with the lobster bisque, my mom a salad, and my husband the tomato/mozzerella salad. My husband's was wonderful. The salad was soggy. I sent my bisque back because it was cold had obviously been sitting there for awhile, as it had a film on top. When they brought me another one, it was hot but it was in a broken bowl. The soup was so salty it burned my throat. It tasted like cream, salt, and a bit of seafood stock. I ended up sending my dinner back too. It had no seasoning not even salt. My mom had to send hers back too. She ordered mahi mahi and it came out burned and dry. We had to flag someone down in order to get anything. Water. Cream for the coffee. our check. We didn't get our bread until we had finished our dinner. This place is overpriced and the food isn't good. the service is friendly but slow and sparse. I won't come here again.

The food is actually very good! Much more refined and sophisticated than your other chain restaurants. Even my picky husband complimented on the lamb chop and pasta he ordered. I love the triangle crisps and the basil pear fizz cocktail. The spicy shrimp and eggplant is also excellent. The only thing is that the food is on the salty side, even for me who put salt on everything. This is our first visit, so I don't know if it is just tonight, or not .... But otherwise we will definitely go back.

You will like the atmosphere. If you're like me you will not be very impressed with the food. It is very nicely laid out. Very peasant. Warm colors. Sweeping drapes and open kitchen. But honestly why so heavy on the all the spices and salt and garlic. You could not escape it. In that regard it felt like a glorified Olive Garden. Overdone. Processed. It was packed so maybe that's what people like but that's not what I look for when I pluck down good money for a night out. If I make a return trip, it will be at the bar area for drinks and apps. Not for dinner. The bar area was attractive.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
